In den Fign. 1 und 2 sind zwei Ansichten eines Schreibtisches gemäß einem ersten Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung gezeigt. Der Schreibtisch 10 weist eine Schreibtischfläche 12 mit einem vorderen Rand 14 und einem hinteren Rand 16 auf Längs des hinteren Randes 16 verläuft ein in diesem Ausftihrungsbeispiel gegenuber der Schreibtischfläche 12 leicht nach unten versetzter Materialstreifen 18, der in diesem Ausführungsbeispiel als aus lichtdurchlässigem Kunststoffmaterial bestehend gefertigt ist. Dieser Materialstreifen 18 deckt (teilweise) einen Kabelschacht 20 (siehe Fig. 2) ab, zu dem man Zugang durch einen hochklappbare Klappdeckel 22 erhält, der sich ausgehend von der Schreibtischfiäche 12 an den Materialstreifen 18 anschließt. Die kurzen Teilabschnitte 28 erstrecken sich im Wesentlichen rechtwinkelig zum hinteren Rand 16, während die langen Teilabschnitte 30 im Wesentlichen parallel zum hinteren Rand 16 verlaufen. Claims (10)

  1. Writing table comprising
    - a writing table surface (12) having a front edge (14) and a rear edge (16), and
    - at least one cable passage opening (26) at the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12),
    - the writing table surface (12) having a cable insertion slot (24) extending through it which is open toward the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12) and merges into the cable passage opening (26),
    characterized in
    - that the cable insertion slot (24), when seen in plan view onto the writing table surface (12), comprises at least two part-sections (28,30) arranged at an angular orientation relative to each other.
  2. Writing table according to claim 1, characterized in that the cable insertion slot (24) has a width dimension and that the cable passage opening (26) is wider than the cable insertion slot (24).
  3. Writing table according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cable insertion slot (24) is substantially L-shaped.
  4. Writing table according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that, on the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12), a plurality of cable insertion slots (24) are formed, each of said cable insertion slots leading to respectively one cable passage opening (26).
  5. Writing table according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12) is joined by a pivotable cover (22) extending along the edge (16), with a cable channel (20) extending below said pivotable cover which toward the writing table surface (12) is covered by the rear edge (16) and, in the closed state of the pivotable cover (22), by the pivotable cover.
  6. Writing table according to claim 5, characterized in that the cable channel (20) is entered by a cable inlet opening (48) arranged below the writing table surface (12).
  7. Writing table according to claim 6, characterized in that the pivotable cover (22) has a faceplate (50) provided on it which, in the closed state of the pivotable cover (22), is arranged within the cable channel (20) in front of the cable inlet opening (48).
  8. Writing table according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12) or the pivotable cover (22) is provided with a grip recess (44) allowing the pivotable cover (22) to be manually gripped and pivoted upward.
  9. Writing table according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12) is made of a light-transmissive material, particularly a plastic material.
  10. Writing table according to claim 9, characterized in that one or a plurality of backlight sources (46) are arranged below the rear edge (16) of the writing table surface (12).
