Definitions
- the present invention generally concerns the technical field relating to equipment for processing meat and, in particular, refers to an improved mincing machine; the device involved can be either domestic or professional, useful for the needs of kitchens, hotels, restaurants, guesthouses and communities in general.
- the invention refers to an automated safety device, acting at the mincing mouth of the mincing machine, and which, through a linear mechanized movement, allows the consequent connection or the relative insulation of the machine from the electrical supply; phases of connection and insulation are obtained through a simple pressure of a rod inside the mincing body on an activation device of the electrical supply.
- the mincing machines of known type are essentially provided with a load hopper, inside of which the meat to be minced is introduced, and an outlet, which is engaged in the manifold of a cylindrical body.
- Mincing machines of known type are described for example in documents EP 0303956 A2 and EP 1832346 A2 .
- Reduction and transmission means, of the helical screw type are positioned within the cylindrical body, which push the meat against one or more rotating knives, subsequently passing it through a perforated output disc which can be replaced in order to determine the desired calibration thereof.
- Refrigerated mincing machines are also known, i.e. mincing machines provided with a hopper having the bottom refrigerated.
- One of the main drawbacks of the mincing machines of known type consists in that, during the usual maintenance and/or cleaning operations, which are necessary in order to remove meat or its rests remaining inside the mincing machine, since it is necessary to release and subsequently screw the mincing mouth to the mincing body, it is also necessary that these operations could be performed fully safely, without any risk for the operator, due to, for example, a sudden activation of the rotating shredding blades.
- general purpose of the present invention is to solve the drawbacks of the prior art in a new, very simple, economical and highly functional manner, and, in particular, purpose of the invention is to provide an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, suitable to ensure the insulation of the electrical activation circuits from the supply, during maintenance and/or cleaning operations, and a proper connection between them, during normal operation of the mincing machine.
- Another purpose of the present invention is to create an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, which allows to perform the assembly and disassembly operations of the various components, in order to get a total hygiene and cleanliness of the internal organs of the mincing machine, fully safely and according to the regulations in force in point of electrical safety.
- Another purpose of the present invention is to create an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, which is reliable and effective.
- Further purpose of the invention is to provide an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, which is particularly effective, convenient and secure and which, at the same time, provides production costs greatly limited, compared to the known art, given the advantages achieved.
- the mincing machine 1 which uses the automated safety device, object of the present invention, has a shaped hopper (not shown in the attached figures), which is used for the introduction of the meat into the mincing body 2, positioned below the hopper.
- the substantially cylindrical mincing body 2 is mechanically connected with a driving motor and a reduction gear 19 of the speed of rotation and includes a mouth 16 for the introduction of the meat to be minced, which can be blocked by a user through the use of a nut 22.
- the mouth 16 leads to an inner conduit, which ends at a substantially cylindrical portion of the mincing body 2, placed at the exit hole of the minced meat; the inner conduit contains a helical screw 21 and at least one rotating knife 13, moved by a shaft 24, which at the output is, in turn, connected, through a bearing 11, to the reduction gear 19 and related flange 23.
- the action of the helical screw or helix 21 and blades of the knife 13 causes exit of minced meat from the mincing body 2, through a perforated plate or disc 14, blocked by a terminal nut ring 18.
- the shaft 24 is hollow and contains inside a rod 25 having one end connected with an elastic device 4, and the other end inserted into a seat 5, made in the end of connection of the helix 21 with the shaft 24, through the interposition of the tensioning ring 12.
- the helix 21 presents a washer 6, into which a pin 17 is inserted.
- This mechanism allows a helical motion of the group formed by the shaft 24, the helix 21, the rotating knife 13, the group being blocked at the end by the perforated plate or disc 14, the pin 17 and nut ring 18 which is parallel to the perforated plate or disc 14.
- the whole is then bucked, at the other end of the shaft 24, and kept in use position (position shown in figure 2 ) by the action of the elastic device 4 (typically a compression spring), positioned so as to externally surround a portion of the lateral surface of the rod 25.
- the elastic device 4 typically a compression spring
- the rod 25 compresses the spring 4 and reaches the triggering device 15 (typically consisting of a micro-switch), placed over the spring 4 itself and supported by the plate 50 and flange 26, as well as by the pin 20, which activates the electric supply circuit.
- the triggering device 15 typically consisting of a micro-switch
- a rotation of the nut ring 18 (even only of a predetermined section), which is then unscrewed in order to access the internal components of the mincing machine, firstly causes the release of the compressive forces exerted on the compression spring 4 and then the backing of the entire group composed by the shaft 24, the helix 21, the rotating knife 13, and the rod 25, inserted into the shaft 24 and the seat 5 of the helix 21; in such a way, the compression spring 4 tends to come back to its rest position, automatically removing the rod 25 away from the triggering device 15.
- the maintenance and cleaning operation of the blades of the mincing machine is thus easy and safe, in total absence of electrical supply, because, as soon as the nut ring 18 is moved in unscrewing and removing phase, an automatic disconnection of the electrical supply from the machine is got, so that the operator can act, during cleaning and/or maintenance phases, in complete safety.
- the subsequent automatic reconnection of the electrical supply to the machine is also advantageous and efficient, since it is sufficient a simple screwing of the nut ring 18, up to a predefined position (which usually corresponds to a complete screw of the nut ring 18), so that the same returns to exert pressure on the elastic device 4 and then on the activation device 15 of the electrical supply.

Description
- The present invention generally concerns the technical field relating to equipment for processing meat and, in particular, refers to an improved mincing machine; the device involved can be either domestic or professional, useful for the needs of kitchens, hotels, restaurants, guesthouses and communities in general.
- More specifically, the invention refers to an automated safety device, acting at the mincing mouth of the mincing machine, and which, through a linear mechanized movement, allows the consequent connection or the relative insulation of the machine from the electrical supply; phases of connection and insulation are obtained through a simple pressure of a rod inside the mincing body on an activation device of the electrical supply. Currently, the mincing machines of known type are essentially provided with a load hopper, inside of which the meat to be minced is introduced, and an outlet, which is engaged in the manifold of a cylindrical body. Mincing machines of known type are described for example in documents
EP 0303956 A2 andEP 1832346 A2 .
Reduction and transmission means, of the helical screw type, are positioned within the cylindrical body, which push the meat against one or more rotating knives, subsequently passing it through a perforated output disc which can be replaced in order to determine the desired calibration thereof. - The helical screw is driven in rotation by an electric motor, through a kinematic motion with gear wheels which allow the transfer of motion. Refrigerated mincing machines are also known, i.e. mincing machines provided with a hopper having the bottom refrigerated.
- In any case, maintenance and cleaning operations are periodically necessary, both in case of failures and/or malfunctions due to the mechanical reactions of the various components during processing of the meat masses, and to limit bacterial growth.
- In addition, according to the current regulations in point of safety, during disassembly operations of a mincing machine (in order to perform the aforesaid maintenance and cleaning operations), the machine must be completely insulated from the electrical supply, so that any risk is completely avoid, for example due to a sudden activation of the electrical board or on account of a short circuit, for the operator's safety.
- Within the above mentioned requirements, then, general purpose of the present invention is to solve the drawbacks of the prior art in a new, very simple, economical and highly functional manner, and, in particular, purpose of the invention is to provide an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, suitable to ensure the insulation of the electrical activation circuits from the supply, during maintenance and/or cleaning operations, and a proper connection between them, during normal operation of the mincing machine.
- Other purpose of the present invention is to create an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, which allows to perform the assembly and disassembly operations of the various components, in order to get a total hygiene and cleanliness of the internal organs of the mincing machine, fully safely and according to the regulations in force in point of electrical safety.
- These and other purposes are achieved by an automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, according to the attached
claim 1, as hereinafter referred made for the sake of brevity; additional technical features of the safety device are set forth in the other appended dependent claims. - Further structural and functional features of the present invention and its advantages over the known technique will result more clear and evident from an examination of the following description, relating to a preferred and illustrative, but not limiting, embodiment of the automated safety device, according to the invention, and from the appended drawings, in which:
-
figure 1 is an exploded assonometric view of a mincing machine, to which the automated safety device of the mincing mouth, according to the present invention, is applied; -
figure 1A is a partial and enlarged view of the mincing machine offigure 1 , according to the present invention; -
figure 2 is a cross section view of the mincing machine offigure 1 , in operating position; -
figure 3 is a cross section view of the mincing machine offigure 1 , in maintenance position. - With reference to the figures mentioned, the
mincing machine 1, which uses the automated safety device, object of the present invention, has a shaped hopper (not shown in the attached figures), which is used for the introduction of the meat into themincing body 2, positioned below the hopper. - The substantially
cylindrical mincing body 2 is mechanically connected with a driving motor and areduction gear 19 of the speed of rotation and includes amouth 16 for the introduction of the meat to be minced, which can be blocked by a user through the use of anut 22. - The
mouth 16 leads to an inner conduit, which ends at a substantially cylindrical portion of themincing body 2, placed at the exit hole of the minced meat; the inner conduit contains ahelical screw 21 and at least one rotatingknife 13, moved by ashaft 24, which at the output is, in turn, connected, through a bearing 11, to thereduction gear 19 andrelated flange 23. - The action of the helical screw or
helix 21 and blades of theknife 13 causes exit of minced meat from themincing body 2, through a perforated plate ordisc 14, blocked by aterminal nut ring 18. - According to the invention, the
shaft 24 is hollow and contains inside arod 25 having one end connected with anelastic device 4, and the other end inserted into aseat 5, made in the end of connection of thehelix 21 with theshaft 24, through the interposition of thetensioning ring 12. - On the opposite side of the
seat 5, thehelix 21 presents awasher 6, into which apin 17 is inserted. - This mechanism allows a helical motion of the group formed by the
shaft 24, thehelix 21, therotating knife 13, the group being blocked at the end by the perforated plate ordisc 14, thepin 17 andnut ring 18 which is parallel to the perforated plate ordisc 14. - The whole is then bucked, at the other end of the
shaft 24, and kept in use position (position shown infigure 2 ) by the action of the elastic device 4 (typically a compression spring), positioned so as to externally surround a portion of the lateral surface of therod 25. - During operation of the
machine 1, with thenut ring 18 completely screwed on thebody 2, therod 25 compresses thespring 4 and reaches the triggering device 15 (typically consisting of a micro-switch), placed over thespring 4 itself and supported by theplate 50 andflange 26, as well as by thepin 20, which activates the electric supply circuit. - In this way, an electrical constant and reliable supply is guaranteed to the mincing machine.
- During maintenance and/or cleaning operations, a rotation of the nut ring 18 (even only of a predetermined section), which is then unscrewed in order to access the internal components of the mincing machine, firstly causes the release of the compressive forces exerted on the
compression spring 4 and then the backing of the entire group composed by theshaft 24, thehelix 21, the rotatingknife 13, and therod 25, inserted into theshaft 24 and theseat 5 of thehelix 21; in such a way, thecompression spring 4 tends to come back to its rest position, automatically removing therod 25 away from the triggeringdevice 15. - The maintenance and cleaning operation of the blades of the mincing machine is thus easy and safe, in total absence of electrical supply, because, as soon as the
nut ring 18 is moved in unscrewing and removing phase, an automatic disconnection of the electrical supply from the machine is got, so that the operator can act, during cleaning and/or maintenance phases, in complete safety. - After that, the subsequent automatic reconnection of the electrical supply to the machine is also advantageous and efficient, since it is sufficient a simple screwing of the
nut ring 18, up to a predefined position (which usually corresponds to a complete screw of the nut ring 18), so that the same returns to exert pressure on theelastic device 4 and then on theactivation device 15 of the electrical supply. - The features of the automated safety device of the mincing mouth of a mincing machine, which is the object of the present invention, as well as the resulting advantages are clear from the description made.
