Der höhenverstellbare Fuß 2 in Fig. 1 weist einen Gewindeschaft 4 auf, dessen Außengewinde mit einem Innengewinde eines Schneckenrades 6 in Eingriff ist. Der Gewindeschaft 4 ist aus Kunststoff gefertigt und als Hohlkörper ausgebildet. Eine Schnecke 8 steht im Eingriff mit dem Außengewinde des Schneckenrades 6. Sie Schnecke 8 ist ferner über eine Antriebswelle 10 mit einem stirnseitig an einem Haushaltsgerät angeordneten Antrieb (nicht gezeigt) verbunden. Ein derartiger, von einem Benutzer des Haushaltsgerätes bedienbarer Antrieb kann beispielsweise als Schlitz in der Antriebswelle 10 oder als Griffaufsatz für die Antriebswelle 10 ausgebildet sein. Der Gewindeschaft 4 weist 2 gegenüberliegend angeordnete, abgeflachte Gewindebereiche 12 auf. Dabei sind die Gewindegänge lediglich teilweise abgeflacht. Das verbleibende Gewinde im abgeflachten Gewindebereich steht noch (mit reduzierter Überlappung) mit dem Innengewinde des Schneckenrades 6 in Eingriff. An einem oberen Endabschnitt des Gewindeschafts 4 weist dieser einen gewindelosen Ansatz 14 auf, der sich über eine Höhe ha erstreckt. Dabei beträgt die Höhe ha mindestens ein Drittel einer Höhe hs (Fig. 2) des Schneckenrades 6, wodurch ein versehentliches Ausdrehen des Gewindeschafts aus dem Innengewinde des Schneckenrades 6 verhindert wird. Der Ansatz 14 weist zwei kreuzförmig zueinander angeordnete Schlitze auf, die das Ansetzen eines Werkzeuges, wie z.B. einen Schraubendreher ermöglichen. Der Gewindeschaft 4 taucht durch eine Öffnung (nicht gezeigt) einer Lagerplatte 16, die ein bodenseitiges Versteifungselement des Haushaltsgerätes bildet.The height adjustable foot 2 in Fig. 1 has a threaded shaft 4, whose external thread is in engagement with an internal thread of a worm wheel 6. The projection 14 has two cross-shaped slots arranged on each other, which allow the attachment of a tool, such as a screwdriver. The threaded shaft 4 dives through an opening (not shown) of a bearing plate 16, which forms a bottom-side stiffening element of the household appliance.

Ein Teilbereich der Lagerplatte 16 bildet einen Boden 19 eines Gehäuses 18, das in Fig. 2 gezeigt ist. Schnecke 8, Schneckenrad 6 und Antriebswelle 10 sind im Gehäuse 18 gelagert bzw. geführt. Das Schneckenrad 6 ist dabei mittels einer oberen Anlage 7a am Gehäuse 18, sowie einer unteren Anlage 7b am Boden 19 geführt. Der Abstand zwischen oberer Anlage 7a und unterer Anlage 7b entspricht einer Höhe hs des Schneckenrades. Dabei erstreckt sich die mit dem Schneckenrad 6 in Eingriff stehende Verzahnung nur über einen mittig angeordneten Teilbereich der Höhe hs. Der verbleibende Bereich der Höhe hs dient zur besseren Lagerung des Gewindeschafts 4. Dieser wird dadurch besser im Schneckenrad 6 geführt, wodurch eine mögliche Kippbewegung des Gewindeschafts 4 eingeschränkt ist. Eine Oberseite 20 des Gehäuses 18 weist zwei gegenüberliegend angeordnete Anlageelemente 22 auf, die mit dem abgeflachten Gewindebereich 12 des Gewindeschafts 4 in Eingriff sind und einen Drehschutz bilden. Die Anlageelemente 22 stehen dabei von der horizontal ausgebildeten Oberseite 20 des Gehäuses 18 rechtwinklig nach oben gerichtet ab. An einem unteren Endabschnitt des Gewindeschafts 4 ist ein Fußteller 24 angeordnet, der eine Ausnehmung 26 aufweist. Mittels einer Achse 28 ist eine Rolle 30 in die Ausnehmung 26 einrastbar. Dabei ist die Rolle 30 auf der Achse 28 drehbar gelagert. Der Fußteller 24 ist optional mit oder ohne Rolle 30 verwendbar.A portion of the bearing plate 16 forms a bottom 19 of a housing 18 which in Fig. 2 is shown. At a lower end portion of the threaded shaft 4, a foot plate 24 is arranged, which has a recess 26. By means of an axis 28, a roller 30 in the recess 26 can be latched.
