- Das bekannte Datenkabelanschlussmodul ist recht lang, da es im wesentlichen drei Baugruppen aufweist, nämlich ein Fixierelement, in dem die vereinzelten Kabeladern fixiert und kontaktierbar räumlich definiert angeordnet werden; ein Hülsenelement, in dem die vereinzelten Adern geschirmt geführt werden; und ein auswechselbares Kontaktmodul mit Gehäuse und einem genormten Steckgesicht.
- Das bekannte Kontaktmodul kann mit seinem Fixierelement - nur über Spezialwerkzeuge lösbar - verbunden werden und weist einerseits Anschlusskontakte für die Fixierelementkontakte und andererseits eine übliche Anschlusskomponente, bspw. eine RJ45 Buchse, sowie ein dazwischenliegendes Hülsenelement auf. Die Schirmung der vereinzelten Kabeladern gegeneinander erfolgt beim bekannten Datenkabelanschlussmodul hauptsächlich durch Metallplatten, die sternartig im Hülsenelement in einem Isolator aufgenommen sind, jeweils Adernpaare von anderen Adernpaaren abschirmen sollen und Bestandteil des Kontaktmoduls sind. Es fehlt ein durchgezogener Außenschirm und der Anschluss des inneren Schirmblechsterns am Fixierelement - somit neigt das bekannte Datenkabelanschlussmodul zu Strahlungslecks.

- Einbringen der Anordnung in ein Fixierelementgehäuse
- Herstellen eines Kontaktmoduls durch:
- Vorlegen gebogener Schleifkontakte mit Anschlussenden und Schleifkontaktbereichen;
- Einbringen derselben in einen Isolationshalter;
- Anschluss mindestens einer Leiterplatte an den Anschlussenden der Schleifkontakte;
- Anschluss von Modulsteckkontakten an die Leiterplatte(n) unter Herstellung einer elektrischen Verbindung zwischen den Schleifkontakten und den Modulsteckkontakten durch die Leiterplatte(n);
- Einbringen der Steckkontakte in mindestens einen Abschlussisolatorblock und
- Einbringen des Aufbaus in ein Kontaktmodulgehäuse

Die Schneidklemmkontakte sind andererseits in Schneidklemmkontakaufnahmeblöcken aufgenommen, welche auch Kontaktöffnungen für Modulsteckkontakte aufweisen. Bei Einbau der Schneidkontaktaufnahmeblöcke werden die Aderisolation durchtrennt und so leitender Kontakt mit den Kupferadern und den Schneidkontakten hergestellt. Diese Anordnung ist in einem Fixierelementgehäuse befestigt. An ein derartiges Fixierelement, das hier mit einer über Schraubendreher od. dgl. öffenbare Rasteinrichtung verfügt, kann nun ein auswechselbares Kontaktmodulgehäuse angesteckt werden, das bspw. mit einer RJ45-Buchse oder aber einem sonstigen Anschlusselement ausgestaltet ist.The fixing element can be easily attached to a cable end. Insbesondere bei einem Kategoriewechsel eines Netzwerks von Cat6 auf Cat7 ist ein äusserst einfacher Umbau möglich, ohne dass aufwendig die Kabel neu gezogen oder angeschlossen werden müssen. Dadurch, dass gegenüber den herkömmlichen, auf dem Markt erhältlichen Kontaktmoduln nach DE102004004229B4 ein vollständiges Bauteil (das dort verwendete Hülsenelement) eingespart wird, kann eine vorteilhafte kürzere Baulänge erzielt werden. Da im Gegensatz zum bekannten Datenkabelanschlussmodul, das ein Schirmkreuz in der Mitte besitzt, was keinen ausreichenden Abstand von den Leitern hat, keinen umlaufenden Schirm besitzt und daher keine ausreichende Rückflussdämpfung aufweist, nunmehr eine umlaufende vollständige Schirmung im Fixierelement vorhanden ist, die an den Kontakten des Fixierelements endet, ist der ungeschirmte Bereich der Adern ungleich kürzer gegenüber der DE 102004004229B4 und es erfolgt eine erheblich bessere Rückflussdämpfung. Das System ist dadurch für höherwertige Stecker- und Netzwerksysteme EC7 bzw. Cat.7A offen. Durch die Bauart ist es auch leicht, die Stecker an den Fixierelementen ohne Spezialwerkzeug zu montieren und ggf. auch zu demontieren, wobei bei einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform ein einfaches Werkzeug mit Klinge in die Verschlusseinrichtung eingesetzt und gedreht wird und so die Verriegelung zwischen Kontaktmodul und Fixierelement gelöst wird. Durch das erfindungsgemässe Steckersystem werden u.a. die nachfolgenden Vorteile erzielt:
- Leichte Umrüstung von RJ45 auf Cat.7A-Komponenten möglich durch bessere Schirmung im Fixierelement
- Einfachere automatische und händische Konfektionierung, da weniger Teile
- Herstellung ohne Schneidwerkzeuge
- Leicht ohne Spezialwerkzeug zu entriegeln, falls Auseinanderbau gewünscht;
- in engeren Kabelkanälen, als bisher möglich, einsetzbar, daher grösserer Einsatzbereich
- Easy conversion from RJ45 to Cat.7 A components possible thanks to better shielding in the fixing element
- Easier automatic and manual packaging, because fewer parts
- Production without cutting tools
