Description

The invention relates to a laundry aid article comprising a water-insoluble textile substrate and a bleach-containing laundry aid composition solidified on the substrate. The invention also relates to the use and a method for producing such a coated textile auxiliary laundry article.

In the case of heavy soiling, many consumers also add a washing aid to the liquor in addition to the actual detergent. This is especially true when using liquid detergents that do not contain bleach.

Detergents are available today for the consumer in a variety of forms. In particular, washing aids are offered as powders or granules, since these usually contain bleach. But in particular consumers who use liquid detergents want a washing aid that contains bleach but is not present as a powder or granules.

It was an object of the present invention to provide a bleach-containing laundry aid article which is not convenient as a powder or granule but easy to dose for the user.

This object is achieved by a laundry aid article comprising a water-insoluble textile substrate and a bleach-containing laundry aid composition solidified on the substrate, the laundry aid composition comprising a film-forming polymer.

Such a laundry aid article has the desired advantages in terms of simple and portioned dosage. By embedding the bleach in a film-forming polymer, the bleach particles are effectively fixed on the textile substrate. The bleaching particles are not rubbed off, for example.

Since phthalimidoperoxoalkanoic acids, such as, in particular, 6-phthalimidoperoxohexanoic acid (PAP), are highly efficient bleaching agents, in a preferred embodiment of the invention they are used as bleaching agents. When using phthalimidoperoxoalkanoic acids and in particular PAP, the amount of bleach used can be kept small. As a result, the auxiliary washing article per se does not become too stiff or rigid, but remains flexible.

The film-forming polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, high molecular weight polyethylene glycol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, copolymers of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylimidazole, starch ethers, cellulose ethers, polyacrylates and mixtures thereof.

These polymers form stable, closed films and help to fix the auxiliary washing composition together with the bleaching particles contained therein on the textile substrate. In addition, these polymers are water-soluble or water-dispersible. Some of the polymers have further effects. Thus, when using polyvinylpyrrolidone or a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylimidazole prevents dyes from darker textiles, which dissolve in the washing process of the textile, are transferred to a lighter textile and there lead to discoloration and / or graying. Carboxymethyl cellulose prevents already dissolved dirt, which has already dissolved in the pretreatment and / or during the washing process of a textile, again deposited on the same or another textile. Polyacrylates serve to soften the water and support the washing effect by their alkalinity and by leaching of calcium and magnesium ions from dirt / fiber bridges.

To improve the feel of the auxiliary detergent article, these contain a plasticizer for the film-forming polymer selected from the group comprising 1,2-propanediol, 1,3-propanediol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, 2,3-butanediol, triethyl citrate, paraffin oil and mixtures thereof.

In a further preferred embodiment, the bleach-containing auxiliary washing composition contains a further ingredient selected from the group of surfactants, optical brighteners, bleach activators, bleach catalysts, enzymes, hydrocarbons, builders, fragrances, corrosion inhibitors and mixtures thereof.

In a further preferred embodiment, at least one further composition is solidified on the substrate. In addition to the bleach-containing detergent composition, another, for example, a bleach-free detergent additive composition and / or a textile-care composition can be present on the textile substrate and thus the laundry aid article can be extended by a further functionality. In such a laundry aid article, incompatible ingredients of a detergent may commonly be formulated together in a product.

In this case, it may be preferred that the bleach-containing detergent composition has a color which is different from the color of the further composition, in order to prevent the To visually show consumers that the coated textile detergent adjuvant has multiple functionalities.

It is preferred that the textile substrate is a woven or non-woven fabric. Fabrics and nonwovens have high durability and good resistance, so that these textile substrates can withstand the high mechanical loads during the washing process, especially in a washing machine.

It may be preferred that the bleach-containing auxiliary washing composition and the further composition are arranged side by side on the textile substrate.

In another preferred embodiment, the bleach-containing auxiliary washing composition and the further composition are arranged at least partially overlapping on the textile substrate.

Due to the different arrangement of the compositions, different dissolution profiles and thus release profiles of the constituents contained can be set for the respective compositions.

In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail, inter alia, by way of examples.

The laundry aid article of the invention comprises a water-insoluble textile substrate and a bleach-containing laundry aid composition.

Geeignete textile Substrate sind beispielsweise nicht-gewebte Vliesstoffe oder Gewebe, vorzugsweise aus Cellulose (beispielsweise Baumwolle), Viskose, Polyester, Polyethylen, Polypropylen, Polyethylenterephthalat, Polybutylenterephthalat, Nylon, Rayon, und/oder Polyacryl.Suitable textile substrates are for example nonwoven nonwovens or fabrics, preferably of cellulose (for example cotton), viscose, polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, nylon, rayon, and / or polyacrylic.

The dimensions of the fabric substrate of the present invention should allow for easy handling of the laundry aid article, for example, 10 cm x 10 cm or 15 cm x 15 cm, although other sizes are possible. The textile substrate and thus the auxiliary washing article may be of any surface shape, for example square, rectangular, triangular, round, oval, heart-shaped, letter-shaped or word-like or the reproduction of a brand. The textile substrate may be any color or substantially white; its surface may be substantially smooth or textured due to manufacturing. Preferably, the textile substrate and thus the auxiliary washing article has a surface area (in relation to one side) of 40 cm 2 to 800 cm 2 . In one embodiment of the invention, the textile substrate is roughened at least on parts of its surfaces and thus has an increase in surface area.

In a further preferred embodiment, the textile substrate has an equipment. In the context of this application, equipment is understood as meaning a short-term or permanent, chemical and / or physical change of the water-insoluble substrate which imparts to it certain performance properties, such as, for example, dye catcher properties, mud trap properties or antimicrobial effect. This change can be made to the fibers, which later form the water-insoluble textile substrate, or to the water-insoluble textile substrate.

The finishing of the fibers can be done, for example, by means of a so-called wind-up process in which the fibers are treated with an application liquor, that is, for example, with a solution, dispersion or the like of a color-catching and / or dirt-trapping compound. During treatment, the color-catching and / or soil-collecting compound used from the application liquor draws on the treated fibers evenly. Alternatively, the water-insoluble textile substrate can be dipped into the application liquor or printed or sprayed with it. The antimicrobial finish may be accomplished, for example, by incorporating silver threads during manufacture of the textile substrate or by applying silver compounds such as SILVERPLUS® (ex Rudolf Chemie).

On the textile substrate is a solidified, bleach-containing detergent additive composition.

Die Waschhilfsmittelzusammensetzung enthält zwingend ein Bleichmittel. The auxiliary washing composition necessarily contains a bleaching agent.

Suitable bleaches for use in laundry detergent articles according to the invention are, in particular, organic peracids or pers acidic salts of organic acids, such as perbenzoic acid or salts of diperdodecanedioic acid, and hydrogen peroxide-releasing inorganic salts, including alkali perborate, alkali percarbonate, persilicate and / or persulfate, such as caroate belong into consideration.

Zu den bevorzugten Phthalimidoperoxoalkansäuren gehört 6-Phthalimidoperoxohexansäure (PAP).Preferably, the auxiliary washing composition contains a phthalimidoperoxoalkanoic acid. For example, 4-phthalimidoperoxobutanoic acid, 5-phthalimidoperoxopentanoic acid, 6-phthalimidoperoxohexanoic acid, 7-phthalimidoperoxoheptanoic acid, N, N'-terephthaloyl-di-6-aminoperoxohexanoic acid and mixtures of these come into consideration. Preferred phthalimidoperoxoalkanoic acids include 6-phthalimidoperoxohexanoic acid (PAP).

The phthalimidoperoxoalkanoic acid particles may have a coating. It is important that the coating material releases the coated peroxycarboxylic acid under the conditions of use of the auxiliary detergent article (at a higher temperature, by dilution with water-changing pH, or the like). A preferred coating material is one which consists, at least in part, of saturated fatty acid. The chain length of the fatty acid is preferably greater than C 12 , particularly preferred is stearic acid.

In addition, the addition of small amounts of known bleach stabilizers such as phosphonates, borates or metaborates and metasilicates and magnesium salts such as magnesium sulfate may be useful.

It is also possible to use peritrile-forming nitriles, for example acetonitriles bearing ammonium groups, under perhydrolysis conditions.

Ingredients of the further composition may in particular be surfactants, optical brighteners, bleach activators, bleach catalysts, enzymes, hydrocarbons, builders, fragrances and mixtures thereof.

Preferably, the further composition is another, bleach-free, laundry aid composition which, for example, has a different dissolution profile than the first bleach-containing laundry aid composition, thus releasing its ingredients (e.g., enzymes) at a different (later) time in the wash.

The bleach-containing laundry aid composition and the further composition may in one embodiment be arranged at least partially overlapping on the textile substrate.

In an alternative embodiment, the bleach-containing detergent additive composition and the further composition are arranged side by side on the textile substrate.

In a preferred embodiment, the bleach-containing detergent aid composition has a color which is different from the color of the further composition.

In all embodiments, the entire surface of the textile substrate need not be covered with the solidified bleach-containing detergent aid composition and optional further composition as long as the bleach-containing detergent composition is present in at least a portion of the substrate surface, a zone, on the substrate.

The bleach-containing laundry aid composition and optional further compositions may be applied to one or both sides of the textile substrate. Preferably, the bleach-containing auxiliary washing composition and optional further compositions are applied to one side of the textile substrate. This has the particular advantage that the consumer does not have to come into direct contact with the compositions when dosing the laundry aid article, but can easily handle the laundry aid article on the composition-free surface.

It is possible to apply the bleach-containing detergent additive composition as a liquid solution, slurry or paste to the textile substrate and then perform a drying step while removing the slurry or solvent, for example water, to such an extent that the bleach-containing wash aid composition is applied to the textile substrate solidified by drying. Alternatively, the bleach-containing auxiliary washing composition can be applied to the textile substrate as a heated melt and then allowed to solidify by cooling. It is not necessary for the entire bleach-containing detergent additive composition to be liquefied by melting; on the contrary, it is possible for the melt to contain particulate solids, such as, for example, inorganic builders.

Beispielexample

First, a commercially available aqueous PAP dispersion (Euroco® LX from Solvay) was centrifuged. After decanting the supernatant, the PAP particles were slurried with distilled water and recentrifuged. The resulting PAP paste had an iodometrically determined active substance content of 45%.
