Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for blocking an optical lens according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for blocking an optical lens according to the preamble of claim 7.

Fassungsscheibenwinkel, Pupillenabstand, etc. enthalten. An optical lens, for example for glasses, should have certain optical properties. The associated desired optical data of the lens are determined, for example, by an optometrist. These data include, for example, the indication of diopters, data on sphere and cylinder, the pantoscopic angle, etc. Furthermore, these desired optical data and the distance and / or the location to an associated eye, especially when installed in a specific eyeglass frame, ie z , As the pantoscopic angle, face shape angle or frame disc angle, pupil distance, etc. included.

Previously, lenses were used with predetermined optical data, such as diopters available at various levels. Increasingly, however, lenses are used which have the respectively desired, individualized optical data or the associated optical properties. Such lenses are then machined or fabricated depending on the respectively desired optical data, the lenses being machined, preferably by turning and / or milling. For this purpose, the lenses are clamped, which are initially blocked, as explained below.

The WO 2011/054665 A1 , which is to be considered only in novelty, discloses a method for releasing a lens blocked by a thermoplastic block material. The lens is released from the associated block piece by applying a force to the thermoplastic block material.

The EP 2 255 925 A1 , which is to be considered only in terms of novelty, discloses a method for blocking a lens and a corresponding device, wherein for blocking differently sized lenses linearly displaceable ring segments are provided with different sized bearing surfaces for the lens.

Der Aktuator bzw. die Gleitstange greift mittig am Blockstück an.The GB 2 281 525 A , which forms the closest prior art for the subject matter of claims 1 and 7, and discloses an apparatus for blocking a lens. The apparatus includes an actuator having a vertically movable slide bar movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The actuator or the slide bar engages the middle of the block piece.

The US 3,091,062 A discloses a device for deblocking a lens. After insertion of the blocked lens into the device, a force is manually exerted on the lens via a lever arm, so that this from that in the device separates clamped block piece. The block piece can be ejected separately via a spring after separation from the lens.

The DE 10 2008 022 660 A1 discloses a method of processing a lens wherein the lens to be processed is temporarily mounted (blocked) on a so-called block piece as a holder. When blocking the lens is in particular connected by means of a block material with the block piece. Subsequently, the block piece is ejected by means of a centrally acting ejector. The block piece can then be clamped to work the lens.

The present invention relates to the blocking of a lens. By "blocking" is meant the temporary bonding of the lens to an associated block piece, in particular by means of a block material. The block piece thus forms in particular a holder, particularly preferred for later processing of the lens.

The present invention has for its object to provide an apparatus and a method for blocking an optical lens, wherein the output of the blocked lens and in particular the release of a blocking means, such as a block ring, simplified or facilitated.

The above object is achieved by a device according to claim 1 or by a method according to claim 7. Advantageous developments are the subject of the dependent claims.

One aspect of the present invention resides in that an ejection device acts off-center on a blocked lens indirectly or at least one ejection pulse is exerted off-center on the blocked lens indirectly. In this way, a release of the blocked lens together with the associated block piece or from a device according to the proposal can be achieved, facilitated or supported.

The ejector or the ejection pulse acts only indirectly on the lens, on a limiting means for the lens with the block piece connecting block material. The limiting means is in particular a block ring or the like. In this way, a release of the limiting means or block ring can be achieved, facilitated or supported by the blocked lens or the block material.

A sequence of ejection pulses is preferably generated which act directly or indirectly on the blocked lens. As a result, in particular a vibration or vibration is generated. Thus, in turn, the release of the blocked lens from or from the blocking device may be achieved, facilitated, or assisted. In particular, so can the loosening or loosening of the limiting means Block or ring of the blocked lens or the block material can be achieved or supported.

It is preferably in addition to the ejection pulse and an ejector force on the block piece, in particular centrally exerted. The ejector force is preferably generated by an ejector device which can be actuated separately from the ejection device. Thus, a release and removal of the blocked lens together with the associated block piece much easier or supported.

The release and / or ejection preferably takes place by attacking at least one ejection pulse and / or one ejector force in different areas or at different locations. Particularly preferably, both an ejection device and an ejector device are provided. Thus, a release and removal of the blocked lens together with the associated block piece much easier or supported.

The proposed solution as well as the mentioned and following aspects of the present invention each allow an improved release and / or removal of the blocked lens, especially if a block material is used for blocking, which adheres or adheres particularly well, in particular stronger than previously commonly used alloys.

Other aspects, features, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the claims and the following description of a preferred embodiment with reference to the drawings. The only figure shows:
a schematic view of a proposed device with a blocked lens.

The figure shows in a very schematic section a proposed device 1 for blocking an optical lens 2. The blocking (temporary joining or fastening) of the lens 2 takes place in particular in order to enable a (later) processing of the line 2.

The starting point for the creation or processing of an optical lens 2 is a lens blank. This is machined or in other shaping processing and processed in further processing steps so that the end is a finished optical lens 2 with the desired optical properties. The term "lens" in the context of the present description preferably designates both the lens blank before the necessary processing steps are carried out and at the end the finished lens 2.

The lens 2 or the lens blank is preferably made of plastic. However, in principle, any other suitable material to be processed, possibly also glass or mineral glass, can be used. When the finished lens 2 is to be used for a pair of glasses (not shown), which is preferably the case, the lens 2 is also referred to as a spectacle lens in the present invention, even if the lens 2 may not be made of glass.

The device 1 is designed to block or connect the lens 2 to an associated block piece 3.

In the schematic section, the lens 2 is already connected to the block piece 3. This condition associated with the block piece 3 is also referred to as "blocked". The blocking, ie temporary fixing, of the lens 2 on the block piece 3 is preferably effected by a block material 4, in particular a preferably low-temperature melting alloy, such as so-called alloy block material, a resin, an adhesive, a plastic, an adhesive strip or the like.

Jedoch sind auch andere konstruktive Lösungen möglich,The device 1 for blocking the lens 2, in the illustrated example, preferably has a bearing part 5 for receiving or supporting the block piece 3. The bearing part 5 is preferably pivotally mounted like a dome, in the illustrated example, in particular in or on a preferably dome-like mounting 6 of the device 1. However, other constructive solutions are possible,

The block 2 to be blocked with the lens 2 is held at least partially spaced from the block piece 3 of the device 1, so that the block material 4 fill a gap between the lens 2 and the block piece 3 and thereby connect these two together. This space for the block material 4 is surrounded by a limiting means of the device 1, in particular to prevent unwanted flow of the initially liquid block material 4 from the gap. Said limiting means is preferably at least substantially annular and in particular formed by a block ring 7. The block ring 7 is preferably at least substantially annular disc-like or flange-shaped.

The limiting means or the block ring 7 preferably forms a support for the lens 2. In particular, the limiting means or the block ring 7 is circumferentially on the lens 2 and / or on the device 1 or storage 6 or a subsequent plate area.

The limiting means or the block ring 7 preferably seals off between the lens 2 on the one hand and the device 1 on the other hand so that the preferably initially liquid block material 4, at least during filling, can not escape.

For filling, in the illustrated example, the device 1 or the limiting means or the block ring 7 preferably has a corresponding filling opening 7A for the block material 4. However, this filling opening 7A may, for example, also be formed in the block piece 3 or through the block piece 3.

In the illustrated example, the filling opening 7A is preferably at the top or in an upper area, so that the air can escape during the filling of the block material 4.

The device 1 or the bearing part 5, the bearing 6 and / or the block piece 3 can be cooled if necessary, in order to achieve a preferably rapid or faster cooling and thus solidification of the block material 4.

The block piece 3 serves in particular as a holder of the lens 2 for a subsequent processing of the lens 2. For the subsequent processing of the lens 2 is the Block piece 3 in a receptacle, not shown, such as a chuck or the like, clamped, for example, in a workpiece spindle, then the cutting or other shaping processing of the lens 2, in particular by turning and / or milling done.

The blocked lens 2, that is to say the lens 2 connected to the block piece 3, forms a unit which is also referred to below as "block" for short.

After blocking, the block or the blocked lens 2 must be removed. For this purpose, the block piece 3 must be released from the device 1 or its bearing part 5 and also the blocked lens 2 or the block material 4 or the block must be released from the limiting means or block ring 7. The limiting means or the block ring 7 can be placed loosely on the device 1 or around the bearing 6, wherein the device 1 or bearing 6 on the one hand and the limiting means or the block ring 7 on the other hand are preferably formed such that a corresponding coaxial Positioning is achieved or ensured in particular by corresponding axial engagement and / or radial engagement or in any other way. In the case of the preferably only loosely placed limiting means or block ring 7, a separation of the block ring 7, in particular of the block material 4 after solidification of the block material 4, must also be ensured. This is possible in principle since the limiting means or the block ring 7 has a substantially conical or concave inner surface, which enables or facilitates separation from the adjoining block material 4. Nevertheless, this separation can be relatively difficult.

The device 1 comprises an ejector 8 for releasing or assisting the release of the lens 2 blocked by the block piece 3 from the device 1 and / or the limiting means or block ring 7. The ejector 8 attacks off-center on the lens 2 indirectly. At least one ejection pulse, as indicated by arrow A, is produced, which acts off-center on the blocked lens 2 indirectly.

To generate the ejection pulse A, the ejector 8 preferably has a plunger 9, which is correspondingly movable, preferably pneumatically or by compressed air, in particular against the force of a return spring, by a double-acting cylinder arrangement or the like. The ejector 8 is thus preferably pneumatically driven or actuated.

The ejector 8 or the ejection pulse A, acts off-center on the lens 2 indirectly. The ejection device 8 or its plunger 9 or the ejection pulse A directly engages the limiting means or the block ring 7, particularly preferably on the side facing away from the lens 2 Side or in the ejection and / or removal direction.

Diese Achse entspricht der in der Figur angedeuteten Bearbeitungsachse B.The ejection, impulse and / or removal direction preferably extends transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the end face of the block piece 3 facing the lens 2 and / or to the side of the lens 2 or a main plane of the lens 2 facing the block piece 3. Alternatively or additionally the said direction preferably extends at least substantially parallel to a clamping or rotational axis of the block piece 3 during a subsequent machining of the lens 2. This axis corresponds to the machining axis B indicated in the figure.

The ejection device 8 thus acts directly on the limiting means for the lens 2 or the block ring 7, in order to loosen or release the limiting means or the block ring 7 from the lens 2 blocked by the block piece 3 or from the block material 4.

Blockring 7 an. In the illustrated example, the ejection device 8 or the ejection pulse A preferably engages radially outside the lens 2 on the limiting means or block ring 7 extending radially correspondingly far outward. In particular, vibrations or oscillations can thus be generated in a very advantageous manner, which effect or at least support the desired release of the lens 2 or of the block from the device 1 and / or the limiting means or block ring 7 from the block or block material 4.

The limiting means or the block ring 7 is preferably formed at least substantially dimensionally stable or rigid and / or particularly preferably made of metal.

The ejection device 8 or its plunger 9 or the ejection pulse A preferably exerts a tilting moment on the lens 2, the block, the block piece 3 and / or the limiting means or the block ring 7.

The ejector 8 or the ejection pulse A preferably causes a lifting of the blocked lens 2 and the block.

According to an independently realizable aspect of the present invention, preferably a plurality of ejection pulses A or a series of ejection pulses A and / or vibrating or oscillating, in particular of the limiting means or block ring 7, can be produced. Preferably, the ejector 8 is designed to generate a plurality of ejection pulses A and, a sequence of ejection pulses A and / or actuated. Thus, the release of the block or the blocked lens 2 from the device 1 or its bearing part 5 and / or the release of the limiting means or block ring 7 from the blocked lens 2 or the block or the block material 4 achieved or at least supported become.

The plurality of ejection pulses A or a sequence of ejection pulses A can basically act or be exerted indirectly on the blocked lens 2 or the block in the sense of the invention, but this takes place off-center and indirectly via the limiting means or the block ring 7.

The device 1 preferably has, in addition to the ejection device 8, an ejection device 10, in addition to exerting an ejector force, as indicated by arrow K in the figure, on the block piece 3 and / or centrally on the blocked lens 2 or the block. To produce the ejector force K, the ejector device 10 preferably has a plunger 11, which can be moved back and forth accordingly, in particular linearly. Particularly preferably, the ejector device 10 or its plunger 11 is pneumatically movable or actuated, for example, against the force of a Return spring and / or by a double-acting cylinder or the like.

It should be noted that the ejection device 8 and / or the ejector device 10 can also be driven or actuated electrically or electromagnetically as required.

The direction of the ejector force K or direction of movement of the plunger 11 preferably runs at least substantially parallel to the ejection pulse A and / or at least substantially parallel to or along the machining axis B.

The ejection device 10 or ejector force K is preferably exerted on the blocked lens 2 or the block or block piece 3, in particular by a central recess in the device 1 or in its bearing part 5, from the side facing away from the lens 2. However, other constructive solutions are possible.

Particularly preferably, at least one ejection pulse A and then subsequently the ejector force K are exerted. The ejection device 8 is therefore preferably actuated first or in front of the ejector device 10.

However, the two devices 8 and 10, if necessary, also be operated or operated simultaneously.

For example, it is also possible that first a sequence of ejection pulses A eccentrically on the blocked lens 2 and the limiting means or the block ring 7 is exercised and then during which additionally the Auswerferkraft K, in particular centrally, is exercised in order then the Block or the blocked lens finally lift off the device 1.
