Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for supporting a pair of spectacles on a garment, and to an associated method of supporting a pair of spectacles on a garment.
- a support in the general form of ring or closed loop which cooperates with a base, for example by magnetization or a pin-type pin fastening or pin.
- the support is made in the form of a rigid tubular shell in which is provided a receiving orifice of the glasses, the rigid shell being fixed by magnetization on a magnetized base.
- US 6,269,993 B1 discloses a support clip of a pair of spectacles comprising a flat plate and an elastic leaf, the elastic leaf being made of a resilient material and having, on the one hand, a first end connected to the plate by means of a rivet and on the other hand, a second plane free end pressed against the plate.
- the present invention aims to solve these disadvantages by providing a support device that allows a placement of the pair of glasses in the support which is easy, fast and without the need for a precise centering of the pair of glasses when its introduction into the support.
- the one or more branches of the spectacles are guided between the second ends of the support and of the base that are naturally pressed against each other (this guidance being favored by the beveled shape of the second end of the support) , then these second ends deviate from each other (this spacing being authorized thanks to the elastically deformable central arm which flexes under the effect of this introduction), then the glasses or branches come into the interior of the arch support, and finally the second ends automatically come back pressed against each other (under the effect of the central arm which naturally covers its rest position) to prohibit untimely exit of the pair of glasses out of the support.
- second fixing means advantageously ensure the plating against each other of the second ends of the support and the base.
- the fact that the second binding force is weaker than the first binding force makes it possible to have good removable attachment of the support on the base (with a first higher linkage force), while having little effort to provide to separate from each other the second ends of the support and the base when the introduction of the pair of glasses (this gap of course requiring to break the second removable link, which is allowed by having a second lower link strength).
- one of the second removable attachment means and second complementary removable attachment means comprise at least one magnet
- the other second removable attachment means and second complementary removable attachment means comprise at least one magnet of inverse polarity or at least one ferromagnetic element to form a second removable magnetic link between these two second means.
- the advantage of using magnets is to allow easy control of the value of the second bonding force.
- the first fastening means of the base and the first complementary means for fixing the support constitute fastening means secured so that the first ends of the support and the base are integral with one of the other.
- the support device consists of a single piece with a base and a support integral with one another. Such a device is attached to the garment such as a clip on a vertical border of the garment.
- the first fastening means of the base and the first complementary means for fixing the support are removable fastening means so that the first ends of the support and the base are removably attached. one to the other, especially through the garment in situation.
- the support device consists of two separate parts, namely the base and the support, which cooperate removably through the garment.
- one of the first removable fastening means and first removable fastening complementary means comprise at least one magnet
- the other of the first removable fastening means and first complementary fixing means removable element comprise at least one magnet reverse polarity or at least one ferromagnetic element to form a first removable magnetic link between these two first means.
- the advantage of using magnets is to allow easy control of the value of the first bonding force.
- the removable fastening means and the additional removable fastening means are shaped so that the second removable magnetic bond establishes a second magnetic bonding force of value less than that of the first bonding force. magnet established by the first removable magnetic link.
- the first removable fixing means and the first additional removable fixing means have a first magnetization surface
- the second removable fixing means and the second additional removable fixing means have a second magnetization surface
- the first magnetization surface is greater than the second magnetization surface.
- the first removable fixing means and the first additional removable fixing means comprise more magnet and / or ferromagnetic element than the second removable fixing means and the second additional removable fixing means.
- the first removable fixing means and the first additional removable fixing means comprise more magnet and / or ferromagnetic element than the second removable fixing means and the second additional removable fixing means.
- the first removable fixing means and the first additional removable fixing means use for the magnet (s) and / or the ferromagnetic element (s) one or more magnetic materials different from those used for the magnet (s) and / or the ferromagnetic element or elements of the second removable fixing means and second complementary removable fixing means.
- magnetic materials are used to establish two distinct bonding forces at the ends of the support device.
- the support has at its second end a boss, particularly in the general shape of conical nipple or prism triangular base, having two opposite inclined and convergent parts with, on the one hand, an external inclined portion defining the bevel of the second end guiding the introduction of the or branches of the pair of glasses into the support and, d on the other hand, an inner inclined portion defining a ramp guiding the extraction of the branch (s) of the pair of spectacles from the support.
- tapered nipple shape is particularly advantageous to allow introduction of the glasses or more branches at a skew to the vertical.
- the base has a generally arched shape with its first and second ends interconnected by an elastically deformable central arm, this base preferably having a geometry identical to that of the support including a second end of the beveled base.
- the Figures 1 to 3 illustrate a support device 1 according to the invention for supporting a pair of glasses L on a garment V worn by the user of the pair of glasses L.
- the support 3 integrates two magnets and that the base 2 integrates two ferromagnetic elements.
- the base 2 integrates two magnets 21, 22 and the support 3 incorporates two magnets 31, 32 of inverse polarity.
- the base 2 and the support 3 has an identical geometry. More specifically, the base 2 and the support 3 are made from two identical pieces 4, or at least similar. Each piece 4 is made in one piece, in other words it is of the monobloc type. This piece 4 is made of a plastic material, in particular by a method of molding a plastic material.
- the base 2 comprises a part 4 supporting the two magnets 21, 22, while the support 3 comprises another part 4 supporting the other two magnets 31, 31.
- each piece 4 Between the two ends 41, 42 of each piece 4, in other words between the two bosses 43, 45, the substantially flat plate defines an arm central 47 interconnecting these two ends 41, 42.
- This central arm 47 of substantially planar shape is elastically deformable.
- the central arm 47 naturally occupies a rest position in which the central arm 47 plates the second end 42 of the part 4 of the support 3 on the second end 42 of the part 4 of the base 2.
- the support device 1 naturally occupies a configuration in which the central arms 47 of the support 3 and the base 2 internally delimit an orifice 5 closed on one side by the first ends 41, bearing against each other, and the other side by the second ends 42 resting against each other.
- the first cavity 44 accommodates a magnet of parallelepipedal general shape, in this case the first magnet 21 for the base 2 or the first magnet 31 for the support 3.
- each piece 4 comprises two longitudinal tabs or hooks 48 projecting internally into the first cavity 41, on the two longitudinal sides of this first cavity 44.
- tabs or hooks 48 it is possible to glue and / or forcibly mounting the first magnet 21 or 31 inside the first cavity 44.
- the second cavity 46 accommodates a magnet of generally cylindrical shape, in this case the second magnet 22 for the base 2 or the second magnet 32 for the support 3.
- each piece 4 has a diameter reduction 49 at the opening of the second cavity 46.
- this diameter reduction 49 it is conceivable to glue and / or to force the second magnet 22 or 32 within the second cavity 46.
- the second boss 45 externally defines two opposed and convergent inclined portions, that is to say in the form of a ramp, namely an inner inclined portion 450, situated on the side of the central arm 47 facing the first boss 43, and an outer inclined portion 451 opposite.
- the external inclined portion 451 thus allows the piece 4 to present a second beveled end, useful for allowing the introduction of the pair of glasses L into the support device 1.
- the first removable magnetic link produced by the first two magnets 21, 31 has a bonding force, called the first magnetic bonding force, the value of which is proportional to the contact surface between these first two magnets 21, 31, referred to as the first magnetic surface.
- the second removable magnetic link formed by the two second magnets 22, 32 has a bonding force, called a second magnetic bonding force, the value of which is proportional to the contact surface between these two second magnets 22, 32, so-called second magnetic surface.
- the first magnetic surface is equivalent to the free rectangular surface presented the first two magnets 21, 31, while the second magnetic surface is equivalent to the free circular surface presented the second two magnets 22, 32.
- the magnets 21, 31, 22, 32 are dimensioned such that the first magnetic surface is greater than the second magnetic surface, so that the value of the first magnetic bonding force is greater than the value of the second magnetic bonding force.
- the first boss 43 accommodates several magnets (in one or more cavities), while that the second boss 45 accommodates a single magnet.
- the first magnetic surface (equivalent to the sum of the magnetic surfaces offered by the magnets disposed on the first end 41 of the part 4) is greater than the second magnetic surface.
- first magnetic material On the first end 41 of the part 4 one or more magnets made of a first magnetic material, and to have on the second end 42 of the part 4 one or more magnets made of a second magnetic material, where the first magnetic material has a greater magnetization capacity than the second material, to finally have a first bonding force magnetic value greater than that of the second magnetic bonding force.
- this support device 1 The operation of this support device 1 is described below with reference to figures 3 and 7a to 7d.
- the user sets up the support device 1 on the garment V by positioning the base 2 (not visible) on the back of the garment V, by positioning the support 3 on the front of the garment V and by cooperating , through the garment V, the magnets 21, 22 of the base 2 with the magnets 31, 32 of the support 3, for a removable attachment to the garment V.
- the user places one or both branches B of the pair of glasses L in abutment against the second end 42 beveled support 3.
- the user pushes or branches B of the pair of glasses L against the second end 42 beveled support 3, towards the first end 41 of the support 3; this push being shown schematically by the arrow P.
- This thrust force combined with the beveled shape of the second ends 42 of the support 3 and the base 2, exerts a shear force which moves these second ends 42 away from each other; this distance being allowed by the elastic deformation of the central arm 47, the arm flexing during this push as shown schematically by the arrow FL on the figure 7b .
- the support device 1 consists of a single piece with the first end of the base secured to the first end of the support; such a device attaching to the garment such as a clip on a vertical border of the garment.
- the support device 1 does not have fixing means on the second ends of the support and the base. These second ends are simply pressed against each other in a rest situation, because of the geometry and configuration of the central arms of the support and the base.
- the magnets placed on the first ends of the base and the support can be replaced by other removable fastening means, such as for example a pin-type fastening system or pin.
- the base may have a completely flat, non-arcuate shape, distinct from that of the support.
- the support has on its visible front surface a receiving surface of information, such as an advertising logo, a name, a brand, etc.
