Definitions
- the present invention relates to a node member for a frame for a table, to a frame for a table with such a node member as well as to a table with such a frame.
- a frame structure for a table are provided in the base parts with a circular array of mounting holes for securing carrier elements.
- a fastening device for a table base is in this case provided concentrically with the holes arranged on a circular path.
- the coupling member may comprise a connector provided for fixing a table leg and extending from a central body of this coupling member.
- the central body may be provided with a flange, to which two mating flanges are fastened by means of a bolt.
- the mating flanges extend rigidly from one end each of two further connectors which serve to fix rods to support a work surface and whose angle is adjustable relative to one another.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object to provide a node member for a frame for a table, which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages of proposed in the past rack structures for tables. Furthermore, the present invention has for its object to provide a corresponding frame for a table and a corresponding table.
- a node member for a frame for a table with the features of claim 1 by a frame for a table with the features of claim 7 and by a table with the features of claim 14.
- the node member for a rack for a table according to the invention has a fixing portion and a connecting portion.
- a fastening device is arranged, by means of a leg can be fastened to the node component.
- the connecting portion is provided with at least three similar connecting means, each of the connecting means having an axis and allowing connecting a cross member with the node member in different angular positions with respect to the node member.
- the angular position should be defined here about the respective axis of the connecting means.
- the axes of the connecting means are aligned substantially parallel to each other.
- the connecting means are arranged at a distance from the node component according to the invention on a straight line which extends from the fastening device spaced. According to the invention, the axes of the connecting means are arranged substantially perpendicular to the straight line.
- a frame for a table which has at least one pillar, at least one such node component and at least two trusses.
- the leg is fastened by means of the fastening device to the node member, and the trusses are each connected by means of one of the connecting means of the node member with the node member.
- the invention proposes a table with a table top and such a frame, wherein the table top is supported by the frame.
- the idea of the present invention resides in particular in that, by arranging the connecting means on a straight line which is at a distance from the supporting device for the supporting leg, a plurality of node components can be assembled with the aid of traverses into a frame for a table, which can be used as a substructure for Tables of all desired sizes and plate shapes is suitable.
- the reduced number of required connecting means Moreover, it allows, in the design of the connecting means to use a much greater scope for design. A large number of unnecessary, not used in the finished table mounting holes or the like is avoided, which can be beneficial to material consumption and manufacturing costs.
- the attachment portion and thus the fixed to the finished table on the node member leg can be aligned towards the edge of the table top and thus the connecting portion with the connecting means points away from an adjacent edge of the table.
- the visibility of the connecting means on the finished table can be reduced and the appearance of the same still be improved.
- the similarity of the at least three connecting means and the parallel arrangement of the axes of this also makes it possible to build a frame for a table in the manner of a kit, since the trusses similar - possibly of different lengths - trained and in the same way - but possibly different angular position - Can be connected to the node component.
- the axes of the connecting means are arranged substantially perpendicular to the straight line. Adjusting the desired angular positions of the trusses to be connected to the node component with respect to the node component can thus take place in a plane in which the straight line lies. Since the trusses are in particular intended to support a table top, the connecting means in this embodiment can advantageously be provided on the node component in such a way that they are arranged as close as possible to the underside of the table top to be subsequently laid. In particular, this advantageously reduces the visibility of the connecting means. Furthermore, in this embodiment also particularly advantageous that the truss lengths for a given Table configuration can be selected to save material and the connecting portion can supplement the trusses by a proportion of its own length.
- the node component has a T-shape, wherein the attachment portion extending from a central region of the connecting portion substantially perpendicular.
- the thus achieved symmetrical configuration of the node component further improves the flexibility in the use of the node component for the construction of racks for tables of different configurations on.
- the T-shape of the node member allows advantageously particularly good accessibility to the connecting means, in particular to those which are arranged on the connecting portion farthest out.
- these connecting means a connection of a traverse with the node member in angular positions in an angular range of, for example, more than 180 ° can be realized.
- the fastening device for the pillar is adjacent to a free end of the mounting portion.
- the node component is advantageously just as large as required.
- the number of connecting means provided on the connecting portion is greater than three. Preferably, this number is greater than three and odd, more preferably, this number is five. While for a variety of conceivable table configurations already three connecting means on the node member may be sufficient to provide a base for such a table, in particular by connecting node members by means of trusses which extend substantially parallel to a table edge, by means of the two outer connecting means, and by connecting Nodal components with these respectively oppositely arranged node components by means of transverse to the edge of the table top perpendicularly extending trusses by means of the central connecting means is significantly increased by a number of connecting means greater than three of the design freedom in the construction of a frame for a table.
- connection means is particularly beneficial when the connection means as viewed symmetrically with respect to a longitudinal axis of the attachment portion.
- a cross member extending from the middle connecting means arranged on a longitudinal or symmetrical axis of the fixing portion can form edge portions of the plate members in FIG Support area of the plate joint very beneficial and thus contribute to the stability of the table to be built.
- a number of five connection means makes it possible to create a wide variety of table frame variants with the help of the node component, while the dimensions of the connection portion are compact.
- each connecting means is formed as a passage opening which extends through the connecting portion.
- the axis of the passage opening intersects the straight line.
- the passage opening on an inner wall on a locking lug As a result, a first insert which can be inserted into the passage opening can be locked in its angular position relative to the node component.
- the passage opening in the region of an end section is provided with a circumferential step such that the opening cross section of the passage opening is smaller in the region of this end section than in the region of an opposite end section.
- a usable in the through hole first Insert can not fall through the through hole.
- the passage opening is cylindrical or conical, in particular with a small cone opening angle formed.
- a deployable into the through hole first use can be brought by rotation in a desired angular position relative to the node member simply by twisting.
- the connecting means are arranged along the straight line at regular intervals. This allows, for example, in an inclined position of the node member with respect to the trusses, ie when aligning one or more of the trusses at an angle not equal to 0 ° to the straight line and also not equal to 90 ° to this, a simplified determination of the required traverse lengths for a desired table configuration. Furthermore, by this embodiment, the manufacturer-side provision of trusses with defined, previously selected in increments truss lengths to provide a modular frame system, which includes the trusses and node components, easier.
- the distance between the axes of the outermost connecting means is substantially 10 cm multiplied by the square root of 2. This can be beneficial, for example, if two at an angle of 90 ° to each other traverses by means of a node member, which opposite the trusses is arranged such that the trusses at an angle of 45 ° with respect to the straight line on which the connecting means are arranged, are connected. For example, at a rectangular table at each of the four corners such a connection of node member and Travers provided, so the trusses z. B.
- a gradation of truss lengths to build a modular system for table racks in a 10 cm staggering is particularly simple and beneficial.
- the trusses are designed as elongated support profiles with two flanges and at least one extending therebetween web.
- a traverse of great bending stiffness can be obtained in this embodiment, wherein the flanges can be advantageously used for connecting the traverse with the node member.
- each of the traverses is provided with a recess in the region of a respective end section connected to the node component.
- the recess is formed by removing a portion of the web, and the flanges form in the region of the respective end portion of two arm-like extensions, which partially surround the connecting portion.
- the end of a traverse can be processed in a simple manner in such a way that the traverse can be connected by means of one of the connecting means with the node member. Because the flanges already form arm-like projections, it is not necessary to attach corresponding extensions to the crossbar, z. B. to weld or screw.
- each of the connecting means by means of which a crossbeam is connected to the node member, a first use added.
- the first insert has at least one positive-locking element on at least one end face.
- the recess of each of the trusses is in this case pushed onto a second insert, which has at least one engagement element, which engages with the form-fitting element of the first insert.
- the connecting means is formed as a through hole, which is provided with a circumferential step, since the first use then can not fall out of the connecting means so easily to one side.
- the engagement element of the second insert is brought into engagement with the form-locking element of the first insert, and then the recess of the traverse to be connected to the node component is pushed onto the second insert.
- the arm-like extensions of each of the trusses and the respectively associated second insert are formed such that the recess of the crossmember on the second insert, in particular along a longitudinal direction of the crossmember, can be pushed, when the positive-locking element and the Engage engagement element.
- the positive-locking element and the engagement element can be advantageously prevented relative movement of the first insert relative to the second insert in the mounted state. It is achieved in this way, a convenient connection of the trusses with the node member by the first and second inserts with their form-fitting and engagement elements in advance engaged can be brought, advantageously already in the desired relative position of the inserts to each other.
- the form-locking element and the engagement element are formed such that when the positive-locking element and the engagement element are engaged, rotation and translation of the first insert relative to the second insert are prevented.
- the second insert is formed like a clamp and covers an edge of the recess, when the recess of the crossmember is pushed onto the second insert.
- the second insert is provided with opposing engagement elements.
- the first insert is provided on both end faces, each with one or more positive locking elements.
- the first insert and the second insert are designed in such a way that the mutually oppositely disposed engagement elements can be brought into engagement with the form-locking elements of the end faces of the first insert facing the engagement elements.
- the first insert along a circumference from each other regularly spaced grooves arranged.
- the locking tab of the attacks as Through opening trained connecting means in one of the grooves.
- the first insert and the second insert can not be rotated against each other by the engagement of the interlocking and engagement elements, the first insert can not be rotated relative to the node component because of the engagement of the locking lug in one of the grooves.
- the second insert is fixed angularly relative to the node component.
- the traverse can be pushed with its recess on the second insert, whereby the traverse is already prefixed at a predetermined angle to the node member.
- the number of grooves along the circumference of the first insert is selected such that, with the grooves arranged regularly, a number of settable different angular positions of the respective cross members with respect to the node member is achieved which is sufficient to build all desired frame configurations.
- a mounting can be done very quickly and easily, without the angular positions of the traverses to be connected to a given node component would have to be measured in a complicated manner.
- the required angular position can be determined beforehand and be selected exactly during construction by corresponding insertion of the first insert.

- the second insert is equipped with a bracket portion 44, which elastically recedes when bent and can spring back when released.
- the engagement elements 42 and 43 come into engagement with the interlocking elements 38 and 39, respectively.
- the interlocking elements 38, 39 and the engagement elements 42, 43 are designed such that when they engage with each other, the first insert 35 and the second insert 41 can no longer be rotated against each other about the axis 24.
- the second insert 41 is in the angular position of the connecting portion 22 of the node component after the engagement means 42 engage in the interlocking elements 38 and the engagement elements 43 in the interlocking elements 39 11, which is predetermined by appropriate insertion of the first insert 35.
- the locking lug 26 prevents in this state, a rotation of the first insert 35.
- the bores 46a, 46b countersunk on the outside of the flanges 14a, 14b so that the screw heads in the counter 57 disappear without protruding.
- the connection of the trusses 12 is completed with the node member 11 and the trusses 12 can not be deducted from the respective second inserts 41.
- the leftmost cross member 12 shown covers the second insert 41 after pushing the recess 27 on the second insert 41, the edge 34 of the recess 27 from. This is desirable on the one hand from the optical point of view, on the other hand, this cover also offers a touch protection for the fingers of a user and a protection for cables, which may be threaded through the recess 27 therethrough.
- FIG. 13A is shown how can be reacted by means of the connecting means 23 in the connecting portion 22 of the formed in symmetrical T-shape node member 11 to a variety of requirements with respect to the frame construction for a table 1.
- a section of an edge 2k of a table top 2 is indicated, which can be arranged on the illustrated section of the respective frame 6.
- FIG. 13A is a corner of a substantially rectangular one Table top 2 shown. In the area of this corner, two trusses 12a and 12b extend substantially at right angles to one another. The traverses 12 a, 12 b are connected to the outermost connecting means 23 of the connecting portion 22 of the node member 11.
- the middle connecting means or the middle through-hole 23 may in the example of the FIG. 13A be used with advantage for leading a third traverse 12c parallel to the traverse 12b to further stiffen the frame 6 for the table 1 and to increase its carrying capacity.
- FIG. 13B shows how a corner of a table with approximately rectangular final plate edge 2k without additional crossbar 12c can be configured for stiffening.
- FIG. 13C shows a table top, which, as the edge 2k suggests, springs back inside.
- four trusses 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d to connect to the node member 11 at this point.
- a symmetrical construction is achieved when the traverses 12a and 12b are connected to the two outermost connecting means or through-holes 23 with the node component 11, while the two other crossbars 12c and 12d are connected to the node component 11 by means of the further, adjacent, through-holes 23 become.
- the middle connecting means 23 remains free in this example.
- FIG. 13D shows an example, as it is in the table of the FIG. 1 or the frame 6 of the Figures 2 and 3 occurs.
- two trusses 12a and 12b extend substantially parallel to the straight line G.
- the trusses 12a and 12b are in turn connected by means of the two outermost connecting means 23 of the connecting portion 22 with the node member 11.
- a traverse 12c is connected to the node component 11.
- Figure 13E finally shows how two trusses 12a and 12b in the region of a non-rectangular corner of a table top with the edge 2k by means of the node member 11 with each other and with the leg 4 can be connected. This situation is already in FIG. 3 shown.
- the desired angle between the cross members 12a and 12b not equal to 90 ° can be selected quite simply and safely.
- FIG. 14 shows a table 1 according to another embodiment of the invention.
- the table top 2 is lifted from the frame 6 of the table 1.
- a leg 4 is fixed, which supports the table top 2 relative to the ground.
- FIG. 16 shows a magnification to the in FIG. 13B hinted connection of trusses 12 and node member 11 again to illustrate.
- FIG. 16 also shows that the flanges 14a and 14b in the region of their outwardly facing edges 47a, 47b are each provided with an undercut 48, the meaning of which will be explained later. Also will be out FIG. 16 It can be seen that even with this arrangement, the recess 27 provides enough space to thread through cables and plugs can.
- FIG. 17-22 show a node member 11 in individual views.
- the through-bore 23, which forms the connecting means is provided with a slightly tapered inner wall 25, and is additionally provided with a circumferential step 52 in the region of a lower end portion 51.
- An opening cross section of the passage opening 23 in the region of the end section 51 is thereby smaller than an opening cross section of the passage opening 23 in the region of an opposite end section 53.
- the step 52 is in the plan view of FIG FIG. 19 also easy to recognize. If the first insert 35 is inserted from above into the passage opening 23, then it can not fall down, since a part of its lower end face 37b comes to rest on the step 52.
- FIG. 19 further shows the arrangement of the locking lugs 26 on the inner wall 25 and a receptacle 54 for a plate fastener 17. From the FIGS. 17 and 19 In addition, the symmetrical T-shape of the node component 11 of this embodiment is shown again.
- the central passage opening 23 is arranged here with its axis 24 on the line of symmetry S of the node component 11.
- the bottom view of the FIG. 17 and the cut of the FIG. 18 also show that the fastening means 32 for attaching the stand 4 to the node member 11 z. B. may be formed with a conical pin of the node member 11.
- the node component 11 which is preferably produced by means of a diecasting process from an aluminum casting alloy, is provided with a ribbing 55 to avoid accumulation of material and for stiffening.
- the node component 11 is preferably manufactured in one piece.
- FIG. 20 granted a view from below in the hollow pin of the attachment means 32 for the pillar 4, in particular FIG. 22 in a section B1-B1 through the connecting portion 22, the regularly spaced Arrangement of the through holes 23 along the straight line G and the parallel alignment of the axes 24.
- the distance of the straight line G, along which the connecting means 23 are arranged, granted by the attachment means 32 for the pillar 4 a sufficient for a comfortable working distance. This is favorable when connecting the trusses 12 with the node member 11.
- the distance also allows a displacement of the attachment point of the support leg 4 of the course of the trusses 12 away towards the edge 2k of the table top 2.
- This already show the Figures 1-3 This is also favorable insofar as the connecting section 22 is barely visible from the outside when the table 1 is completely assembled.
- the distances of the through holes 23 along the straight line G are preferably selected in the embodiment shown in such a way that the distance of the farthest outward connecting means 23 a (see FIG. 19 ), which is measured across the line of symmetry S and is designated by the reference numeral 56, cf. also FIG. 8 , essentially and taking into account unavoidable manufacturing tolerances is 10 cm and multiplied by the square root of 2. This advantageously makes it possible, in the manner of a modular system, to provide traverses 12 with a length graduation of 10 cm.
- FIG. 23 shows a traverse 12 in a side view.
- the flanges 14a and 14b and the extensions 31a and 31b formed by them in the region of the recess 27 are shown in section.
- centrally arranged holes 46a, 46b with the respective countersink 57 visible.
- the traverse 12 is formed identically in the region of both end portions 13. Their respective extreme end is equipped with a rounding 61, which on the one hand the postponement the traverse 12 facilitates the associated second insert 41, as well as minimizes risk of injury at the end of the traverse, and which on the other hand also avoids that when connecting crossbars 12 with the node member 11 by means of adjacent connecting means 23, the end portions 13 of the traverses 12 collide with each other.
- the cross section of the FIG. 25 shows that the traverse 12 is provided here with an internally hollow web 15. The web 15 is therefore formed by two partial webs 15a, 15b, between which a cavity 68 is formed.
- the cross member 12 is preferably also made of an aluminum alloy in the embodiment shown.
- the second insert 41 is in FIG. 27 recognizable. It is claw-shaped and has the general shape of a U.
- the aforementioned engagement elements 42 and 43 are arranged in the region of opposite ends of the U. These ends are provided with a circular enlarged plate-shaped portion 64, whose dimensions are chosen to be sufficiently large to cover the rounded ends of the traverse 12 and at the same time to cover the through holes 23.
- a semicircular wall 65 is provided to cover the end faces of the extensions 31a and 31b of the traverses 12 in the region of the rounding 61.
- the engagement elements 42 and 43 are formed in the embodiment shown in different ways. This is advantageous since the passage openings 23 are each provided with the peripheral step 52, which leaves the lower opening cross-section of the passage opening 23 slightly lower than the upper one.
- FIG. 28 shows that the engagement elements 42 have two wings 62 projecting outwardly from a pin 63.
- the engagement elements 43 in their overall extension along the section 64 are slightly smaller than the engagement elements 42 and are formed as two projecting annular segments 66.

Alternatively, however, the outer surface 72 may also be cylindrical. In a lower portion of the outer surface 72 of the first insert 35, the grooves 36 extend. Along a periphery of the first insert 35, the grooves 36 are regularly distributed. Preferably, the grooves 36 are spaced 15 ° apart along the circumference. As the FIGS.
- the interlocking elements 38 are formed at the upper end of the first insert by a ring-like protrusion with two interruptions 73, wherein the interrupts 73 are dimensioned such that they can engage with the wings 62 of the second insert 41.
- the interlocking elements 39 are formed with two circular ring segments 74, which in turn can engage with the circular ring segments 66 of the second insert 41 and with these together z. B. to complete a full circular ring.
- the first insert 35 is interrupted by a substantially rectangular opening 75.

Description
The present invention relates to a node member for a frame for a table, to a frame for a table with such a node member as well as to a table with such a frame.
Although the present invention in the context of racks for furniture of various kinds, especially in the field of office and conference furniture, applicable, the present invention and its underlying problem will be described below with reference to the example of a large-scale table, such as for meeting rooms and the like Can be used, explained in more detail.
When furnishing office space, meeting rooms, meeting rooms and the like, a number of tables and table configurations of quite different types are often to be made available. On the one hand, individual workstations, visitors' tables and similar tables of comparatively small tabletop dimensions and with correspondingly a comparatively small number of legs are needed. In addition, however, for larger group of people's meetings, meetings and other events of this type, larger-scale table configurations are to be provided which accommodate the desired number of persons and are suitably shaped. In most cases, the shape desired for the tabletop also depends on the intended use and the space available from. Smaller individual workstations and large meeting tables are often intended to provide the most uniform appearance possible.
Moreover, it would be desirable for the manufacturer of such tables and table configurations as well as for the user and fitter to have a consistent appearance, reduced manufacturing costs and easier inventory, reduced set-up times, easier planning, and greater flexibility in changing or rebuilding existing desk configurations. if, apart from a, if necessary, individual cutting of the respective table tops, for the construction of a larger substructure of a table configuration as well as a smaller individual table in the form of a base frame the smallest possible number of different components would be required.
It is known to the applicant a frame structure for a table, are provided in the base parts with a circular array of mounting holes for securing carrier elements. A fastening device for a table base is in this case provided concentrically with the holes arranged on a circular path.
A disadvantage of such prior art rack structures for tables, however, that for the realization of a large variety of variants in the construction of table configurations, a plurality of mounting holes must be provided, which later, after completed construction of the table, only a very small proportion is ever used. Unused mounting holes are clearly visible after the construction of the respective table. In order to limit the size of the base parts used to an acceptable level, the mounting holes are also made quite small in the known structure, what the freedom of design in the Considerably limits the design of the interface between the carrier and the base part.
The present invention is therefore based on the object to provide a node member for a frame for a table, which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages of proposed in the past rack structures for tables. Furthermore, the present invention has for its object to provide a corresponding frame for a table and a corresponding table.
This object is achieved by a node member for a frame for a table with the features of
The node member for a rack for a table according to the invention has a fixing portion and a connecting portion. At the attachment portion, a fastening device is arranged, by means of a leg can be fastened to the node component. The connecting portion is provided with at least three similar connecting means, each of the connecting means having an axis and allowing connecting a cross member with the node member in different angular positions with respect to the node member. The angular position should be defined here about the respective axis of the connecting means. Here, the axes of the connecting means are aligned substantially parallel to each other. The connecting means are arranged at a distance from the node component according to the invention on a straight line which extends from the fastening device spaced. According to the invention, the axes of the connecting means are arranged substantially perpendicular to the straight line.
Furthermore, a frame for a table is proposed according to the invention, which has at least one pillar, at least one such node component and at least two trusses. Here, the leg is fastened by means of the fastening device to the node member, and the trusses are each connected by means of one of the connecting means of the node member with the node member.
In addition, the invention proposes a table with a table top and such a frame, wherein the table top is supported by the frame.
The idea of the present invention resides in particular in that, by arranging the connecting means on a straight line which is at a distance from the supporting device for the supporting leg, a plurality of node components can be assembled with the aid of traverses into a frame for a table, which can be used as a substructure for Tables of all desired sizes and plate shapes is suitable. The reduced number of required connecting means Moreover, it allows, in the design of the connecting means to use a much greater scope for design. A large number of unnecessary, not used in the finished table mounting holes or the like is avoided, which can be beneficial to material consumption and manufacturing costs. Further advantages of the node component according to the invention are that the attachment portion and thus the fixed to the finished table on the node member leg can be aligned towards the edge of the table top and thus the connecting portion with the connecting means points away from an adjacent edge of the table. The visibility of the connecting means on the finished table can be reduced and the appearance of the same still be improved. The similarity of the at least three connecting means and the parallel arrangement of the axes of this also makes it possible to build a frame for a table in the manner of a kit, since the trusses similar - possibly of different lengths - trained and in the same way - but possibly different angular position - Can be connected to the node component.
As already stated above, according to the invention, the axes of the connecting means are arranged substantially perpendicular to the straight line.
Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention will become apparent from the other dependent claims in conjunction with the figures of the drawing.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the node component has a T-shape, wherein the attachment portion extending from a central region of the connecting portion substantially perpendicular. The thus achieved symmetrical configuration of the node component further improves the flexibility in the use of the node component for the construction of racks for tables of different configurations on. Further, the T-shape of the node member allows advantageously particularly good accessibility to the connecting means, in particular to those which are arranged on the connecting portion farthest out. In particular, in these connecting means, a connection of a traverse with the node member in angular positions in an angular range of, for example, more than 180 ° can be realized.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the fastening device for the pillar is adjacent to a free end of the mounting portion. In this embodiment, the node component is advantageously just as large as required.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the number of connecting means provided on the connecting portion is greater than three. An odd number of connection means is particularly beneficial when the connection means as viewed symmetrically with respect to a longitudinal axis of the attachment portion. In this case, if the node member is used to support a plate joint between two plate members of a table plate for a large table, a cross member extending from the middle connecting means arranged on a longitudinal or symmetrical axis of the fixing portion can form edge portions of the plate members in FIG Support area of the plate joint very beneficial and thus contribute to the stability of the table to be built. A number of five connection means makes it possible to create a wide variety of table frame variants with the help of the node component, while the dimensions of the connection portion are compact.
In a further embodiment of the invention, each connecting means is formed as a passage opening which extends through the connecting portion. In this case, the axis of the passage opening intersects the straight line. By means of the through openings, a reliable, at least partially form-fitting connection of the trusses with the node component can be made possible with low visibility.
According to an advantageous improvement of the invention, the passage opening on an inner wall on a locking lug. As a result, a first insert which can be inserted into the passage opening can be locked in its angular position relative to the node component.
According to a still further improvement of the invention, the passage opening in the region of an end section is provided with a circumferential step such that the opening cross section of the passage opening is smaller in the region of this end section than in the region of an opposite end section. A usable in the through hole first Insert can not fall through the through hole.
In a further embodiment, the passage opening is cylindrical or conical, in particular with a small cone opening angle formed. A deployable into the through hole first use can be brought by rotation in a desired angular position relative to the node member simply by twisting.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the connecting means are arranged along the straight line at regular intervals.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the distance between the axes of the outermost connecting means is substantially 10 cm multiplied by the square root of 2. B. along the long sides of the table in comparison with a rectangular table in which extends at each node component a traverse parallel to the line, as well as a traverse perpendicular to this line, 10 cm longer, in the narrow sides to be selected by 10 cm shorter , A gradation of truss lengths to build a modular system for table racks in a 10 cm staggering is particularly simple and beneficial.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the frame according to the invention for a table, the trusses are designed as elongated support profiles with two flanges and at least one extending therebetween web. A traverse of great bending stiffness can be obtained in this embodiment, wherein the flanges can be advantageously used for connecting the traverse with the node member.
In a development of the frame according to the invention for a table, each of the traverses is provided with a recess in the region of a respective end section connected to the node component. In this case, the recess is formed by removing a portion of the web, and the flanges form in the region of the respective end portion of two arm-like extensions, which partially surround the connecting portion. In this development, the end of a traverse can be processed in a simple manner in such a way that the traverse can be connected by means of one of the connecting means with the node member. Because the flanges already form arm-like projections, it is not necessary to attach corresponding extensions to the crossbar, z. B. to weld or screw.
In a further improvement of the frame according to the invention is in each of the connecting means, by means of which a crossbeam is connected to the node member, a first use added. In this case, the first insert has at least one positive-locking element on at least one end face. The recess of each of the trusses is in this case pushed onto a second insert, which has at least one engagement element, which engages with the form-fitting element of the first insert. In this way, a particularly simple and quick installation of the frame for a table is possible. The mounting can be done simply by inserting the first insert into the desired connection means at the connecting portion of the node member. This is particularly easy especially when the connecting means is formed as a through hole, which is provided with a circumferential step, since the first use then can not fall out of the connecting means so easily to one side. For further assembly, the engagement element of the second insert is brought into engagement with the form-locking element of the first insert, and then the recess of the traverse to be connected to the node component is pushed onto the second insert.
In an improvement of the frame according to the invention for a table, the arm-like extensions of each of the trusses and the respectively associated second insert are formed such that the recess of the crossmember on the second insert, in particular along a longitudinal direction of the crossmember, can be pushed, when the positive-locking element and the Engage engagement element. By means of the positive-locking element and the engagement element can be advantageously prevented relative movement of the first insert relative to the second insert in the mounted state. It is achieved in this way, a convenient connection of the trusses with the node member by the first and second inserts with their form-fitting and engagement elements in advance engaged can be brought, advantageously already in the desired relative position of the inserts to each other.
In a preferred embodiment, the form-locking element and the engagement element are formed such that when the positive-locking element and the engagement element are engaged, rotation and translation of the first insert relative to the second insert are prevented.
In a further embodiment of the frame according to the invention for a table, the second insert is formed like a clamp and covers an edge of the recess, when the recess of the crossmember is pushed onto the second insert. As a result, the appearance of the traverse and created with this frame frame is improved and it is provided protection against touching the edges of the recess of the traverse.
In a further improvement, the second insert is provided with opposing engagement elements. In this embodiment, the first insert is provided on both end faces, each with one or more positive locking elements. The first insert and the second insert are designed in such a way that the mutually oppositely disposed engagement elements can be brought into engagement with the form-locking elements of the end faces of the first insert facing the engagement elements. Thus, a displacement of the first insert with respect to the second insert along a further direction, in particular along the axis of the connecting means can be prevented.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the frame according to the invention for a table, the first insert along a circumference from each other regularly spaced grooves arranged. Here, the locking tab of the attacks as Through opening trained connecting means in one of the grooves. This makes it possible to use the first insert when mounting the frame already in a desired, defined angular position to the node component in the through hole. If the second insert is then brought into engagement with its engagement element or with its engagement elements with the positive-locking element (s) of the first insert, then the second insert is already aligned at a defined angle with respect to the node component. While the first insert and the second insert can not be rotated against each other by the engagement of the interlocking and engagement elements, the first insert can not be rotated relative to the node component because of the engagement of the locking lug in one of the grooves. Thus, the second insert is fixed angularly relative to the node component. Subsequently, the traverse can be pushed with its recess on the second insert, whereby the traverse is already prefixed at a predetermined angle to the node member. Preferably, the number of grooves along the circumference of the first insert is selected such that, with the grooves arranged regularly, a number of settable different angular positions of the respective cross members with respect to the node member is achieved which is sufficient to build all desired frame configurations. In a rack for a table according to this embodiment, therefore, a mounting can be done very quickly and easily, without the angular positions of the traverses to be connected to a given node component would have to be measured in a complicated manner. Instead, the required angular position can be determined beforehand and be selected exactly during construction by corresponding insertion of the first insert.

Although the invention has been described above with reference to preferred embodiments, it is not limited thereto, but can be modified in many ways without departing from the subject matter of the present invention.
Although the described T-shaped configuration of the node member is advantageous, as described above, the connecting portion of the node member could also extend at an angle other than 90 ° to the mounting portion thereof.
Furthermore, the present invention has been described in connection with the frame of a table with a larger number of legs. However, it is clear from the foregoing that tables and their frame with a smaller number of legs, for example, small tables with only three legs, but also a table with only one leg, which is attached to another side, for example, on a wall, can be created by means of the node component according to the invention and the frame according to the invention for a table in an advantageous manner.
The inclination of the supporting leg relative to the node component and with respect to the plane of the tabletop can also be varied. Instead of being exposed to the edge of the table outwardly, the leg can also be attached to the node member so as to extend downward at a right angle to the node member and the table top.
