Definitions

  • the invention relates to a composite element for a hook and loop fastener, comprising a carrier and a textile knitted fabric running on the support, which has warp strands extending in the direction of action and loops which are integrated therein and which are suitable for connection with hook-and-loop fasteners, wherein the support and the knitted fabric are not connected to one another over the entire surface.
  • an adhesive forms a grid pattern with vertically crossing adhesive strips and adhesive-free cells, and wherein the one group of adhesive strips extends in the direction of action.
  • the composite element forms the female part of a hook and loop fastener and is particularly intended for use on diapers.
  • the composite element When used on diapers, the composite element is applied to the front cuff area of the diaper.
  • a fastener tape which is attached to the side of the diaper and has at its free end hooks, completes the hook and loop fastener.
  • Velcro closures can be opened and closed multiple times without compromising the functionality of the closure. In contrast to adhesive closures, velcro closures are insensitive to contact with skin creams or powders.
  • the knitted fabric produced as knitted fabric usually consists of polymer yarns, monofilament and / or multifilament yarns can be used to form the knit, which consist for example of polypropylene, polyester, polyamide or other synthetically processable plastics.
  • the transverse direction corresponds to the preferred direction of the opening for the consumer, the longitudinal direction is oriented perpendicular thereto.
  • the intended for the connection with the Velcro knitted fabric should on the one hand ensure sufficient entanglement with Velcro hooks of the associated fastener tape and on the other hand have a low basis weight, so that the lowest possible manufacturing costs can be achieved.
  • a sufficient number of freely movable loops and fibers is required, the function of which may not be impaired by a bonding of the carrier to the knitted fabric.
  • the knitted fabric must be made so stable and sufficiently connected by the adhesive to the carrier that tearing and tearing can be avoided even with multiple operation of the hook and loop fastener.
  • a composite element with the features described above is known from WO 2006/045118 A1 and the EP 2030600 A2
  • the application of adhesive in a grid pattern with straight, vertically crossing adhesive strips is presented as a possible option.
  • the adjacent strips of adhesive running in the direction of action have the same spacing as two adjacent warp strands.
  • the warp strands have an offset relative to the directionally extending adhesive strips, all warp strands are attached only to the transversely extending adhesive strip, so that the bond strength decreases significantly.
  • the bond strength on the one hand and the Velcro effect on the other hand can vary significantly.
  • the amount of adhesive must be selected so that even with a misalignment still sufficient bond strength is ensured.
  • a printed carrier made of a nonwoven material is used, wherein the carrier and the cover layer are connected by adhesive, which is applied in a pattern with adhesive surfaces and adhesive-free surfaces.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a composite element for a hook and loop fastener with the features described above, which is inexpensive to manufacture and in addition increased Velcro in both force directions, d. H. in the longitudinal and transverse directions and in the angles between.

  • the adhesive pattern is formed not only from perpendicular to each other running, straight adhesive strip, but also aligned in a predetermined arrangement with respect to the knitted fabric, so that the adhesive strips are parallel to the warp strands in the direction of action or perpendicular to the warp strands.
  • the adhesive strips are parallel to the warp strands in the direction of action or perpendicular to the warp strands.
  • a far-reaching bonding of the knitted fabric so that locally there is the ability to connect with the Velcro hooks reduced.
  • adhesive strips are several, for example, provided between two and ten warp strands, which are attached only to the running perpendicular to the effective direction of adhesive strips, so that in the range of this warp strands easier hooking with hook and loop is possible.
  • the Velcro hooks can not only easily engage in the free loops, but also in the other threads of the knitted fabric in the adhesive-free areas. The best local velcro effect is to be expected in the adhesive-free cells, where the knitted fabric is not connected to the wearer and is thus freely movable.
  • a plurality of warp strands extend between two adjacent strips of adhesive running in the direction of action.
  • the distance measured from center to center of two adjacent strips of adhesive running in the effective direction is between four times to ten times the correspondingly determined distance from adjacent warp strands. According to the invention, this is from center to center measured distance between adjacent effective direction adhesive of two strips between 7 mm and 20 mm.
  • the width of the adhesive-free cells is smaller according to the width of the adhesive strips, and in the area located within the frame, the proportion of the adhesive surface is usually between 10% and 50%, preferably between 20% and 30%.
  • the proportion of the area to be provided with adhesive it should be taken into account that, in the case of a large value, both the ability to bond with hook-and-loop fasteners decreases and the costs increase due to the increased adhesive application.
  • the glued surfaces have a significantly lower velcro, since the threads necessary for the function of the knitted fabric are completely fixed by the adhesive and are insufficient for hooking available.
  • the proportion of the surface provided with the adhesive is too low, there is a risk that the knitted fabric will tear off from the carrier or be torn due to an uneven force distribution.
  • the adhesive-free cells follow a rectangular, or square, geometry. Even if no square configuration of the adhesive-free cells is provided, the spacing between adjacent, transversely extending adhesive strips in the range of 7 mm to 20 mm also lies.
  • the distance between adjacent warp strands is significantly lower and according to the invention is between 1 mm and 3 mm, preferably between 1.2 mm and 2.2 mm.
