Ein Teil der Stirnseite 17 ist durch das Verbindungselement 4 verdeckt, der längliche Schlitz 18 lässt jedoch einen mittleren Bereich der Stirnseite 17 frei, so dass dieser Bereich als Anlagefläche für einen Bolzen dienen kann, der hier durch den Schlitz unmittelbar am Bolzen anliegen kann. Auf diese Weise können hohe Druckkräfte über die Kolbenstange 3 übertragen werden, ohne dass das weiche Material des Verbindungselementes 4 belastet wird. Meist bestehen die Bolzen bei Scharnieren ebenfalls aus Metall, so dass die Kräfte über die metallische Kolbenstange 3 und den Bolzen direkt übertragen werden. Claims (9)

  1. Damper (1) for furniture, in particular hinges, having a housing (2) in which a piston (8), connected to a piston rod (3), is accommodated in a displaceable manner, wherein a fluid flows through a flow channel (11) on or in the piston (8) as the piston (8) moves within the housing (2), and a connecting element (4) with a holder (5) for coupling to a component arranged in the holder (5) is provided on the piston rod (3), on the end portion projecting on the housing (2), characterized in that, on the end side of the piston rod (3) mounted on it, the holder (5) has an aperture (18) which allows for direct mechanical contact of an end side (17) of the piston rod (3) with the component mounted in the holder (5), and therefore, under pressure activation, force can flow directly in the axial direction to the piston rod (3) from the component mounted in the holder.
  2. Damper according to Claim 1, characterized in that the aperture (18) is of slot-like design and extends over the entire length of the end side (17).
  3. Damper according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the holder (5) is designed as an essentially cylindrical eyelet.
  4. Damper according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the piston rod (3) is formed from metal.
  5. Damper according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the connecting element (4) is plugged onto the piston rod (3).
  6. Damper according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the connecting element (4) is produced from plastics material and is latched on the piston rod (3).
  7. Damper according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the damper (1) is designed as a pressure damper and higher damping forces are generated when the piston rod (3) is being pushed into the housing (2) than when it is being pulled out.
  8. Damper according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the piston (8) is secured on the piston rod (3) via a metallic slide (13).
  9. Hinge, characterized by the provision of a damper (1) according to one of the preceding claims.
