- Method for the changeover of the hoisting cable (12) of a crane, where the load to be transported may be suspended from a block (3) held by the hoist cable (12) which is guided on a first jib cable sheaf (13a) from single stranded to double stranded operation, where during single stranded operation the end of the hoist cable (12) is detachably connected to the block (3) and during double stranded operation the hoist cable is guided on a block cable sheaf (17) that is disposed in the block 3, characterised in that it comprises the following steps:- Guiding one end (14b) of an auxiliary hoist cable(14) that is, or may be, connected at its other end (14a) to the end of the hoist cable (12), on the block cable sheaf (17),- Guiding the one end (14b) of the auxiliary hoist cable (14) on a second jib cable sheaf (13b) on the jib,- Connecting the one end (14b) of the auxiliary hoist cable (14) with the block (3),- Lowering the block (3), where the weight of the block (3) causes the end (12a) of the hoist cable connected with the auxiliary hoist cable (14) to be pulled round the block cable sheaf (17) and to move towards the jib as the block (3) is lowered further,- Connecting the end of the hoist cable (12) with the jib.
- Method in accordance with Claim 1, characterised in that the block (3) has a block diverter hook (7) which in single stranded operation is detachably suspended from a shaft (8) that is connected with the end of the hoist cable (12).
- Method in accordance with one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the auxiliary cable (14) is, or may be connected with its other end (14a) to the end of the hoist cable (12) by means of an auxiliary butt strap (10).
- Method in accordance with Claim 3, characterised in that the auxiliary butt strap (10) is connected with the shaft (8).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 2 to 4, characterised in that in single-stranded operation the connection of the block diverter hook (7) with the shaft (8) is secured by means of a shaft lock (9).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 2 to 5, characterised in that a compartment lock (11) is disposed between the end of the hoist cable (12) and the shaft (8).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the shaft (8) is disposed substantially in parallel with the axis of rotation of the block cable sheaf (17).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 2 to 7, characterised in that the one end (14b) of the auxiliary cable (14) is connected to the block on the side of the block (3) on which the opening of the block diverter hook (7) faces away during single-stranded operation.
- Method in accordance with one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the end of the hoist cable (12) is connected with the jib through an anti-twist device (27).
- Method in accordance with one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that, after connection of the end of the hoist cable with the jib, the auxiliary hoist cable (14) is detached from the block (3).
- Method for changeover of the hoist cable (12) of a crane from double stranded to triple stranded operation, where the load to be transported may be suspended from a block (3) which is held by the hoist cable (12) that is guided on at least one cable sheaf of the jib, where in double-stranded operation the hoist cable is taken over a first cable sheaf (13a) of the jib and the end of the hoist cable (12) is connected to the jib, characterised in that it comprises the following steps:- Hoisting of the block (3),- Connecting one end (24a) of a chain (24) which is connected with its other end (24b) to the end of the hoist cable (12), with the block cable sheaf (7),- Lowering the block (2) which causes the chain (24) to be tensioned, when the weight of the block also causes the end of the hoist cable (12) that is connected to the chain (24) to be pulled over a second cable sheaf (13b) of the jib.
- Method in accordance with Claim 11, characterised in that in double stranded operation the connection between the end of the hoist cable (12) and the jib is established by holding a shaft (22) disposed substantially in parallel with the axis of rotation (18) of the second cable sheaf (13b) of the jib by means of a jib diverter hook (21) positioned on the jib.
- Method in accordance with Claim 12, characterised in that the jib diverter hook (21) is part of a round angle (19) which is disposed so that it is able to rotate about the axis of rotation (18) of the second cable sheaf (13b) of the jib.
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 12 to 13, characterised in that in double-stranded operation the connection of the block diverter hook (21) with shaft (22) is maintained by means of a shaft lock (23).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 12 to 14, characterised in that the end of the hoist cable (12) is connected with the shaft (22) by means of an auxiliary butt strap (26).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 12 to 15, characterised in that the end of the hoist cable (12) is connected to the shaft (22) by means of an anti-twist device.
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 12 to 16, characterised in that the other end of the chain (24b) is connected with the shaft (22).
- Method in accordance with one of Claims 1 to 17, characterised in that at the time at which the one end (24a) of the chain (24) is connected to the block (3) the chain is guided by the round angle (19) above the second jib cable sheaf (13b).
- Method in accordance with Claim 18, characterised in that from the time at which the chain (24) is tensioned, the round angle (19) continues to rotate about the shaft (18) until the hoist cable (12) can be engaged by the second cable sheaf (13b) of the jib.
- Method in accordance with Claim 19, characterised in that the round angle (19) rotates together with the chain around the shaft (18) until a first guide roller (33a) disposed on the round angle (19) abuts the hoist cable and that the shaft (22) subsequently slides out of the opening of the jib diverter hook (21).
- Method in accordance with Claim 19, characterised in that the first guide roller (33a) disposed on the round angle (19) is removed enabling the round angle (19) to continue to rotate so that elements located between the shaft (22) and the end of the hoist cable (12) are not obstructed by the round angle (19).
- Method for changeover of the hoist cable (12) of a crane from single stranded to triple stranded operation, where the load to be transported may be suspended from a block (3) which is held by the hoist cable (12) that is guided on at least one cable sheaf of the jib, characterised in that in a first step the method in accordance with Claims 1 to 9 and in the second step a method in accordance with Claims 11 to 21 is used.
- Device for use with one of the methods in accordance with Claims 1 to 22.
