Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a switch, in particular for a roof control unit of a vehicle, with a switch plunger, which is displaceably guided on at least three sides in each case via a linear guide in a housing opening of the switch housing, wherein the linear guides each guided by a guide groove of the one part and a guided therein , spring-formed guide projection of the other part are formed and wherein the two mutually opposite groove flanks of the guide groove are curved towards the groove bottom inwardly or V-shaped converge.
  • Such a switch is for example by JP 2005 259587 A known.
  • the linear guides are each formed by a guide groove of the switch housing and guided therein a guide projection of the switch plunger, wherein the groove cross section and the rectangular cross section of the guide projection are complementary to each other.
  • the management coordination of the two components is very complex, on the one hand to minimize the guide game as possible and on the other hand to avoid jamming of the switch plunger inside the guide safely.
  • the switch plunger is slidably guided on all four sides in each case via a linear guide in a housing opening of the switch housing by the switch plunger is guided with projections made of synthetic resin in corresponding guide grooves of the switch housing.
  • the spring-trained guide projection also leads to a self-adjustment of the switch plunger in the tappet guides and has the significant advantage that the guide clearance between the switch plunger and the switch housing can be selected from the outset narrower or greater tolerances than previously allowed. Because before the switch plunger stuck in the plunger guide, the guide projection springs back accordingly.
  • the guide projection may, for example, be resilient in the direction of its depth and / or in the transverse direction.
  • the guide projection is hollow inside and thus slightly springy inwards.
  • the guide projection between its two edges open towards the groove bottom recess, which can extend over the entire depth of the guide projection.
  • the edges of the guide projection are rounded, in the case of curved groove flanks with a smaller radius, so that only one line contact occurs between the groove edges and the edges.
  • the in FIGS. 1 and 2 shown switch (push button) 1 is arranged for example in a roof control unit on the headliner of a vehicle and is used to turn on and off an interior lighting, such as a reading light.
  • the switch 1 comprises as a handle a rectangular in cross section switch plunger 2 , which is guided on three sides in each case via a linear guide (plunger guide) 3 in a housing opening 4 of the switch housing 5 against the action of a restoring force displaceable in the direction of the double arrow 6 and with an electrical switch contact (not shown) cooperates.
  • the restoring force can be formed, for example, by a compression spring (not shown), which acts between the switch plunger 2 and the switch housing 5.
  • the switch plunger 2 and the switch housing 5 are preferably plastic parts, wherein one of the two parts of polyoxymethylene (POM), (POM-PTFE), (PC-PTFE) and the other part of a PC-ABS plastic (polycarbonate ABS blend ), as well as all other material combinations, can be.
  • POM polyoxymethylene
  • PC-PTFE polycarbonate ABS blend
  • the linear guides 3 are each formed by a guide groove 7 of the switch housing 5 and guided therein a guide projection 8 of the switch plunger 2.
  • the two mutually opposite lateral groove flanks 9 of the guide groove 7 are curved inwardly towards the groove base 10 and, as in the exemplary embodiment shown, may be quarter-circle-shaped so as to form an overall semicircular guide groove 7.
  • the outwardly projecting guide projection 8 of the switch plunger 2 has a rectangular cross section and is therefore only with its two edges 11 at the two curved groove flanks 9.
  • the edges 11 1 are rounded with a radius smaller than the radius of the groove flanks 9, so that between the groove flanks 9 and the edges 11 only one line contact occurs.
  • the switching plunger 2 is self-centering or self-aligned over its entire guide length in the switch housing 5 and therefore exactly parallel to the guide grooves 7, ie in the direction of displacement 6, aligned.
  • This self-centering guide of the switch plunger 2 prevents the tilting and thus the jamming of the switch plunger 2, so a "key clamp" in the linear guides.
  • the switching plunger 2 on its fourth side on a guide projection 8, which is not performed in the switch housing 5, since otherwise the leadership of the switching plunger 2 would be overdetermined.
  • This fourth guide projection 8 therefore engages with all-round play in a receiving groove 12 of the switch housing 5, without being guided therein. Due to its four guide projections 8, the same switching plunger 2 can be used universally in different housing openings 4, in which the receiving groove 12 is provided on different sides of the housing opening 4.
  • the guide projections 8 In contrast to the ram guide the Fig. 3 in which the guide projections 8 are solid, are in the in Fig. 4 shown plunger guide 3, the guide projections 8 formed inside with a cavity 13 and thereby resiliently inwardly slightly. These resilient guide projections 8 support the self-adjustment of the switch plunger 2 in the plunger guides 3.
  • the guide clearance between the switch plunger 2 and the switch housing 5 can be selected from the outset narrower, or it can be tolerated larger tolerances. Because before the switch plunger 2 jams in the plunger guides 3, the guide projection 8 springs back accordingly.
  • Fig. 5 shows a further tappet guide 3, wherein the guide projection 8 between its two edges 11 has a groove bottom 10 toward open recess (parting line) 14 which extends over the entire depth of the guide projection 8.
  • the guide projection 8 located on both sides of the recess 8 two side walls 15 of the guide projection 8 at their free ends and thus also the there provided edges 11 in the transverse direction 16 resiliently formed, whereby the smallest possible guide clearance allows and larger tolerances can be allowed.
  • the two side walls 15 feather with their edges 11 in the transverse direction 16 back accordingly.
  • Fig. 6 shows a still further plunger guide 3, in which the mutually facing groove flanks 9 to the groove bottom 10 towards V-shaped converge.
  • the guide projection 8 is guided self-centering or self-adjusting, whereby the tilting and thus the jamming of the switching plunger 2 in the linear guides 3 are prevented.
  • the switch shown differs in Fig. 7 shown switch 1 only in that here exactly the other way around the three linear guides 3 are each formed by a guide groove 7 of the switch plunger 2 and guided therein a guide projection 8 of the switch housing 5.
  • the switch plunger 2 also has on its fourth side a guide groove 7, while the switch housing 5 has no guide projection on this side.
  • the restoring force of the switch plunger 2 may also be formed by two bow springs 17 , which are taken captively on two opposite sides between the switch plunger 2 and the switch housing 5.
  • the bow springs 17 are supported with their two strap ends 18 on the outside of the switch housing 5 and embrace with their central bracket portion 19, the guide projection 8 from below.
  • the middle bracket portion 18 is deflected by the guide projection 8 of the switch plunger 2 relative to the two strap ends 18, whereby the switch plunger 2 is stretched back to its original position.
  • the two bow springs 17 may also be interconnected, so be formed integrally by a single bow spring, whereby the handling during installation is improved and simplified.
