Description

The invention relates to a cream jar with an outer housing, which housing is provided with a housing bottom and a housing wall whose inner wall surface surrounds a receiving chamber on which inner wall surface the outer wall surface of a cup-shaped insert on or nearly rests, and the outer wall surface forms an exposed visible outside surface wherein the housing wall is formed by two webs spaced apart by an air gap, wherein an outer web forms the outer wall surface and an inner web forms the inner wall surface.

From the JP 10-129724 a cream jar is known which has an outer casing and an inner casing. The outer housing has a thread in the upper area, onto which a cover can be screwed. From this threaded section protrudes an inner and an outer housing web. The inner housing is rotatably connected to the outer housing and closed by the lid.

The US 3,847,494 describes a cream jar with a two-walled outer casing and a single-walled inner casing, wherein protrudes from the bottom of the inner casing, a web having an internal toothing, which engages in an external toothing of the inner ring land of the outer casing.

The US 6,006,937 describes a two-walled housing and a threaded flange which is inserted into the wall space of the housing and having an external thread on which a lid is screwed.

The DE 202005003825 U1 describes a cream jar with a housing having a pot-like cavity in which a cup-shaped insert inserted. The insert can be filled with a pasty mass, namely a cream. The outer wall surface of the insert abuts against the inner wall surface of the housing wall. The housing wall is thick-walled. Due to the large material thickness of the housing wall, the manufacturing process takes place on an injection molding machine with very long cycle times.

The invention has for its object to provide measures by which the well-known cream jam is on the one hand to produce cheaper and on the other hand is to make visually appealing.

The object is achieved by the invention specified in the claims.

Claim 1 initially and essentially provides that the housing wall is formed by two webs spaced apart from one another by an air gap, wherein an outer web forms the outer wall surface and an inner web forms the inner wall surface. The two webs form a thick wall provided with an air gap, with each individual web being designed to be thin-walled, so that the production process has considerably reduced cycle times.

Beide Außenwandungsflächen grenzen an Luft. For a cream jar, like the one from the DE 20 2005 003 825 U1 is described, the visual appearance is strongly influenced by the optical property of the housing. If the housing wall is translucent, ie, like a frosted glass or transparent, ie transparent, then the cup-shaped insert can be recognized by the outer housing wall or can be recognized in its corporeality. The outer wall surface then forms a visible surface on the insert. If, in such a cream jar, the housing wall is formed by two webs which are spaced apart from one another by an air gap and which are translucent or preferably transparent, the result is a different optical appearance. Especially with a clear design of the two webs completely different reflection surfaces. The main reflection surfaces are the two outer wall surfaces of the two webs. Both outer wall surfaces are bounded by air. The outer wall surface of the outer web is adjacent to the ambient air. The outer wall surface of the inner web is adjacent to the air of the air gap. These two, preferably equally spaced apart Außenwandungsflächen determine the visual appearance of the cream jar. It is of particular advantage if the outer wall surface of the cup-shaped insert rests against the inner wall surface of the inner web so that a minimal air gap remains between the outer wall surface of the insert and the inner wall surface of the inner web. Then, the housing wall provided with an air gap acts optically similar to a thick-walled housing wall, which in contrast to the housing wall according to the invention, however, is considerably more complicated to manufacture. The two webs form nested, for example circumferentially equally spaced, in particular a round, oval or polygonal cross-section having tubular body. These webs are preferably materially connected to the housing bottom. The housing bottom and the housing wall formed by the two webs can thus be assigned to a single molded part which can be produced in the plastic injection molding process. The visual appearance also becomes more attractive as the sidewalls of the air gap transition to the bottom of the air gap to form a curve. As a result, sharp reflection edges are avoided in the bottom area. The attachment of the insert with the housing can be made via the inner web. A to free end edge of the inner web tapering end portion can engage in an annular groove of the insert. The end portion may have teeth which engage in corresponding tooth gaps of the annular groove. The housing part has an upwardly open air gap. This proves to be suitable as a demoulding technology. In particular, it is favorable if the distance between the two gap walls increases slightly in the direction of the opening of the gap. The mold used for injection molding may have a cooled pipe section forming the air gap. This opening ring clearance of the air gap may be closed by a collar. This collar can be molded to the insert. The collar may have an outer edge which bears against the inside of the outer web. Alternatively, the collar can also be connected via a clip connection with the free end edge of the outer web. Beyond the cup-shaped receiving body of the insert a neck is formed on the collar, which carries an external thread on which an internal thread of a housing cover is screwed. Instead of the above-mentioned clip connection, the insert may also be connected to the housing bottom. This can be done via a fixing rib, which engages in a fastening groove. The cream jar of the invention may have inner and outer webs, which have a material thickness in the range between 1.5 mm and 4 mm. Preferably, the material thicknesses of the webs are in the range between 2 mm and 3 mm. The width of the air gap is about 3 mm to 6 mm. In this way, a cream jar with an insert having a receiving volume of, for example, 50 ml, a relatively large and especially large diameter shape are given, which on the one hand, the stability and on the other hand, but also easier to handle. Preferably, the total height of the cream jar, so the height of the housing with screwed lid, less than the diameter of the cream jar. The housing preferably has the shape of a cylinder, wherein the base of a Circle is preferred. The lid of the cream jar can consist of two bowls. The inner shell has the internal thread, with which the cover is screwed onto the neck of the insert. An outer shell may be opaque, translucent or transparent. Preferably, a cylindrical side wall of the lid is flush over into the outer wall surface of the housing. The surface of the lid preferably runs parallel to the base of the housing.

The housing 1 shown in the embodiments consists of a one-piece, manufactured by injection molding plastic part, wherein preferably a colorless, clear plastic is used. The visible surfaces of the housing base 1 may be polished.

The housing base 1, which has a substantially cylindrical shape, has a flat housing bottom 2, from which an outer web 3 protrudes in the edge region. The outer, cylindrical tube-shaped web 3 surrounds an inner web 4 arranged coaxially with the outer web 3. The inner web 4 likewise rises from the bottom 2 and is substantially equidistant from the outer web 4, so that there is an engagement between the two webs 3, 4 above open air gap 5 results.

The outer wall surface 4 "of the inner web 4 facing the air gap 5 merges into an air-gap bottom 5 'to form a rounding 26. The air-gap bottom 5' merges into an inner wall surface of the outer web 3, likewise forming a rounded transition 27. The inner wall surface of the outer web 3 Web 4 and the outer wall surface 4 "of the inner web 4 are substantially equally spaced from each other, for reasons of better demolding the two wall surfaces in the direction of the air gap bottom 5 'slightly converge, so that the gap 5 in the region of the split bottom 5' a has smaller gap width than in the region of the gap opening, namely at the end edge 14 of the outer web third The inner wall surface 4 'of the inner web 4 defines a cup-shaped space in which an insert 6 is inserted. The insert 6 is made as a plastic part, made of a material which is opaque. The outer wall surface 6 'of the insert 6 abuts the inner wall surface 4' of the inner web 4 in the exemplary embodiments in a contacting or almost touching contact with each other. The inner wall surface 6 "of the insert 6 surrounds a receiving chamber 10 which can be filled with a cream The insert 6 has a bottom 7 and an opening opposite the bottom, which can be closed by a cover 18.

The inner web 4 has at its free end edge a tapered end portion 11. This forms a toothing. The thus formed teeth of the end portion 11 engage in an annular groove 12 of the insert 6, which has the teeth of the end portion 11 adapted tooth gaps 25.

The annular groove 12 extends into a thicker material neck 16, which has on its outer wall an external thread 17 to which an internal thread 19 of the lid 18 is screwed.

In the transition region between the neck 16 and the receiving chamber 10, a collar 13 of the insert 6 extends radially outward. The collar 13 closes the air gap 5 upwards.

The housing cover 18 is double-shelled. An inner shell 20 forms the internal thread 19 and a collar 22, with which the inner shell 20 is attached to the edge of the outer shell 21. The outer shell 21 may be made of an opaque, translucent or even made of a clear material. The top of the outer shell 21 extends on a Circular disk surface, which essentially corresponds to the base surface of the housing lower part 1 and which is formed by the underside of the housing bottom 2.

The outer wall surface 3 'of the outer web 3 merges substantially flush into the side surface of the housing cover 18.

In the in the FIGS. 1 to 4 illustrated first embodiment, the bottom 7 of the insert 6 has a foot rib 24, with which the insert 6 can be supported on the inside of the housing bottom 2. The foot rib 24 extends in flush extension to the side wall of the insert 6 'and thus forms an outer wall surface which is flush with the outer wall surface 6' of the insert 6.

From the bottom 7 extends beyond a fixing rib 8, which is clipped into a formed by two webs mounting groove 9 of the bottom 2. The fixing rib 8 extends on a circular arc line about the axis of symmetry of the housing.

The radially outwardly facing edge side of the collar 13 of the insert 6 is in touching contact with the inner wall surface of the outer web 4 and merges flush into the end edge 14 of the outer web 3.

In the in the FIGS. 5 to 8 illustrated second embodiment, the bottom 7 of the insert 6 on the inner wall of the housing bottom 2. Here, the collar 13 of the insert 6 overhangs the end edge 14 of the outer web 3 and is connected to the outer web 3 via a clip connection 15. For this purpose, a Clipswulst engages in a clip groove.

The embodiments have a lower housing part 1, which is clear-sighted and an insert 6, which is opaque. The outer wall surfaces 4 "and 3 'are polished as well as the inner wall surface of the outer web 3. As a result, these surfaces form reflection surfaces for the light incident into the transparent housing part The convexly curved outer wall surfaces 4 ", 3 'are to a considerable extent visible. In addition, if the inner wall surface 4 'of the inner web is only almost touching on the outer wall surface 6' of the insert 6, the only reflective surfaces that can be discerned from the outside are the two outer wall surfaces 3 ', 4 ", so that an optical illusion is achieved by the viewer. The observer gets the impression that it is a massive, transparent housing wall that reaches almost to the insert 6.
