The water container (10) is adapted to an embossing in a bottom part (22) of the oven cavity (20), so that a lower portion of the water container (10) is at least in sections complementary with said embossing (22). Further, the present invention relates to a cooking oven with an oven cavity (20) and a water container (10) for said oven cavity (20), wherein a bottom part (22) of the oven cavity (20) includes an embossing (22). Said embossing (22) is at least in sections complementary with a lower portion of the water container (10).

Description

  • The present invention relates to a water container for an oven cavity of a cooking oven according to the preamble of claim 1. Further, the present invention relates to a cooking oven with an oven cavity for receiving a water container according to the preamble of claim 11.
  • Some kinds of cooking proceedings require a minimum humidity in the oven cavity. For example, the baking of bread needs humidity in the oven cavity. For this purpose, a cup of water is placed on the bottom of the oven cavity or on the baking sheet. However, the stand of said cup is very unsafe.
  • US 6 861 631 B2 discloses a microwave oven, which oven cavity is horizontally subdivided by a steaming plate. Said steaming plate is permeable to steam. In a steamer mode a water container filled by water is placed on the food carrier for the microwave mode. Said food carrier is arranged in the bottom of the oven cavity.
  • DE 10 2007 058 941 A1 discloses a cooking oven with a water evaporator. The water evaporator is arranged in an upper portion of the oven cavity and near the illumination for the oven cavity.
  • DE 197 06 277 B4 discloses a cooking oven with a stationary water container in the bottom of the oven cavity.
  • DE 10 2006 050 368 A1 discloses a steam cooker with a stationary water container in the bottom of the oven cavity, wherein a portion of said water container is covered.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved water container for an oven cavity of a cooking oven. The object of the present invention is achieved by the water container according to claim 1.
  • According to the present invention the water container is adapted to an embossing in a bottom part of the oven cavity, so that a lower portion of the water container is at least in sections complementary with said embossing.
  • The core of the present invention is the flat structure of the water container on the one hand and the lower portion of the water container, which is at least in sections complementary with the embossing, on the other hand. Since the water container is made of metal, it is heat-resistant.
  • According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention the water container is formed as a single-piece part. The water container can be produced by embossing a metal sheet.
  • Preferably, the water container comprises an outwardly inclined side wall and a border area enclosing said side wall.
  • Further, the water container comprises at least one handle bar. In particular, the water container comprises at least two handle bars arranged at opposite sides of the water container. Preferably, the at least one handle bar is embossed in the border area of the water container.
  • According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention the water container is made of stainless steel, aluminium or aluminium pressure die casting.
  • Additionally, the water container may comprise a surface coating.
  • For example, the surface coating is enamel, polytetra-fluorethylene (PTFE) or an anodising coating.
  • Further, the water container is provided as a dish for using in the heated oven cavity.
  • The object of the present invention is further achieved by the cooking oven according to claim 11.
  • According to the present invention a bottom part of the oven cavity includes an embossing, wherein the embossing is at least in sections complementary with a lower portion of the water container.
  • Since the embossing is adapted to the lower portion of the water container, said water container can be stably arranged within the oven cavity.
  • Novel and inventive features of the present invention are set forth in the appended claims.
  • The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanied drawings, in which
  • FIG 1
illustrates a perspective view of the water container for an oven cavity of a cooking oven according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and
    FIG 2
illustrates a perspective view of a lower part of the oven cavity of the cooking oven with the water container according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG 1 illustrates a perspective view of the water container 10 for an oven cavity 20 of a cooking oven according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • The water container 10 is formed as a dish. The water container 10 includes a ground plate 18, a side wall 12, a border area 14 and two handle bars 16. In this embodiment, the water container 10 is a single-piece part. The ground plate 18 is formed as a circular disk. In this example, the ground plate 18 extends within one plane. The side wall 12 encloses the ground plate 18. A lower edge of the side wall 12 joins an outer edge of the ground plate 18. The side wall 12 is inclined outwards. The border area 14 encloses the side wall 12. An inner edge of the border area 14 joins the outer and upper edge of the side wall 12. The border area 14 extends substantially in a horizontal plane.
  • The two handle bars 16 are upwards embossings in the border area 14. The handle bars 16 are arranged at opposite sides of the water container 10. The handle bars 16 allow to hold and to move the water container 10 in safe way, when the water container 10 is filled with water.
  • The water container 10 is made of metal, for example stainless steel, aluminium or aluminium pressure die casting. Further, the water container 10 may comprise a surface coating. That surface coating can be enamel, polytetrafluo-rethylene (PTFE) or an anodising coating. With the surface coating the water container 10 can additionally used a dish in the heated oven cavity.
  • FIG 2 illustrates a perspective view of a lower part of the oven cavity 20 of the cooking oven with the water container 10 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • The water container 10 is placed on a bottom part 22 of the oven cavity 20. The bottom part 22 of the oven cavity 20 comprises an embossing adapted to the lower side of the water container 10. In FIG 2 said embossing is covered by the water container 10 and therefore not visible. The embossing is complementary with a lower portion of the water container 10, so that the water container 10 cannot be displaced on the bottom part 22.
  • The water container 10 is provided to receive water for evaporating during the cooking process. It is not necessary to use any other container, e.g. a cup, which can tilt over in the oven cavity.
  • The water container 10 according to the present invention is stable and heat-resistant. It is very easy to refill water into the water container 10, when the water container 10 is arranged within the oven cavity 20. The inventive water container 10 is very flat and needs only a small space in the oven cavity.
  • Although an illustrative embodiment of the present invention has been described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to that precise embodiment, and that various other changes and modifications may be affected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the scope or spirit of the invention. All such changes and modifications are intended to be included within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
