Definitions
- the invention relates to a weapon housing.
- the invention also relates to a weapon with a weapon housing and a method for assembling a weapon housing.
- Known weapon housings are often composed of stamped metal parts; for example, the machine guns MG42 / MG3, M60, NF1 / AA52, FN MINIMI, PKS Kalashnikov, HK MG4 and others.
- the FN MINIMI machine gun requires large-area welds, in which case a deformation of the mold may occur.
- US 5,440,099 A and 5,580,474 A such as WO 97/03785 A1 reveal complex welding processes to keep the distortion during welding low.
- the MG34, the light Bren MG and the light Browning BAR MG include integral weapon housings. With these weapons from the 20s and 30s of the last century, the housings partly take over shutter-supporting and leading functions and had to be manufactured exactly to ensure a secure locking function.
- the WO 2008/147491 A2 a machine gun with a housing that consists of two vertically split housing halves.
- the housing halves are each a receptacle for a throttle linkage and for a pipe and a closure guide and various reinforcing structures, such as ribs provided.
- the housing halves are welded together.
- DE 10 2007 011 504 A1 shows a two-part closure housing and a centering device for the closure block.
- the closure housing is inserted from the back of the weapon in the weapon housing, centered on guide grooves, and releasably secured by locking means.
- FIG. 1 shows the EP 1 357 348 B1 a weapon housing with two polymeric housing halves.
- the two half-shells are coupled together using connecting elements such as groove, tongue and / or connecting edges, wherein for reinforcement and / or connection, a polymer strand is inserted into a recess.
- the half shells can be additionally welded together.
- a rifle housing with a base support to which two side panels are releasably secured via a push-button or snap-in connection.
- the side plates or attachments may be formed of plastic. Alternatively, these side plates can also be riveted to the base support.
- the object of the present invention is to provide an improved weapon housing and an improved method for producing a weapon housing, which is less expensive and less expensive to manufacture and / or when assembling.
- the method comprises the steps of: providing at least two housing shells and at least one connection block, wherein at least two connection pins are formed on the connection block and at least one positioning recess is formed in each housing shell; Placing and aligning the housing shells in a mounting plane on the terminal block via the at least one positioning recess on the at least one connecting pin, and connecting the housing shells.
- the weapon housing according to the invention may consist of several housing shells or housing elements. However, it is preferably composed of two housing halves or shells split perpendicular to one another.
- the connection pins and the positioning recesses may also have any corresponding geometries, for example, round or angular.
- the connecting pins When assembling the housing shells can be placed on the terminal block, wherein the connecting pins preferably engage positively with the positioning recesses. When placing the housing shells then overlap the positioning recesses or the corresponding (n) and protruding (n) connecting pin and the inner sides of the housing shells attach to coupling edges of the terminal block.
- the housing shells are aligned with each other and the terminal block and held on the form fit in a mounting plane on the terminal block.
- the terminal block thus advantageously forms a holding and positioning base for the housing shells. So are easy to center the housing shells to each other and to the barrel axis or axis of a weapon and align.
- the housing shells may be manufactured via an injection molding or die casting process, wherein injection molding or precision casting or die casting materials, for example cast steel or light metals or light alloys, such as aluminum or magnesium, may be used.
- injection molding or precision casting or die casting materials for example cast steel or light metals or light alloys, such as aluminum or magnesium
- polymer materials and / or reworked housing shells for example made of steel or for example stamped metal parts can be used.
- combinations of different materials in the housing shells are possible. Since the demands on the service life of modern machine guns are very high - up to more than 50,000 rounds - often correspondingly resilient materials, such as steel or steel alloys are used.
- connection pins can be arranged on the sides of the connection block, for example, at the front, at the top or at the bottom.
- connection pins are each preferably arranged and designed in or on the coupling flanks of the connection block that define the mounting planes. (Claim 2).
- connection pins can be subsequently inserted into the terminal block or attached thereto.
- they are integrally formed on the terminal block, for example, milled or otherwise suitable.
- the Coupling flanks of the terminal block thereby advantageously define the mounting planes of the housing shells, wherein the housing shells bear against the coupling edges during placement.
- the terminal block may also comprise three connecting pins and the housing shells each having three positioning recesses on its coupling flanks.
- (Claim 3) Three connecting pins and three Position istsausEnglishept, which are positioned center of gravity, have proven to be particularly advantageous because a housing shell can be aligned when placed in the manner of a three-point support on the terminal block and a high stability is ensured. Due to the center of gravity arrangement, torsional forces on the connecting pins are avoided (the main forces which occur run through the center of gravity of the triangle spanned by the connecting pins).
- the at least one positioning recess can be formed, for example, as a depression or depression in the respective housing shell. Also, in the weapon housing according to the invention, the at least one positioning recess in each case enforce the housing shells. (Claim 4) If the at least one positioning recess passes through the housing shell, the placement on the connecting pins is advantageously simplified since slipping is prevented. Also can be enforcing Position istsausEnglishept with simple means either as a recess in the manufacture of the housing shells or subsequently as a recess, for example as a cutout or hole, bring.
- connection block and the housing shells can be connected, in particular welded, to the at least one positioning recess with the at least one connecting pin (claim 5).
- the at least one or more patch (s) Position istsauslangungen connect the housing shell, for example, positively or non-positively via their coupling with the connection pin.
- connection pins may be welded or otherwise suitably connected to the positioning recesses, for example adhesively bonded or soldered. With a corresponding dimensioning of the connection pin and housing shell thickness forces acting in or against the weft direction are then advantageously not absorbed by the welds, but by the surfaces of the connection pins and the positioning recesses, so that the welds are not overstressed.
- At least two connecting pins and at least two positioning recesses may be arranged in a cross-sectional plane relative to each other in the weapon housing according to the invention. (Claim 6) This can be advantageous to simplify alignment of the housing shell to the terminal block in a specific mounting position, as several mounting points are defined.
- connection between at least one positioning recess and at least one connecting pin for longitudinal alignment and / or locking of the housing shells can be designed on the connection block.
- connection block 7 Preferably, for example, one or two rear positioning recesses and one or two rear connecting pins are designed rectangular. As a result, high forces acting in the weft direction can also be absorbed.
- the connecting pin and the positioning recesses of the positive connection can be formed on the longitudinal surfaces or the transverse surfaces or on all side surfaces of the connecting pin and the positioning recesses. If the positive locking is formed only on the transverse or longitudinal surfaces, a sufficient clearance is ensured at the respectively free transverse or longitudinal surfaces, which can facilitate the positioning of the positioning recesses on the connecting pins.
- the form fit is formed on the transverse surfaces perpendicular to the weft direction, since here the largest forces acting in the weft direction and can be recorded.
- connection block 8 at least one connection between at least one positioning recess and at least one connection pin for height alignment and / or locking of the housing shells on the connection block.
- a connection between at least one positioning recess and at least one connection pin for height alignment and / or locking of the housing shells on the connection block can be used (Claim 8).
- a rear, an upper or a lower connection can be provided.
- a front positioning recess and a front connecting pin are made flattened and their connection provided for height alignment.
- the housing shells can be at least partially connected to one another in the weft direction at connection edges, in particular welded.
- the housing shells may be connected to one another at their mutually facing upper and lower edges.
- the housing shells are preferably at least partially welded together by any desired welding methods, for example laser-welded.
- the housing shells are at least partially welded together only at their top and bottom joint edges, in particular at the rear end of the weapon housing.
- load-bearing welded joints of the welded or connected housing half-shells advantageously run in the weft direction or force direction and not transversely to the direction of force, in order to reduce overstress and to avoid distortion.
- the dimensional accuracy of the housing halves with respect to the width and the height dimension can be obtained even after a connection of the housing shells. This is of importance insofar as at the top of the housing halves, on the one hand, the cartridge feeder cover and on the other hand, a sight or other accessories are applied, which is why a backlash is required. According to the invention, a backlash-free and accurately fitting seating of the cartridge feed cover is achieved. Thus, a repeatable, reproducible and production engineering favorable weapons housing can be provided.
- tilting forces can also be transmitted between the at least one positioning recess and the at least one connecting pin connected thereto, which act on the tube receptacle and / or the connection block during a closing movement. (Claim 10)
- guideways may be provided for a closure arrangement movably guided between fixed housing shells.
- the guideways can be cut out during manufacture of the housing shells or incorporated later, for example in a machined post.

Overall, the often thin-walled metal stamping parts are difficult to align and require complex welding and stabilization. This negatively affects the economy, dimensional tolerance and dimensional stability. Also, the components often bring with it large manufacturing tolerances.
It is also known to form weapons housing and their components as milled parts. For example, the MG34, the light Bren MG and the light Browning BAR MG include integral weapon housings. With these weapons from the 20s and 30s of the last century, the housings partly take over shutter-supporting and leading functions and had to be manufactured exactly to ensure a secure locking function.
Weapon cases made of riveted prefabricated housing components are also known, for example in the FN MAG from the 50s of the last century and in the Browning .50 MG from the year 1917. Partially riveted on modern machine guns and attachments to a weapon housing, for example, the guide rail for the loading lever on the MG 4. Although the otherwise required welding and housing alignment is avoided when riveting of attachments; However, riveted joints are expensive and difficult to tolerate.

Overall, well-known weapon casings are expensive and expensive to produce and / or to assemble. Also occur often manufacturing tolerances, so that no sufficient precision is guaranteed, which in turn the Functionality of ancillary equipment, such as visors may affect.
Against this background, the object of the present invention is to provide an improved weapon housing and an improved method for producing a weapon housing, which is less expensive and less expensive to manufacture and / or when assembling.
This object is solved by the
According to claim 19, the method comprises the steps of: providing at least two housing shells and at least one connection block, wherein at least two connection pins are formed on the connection block and at least one positioning recess is formed in each housing shell; Placing and aligning the housing shells in a mounting plane on the terminal block via the at least one positioning recess on the at least one connecting pin, and connecting the housing shells.
The weapon housing according to the invention may consist of several housing shells or housing elements. However, it is preferably composed of two housing halves or shells split perpendicular to one another. The connection pins and the positioning recesses may also have any corresponding geometries, for example, round or angular.
When assembling the housing shells can be placed on the terminal block, wherein the connecting pins preferably engage positively with the positioning recesses. When placing the housing shells then overlap the positioning recesses or the corresponding (n) and protruding (n) connecting pin and the inner sides of the housing shells attach to coupling edges of the terminal block. The housing shells are aligned with each other and the terminal block and held on the form fit in a mounting plane on the terminal block. The terminal block thus advantageously forms a holding and positioning base for the housing shells. So are easy to center the housing shells to each other and to the barrel axis or axis of a weapon and align.
Also, different suitable materials for the housing shells can be used. For example, the housing shells may be manufactured via an injection molding or die casting process, wherein injection molding or precision casting or die casting materials, for example cast steel or light metals or light alloys, such as aluminum or magnesium, may be used. Furthermore, for example, polymer materials and / or reworked housing shells, for example made of steel or for example stamped metal parts can be used. Also combinations of different materials in the housing shells are possible. Since the demands on the service life of modern machine guns are very high - up to more than 50,000 rounds - often correspondingly resilient materials, such as steel or steel alloys are used.
(Anspruch 2).In principle, one or more connection pins can be arranged on the sides of the connection block, for example, at the front, at the top or at the bottom. In the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, the connection pins are each preferably arranged and designed in or on the coupling flanks of the connection block that define the mounting planes. (Claim 2).
The one or more connection pins can be subsequently inserted into the terminal block or attached thereto. Preferably, they are integrally formed on the terminal block, for example, milled or otherwise suitable. The Coupling flanks of the terminal block thereby advantageously define the mounting planes of the housing shells, wherein the housing shells bear against the coupling edges during placement.
In the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, the terminal block may also comprise three connecting pins and the housing shells each having three positioning recesses on its coupling flanks. (Claim 3) Three connecting pins and three Positionierungsausnehmungen, which are positioned center of gravity, have proven to be particularly advantageous because a housing shell can be aligned when placed in the manner of a three-point support on the terminal block and a high stability is ensured. Due to the center of gravity arrangement, torsional forces on the connecting pins are avoided (the main forces which occur run through the center of gravity of the triangle spanned by the connecting pins).
The at least one positioning recess can be formed, for example, as a depression or depression in the respective housing shell. Also, in the weapon housing according to the invention, the at least one positioning recess in each case enforce the housing shells. (Claim 4) If the at least one positioning recess passes through the housing shell, the placement on the connecting pins is advantageously simplified since slipping is prevented. Also can be enforcing Positionierungsausnehmungen with simple means either as a recess in the manufacture of the housing shells or subsequently as a recess, for example as a cutout or hole, bring.
Furthermore, in the weapon housing according to the invention, the connection block and the housing shells can be connected, in particular welded, to the at least one positioning recess with the at least one connecting pin (claim 5). In this case, the at least one or more patch (s) Positionierungsausnehmungen connect the housing shell, for example, positively or non-positively via their coupling with the connection pin.
Also or additionally, the connection pins may be welded or otherwise suitably connected to the positioning recesses, for example adhesively bonded or soldered. With a corresponding dimensioning of the connection pin and housing shell thickness forces acting in or against the weft direction are then advantageously not absorbed by the welds, but by the surfaces of the connection pins and the positioning recesses, so that the welds are not overstressed.
Also, at least two connecting pins and at least two positioning recesses may be arranged in a cross-sectional plane relative to each other in the weapon housing according to the invention. (Claim 6) This can be advantageous to simplify alignment of the housing shell to the terminal block in a specific mounting position, as several mounting points are defined.
In the weapon housing according to the invention, the connection between at least one positioning recess and at least one connecting pin for longitudinal alignment and / or locking of the housing shells can be designed on the connection block. (Claim 7) Preferably, for example, one or two rear positioning recesses and one or two rear connecting pins are designed rectangular. As a result, high forces acting in the weft direction can also be absorbed.
Also, in a polygonal configuration of the connecting pin and the positioning recesses of the positive connection can be formed on the longitudinal surfaces or the transverse surfaces or on all side surfaces of the connecting pin and the positioning recesses. If the positive locking is formed only on the transverse or longitudinal surfaces, a sufficient clearance is ensured at the respectively free transverse or longitudinal surfaces, which can facilitate the positioning of the positioning recesses on the connecting pins. Advantageously, the form fit is formed on the transverse surfaces perpendicular to the weft direction, since here the largest forces acting in the weft direction and can be recorded.
Furthermore, at least one connection between at least one positioning recess and at least one connection pin for height alignment and / or locking of the housing shells on the connection block can be used (Claim 8). For this purpose, for example, a rear, an upper or a lower connection can be provided. Preferably, in each case a front positioning recess and a front connecting pin are made flattened and their connection provided for height alignment.
Furthermore, in the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, the housing shells can be at least partially connected to one another in the weft direction at connection edges, in particular welded. (Claim 9) The housing shells may be connected to one another at their mutually facing upper and lower edges. In this case, the housing shells are preferably at least partially welded together by any desired welding methods, for example laser-welded. Particularly preferably, the housing shells are at least partially welded together only at their top and bottom joint edges, in particular at the rear end of the weapon housing. With a corresponding geometric configuration of the housing shells, the required connection or welding work during assembly of the housing shells to a housing can be kept low, so that a distortion in shape can be avoided.
In addition, the load-bearing welded joints of the welded or connected housing half-shells advantageously run in the weft direction or force direction and not transversely to the direction of force, in order to reduce overstress and to avoid distortion.
Overall, a heat input into the housing and a distortion caused thereby during welding can be kept low or almost completely avoided. In particular, in zugbelasteten housing elements as a high dimensional stability is guaranteed. Also, so can be realized from thin-walled housing half shells weapon housing.
If a substantial finishing of the outer contour or the outer design of the housing shells takes place prior to assembly, it is not necessary to weld additional parts. Thus, a weld distortion or weakening of the material can be prevented here as well. Likewise, subsequent form corrections avoided and the housing shells can be assembled within the required low tolerances and stable connected to each other.
Overall, according to the invention, the dimensional accuracy of the housing halves with respect to the width and the height dimension can be obtained even after a connection of the housing shells.
(Anspruch 10)In the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, tilting forces can also be transmitted between the at least one positioning recess and the at least one connecting pin connected thereto, which act on the tube receptacle and / or the connection block during a closing movement. (Claim 10)
Also, in the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, guideways may be provided for a closure arrangement movably guided between fixed housing shells. (Claim 11) The guideways can be cut out during manufacture of the housing shells or incorporated later, for example in a machined post. The inventive alignment of the housing shells on the connection block advantageously also ensures the alignment of the guideways, even if they are finished in the unassembled state.
Furthermore, in the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, a weapon housing structure can be stabilized by means of a stabilization element interconnecting the housing shells. (Claim 12) The stabilizing element may be formed as a bridge element and be arranged at any position between the assembled to a housing structure housing shells. Preferably, the stabilizing element on the upper side of the housing, for example, arranged centrally. Thus, the stability of the weapon housing can be increased with simple means and prevent tilting of the housing shells.
In principle, it is possible to firmly connect the stabilizing element to the housing shells, for example to be welded, glued or the like. Preferably, however, it is inserted or inserted in a recess formed or recessed in the upper sides of the housing shells, which recess is formed in a form-fitting manner, for example via T-slots.
Furthermore, in the case of the weapon housing according to the invention, the stabilizing element can be secured to each housing shell in each case via at least one securing element and / or aligned via a centering element. For this purpose, for example screws can be provided which penetrate the stabilizing element, for example, vertically and connect each with a housing shell. Also, other suitable mechanical fastening and securing elements are possible.
Also, in the weapon housing according to the invention, the stabilizing element comprise an ejection element. (Claim 14) This ejection element can be designed to engage with a closure arrangement, for example a closure carrier or a closure head. For this purpose, the ejection element may be formed as a nose, which projects down into the weapon housing.
The ejection element can protrude in the weapon housing according to the invention in a Versschlußanordnung to eject a retracted cartridge on the sleeve bottom and / or eject their return. (Claim 15) The nose can then, for example, in a slot-like axial recess, which is formed on the upper side of a closure assembly, such as the closure support or head, protrude. During the return of the closure assembly can be pushed over the nose an extended cartridge on the bottom of the sleeve from the closure head and ejected down through an ejection window from the weapon housing.
In addition, in the weapon housing according to the invention, the connection block may comprise at least one tube holder. (Claim 16) The pipe receiving is adapted to the dimensions of a barrel and / or locking piece. Thus, advantageously, a barrel or barrel with simple means for terminal block align. In addition, the housing shells can align when aligning to the terminal block to the gun barrel and at the same time to the soul axis of a weapon.
Also, in the weapon housing according to the invention, the connection block can be connectable via a gas linkage with a gas take-off on the pipe and a throttle linkage guide. (Claim 17) About the removal of gas from the pipe, a gas pressure relieving mechanism can be driven in a known manner. Thus, a space-saving and compact design is ensured.
According to claim 18, the invention also relates to a handgun with a weapon housing.
Overall, a weapon housing according to the invention with high precision and dimensional accuracy is provided with low manufacturing tolerances of the housing shells, the manufacturing process is inexpensive. Also can be achieved due to a short lead time in assembling the housing shells high efficiency. Advantageously, any design requirements for the housing shells can be realized.

Between the upper and lower along the axis of the soul 57 extending surfaces 12c, d of the connecting
The edges of the connecting pins 9a b, c, and those of the positioning recesses 11a, b, c are chamfered and each together form the V-shaped, circumferential connection joints 14a, b, c.
During a shooting process, a weapon is subjected to high mechanical stresses or forces acting on the components, which are absorbed by the connection pins 9a, 9b and 9c. The longitudinal loads are thereby mainly between the front and rear coupling portions 12a, b of the connecting

These are each front lower connecting
In the middle of the stabilizing
For entrainment of the closure (not shown), a driving
At the rear end of the

The upper and
Furthermore, the
The rotational position of the barrel is determined via two lateral guide cam 19a and 19b on the
Further, a flattened
Further, a cylindrical
At the rear end of the
When inserting the shoulder support it is then rotated about the piston axis such that the guide rails engage in the corresponding grooves in which they can be locked resiliently latching in a certain rotational position via a locking lever. One end of the guide grooves can each be closed or tapered, so that the guide rails can be inserted into the grooves only at the open end. This would ensure, for example, that the shoulder rest can only be inserted and locked in one orientation (so-called self-acting design).
