Definitions
- the present invention relates to a safety gate according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Door guards are usually clamped as a child safety device in front of doors and stairs in a frame.
- the prior art has numerous door guards that are commercially available. Such door guards usually have a grid, a clamping device and means for power transmission.
- the grids are usually a flat rectangular area. This rectangular area is limited by an upper and by a lower cross member in height. Slats run perpendicular to the crossbars, which fill the surface of the grid with a defined spacing. Frequently, to stabilize the grid in the beginning and end perpendicular to the cross beams and parallel to the slats nor longitudinal bars are incorporated, the cross-section of which has a greater moment of resistance to bending, as the cross-sections of the slats.
- these door guards are held by contact forces.
- the contact forces are generated by the clamping device and transmitted through one or more plastic buffer on the frame.
- the transmission of the contact forces from the clamping device to the plastic buffer is performed by mechanical means such as slides.
- the clamping device has on the upper cross member on a cross-section U-shaped handle which partially overlaps the upper cross member and which is pivotable about a perpendicular to the plane of the door handle pivot axis, wherein the handle is drivingly connected to a plastic buffer, the longitudinally displaceable is mounted in the upper cross member, wherein the handle has a locking slide, which is biased in a first end position, wherein the handle is secured in the first end position of the locking slide against unintentional pivoting.
- the position of the plastic buffer is also changed. Due to the position of the plastic buffer relative to the frame, the safety gate is locked or unlocked. When the handle position is secure, the safety gate is firmly clamped in the frame.
- the prior art also has door guards, which are additionally positively connected with a toggle mechanism.
- the toggle mechanism simultaneously adjusts the position of a second plastic buffer, located in the lower cross member, with the first plastic buffer.
- a door guard is for example in the patent US 2,928,146 or the JP 2003 293643A described.
- a handle lock is designed in many door grilles so that pressing a latch button and then pivoting about the pivot axis, the force with which the plastic buffer is pressed onto the wall and thus holds the door guard in the frame, can be repealed.
- Handle locks which can be released or unlocked by adults with one hand, are frequently caused by a sequence of movements which is easily detected by children - by trial and error - and can then be reconstructed. The fuse then lost its purpose.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a door lock, in which the release of the handle for children is greatly impeded.
- the solution according to the invention provides a locking slide, which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the handle parallel to the plane of the door protection grid from the prestressed end position into a second end position, into which the handle can be pivoted.
- a prerequisite for unlocking the handle and thus a solution of the door protection grid is a displacement of the locking slide from the first end position against a spring force. Subsequently, a pivoting of the handle about its pivot axis in the plane of the grid is required. As a result, the plastic buffer is withdrawn from its stop position.
- the grid has no more support in the door frame.
- the locking slide is arranged and movable on the handle that a displacement of the locking slide and subsequent pivoting of the handle can be performed with one hand alone.
- the locking slide has on an inner side a web on which a carrier can be plugged, which has a pin and a spring holder. This design allows a quick and accurate mounting of the carrier without tools.
- the carrier is made in one piece, which allows a cost-effective production.
- the grid according to the invention has a lower cross member, in which a second plastic buffer is mounted parallel to the first plastic buffer, wherein the handle drives the second plastic buffer via a lever mechanism, which comprises a preferably vertically displaceable bar and a second toggle lever, synchronously to the first plastic buffer.
- a lever mechanism which comprises a preferably vertically displaceable bar and a second toggle lever, synchronously to the first plastic buffer.
- the handle has an interior with two side surfaces and a top and a longitudinal slot, wherein the longitudinal slot breaks through the top.
- the web of the locking slide is inserted for mounting through the longitudinal slot in the interior of the handle.
- the locking slide lies with its U-shaped cross-section on the back surface of the handle. He partially grasps the handle and lies against the side surfaces.
- the handle halves are held together by a screw. By grasping the locking slide holds the handle even when the screw has loosened.
- the handle has two handle halves, which can be assembled along a division by a central axis of the top are.
- This design of the handle allows a quick and clear mounting of the handle halves.
- the handle has two holes at one end, which are symmetrically opposed to each other and located in a respective side surface.
- These holes are part of a bearing through which the pivot axis passes.
- the bearing is mounted on the upper cross member. It is fastened by a positive connection.
- the handle has on the outer sides of its side surfaces guides for guiding the locking slide, on which the locking slide is displaceable with its side guides.
- the guide for the locking slide on the handle ensures a clear and stable position of the locking slide during the move and in a rest position.
- the web of the locking slide is inserted through the longitudinal slot in the interior of the handle.
- This design allows a quick and clear installation, since the locking slide can be placed due to its shape and the handle only in one orientation on the handle.
- the handle has a stop on its top.
- the design of the surface supports the operation of the locking slide, since the locking slide can be moved only in one direction from its first end position.
- the locking slide abuts against the stop when it assumes the first end position.
- the longitudinal slot has at one end a straight boundary which is perpendicular to a central axis of the handle.
- the longitudinal slot is a limitation on the position of the locking slide, because the web of the locking slide is pushed through the longitudinal slot in the interior of the handle.
- the displaceability of the locking slide is limited by the straight boundary.
- the spring retainer receives a spring which is pressed against the straight limit when the locking slide is moved away from the stop.
- the spring tension is built, with the Locking slide is biased in a first end position.
- the pin is pressed under a projection that a pivoting of the handle about the pivot axis is not possible.
- the handle is secured and the door lock remains in its position.
- the bridge has two cylindrical pedestals of different heights.
- the cylindrical base are arranged symmetrically to a central axis of the locking slide and each have an internal thread.
- the symmetrical arrangement of the cylindrical base allows the symmetrical design of the handle with symmetrically arranged longitudinal slot. This simplifies the production of these components because no non-symmetrical part needs to be manufactured.
- the threads in the base allow screwing the plugged carrier with the web.
- the carrier also has holes which are aligned with the holes of the socket to allow a positive connection.
- the locking slide has on its inside symmetrical to the central axis of a recess which has a circular arc-shaped cross section, which starts in front of the web and ends at the straight boundary.
- the spring In the recess, the spring is inserted parallel to a central axis. Previously, this spring was already placed over the spring carrier. The spring located on the spring carrier is placed on the base on the arcuate recess immediately before the attachment of the carrier. By correctly plugging the carrier on the web automatically results in the correct arrangement of the spring carrier equipped with spring in the circular arc-shaped recess.
- the handle has on its inside two parallel to the central axis arranged guide rails, each extending between the longitudinal gap and an inner wall of the handle and are formed rectangular.
- the carrier On the guide rails, the carrier is located with a right and a left edge region of its underside.
- the guide rails stabilize the position of the wearer. They facilitate the attachment of the carrier to the base, because the mobility of the wearer in the interior of the handle is limited by the guide rails. This restriction speeds up and facilitates the mounting of the carrier in the interior of the handle.
- the carrier has symmetrical to a central axis two through holes, which are pushed from an underside of the carrier to the base of the web.
- the spring holder has a spring which lies in a recess and can be clamped between a front edge of the carrier and a straight boundary.
- the spring is compressed on the spring holder against the straight boundary, so that it can be clamped in the recess.
- the straight boundary is fixed in position because it is incorporated in the inner contour of the handle.
- the position of the front edge of the carrier is not fixed. It depends on the respective position of the movable support. This has the consequence that, depending on the initial position of the carrier immediately after the insertion of the spring into a recess, the spring pushes the carrier with the attached locking slide in a first end position. From this first end position of the carrier can be moved only by moving the locking slide against the spring.
- the carrier is slidable on the guide rails.
- the handle has two guide rails. They are arranged parallel to one another in the interior of the handle, which has two handle halves.
- the guide rails are each of rectangular shape and the same size. If the carrier is moved, it slides over the guide rails.
- a bearing surface of the pin engages under a retaining surface of the projection, wherein the pin is displaceable against the projection.
- the pin located on the carrier is pressed by the spring against the projection.
- the bearing surface of the pin engages around the projection.
- the bearing surface of the pin is pressed against the retaining surface of the projection.
- the pin is so far against the projection displaced until a pillar, in which the pin is integrated rests on the projection.
- the locking slide has then reached its first end position.
- the locking slide is automatically displaced by a slope of the pin against the spring.
- a door protection grid In a preferred modification of a door protection grid according to the invention, provision is made for the door protection grid to be pivotably articulated to a frame by means of a rotary joint.
- the removability of the safety gate can be given depending on the requirements even with a pivotally hinged embodiment, when the hinges are designed to be releasably.
