Abstract

Elektrisches Heizelement 1, vorzugsweise für die Zündung für Biomasseheizungen wie beispielsweise Pelletöfen, mit einem zur Aufnahme einer Heizdrahtwendel ausgebildeten länglichen Wendelträger 2 aus einem temperaturbeständigen, elektrisch isolierenden Werkstoff, wobei die Heizdrahtwendel außen auf dem Wendelträger 2 spiralförmig aufgenommen und von einem Hüllrohr 4 aus einem ebenfalls temperaturbeständigen Material eingeschlossen ist. Dabei begrenzen der Wendelträger 2 und das Hüllrohr 4 einen Luftkanal 5, der von der Heizdrahtwendel durchsetzt ist. Erfindungsgemäß weist der Wendelträger 2 mindestens zwei aneinanderliegende Wendelträgerschalenteile 6, 6' auf, die sich symmetrisch zu der Mittelachse 8 des Heizelementes 1 in Längsrichtung des Wendelträgers 2 erstrecken.
