Domestic appliance, particularly cooking appliance, with a useful space (4) closable by a door (2), a control panel (6) and a storage container (14), which is mounted therein in drawer-like manner, for an operating liquid, wherein an upper side of the storage container (14) is constructed as a removable lid (22) with a filling state marking (44) arranged thereon, characterised in that a surge-protection means (48) formed from at least one curved web (48a, 48b, 48c) is mounted on a base surface (26) of the storage container (14).
  2. Domestic appliance according to claim 1, characterised in that the filling state marking (44) is arranged in the region of a filling opening (36) of the storage container (14).
  3. Domestic appliance according to claim 2, characterised in that the storage container (14) has a surface (38), which is conically curved oppositely to the filling direction (B) and which is arranged between a base surface (26) and the filling opening (36) and has the filling state marking (44).
  4. Domestic appliance according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that different grip elements (24) are mountable on the storage container (14).
  5. Domestic appliance according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the storage container (14) can be pushed into a cassette (12) arranged behind the control panel (6) and substantially closed apart from a push-in opening (13).
  6. Domestic appliance according to claim 5, characterised in that the storage container (14) and the cassette (12) have mutually co-operating elements which in a pushed-in position of the storage container (14) produce an operational setting, which is inclined relative to the horizontal, of the storage container (14).
  7. Domestic appliance according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that in a rearward region of the storage container (14) remote from a grip element (24) a base surface (26) goes over into a chamfer (30) which extends in the direction of a back wall (31) and is inclined relative to the horizontal oppositely to the filling direction (B).
  8. Domestic appliance according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the storage container (14) and/or the cassette (12) is or are constructed at least in a region as an optical waveguide.
  9. Storage container for a domestic appliance with a trough (20) and a lid (22), in which storage container an upper side of the storage container is constructed as a removable lid (22) with a filling state marking (44) arranged thereon, characterised in that a surge protection means (48) formed from at least one curved web (48a, 48b, 48c) is mounted on a base surface (26) of the storage container (14).
