Definitions
- the invention relates to a grinding and cleaning body, in particular for the machining of structured floor coverings.
- the sanding and cleaning bodies are used to clean hard-to-maintain plastic floor coverings with textured surfaces.
- the abrasive and cleaning bodies can also be used to abrade floor coverings with textured surfaces so that they can be recoated.
- Plastic floor coverings are used in many applications, such as healthcare, industry and commerce, airports, office and administrative buildings and residential buildings.
- plastic floor coverings with a flat surface those with a pronounced surface structure are available which make the floor coverings appear more natural or reduce the risk of slipping.
- floor coverings with a slate structure, wood structure, hammered surface or round knobs are known.
- the structuring may be a few millimeters high.
- plastic floors are also coated with PU lacquer.
- PU lacquer When refurbishing such PU-coated flooring, the old PU coating must be sanded before the floor can be recoated.
- no abrasive products have been known which could thoroughly sand down textured floor coverings. Even compliant grinding wheels always grind only the elevations of the flooring, while the wells remain unprocessed.
- an abrasive body in particular for cleaning surfaces, which has a base body which has an abrasive on at least one side, wherein the base body has elevations on the side on which the abrasive is present.
- substances removed from the surface to be ground or polished or abrasion of the grinding body can collect in the cavities formed by the elevations.
- the surveys that increases the abrasion of the grinding wheel.
- active substances embedded through the elevations in additives are to be released in a more targeted manner.
- pot and Geschirquessschissemme which have a resilient, slightly profiled surface.
- These pot and dishwashing sponges are used for manual dishwashing, have no defined removal rate and are inherently not suitable for machine tillage.
- polishing sponges are known with a resilient, profiled surface, which are used together with liquid polishing agents for the polishing of automotive paint surfaces.
- the polishing sponges themselves have no grinding or cleaning action.
- the present invention therefore has the object to provide a grinding and cleaning body for machining of structured floor coverings.
- a grinding and cleaning body for machining of structured floor coverings, comprising a base body, which is provided on a first side with a resilient, profiled surface, a processing layer disposed on the profiled surface of the base body is and a Klettadaptions Mrs, which is arranged on a second, the first side opposite side of the base body.
- the processing layer is arranged on a profiled, resilient surface of the basic body, deeper areas of a structured floor covering can also be achieved with the grinding and cleaning body and thus be mechanically ground or machine-cleaned.
- the flexible profiling also presses the processing layer into the deep points of the soil structure.
- the Velcro adaptation layer which is arranged on a second side of the main body opposite the first side, the grinding and cleaning body can be easily and securely fastened to a corresponding machine, with good force transmission from the machine to the grinding and cleaning body is.
- the processing layer comprises abrasive grains embedded in a synthetic resin.
- abrasive grains consist for example of sandstone, pumice, quartz, corundum, silicon carbide or similar hard materials. They cause the actual grinding or cleaning action of the grinding and cleaning body.
- the abrasive grains are embedded in a synthetic resin.
- the abrasive grains have a defined grain size, so that the grinding action of the grinding and cleaning body can be adapted to the material to be ground and the desired surface roughness and the removal rate.
- the processing layer has a non-abrasive or abrasion-free synthetic resin coating. If the soil surface is not to be abraded, but only to be cleaned by strongly adhering soiling, the processing layer need only have a scouring-free synthetic resin coating without abrasive grains.
- This scouring agent-free synthetic resin coating can, for example, have an open-pored or fleece-like finish.
- a good cleaning effect is achieved by the synthetic resin coating, wherein the surface of the floor covering is not attacked and thereby spared.
- firmly adhering wax layers can be easily removed hereby.
- the processing layer is flocked, in particular with an artificial or natural fiber, or with melamine resin foam particles. Flocking with artificial or natural fibers or with melamine resin foam particles also increases the cleaning effect of the grinding and cleaning body and in particular penetrates into very fine structures of the floor covering without damaging the floor covering. Also hereby very well firmly adhering dirt or old wax layers can also be removed from recesses of the floor covering without attacking the surface of the floor covering.
- the base body and the processing layer consist of at least one compliant rubber-like material, wherein the processing layer or the processing layer and the base body are interspersed with abrasive grain.
- grinding and cleaning body can be made with comparatively small nubs, in which the abrasive grain is "rubber bounded", i. is embedded in a rubbery elastic material.
- Such grinding and cleaning bodies are particularly suitable for processing soils with a low surface structure, for example a hammered structure. It is advantageous that rubber bounded grinding and cleaning body have a very long service life. In addition, you can easily produce by injection molding, without further coating operations are necessary.
- a grinding and cleaning body for machining of structured floor coverings, comprising a base body which is provided on a first side with a resilient, profiled surface, a processing layer disposed on the profiled surface of the base body wherein the processing layer comprises embedded in a synthetic resin abrasive article.
- such grinding and cleaning bodies are suitable for large and heavy tillage machines, which are equipped with a bristle plate.
- the grinding and cleaning body is simply placed on the ground and the tillage machine placed on it, which then moved with the bristle plate, the grinding and cleaning body by friction.
- a Velcro connection is not necessary here.
- the profiled surface of the main body preferably has a yielding nub structure. Due to the nub structure, elevations on the base body and also corresponding elevations of the processing layer result, so that the processing layer is pressed by the main body into deeper points of the structured surface of the floor covering.
- the nubs preferably have a pyramidal shape, a truncated pyramidal shape, a conical shape, a truncated cone shape or a wave shape in cross-section.
- a pyramid shape and conical shape comparatively sharp elevations of the knobs result, so that finely structured floor coverings can be better processed.
- the truncated pyramid shape and truncated cone shape results in a flattened syringe, which is advantageous for coarser textured floor coverings, especially for Noppenbeläge.
- the removal rate of such studded shapes is better than with pointed shapes.
- nubs When viewed in cross section waveform nubs have a rounded tip and then go over into a rather blunt nubs area. This makes them suitable for both fine and coarser textured floor coverings.
- the waveform is also very easy to customize.
- the nubs have a height of 2 mm to 50 mm, more preferably a height of 10 mm to 20 mm. With such dimensions, a good balance is achieved between the flexibility of the dimples and the rigidity of the dimples required for the cleaning effect.
- the studs have a distance of 3 mm to 50 mm, more preferably 10 mm to 20 mm. With such intervals, the grinding and cleaning body used can be optimally adapted to the respective floor covering. This ensures on the one hand that even fine depressions of the floor covering can be processed, but on the other hand, a high Abtrags antique is given on the surface.
- the base body consists of a resilient foam material.
- resilient foam material is very easy to produce in the desired hardnesses and with the desired profiled surface.
- flexible foam material can be provided or coated very well with a processing layer.
- the foam material preferably has a compression hardness according to DIN 53577 or ISO 3386 of 20-60 (2 - 6 kPa with 40% material compression).
- this compressive strength ensures a sufficient contact pressure and thus a good removal rate.
- the base body has a thickness of 10 mm to 60 mm, more preferably 15 mm to 30 mm and more preferably 20 mm to 25 mm.
- Such thicknesses of the main body provide the required flexibility of the grinding and cleaning body, which ensures that the processing layer can penetrate with the necessary pressure into deeper areas of the structured surface, while other profiled surface areas of the processing layer can process higher areas of the floor covering.
- the base body consists of a resilient plastic material.
- a compliant plastic material for the base body with the profiled surface can also be used.
- the knobs can be equipped with a resilient bellows.
- the Velcro adaptation layer preferably has a Velcro velor layer.
- a Velcro velor layer connects very well with a hook layer of a Velcro system and thus ensures a good slip-free power transmission from the machine to the grinding and cleaning body.
- an elastic abrasive grain carrier increases the service life of the grinding and cleaning body, in particular if a comparatively soft foam material is used for the base body.
- the grinding and cleaning body is designed as a round disk, as a rectangular blank or in delta format.
- the grinding and cleaning body can be adapted to the particular machine with which it is used.
- a structured floor covering can be achieved with the grinding and cleaning body and thus ground or machine cleaned with a tillage machine, because the processing layer is disposed on a profiled resilient surface of the body. So that a floor covering with a textured surface can be thoroughly cleaned and completely sanded off, which was previously only possible for the raised areas of the floor covering.
- the step of attaching the abrasive and cleaning body to a floor cleaning machine comprises the step of simply placing the floor cleaning machine or the floor grinding machine on the ground and grinding body.
- the attachment of the grinding and cleaning body to the floor cleaning machine can be done by merely placing the machine on the grinding and cleaning body, as this is usually difficult enough mitzube admire the grinding and cleaning body by friction.
- An optional bristle plate of the floor cleaning machine supports this attachment by static friction. Velcro systems are not necessary here.
- a grinding or cleaning body described above is used for the machining of structured floor coverings by means of a tillage machine or hand grinder.
- the Figures 1 and 2 show a grinding and cleaning body 1 according to a first embodiment.
- the grinding and cleaning body 1 comprises a base body 10, which is provided on a first side 12 with a resilient profiled surface 14.
- a processing layer 20 is arranged, which comes into contact with the surface of the soil in use and which causes the actual cleaning or grinding action.
- a hook-and-loop-type adhesive layer 30 is attached in this embodiment. With the help of this Velcro adaptation layer, the grinding and cleaning body 1 can be firmly but releasably attached to a grinding or cleaning machine.
- the profiled surface 14 of a plurality of resilient nubs 18. preferably consist of the same material as the rest of the base body 10 and are formed integrally with the rest of the base body 10. However, they can also be made of a different material.
- a resilient foam material is used as the material for the base body 10. This may consist of, for example, foamed soft polyurethane or foamed rubber.
- the foam material is elastic and has a compression hardness according to DIN 53577 or ISO 3386 of 20-60. This corresponds to a pressure of 2 - 6 kPa with 40% compression of the foam.
- the shape of the nubs 18 may vary depending on the application.
- Fig. 1 the studded shape is a waveform in cross section.
- Other pimple shapes are in the FIGS. 7A-E shown, where Fig. 7A a main body 10 with conical nubs 18, Fig. 7B a main body 10 with frustoconical nubs 18, Fig. 7C a base body 10 with pyramidal nubs 18, Fig. 7D a main body 10 with truncated pyramidal knobs 18 and Fig. 7E in turn shows a base body 10 with knobs 18 of wavy cross-section.
- the nubs 18 may also have other shapes and blends of the shapes shown.
- a sharpened nub structure for example a pointed pyramidal structure or conical structure
- a nub that is round at the top will be used.
- a flattened at the top knob shape for example, the truncated cone or truncated pyramid shape should be selected.
- Usual heights h of the nubs 18 are from 2 mm - 50 mm, preferably 10 mm - 20 mm. Such heights on the one hand provide the necessary flexibility and flexibility of the nubs 18, but are chosen so that at the same time necessary for the cleaning and grinding action stiffness and stability of the nubs 18 is given.
- the nubs 18, as in Fig. 1 can be seen arranged in a regular pattern on the surface 14, wherein the distance a of the knobs with each other is preferably 3 mm - 50 mm. The smaller the distance a can be selected, the higher the removal rate of the grinding and cleaning body 1. Also a distance a of 10 mm - 20 mm has been proven for certain grinding and cleaning tasks.
- Usual thicknesses D of the main body 10 are 10 mm - 60 mm, preferably 15 mm - 30 mm and more preferably 20 mm - 25 mm.
- the thickness D of the base body 10, the height h of the nubs 18 and their distance a is chosen so that when using the grinding and cleaning body 1, the compression of the nubs 18 at the required contact pressure of the machine on the floor - or generally on the workpiece - Is in an area that allows on the one hand a good removal of the material on the other hand, a good penetration into the deep areas of the surface structure.
- a compression of the nubs of 30-70% provides good grinding and cleaning results in structured plastic floors.
- the profiled surface 14 of the grinding and cleaning body 1 of the structure of the flooring can adapt, so that the grinding pressure on the entire grinding surface is approximately equal
- the Velcro adaptation layer 30 may consist of a Velcro velcro or Velcro nonwoven, which is glued to the second side 16 of the base body 10 with a suitable adhesive. About the Velcro adaptation layer 30 of the grinding and cleaning body 1 can be attached to a sanding pad or abrasive holder.
- the processing layer 20 consists of sharp-edged abrasive grains 22 embedded in a synthetic resin or another suitable binder, with which the nubs 18 are coated.
- abrasive grains 22 consist for example of sandstone, pumice, quartz, corundum, silicon carbide or similar hard materials.
- the grinding and cleaning action of the grinding and cleaning body 1 according to the invention can be adjusted by the abrasive grain size.
- the grinding and cleaning body 1 according to the invention on the profiled or grooved surface 12 can also be provided with a grinding-agent-free coating 24 as the processing layer 20.
- This coating 24 may, for example, be a scouring-free synthetic resin coating.
- This coating 24 may be open-pored or fleece-like. It is also possible to flock the surface 12 with polyester or polyamide fibers, for example, to clean or polish the floor.
- a flocking or coating 24 of melamine resin foam particles arise as a waste product (cutting dust) when cutting blocks of melamine resin foam.
- These plastic particles are very open-pored and sharp-edged and are therefore well suited for cleaning floor coverings. On the other hand, they are very gentle on the surface of the floor covering and do not attack it.
- abrasive grain carrier 26 which in turn is coated with abrasive grain 22.
- This embodiment is used in particular for intensive cleaning or grinding work, for which a relatively coarse abrasive grain 22 is needed.
- the coarse abrasive grain 22 may be better anchored to the abrasive grain carrier 26 than to the body 10 itself.
- the abrasive grain carrier 26 provides the abrasive and cleaning body 1 with better stability at the abrasive surface.
- a non-woven fabric is used as the abrasive grain carrier 26.
- Fig. 6 shows a grinding and cleaning body 1 in which the base body 10 consists of a resilient plastic material.
- These nubs 18 can be coated with the above-described different processing layers 20 (with and without abrasive grain 22, flocking 24 or with and without abrasive grain carrier 26).
- a grinding and cleaning body 1 is also an optimal adaptation of the individual knobs 18 in terms of elasticity, shape and arrangement on the structured surface of the floor to be processed possible.
- a uniform sanding pressure is guaranteed on all surface areas of the floor covering.
- the base body 10 and the processing layer 20 may also consist of a resilient rubber-like material.
- the rubbery material of the base body 10 may be different from the material of the processing layer 20. But both layers can also consist of the same rubber-like material.
- a preferred material is rubbery polyurethane.
- the processing layer 20 alone or the processing layer 20 and the base body 10 may be completely interspersed with abrasive grain 22.
- the abrasive grain 22 is "rubber bounded", i. immediately embedded or embedded the rubber-like elastic material, so that coating operations can be omitted.
- grinding and cleaning bodies 1 according to the invention are equally suitable, of course, for processing structured and flat plastics, rubber, wooden floors, in particular plank floors, marble and fine stone floors. Further applications of grinding and cleaning bodies 1 are in the grinding of uneven and structured surfaces, for example in aircraft construction.
- Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment of a grinding and cleaning body 1 according to the invention.
- the second side 16 is not provided with a Velcro adaptation layer 30.
- This embodiment is therefore particularly suitable for tillage machines, which have one or more turntables.
- the tillage machine especially a floor cleaning machine
- the tillage machine can be easily placed on the lying on the ground grinding and cleaning body 1, so that this by friction is moved by the corresponding turntable.
- To improve the friction of the turntable may be provided on its underside with bristles, which penetrate into the second side 16 of the body 10. An anchorage via a Velcro system is not necessary in this case.
- the grinding and cleaning body 1 according to the invention are particularly suitable for use with such tillage machines. However, they can also be used with other grinders, such as hand grinders. In any case, the outer contour of the grinding and cleaning body 1 is then adapted to the shape of the respective tool holder of the grinding machine. Usual forms are round, rectangular or the so-called delta format. When used with single-disc tillage machines grinding and cleaning body 1 have a round outer contour and a diameter of 370 mm - 500 mm, depending on the machine.

The invention relates to a grinding and cleaning body, in particular for the machining of structured floor coverings. The sanding and cleaning bodies are used to clean hard-to-maintain plastic floor coverings with textured surfaces. The abrasive and cleaning bodies can also be used to abrade floor coverings with textured surfaces so that they can be recoated.
Plastic floor coverings are used in many applications, such as healthcare, industry and commerce, airports, office and administrative buildings and residential buildings. In addition to plastic floor coverings with a flat surface, those with a pronounced surface structure are available which make the floor coverings appear more natural or reduce the risk of slipping. For example, floor coverings with a slate structure, wood structure, hammered surface or round knobs are known. The structuring may be a few millimeters high.
Thorough cleaning and grinding of such coverings represents a major, yet not optimally solved problem. Known cleaning products and systems, such as brushing machines with brush rollers or single-disc machines, Triomaschinen or cleaning machines, which are used in conjunction with grinding or cleaning pads achieve deeper areas of the profiled surface, so that a thorough cleaning or processing of the entire surface is not possible. In particular, dirt can be removed from deeper areas of the profiled surface bad, since the abrasive or cleaning agents reach only the raised areas of the textured surface of the floor covering. If soft brush rolls are used, though reaches the deeper points of the surface structure of the soil, but the overall cleaning effect is very low.
In order to increase the useful life of the plastic floors and to improve the visual appearance of the floor coverings, plastic floors are also coated with PU lacquer. When refurbishing such PU-coated flooring, the old PU coating must be sanded before the floor can be recoated. However, in the prior art, no abrasive products have been known which could thoroughly sand down textured floor coverings. Even compliant grinding wheels always grind only the elevations of the flooring, while the wells remain unprocessed.

Furthermore, pot and Geschirreinigungsschwämme are known which have a resilient, slightly profiled surface. These pot and dishwashing sponges are used for manual dishwashing, have no defined removal rate and are inherently not suitable for machine tillage.
Furthermore, polishing sponges are known with a resilient, profiled surface, which are used together with liquid polishing agents for the polishing of automotive paint surfaces. The polishing sponges themselves have no grinding or cleaning action.
The present invention therefore has the object to provide a grinding and cleaning body for machining of structured floor coverings.
The above object is achieved by a grinding and cleaning body for machining of structured floor coverings according to
In particular, the above-mentioned object is achieved by a grinding and cleaning body, for machining of structured floor coverings, comprising a base body, which is provided on a first side with a resilient, profiled surface, a processing layer disposed on the profiled surface of the base body is and a Klettadaptionsschicht, which is arranged on a second, the first side opposite side of the base body.
Due to the fact that the processing layer is arranged on a profiled, resilient surface of the basic body, deeper areas of a structured floor covering can also be achieved with the grinding and cleaning body and thus be mechanically ground or machine-cleaned. The flexible profiling also presses the processing layer into the deep points of the soil structure. With the aid of the Velcro adaptation layer, which is arranged on a second side of the main body opposite the first side, the grinding and cleaning body can be easily and securely fastened to a corresponding machine, with good force transmission from the machine to the grinding and cleaning body is.
Due to the structured surface of the grinding and cleaning body air is also taken during the grinding process and passed to the grinding surface, so that the grinding surface is cooled, resulting in an addition of the grinding and cleaning body prevents and improves the grinding result. In addition, resulting grinding dust is carried away from the grinding surface.
Preferably, the processing layer comprises abrasive grains embedded in a synthetic resin. Such abrasive grains consist for example of sandstone, pumice, quartz, corundum, silicon carbide or similar hard materials. They cause the actual grinding or cleaning action of the grinding and cleaning body. For secure attachment of the abrasive grains on the body they are embedded in a synthetic resin. Usually, the abrasive grains have a defined grain size, so that the grinding action of the grinding and cleaning body can be adapted to the material to be ground and the desired surface roughness and the removal rate.
In a further preferred embodiment, the processing layer has a non-abrasive or abrasion-free synthetic resin coating. If the soil surface is not to be abraded, but only to be cleaned by strongly adhering soiling, the processing layer need only have a scouring-free synthetic resin coating without abrasive grains. This scouring agent-free synthetic resin coating can, for example, have an open-pored or fleece-like finish. Hereby, a good cleaning effect is achieved by the synthetic resin coating, wherein the surface of the floor covering is not attacked and thereby spared. In particular, firmly adhering wax layers can be easily removed hereby.
Preferably, the processing layer is flocked, in particular with an artificial or natural fiber, or with melamine resin foam particles.
In a preferred embodiment, the base body and the processing layer consist of at least one compliant rubber-like material, wherein the processing layer or the processing layer and the base body are interspersed with abrasive grain. In particular grinding and cleaning body can be made with comparatively small nubs, in which the abrasive grain is "rubber bounded", i. is embedded in a rubbery elastic material. Such grinding and cleaning bodies are particularly suitable for processing soils with a low surface structure, for example a hammered structure. It is advantageous that rubber bounded grinding and cleaning body have a very long service life. In addition, you can easily produce by injection molding, without further coating operations are necessary.
The above object is also achieved by a grinding and cleaning body, for machining of structured floor coverings, comprising a base body which is provided on a first side with a resilient, profiled surface, a processing layer disposed on the profiled surface of the base body wherein the processing layer comprises embedded in a synthetic resin abrasive article.
Again, deeper areas of a structured floor covering can be achieved with the grinding and cleaning body and thus mechanically ground or machine cleaned because the processing layer is disposed on a profiled resilient surface of the body. The resilient profiling presses the processing layer into the deep points of the soil structure. With the help of the embedded in synthetic resin - or a similar material - embedded abrasive body a defined cleaning or grinding effect is achieved, which can be adapted to the particular material and the desired grinding or cleaning task exactly. In addition, embedding ensures that the abrasive grains adhere securely even under dynamic load due to the resilient profiled surface and immersion in deeper-lying soil structures, thus ensuring a good service life of the grinding and cleaning body. In particular, such grinding and cleaning bodies are suitable for large and heavy tillage machines, which are equipped with a bristle plate. Here, the grinding and cleaning body is simply placed on the ground and the tillage machine placed on it, which then moved with the bristle plate, the grinding and cleaning body by friction. A Velcro connection is not necessary here.
The profiled surface of the main body preferably has a yielding nub structure. Due to the nub structure, elevations on the base body and also corresponding elevations of the processing layer result, so that the processing layer is pressed by the main body into deeper points of the structured surface of the floor covering.
The nubs preferably have a pyramidal shape, a truncated pyramidal shape, a conical shape, a truncated cone shape or a wave shape in cross-section. In the pyramid shape and conical shape, comparatively sharp elevations of the knobs result, so that finely structured floor coverings can be better processed. In the truncated pyramid shape and truncated cone shape results in a flattened syringe, which is advantageous for coarser textured floor coverings, especially for Noppenbeläge. Also, the removal rate of such studded shapes is better than with pointed shapes. When viewed in cross section waveform nubs have a rounded tip and then go over into a rather blunt nubs area. This makes them suitable for both fine and coarser textured floor coverings. The waveform is also very easy to customize.
Preferably, the nubs have a height of 2 mm to 50 mm, more preferably a height of 10 mm to 20 mm. With such dimensions, a good balance is achieved between the flexibility of the dimples and the rigidity of the dimples required for the cleaning effect.
Preferably, the studs have a distance of 3 mm to 50 mm, more preferably 10 mm to 20 mm. With such intervals, the grinding and cleaning body used can be optimally adapted to the respective floor covering. This ensures on the one hand that even fine depressions of the floor covering can be processed, but on the other hand, a high Abtragsleistung is given on the surface.
Preferably, the base body consists of a resilient foam material. Such resilient foam material is very easy to produce in the desired hardnesses and with the desired profiled surface. Furthermore, flexible foam material can be provided or coated very well with a processing layer.
The foam material preferably has a compression hardness according to DIN 53577 or ISO 3386 of 20-60 (2 - 6 kPa with 40% material compression). Thus, the foam material on the one hand soft enough to press the knobs with the processing layer in the wells of the flooring, on the other hand, this compressive strength ensures a sufficient contact pressure and thus a good removal rate.
Preferably, the base body has a thickness of 10 mm to 60 mm, more preferably 15 mm to 30 mm and more preferably 20 mm to 25 mm. Such thicknesses of the main body provide the required flexibility of the grinding and cleaning body, which ensures that the processing layer can penetrate with the necessary pressure into deeper areas of the structured surface, while other profiled surface areas of the processing layer can process higher areas of the floor covering.
Preferably, the base body consists of a resilient plastic material. Instead of a foam material, a compliant plastic material for the base body with the profiled surface can also be used. Then preferably the knobs can be equipped with a resilient bellows.
The Velcro adaptation layer preferably has a Velcro velor layer. A Velcro velor layer connects very well with a hook layer of a Velcro system and thus ensures a good slip-free power transmission from the machine to the grinding and cleaning body.
In a preferred embodiment, the processing layer on an elastic abrasive grain carrier - in particular a nonwoven fabric - which covers the knobs and coated with abrasive grain. The use of an elastic abrasive grain carrier increases the service life of the grinding and cleaning body, in particular if a comparatively soft foam material is used for the base body.
In a preferred embodiment, the grinding and cleaning body is designed as a round disk, as a rectangular blank or in delta format. Thus, the grinding and cleaning body can be adapted to the particular machine with which it is used.
- a. Bereitstellen einer Bodenreinigungsmaschine oder einer Bodenschleifmaschine;
- b. Bereitstellen eines Schleif- und Reinigungskörpers mit einem Grundkörper, der auf einer ersten Seite mit einer nachgiebigen profilierten Oberfläche versehen ist und der eine Bearbeitungsschicht aufweist, die auf der profilierten Oberfläche des Grundkörpers angeordnet ist;
- a. Providing a floor cleaning machine or a floor grinding machine;
- b. Providing a grinding and cleaning body having a base body provided on a first side with a resilient profiled surface and having a processing layer disposed on the profiled surface of the base body;
- c. Attaching the abrasive and cleaning body to the floor cleaning or grinding machine; and
- d. Working the structured floor covering with the floor cleaning machine or the floor grinding machine, wherein areas of the resilient profiled surface of the grinding and cleaning body penetrate into deep areas of the structured floor covering.
Again, deeper areas of a structured floor covering can be achieved with the grinding and cleaning body and thus ground or machine cleaned with a tillage machine, because the processing layer is disposed on a profiled resilient surface of the body. So that a floor covering with a textured surface can be thoroughly cleaned and completely sanded off, which was previously only possible for the raised areas of the floor covering.
Preferably, the step of attaching the abrasive and cleaning body to a floor cleaning machine comprises the step of simply placing the floor cleaning machine or the floor grinding machine on the ground and grinding body. The attachment of the grinding and cleaning body to the floor cleaning machine can be done by merely placing the machine on the grinding and cleaning body, as this is usually difficult enough mitzubewegen the grinding and cleaning body by friction. An optional bristle plate of the floor cleaning machine supports this attachment by static friction. Velcro systems are not necessary here.
Preferably, a grinding or cleaning body described above is used for the machining of structured floor coverings by means of a tillage machine or hand grinder.

It is also possible to make a flocking or coating 24 of melamine resin foam particles. Such particles arise as a waste product (cutting dust) when cutting blocks of melamine resin foam. These plastic particles are very open-pored and sharp-edged and are therefore well suited for cleaning floor coverings. On the other hand, they are very gentle on the surface of the floor covering and do not attack it.

In addition, the
It should be mentioned that grinding and cleaning
