Die Abstufung 11 ist im Wesentlichen auf Handbreite ausgelegt, bildet eine schulterartige Auflageleiste 11a und kann, wie insbesondere aus den Fig. 3 bis 6 ersichtlich ist, mit leicht vorstehenden Wölbungen bzw. Vorsprüngen versehen sein, die hier gerundet sind, und das Griffverhalten verbessern sollen. Infolge der Abstufung 11 und der Griffschulter 6a ist die Riegelbetätigung von beiden Seiten der Seitenwand her möglich, also von innen und außen. Ersichtlich dient die Auflageschulter 11a als Führungsteil und weist hierzu eine Nut auf, die mit der Führungsleiste 7 kommuniziert. Das Griffteil 6a steht von der Auflageschulter 11a nach oben vor. Die Führungsleisten sind langgestreckt ausgebildet und weisen kürzere Länge als die der Ausnehmungen auf. Ferner ist die Bedienung der Verriegelungsvorrichtung besonders intuitiv, wenn zumindest eine der Ausnehmungen 12, 13 eine Pfeilform aufweist und/oder die entsprechende Leiste 14, 15 eine dazu korrespondierende Pfeilform aufweist. Diese zeigt dann dem Benutzer auf einfache Weise an, in welche Richtung das Griffelement 6 verschoben werden muss, um die Verriegelung zwischen der einklappbaren Seitenwand 4 und der daran anschließenden Seitenwand 8 zu lösen. Claims (8)

  1. A large container (2) comprising:
    a base component (3);
    four circumferentially arranged side walls (4, 8) of which at least one is attached to the base component (3) through at least one hinge and the at least one side wall is thus foldable towards the base component (3);
    at least one locking device with a handle element (6) at the foldable side wall (4) for attaching the foldable side wall (4) in folded up condition at least at one side wall (8) which joins the foldable side wall (4); and
    an engagement lug (16) permanently coupled to the handle element (6), wherein the engagement lug engages a respective recess of the side wall (8) adjoining the foldable side wall (4) as a function of a position of the handle element (6), thus facilitating locking or disengaging the locking of the foldable side wall (4) as a function of the position of the handle element (6),
    wherein the locking device is arranged in a recess (10) of the foldable sidewall (4) which is configured so that the locking device is actuatable from an inside and from an outside of the large container,
    wherein the locking device is arranged at an upper edge (5) of the foldable side wall (4), wherein the upper edge is oriented away from the base component (3),
    characterized in that
    the handle element (6) of the locking device rides movably supported on a support bar (7) in a step formed by the recess (10)
    wherein the handle element (6) includes a step (11) which defines a handle shoulder (6a) and a shoulder (11a) which is provided as a movement stop, and
    wherein the handle element (6) includes at least one additional recess (12, 13) into which a protrusion (14, 15) of the foldable side wall (4) configured as a bar or pin engages, thus forming a support of the handle element (6) and/or an inner stop for the handle element (6).
  2. The large container (2) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein two locking devices are provided opposite to one another at the foldable side wall (4).
  3. The large container (2) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the locking device is arranged proximal to a side edge which is associated with the foldable side wall (4) and extends from the base component (3) to the edge (5) oriented away from the base component (3).
  4. The large container (2) according to claim 1, wherein a movement of the handle element (6) of the locking device towards a center of an edge (5) oriented away from the base component (3) disengages the locking between the foldable side wall (4) and the side wall (8) adjoining thereto and a movement of the handle element (6) away from the center of the edge (5) oriented away from the base component (3) facilitates the locking.
  5. The large container (2) according to claim 1, wherein the recess (12) of the handle element (6) is configured arrow shaped, wherein the arrow head is preferably oriented in opening direction of the locking device.
  6. The large container (2) according to claim 6, wherein the protrusion of the foldable side wall (4) is configured arrow shaped so that it engages the arrow shaped recess (12) of the handle element (6).
  7. The large container (2) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the handle element (6) is recessed in the foldable side wall (4) so that the foldable side wall (4) itself forms a support and/or a stop for the handle element (6), in particular through the protruding support bar (7).
  8. The large container (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that the handle element (6) comprises a groove which reaches over the support bar (7).
