Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Schutzelement für Radfahrerhosen, welches einen vorderen und einen hinteren Schutzbereich aufweist, die durch eine Verjüngung miteinander verbunden sind, wobei die Schutzbereiche und die Verjüngung jeweils eine Oberfläche habenThe invention relates to a protective element for cyclists pants, which has a front and a rear protection area, which are connected by a taper with each other, wherein the protection areas and the taper each have a surface

For the purposes of the present invention, cycling pants are understood to mean not only trousers, but also racing dresses for men and women for cycling, which also include a top. Such pants and dresses are used by both professional and non-professional cyclists in both road and track cycling as well as mountain biking. They serve to protect the body from prolonged sitting on the narrow racing saddle of a sports bicycle. Due to the narrow saddle, the body parts directly in contact with the saddle are subject to the highest local stresses, which can lead to severe injuries of the affected body parts, as far as no protective measures are taken. To protect against such injuries special cycling pants are known to the on Highly stressed areas are provided with protective pads to protect the highly stressed body parts against pressure and friction.

In order to provide such protection against pressure and friction, it is known to sew or glue protective elements in cyclist pants or race suits made for cyclists. For this purpose, find seat cushions application, which are arranged in the area of the step of the pants. The upholstery can be made of upholstered natural leather or upholstered imitation leather; the use of gel pads is also known.

The known protective elements have a Reibmindernde and smooth surface. In order to achieve an additional friction reduction, it is customary to grease the protective elements made of natural leather before use. For upholstered fabrics, friction-reducing textiles are used. The protection elements have in common that they have a very smooth surface in order to minimize the friction between the pad and the skin of the user.

However, the protective elements used so far have the following disadvantage: When riding a bicycle it comes to perspiration because of the increased physical stress. This sweating also occurs in the field of protective elements in cycling pants. The moisture present in the form of perspiration results in softening of the cyclist's skin, as is generally the case when the skin is in contact with moisture. By softening the skin, the mechanical resilience of the skin is reduced. As a result, the risk of injury to the skin is increased by friction, which reduces performance.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention aims to remedy this situation. The invention has for its object to provide a protective element for cyclist pants, which avoids softening of the skin with constant damping properties even with sweat attack. US 2005/0210570 discloses a protective element whose surface has a three-dimensional structure according to the preamble of claim 1.

With the invention, a protective element for cyclist pants is provided according to claim 1, which allows a Schweißabfuhr and thus contributes to a lower load on the skin by moisture. As a result, the mechanical resilience of the skin is less reduced, so that the risk of injury due to friction is significantly reduced. The provision of a three-dimensional structure as a surface for protective elements for cyclist pants is in contrast to the previous solutions, which proceed from the theory that a smooth as possible, so two-dimensional surface is best suited for protective elements, since due to the smooth surface, the friction on a low level. However, it is disregarded that the moisture has no way to escape, so that due to the constant stress on the skin by the accumulating moisture, a softening of the skin. Due to the permanent influence of moisture on the skin its mechanical load capacity decreases continuously, so that the probability of injuries due to friction is high. The use of fats in leather upholstery enhances this effect, as the grease can cause the pores to close so that air circulation is completely prevented.

In a further development of the invention, the structure is made of a knitted fabric. This type of production allows a largely free design of the three-dimensional shape. As a result of the different design of the knitted fabric, different structures can be produced which have different properties. In addition, the knitted fabric has a high elasticity, which contributes to an optimal adaptation of the protective element to the movements and the body.

In the structure pockets and / or niches are formed. The pockets and / or niches allow the perspiration to be absorbed. At the same time the pockets or niches are filled with air, so that by absorbing the moisture in the air-filled pockets and niches takes place a recording of the sweat through the air, which has an evaporation result. This is a removal of moisture from the heavily loaded area allows.

In another embodiment of the invention air channels are provided in the structure. The air channels also help dissipate moisture from the areas that are particularly prone to sweat, which further reduces the burden on the skin of moisture.

The selected as an exemplary protective element for cyclist pants has a front protection area 1 and a rear protection area 2. The protection areas 1 and 2 are connected to each other by a taper 3. The protective element is at least partially provided on its periphery with an edge 4. The edge 4 serves to attach the protective element to the - not shown - biker pants. The connection between the protective element and biker pants can be done by sewing, gluing, welding or the like.

In the protective element gel filled pads 5, 6 and 7 are provided ( FIGS. 1 and 2 ). In a modification of this embodiment may also be foamed cushion, as exemplified in FIG. 5 is shown. Cushions 5, 6 and 7 are anatomically shaped and ergonomically cut. They provide effective shock absorption and allow for even pressure distribution. The illustrated shape of the cushions 5, 6 and 7 is only one possible variant. The cushions 5, 6 and 7 can also have other shapes, as in the FIGS. 6 and 7 is shown.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 6 For example, in addition to the cushions 5 and 6, the cushion 7 is provided, which is executed divided, whereby the cushion parts 71 and 72 are caused. Furthermore, a cushion 11 is additionally provided in the region of the taper 3, which is also designed to be split, as a result of which cushion parts 111 and 112 are produced. Also in the exemplary embodiment FIG. 7 the pillows 5, 6 and 7 are provided. However, these have a lower surface area compared to the other embodiments. The free space formed therefrom between the cushions is filled on the one hand in the region of the taper 3 by a cushion 12, on the other hand in the rear protection area 2 of two cushions 13. Due to the split design of the pad 11 and the arrangement of additional pads 12 and 13, a longitudinal joint 14 and transverse joints 15 are caused, which improve the mobility of the protective element and thus increase the adaptability to the body.

The protective element and thus the protection areas 1 and 2 and the taper 3 are provided with a surface 10, which in the embodiments of the FIGS. 1 and 2 surrounds the entire protective element on its skin-facing side. In the embodiments of the FIGS. 6 and 7 the surface 10 is provided only in the area of the cushions 5 to 7 and 11 to 13. The surface 10 has a three-dimensional structure made of a knit fabric is made. Various yarns may be used to make the knit fabric. Preferably, these are skin-friendly yarns which also have bacteriostatic, allergen-neutral, odor-inhibiting and antistatic properties.

In the structure of the protection area 1 are in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 Niche 8 formed, which extend into the taper 3. In the embodiment according to FIG. 6 the niches 8 are provided on the cushions 7 and 11. The niches 8 absorb the sweat, channel it and transport the sweat quickly out of the sweat-intensive front protection area 1. In the rear protection area 2 are in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 Formed pockets 9, which represent a honeycomb-like structure in the overall view. They extend in regions in the taper 3. The pockets 9 are also in the embodiments of the FIGS. 6 and 7 available, but in a modified form. In FIG. 6 the pockets 9 are provided on the cushions 5 and 6; in FIG. 7 All pillows are provided with a honeycomb, the pockets 9 forming structure. The pockets 9 contribute to a large distribution of pressure and thus increase comfort. At the same time the skin is ventilated through the pockets 9. Furthermore, the pockets 9 absorb sweat comparable to the niches 8 and help to quickly remove it from the skin. The niches 8 and the pockets 9 therefore contribute to creating a dry skin feel, whereby the mechanical properties of the skin in the affected area are not adversely affected by moisture, so that the risk of injury, especially due to friction is significantly reduced. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1 this effect is achieved by a net-like structure.

The in FIG. 5 illustrated section through a protective element for cyclist pants illustrates their structure. Visible in the front protection area 1, the pad 7 is foamed, whereas the pad 5 shown in section is filled with gel. The filling with gel is provided by a so-called gel pad 18, which essentially has the shape of the pad 5. The shape of the foamed pillow 7 is modeled on a foam pad 19. In the foamed cushion 7 and the foam pad 19 ventilation ducts 16 are provided. The ventilation channels 16 are aligned vertically. They serve for ventilation in the area of the protective element. In this way, the removal of the resulting moisture and exchange with fresh air is further improved.

In FIG. 5 In addition, the three-dimensional structure of the surface 10 in the area of the cushions 5 and 7 is shown. It can be seen that 10 elevations and depressions alternate on the surface, wherein the depressions form the niches 8 or the pockets 9. Comparably, this is also the case with the other cushions 6 and 11 to 13. FIG. 5 It can also be seen that between the pad 5 and the surface 10, an intermediate layer 17 is arranged. The intermediate layer 17 has on the one hand damping properties, on the other hand it promotes the dimensional stability of the protective element.

In the case of the protective element according to the invention, the three-dimensional structure, with its niches 8 and pockets 9 formed therein and filled with air, leads to an "airy" design of the protective element. By significantly improved ventilation in relation to the protective elements known from the prior art, a significantly improved air conditioning is achieved. The air conditioning is additionally improved by the fact that the movements are transmitted to the protective element during cycling. By the resulting alternating pressure on the protective element, a pressure is exerted on the niches 8 and the pockets 9, which are thereby deformed. It creates a kind of pumping effect of the air in the niches 8 and 9 pockets. This leads to an accelerated supply and removal of air and increases the cooling effect. At the same time, it causes an accelerated removal of the moist air, whereby the efficiency is increased. The said effect is additionally increased by the provision of the ventilation ducts 16, since on the one hand this fresh air is conveyed from below into the protective element, on the other hand moist air is transported away at an accelerated rate through the ventilation ducts 16.

In addition, the niches 8 and the pockets 9 offer the possibility of storing fats used by the user of the cycling pants. Unlike, for example, in leather upholstery, where the use of fats may result in closure of the pores, in the protective element of the present invention, the three-dimensional structure is capable of storing the grease in the pockets 8 and pockets 9, respectively Ventilation function is lost because the grease can seep into the niches 8 and 9 pockets.

In addition to the embodiment, it is also possible to provide in the structure - not shown - air ducts that allow further air supply and - removal. The air ducts may on the one hand be arranged directly below the surface 10, on the other hand be woven into the structure.
