Description

Fixation double patte pour la retenue d'une bande faîtière ou d'arêtier
L'invention se situe dans le domaine de la fixation de bandes de protection, recouvrant les zones faîtières ou d'arêtier d'une toiture métallique à joints debout.
Les solutions traditionnelles sont efficaces mais ouvrageuses. Elles nécessitent un savoir faire spécifique et coûteux. On peut citer à titre d'exemple la réalisation de plis en coin de mouchoirs nécessitant un gabarit de découpe associée à l'utilisation de coulisseaux de tête, ou bien la méthode qui consiste à coucher les joints debout et d'en faire un relevé contre un tasseau, à couvrir par une bande de protection dite « couvre-joint ».
Il existe aussi des solutions simplifiées, basées sur l'utilisation de profils Z, habituellement métalliques, servant à maintenir la bande de protection, dont l'inconvénient principal vient de la nécessité d'une fixation traversant la couverture. Cette fixation est généralement constituée d'une vis autoperçeuse avec rondelle étanche auquel s'additionne un joint d'étanchéité complémentaire. L'installation est alors définitive et ne peut être ajustée. L'orientation des profils Z doit être précise et est définie lors du placement, généralement par traçage au cordeau. Ceci de façon à assurer une bonne assise au profil Z coopérant avec la rive de la bande protectrice par réalisation d'une pince.
L'objet de la présente invention est un système de retenue, apte à être mis en œuvre en faitage et en arêtier, de pose facile et permettant d'éviter une fixation traversante. La Fig. 1 illustre l'invention.
Plus précisément, l'invention concerne une fixation métallique double patte pour la retenue d'une bande faitière ou d'arêtier sur une couverture de toiture métallique du type à joint debout, comprenant:
- une première patte (1) formant à l'une de ses extrémités un crochet (2) destiné à être solidarisé au joint debout; - une seconde patte (3) formant à l'une de ses extrémités un crochet (4) destiné à accueillir une rive de la bande faîtière ou d'arêtier; les deux pattes étant articulées autour d'un axe (5) permettant leur rotation respective dans un plan destiné à se situer sensiblement parallèle au plan de la toiture.
La fixation est de préférence pourvue, sur son crochet (2) destiné à être solidarisé au joint debout, d'emboutis (6). Ce dispositif permet de renforcer le blocage de la patte dans le joint debout. Les emboutis, pouvant avoir une profondeur variable, permettent à la fois l'insertion dans le joint debout et le blocage de la patte par serrage progressif. De cette façon, la mise en place de la patte est facilitée et le blocage optimisé.
La fixation peut avantageusement être pourvue, sur son crochet (4) destiné à accueillir une rive de la bande faitière ou d'arêtier, de moyens de retenue (7) pour clipsage sur un repli de ladite rive.
La liaison pivotante entre les deux pattes de la fixation peut avantageusement être réalisée par soyage, c'est-à-dire sans fixation mécanique rapportée.
L'acier inoxydable semble être un choix idéal pour la fabrication de la patte de fixation. Ce matériau offre en effet une bonne compatibilité avec l'alliage à base de zinc qui est typiquement utilisé en couverture de toiture, et garanti une pérennité adéquate.
L'objet de l'invention s'étend également aux couvertures de toiture métallique du type joint debout, munies d'une bande faitière ou d'arêtier fixée à l'aide des pattes telles que celles définies ci-dessus, lorsque celles-ci sont solidarisées aux joints debout à laide de moyens non traversants.
Dans une mise en œuvre particulièrement avantageuse, les crochets (2) sont solidarisés aux joints debout par insertion dans la retombée verticale, c'est à dire perpendiculaire au plan de la toiture, du pli de sertissage desdits joints debout. Cette insertion, du bas vers le haut, se fait de préférence en force, c'est-à-dire en déformant légèrement le joint debout déjà formé. Finalement, l'invention concerne l'utilisation des pattes telles que définies ci-dessus pour la fixation d'une bande faitière ou d'arêtier sur une couverture de toiture métallique du type joint debout à l'aide de moyens non traversants.
II est utile de prévoir une largeur de 50 à 100 mm pour les crochets (2), cette dimension assurant un blocage suffisant. Le blocage peut encore être amélioré par les emboutis tels que ceux définis ci-dessus. La profondeur de ces emboutis peut être comprise entre 0.1 et 3 mm. Lors de la réalisation de la double patte à partir de tôles d'acier inoxydable, on choisira de préférence des épaisseurs allant de 0.3 à 1.5 mm.
Le système offre une résistance mécanique suffisante face aux sollicitations transmises par l'ouvrage. Le blocage est efficace dans le cas d'efforts normaux à la couverture et de glissement dans l'axe du joint debout.
Remarquons que l'orientation du joint debout définit celle de ladite première patte, celle-ci s'insérant dans le repli vertical du joint debout. Or, l'angle entre d'une part les rives de la bande protectrice, et d'autre part les joints debout, est fonction de la géométrie de la toiture. Il est donc nécessaire de permettre la rotation des deux pattes formant la double patte. Ceci est tout particulièrement pertinent lors de la protection d'un arêtier. Une rotation totalement libre, donc sur 360°, serait particulièrement avantageuse. Cette rotation garantit une bonne assise au crochet coopérant avec la rive de la bande protectrice, quelle que soit l'orientation du joint debout par rapport à cette rive.
La nouvelle fixation s'ancre à la toiture par blocage, c'est-à-dire par des moyens simples et non traversants, garants d'une étanchéité parfaite. Contrairement à d'autres systèmes d'attache aux joints debout, il n'est ici nul besoin d'utiliser de la visserie. Une fois rendue solidaire à la toiture, la fixation s'adapte simplement, par rotation, à toutes les géométries habituelles. Le réglage est aisé pendant les opérations de pose. Un démontage peut être réalisé sans endommagement de la couverture. Les figures suivantes illustrent l'invention ainsi que l'art antérieur. Fig. 1 : Double patte selon l'invention.

Exemple de mise en œuvre en faîtage Lors du montage, la double patte est positionnée à une distance du faîtage correspondant à la largeur de la bande de protection. La double patte est insérée en force sous le profil joint debout par frappe horizontale et latérale au moyen d'un marteau ou d'un maillet. Il peut être utile d'utiliser une cale en bois venant se glisser sous la partie verticale du crochet (2) pour faciliter la frappe. On procède de la même façon sur chaque profil joint debout le long du faîtage. L'extrémité de la bande de protection est ensuite insérée par clipsage dans plusieurs crochets (4) à la fois, pour assurer la liaison avec la couverture. Les doubles pattes peuvent être légèrement déplacées par glissement le long de chaque joint debout afin de faciliter l'insertion de la bande de protection. La rive de la bande de protection, qui forme un repli, coopère avec les crochets (4) pour s'engager effacement par clipsage et améliorer le blocage ultérieur.
Exemple de mise en œuvre en arêtier
La double patte est installée comme décrit ci-dessus par insertion en force sous le profil joint debout et à une distance de l'axe de l'arêtier correspondant à la largeur de la bande de protection. Le crochet (4) est positionné par rotation autours de l'axe d'assemblage des deux crochets, de manière à permettre la liaison avec la bande de protection. On procède de la même façon sur chaque profil joint debout le long de l'arêtier. L'extrémité de la bande de protection est ensuite insérée par clipsage dans plusieurs crochets (4) à la fois, pour assurer la liaison avec la couverture. Comme en faîtage, les doubles pattes peuvent être légèrement déplacées par glissement le long de chaque joint debout afin de faciliter l'insertion de la bande de protection. Ici aussi, la rive de la bande de protection, qui forme un repli, coopère avec les crochets (4) pour s'engager effacement par clipsage et améliorer le blocage ultérieur.

Claims

Revendications
1. Fixation métallique à double patte pour la retenue d'une bande faitière ou d'arêtier sur une couverture de toiture métallique du type joint debout, comprenant: - une première patte (1) formant à l'une de ses extrémités un crochet (2) destiné à être solidarisé par des moyens non traverstants au joint debout;
- une seconde patte (3) formant à l'une de ses extrémités un crochet (4) destiné à accueillir une rive de la bande faîtière ou d'arêtier; les deux pattes étant articulées autour d'un axe (5) permettant leur rotation respective dans un plan destiné à se situer sensiblement parallèle au plan de la toiture.
2. Fixation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le crochet (2) destiné à être solidarisé au joint debout, est pourvu de moyens de retenue tels des emboutis (6).
3. Fixation selon les revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce que le crochet (4) destiné à accueillir une rive de la bande faitière ou d'arêtier, est pourvu de moyens de retenue (7) pour clipsage sur un repli de ladite rive.
4. Fixation selon une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisée en ce que l'axe formant liaison pivotante entre les pattes est réalisé par soyage sans fixation mécanique rapportée.
5. Fixation selon une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, réalisée entièrement en acier inoxydable.
6. Couverture de toiture métallique du type joint debout, munie d'une bande faitière ou d'arêtier fixée à l'aide des pattes selon une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisée en ce que les crochets (2) sont solidarisés aux joints debout à l'aide de moyens non traversants.
7. Couverture de toiture métallique selon la revendication 6, caractérisée en ce que les crochets (2) sont solidarisés aux joints debout par insertion dans la retombée verticale du pli de sertissage desdits joints debout.
8. Utilisation des pattes selon une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5 pour la fixation d'une bande faîtière ou d'arêtier sur une couverture de toiture métallique du type joint debout à l'aide de moyens non traversants.
