Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a manipulation recognition system for cash dispensers that can be used in cash dispensers. In this case, the generic cash boxes on a lockable Geldaus- / input port for the cash dispensing and / or cash input in the operating machine located in the ATM operating position.
For security reasons, it is important to know whether the cash dispenser / input port of the cashbox outside the ATM has been opened in an unauthorized manner for the removal of banknotes. It is of particular interest whether a) the cashbox was opened in the period between the filling with banknotes at a bank or a Werttransportunternehmen and their use in an ATM, and b) if the cashbox in the period between removal from an ATM and the official opening opened at a bank or a value-transport company.
In a system of ATM and cashbox in which the Geldaus- / input opening is automatically opened when inserting into the ATM, eg via a slide guide, before reaching the operating position, this opening of the Geldaus- / input port is problematic insofar as this allowed opening by mistake to a manipulation indication at the cashbox leads. Such a tampering instruction would then lead to money cartridges with a Einärbeeinheit that the inking unit is activated in an undesirable manner, which would cause great harm.
The object of the invention is therefore to develop a tamper detection system that can distinguish in a simple and reliable manner between an allowable opening of the Geldaus- / input port of a cashbox inside the ATM and an unauthorized opening outside the ATM.
This object is solved by the features of patent claim 1. The subsequent subclaims contain advantageous embodiments of the invention.
According to the invention at least two, preferably three switches are provided in the cash box, which are each automatically actuated when inserting the cashbox in the ATM. In this case, the switching operation sequence of the at least two switches is evaluated on the basis of predefined criteria for generating a manipulation indication. The unauthorized opening the Geldaus- / input port outside the ATM always leads to a tamper indication and cash cassettes with Einärbeeinheit to an activation of the same, since the predefined Schaltbetätigungsreihenfolge not set in this case. The more switches are used, the more complex is the shift operation order and the more reliable the tamper detection. By using three switches, a very high level of reliability and safety is achieved at a reasonable cost.
Of Sales-Automat).According to the invention, an automatic teller machine is any machine for depositing and / or paying out money using cash cassettes. The term ATM covers both self-service and operated machines, eg so-called automatic cash safes. The generic ATM can also be operated in a commercial enterprise, for example in connection with a payment station as a so-called POS machine (Point Of Sales machine).

In the cash box three switches (S1, S2, S *) are provided, which are automatically actuated when inserting the cashbox (2) in the ATM (1) in a specific, predefined order. In addition, the cashbox has a plug (2A) which is connected in the fully inserted position (operating position) with a mating connector (1C) of the ATM to a power and / or data transmission between the ATM and the cashbox (2) enable. As part of the ATM (1) is still a magnet (1A) shown schematically, whose function will be explained later.

In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the switches S1 and S2 remain in the "on" state after the actuation until the cashbox (2) is in the operating position at the time T stop , what is detected by the plug contact (cash box plug / mating connector of the ATM).
In an alternative embodiment, it is provided that the switches S1 and S2 remain in the "on" state after actuation until the cash out / input opening is closed again after removal from the ATM (1).
In a further alternative embodiment, it is provided that the switches S1 and S2 automatically return to the state "off" after the actuation after a certain time from the state "on".
In this case, a manipulation indication is always generated when the detected Schaltbetätigungsreihenfolge does not correspond to the previously defined system according Schaltbetätigungsreihenfolge. The predefined switching operation order is determined as follows:
Erst die Betätigung des Schalters S1 (Aus → Ein), dann die Betätigung des Schalters S* (Aus → Ein) und dann die Betätigung des Schalters S2 (Aus → Ein).Actuate switch S1 (off → on), then press switch S * (off → on) and then switch S2 (off → on).
In a further developed variant, the predefined reset of the switch (S *) in the switching operation sequence is also interrogated:
Erst die Betätigung des Schalters S1 (Aus → Ein), dann die Betätigung des Schalters S* (Aus → Ein), dann das Rücksetzen des Schalters S* (Ein → Aus) und dann die Betätigung des Schalters S2 (Aus → Ein).Actuate switch S1 (off → on), then operate switch S * (off → on), then reset switch S * (on → off) and then switch S2 (off → on).
The more complex the predefined switching operation order, the more difficult it is to replicate it outside the ATM (1).
In addition, it is intended to interrogate not only the order of the switch operation per se, but also whether it takes place within a predetermined period of time (ΔT). For this reason, a mechanical insertion resistance (not shown) is provided, which must be overcome when inserting the cashbox (2) in time before the operation of the first switch (S1). To overcome the insertion resistance of the operator when inserting the cashbox (2) must spend a certain minimum force, which ensures that after overcoming the insertion resistance for the return of the subsequent Einsetzweges, then the three switches (S1, S *, S2) are operated , a maximum time is not exceeded. In other words, overcoming the insertion resistance causes sufficient momentum, so that the time period between the operation of the first switch (S1) and the last switch (S2) can be reduced to a calculable maximum dimension.
Furthermore, it is provided in one embodiment to also query the time intervals between the individual switch operations.
- fixed sequence of the switch operation and / or reset, duration for the operation of all switches and / or time intervals between individual switch operations.
Through the use of at least one non-mechanically operable switch S * (eg in the form of a Hall switch), which requires to actuate another on the ATM (1) arranged element (eg magnet), the reliability of the tamper detection system is significantly increased because a fraudulent replica of the Schaltbetätigungsreihenfolge accurate knowledge of the magnet, its strength, installation situation and distance to the Hall switch at the time of actuation requires.
In the manipulation detection system according to the invention, the generation of a manipulation indication is used, in particular, to activate a inking unit arranged in the cashbox (2) in order to be able to manipulate (in the cashbox (2) in case of manipulation (= unauthorized opening of the cash out / input opening outside the ATM). rendering ink unusable by inking. Alternatively or additionally, the manipulation indication can also be used to generate an optical and / or acoustic manipulation indication signal on the cashbox (2). The manipulation indication can also be stored as an entry in a manipulation memory (not shown) of the cashbox (2).
In one embodiment of the invention, it is contemplated to use the actuation of one of the three switches (S1, S2, S *) to generate a preliminary tamper indication, this tentative tamper indication being withdrawn if the evaluation of the switch operation order indicates that there is no tampering. Only if the evaluation of the switch operation order shows that there is a tampering, the provisional tamper indication becomes a final tamper indication, which then leads, for example, to the activation of a tinting unit. In particular, the use of the switch (S2) is suitable for generating a preliminary manipulation indication, since the switch (S2) is actuated when the cash dispensing / input opening is already almost completely opened.
The manipulation detection system according to the invention, which is also intended to prevent the generation of an unwanted manipulation indication when inserted into an ATM (1), has the advantage that it also works when the power supply of the ATM (1) fails when inserting the cashbox (2), since the switches (S1, S2, S *) and the evaluation for the tamper detection in the cashbox (2) are arranged, which via an independent power supply, eg via a Battery, features. Thus, a false triggering of the inking unit when inserting the cashbox (2) can be safely prevented even if the power supply of the ATM (1) fails.
