Abstract

The invention relates to a closure for a drinks can having a rotary lid (2) which is fastened at a rivet (5) of the can lid (D) such that it can be rotated over the pouring opening (7) from an opening rotary position into a closure rotary position, and back again, and is designed, at least in certain regions, as a curved snap-action disc (S) which, by virtue of forces acting perpendicularly to the lid-surface plane, can be transferred by bending, and once a pressure point has been overcome, from a stable first state of curvature into a stable second state of curvature, in which the outer periphery (10) of the rotary lid (2) is positioned with a closure pressure against the lid periphery (9) binding the pouring opening (7), and out of which the snap-action disc (S) springs back into its first state of curvature under the renewed action of force.

Description

The invention relates to a closure for a beverage can according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a closure is from the WO 2005/026004 A1 known. At the same time, the lid is arranged on the can lid at the time of completion in the factory, namely welded. If the user wishes to open the can / lid unit for the first time, he must move a tab into which the lid extends into a blocking position in which the lid is definitively released from the can lid. As an independent part, after use, the user can re-insert the lid by hand into the pouring opening.

The present invention has for its object to improve such a beverage can closure in terms of sealing function and operability.

This object is achieved with a can closure of the type mentioned with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

For this purpose, the rotary cover is so connected captively via a groove with the can lid and at least partially formed as a curved snap disk, which is convertible by force perpendicular to the lid mirror plane from a stable first bending state by bending and after overcoming a pressure point in a stable second bending state in which the outer edge of the rotary lid to the pouring opening limiting lid edge applies with increased closing pressure and from which the snap-action disc by renewed force In its first bending state springs back (cracking-frog effect). The sealing tab ensures the sealing function permanently. A further increased closing pressure can be achieved, for example, by virtue of the fact that the rotary cover has a slightly larger outer diameter due to a lower deflection in the second bending state than in the first bending state.

From the DE 298 12116 U1 is a beverage can closure system with a connected via a rivet to the can lid rotary lid and a support which is located in a Aufdrücklasche or combined with the Aufdrücklasche. As a result, the sealing function can not always be permanently guaranteed to the desired extent.

The same applies to the one in the WO 97/36795 A1 shown beverage can closure, in which a non-supportable Aufdrücklasche and a rotary lid associated with it are attached via a rivet to the can lid.

In the post-published, ie to be considered only novelty under Art. 54 (3) and (4) EPC WO 2010/022951 A1 (corresponding DE 10 2008 044 981 A1 ), which is based on the invention of the present inventor, a beverage can closure according to the preamble of claim 1 is proposed in which a mounted on a rivet on the can lid rotary cover is attached as a snap-action disc, which is not secured in the closed position by a push-on.

It is possible according to the invention that the rotary cover in the second bending state, the lid covering the pouring opening slightly overlaps or under engages or engages in this, when the pouring opening limiting lid edge region, for example, groove-like, is formed.

For actuation of the snap-action disc, it is advantageous if the rotary lid is attached to the rivet with a fastening strap which, viewed from the snap-action disc, extends beyond the rivet and around an opposing actuating portion.

The closure rotational position, the rotary lid in particular can be safely taken when at the opposite end of the indenting the Aufdrücklasche a support is hinged, which after pressing the Ausgleßöffnung and turning the rotary lid on the pouring at raised at its opposite end of the Eindrückspitze Aufdrücklasche down in one Notch of the can lid is so latched that brought into its closed rotational position rotary lid is additionally pressed by the Eindrückspitze the Aufdrücklasche to the pouring opening limiting edge of the lid. Also by this measure, a largely secure sealing of the rotary cover is already achieved in the closed rotational position relative to the can lid.

The aforementioned support is preferably formed integrally with the Aufdrücklasche for manufacturing reasons and partially punched out of this. To facilitate the bending of the support of the push-on tab, the support can at its end facing away from the rivet on a Umbuglinie be connected to the push-on tab. For effective latching of the push tab into the lock position, the length of the support is less than about half the length of the push tab and greater than about one third of the length of the push tab. The catch of the can lid, which in all embodiments is preferably provided underneath the press-on tab on the can lid, for example as a rib or as a groove, is in this case about half to one third of the length of the push-on tab, viewed from the end of the push-on tab , In the latched locking position, the angle of the raised Aufdrücklasche to the plane of the can lid mirror is preferably between about 30 and 45 °.

The push-on tab can be attached to the rivet via a fastening tab punched out in some areas from the push-on tab material.

For the sake of simplicity, the rivet and / or the catch are integrally formed from the material of the can lid.

In a further development of the invention, it is provided that in the can lid a guide groove for receiving an expression on the underside of the rotary lid is provided. In this way, the rotary lid can be reliably guided out of its - with respect to the pouring opening - rear opening rotational position in its front locking rotational position, whereby handling is facilitated.

The rotary cover may near the rivet, next to this or on the opposite side of the indenting, have reinforcing beads to better withstand the material stress there.

The simplification of the operation when closing the pouring opening may further comprise the can lid a stop for the rotary lid in the closed rotational position.

The sealing function can be further improved if the rotary cover is at least partially coated, for example on the inside of its edge region.

It also serves to simplify the operation when the outer edge of the rotary lid has one or more wings or similar gripping areas, so that the rotary lid can be grasped more easily for rotation.

The choice of material is in particular to be made so that the material thickness of the can lid preferably between 0.1 and 0.3 mm, in particular at about 0.224 mm, the material thickness of the Aufdrücklasche preferably between 0.15 and 0.35 mm, in particular about 0.265 mm and the material thickness of the rotary cover is preferably between 0.05 and 0.15 mm, in particular about 0.1 mm. For example, the material may be rolled aluminum, optionally with a clearcoat finish.

The invention further relates to a can lid with the above-described closure and to a beverage can with a thus-equipped can lid.

The rotary cover 2 is at least partially formed as a curved snap-action disc S, which can be converted by a force acting perpendicular to the lid mirror plane from a stable first bending state by bending and after overcoming a pressure point in a stable second bending state in which the outer edge 10 of the rotary cover 2 to the the pouring opening 7 limiting lid edge 9 applies a closing pressure and from which the snap-action disc S jumps by renewed force in their first bending state, as shown in the FIGS. 1a to 1d is illustrated in turn. In the in the FIGS. 1a to 1d illustrated embodiment, the snap disc S takes the essential part of the pouring opening 7 and is adapted in its outer contour of the inner edge contour of the pouring opening 7, namely special circular.

The rotary lid 2 overlaps the pouring opening 7 limiting lid edge 9 slightly. When comparing the FIGS. 1a and 1b is clarified that according to FIG. 1a initially with little play in the pouring opening 7 fitting snap disk portion of the rotary cover 2 after bending down according to FIG. 1b circumferentially sealed at the pouring opening 7 limiting lid edge 9 is pressed.

The rotary lid 2 is attached to the rivet 5 of the can lid D with a fastening tab 8. Seen from the snap-action disc S, the fastening tab 8 is extended beyond the rivet 5 by an opposing actuating portion 15. As if from a comparison of Figures 1c and 1d it can be seen, the snap disc S can be converted by pressure from the top of the actuating portion 15 again from its second tightly closing bending state in the first bending state in which the rotary cover 2 can be easily rotated to release the pouring opening 7.

With the invented closure system according to FIGS. 2a and 2b Can beverage cans with a trained as Eindrücköffnung pouring 7 even more reliable close again. The can lid D, which is permanently mortared, for example, on the upper end of an approximately cylindrical can body K, a Aufdrücklasche 1 is connected via a formed on the can lid D rivet 5 by means of fastening tab 8 in the usual way. On the same rivet 5 and a rotary lid 2 is rotatably mounted to the rivets 5 of the can lid D, so that this after opening the pouring opening 7 by lifting the Aufdrücklasche 1 at its end facing away from the pouring opening 7 and by pressing the front Eindrückspitze 6 on the pre-stamped lid closure area can be brought into the closed rotational position. After turning the rotary cover 2 from the in FIG. 2b illustrated opening rotational position in the in FIG. 1 shown closure rotational position under the leadership of an expression 12 on the underside of the rotary lid 2 in a guide groove 11 of the can lid D to the stop 14 of the can lid D can from the outer end of the Aufdrücklasche 1 there hinged hinged support 3 in the direction of the can lid D and in a detent position on a notch 4 of the can lid D are brought. In this locking position, the push-on tab 1 presses with its front indenting tip 6 on the rotary cover 2, which is in the closed rotational position, in order to securely and largely seal it at the spout 7 delimiting it Cover edge 9 to keep under the spring bias of Andrücklasche 1 and the support 3.

In FIG. 1 is indicated by dashed lines, that the rotary lid 2 is partially formed as a snap-action disc S, which can be transferred by force F perpendicular to the lid mirror plane from an upper stable bending state - after overcoming a pressure point - in a lower bending state, in which latter the outer edge the rotating lid 2 is pressed more strongly against the lid edge 9 delimiting the pouring opening 7 than before to produce a sealed closure. The deflection of the snap disc S upward in the initial bending state may be stronger than the deflection of the snap disc S down in the second stable bending state, so that the diameter of the rotary cover 2 in the latter second bending state is slightly larger than in the first bending state, in which the snap disc is arched upwards. By pressing again on the snap disc area of the rotary lid 2 perpendicular to the lid mirror plane, the snap-action disc S can snap back into its upwardly curved initial position.

After drinking from the beverage can, this can be easily reclosed, so that insects and dirt can not penetrate into the inside of the can and due to reliable sealing can not leak out of the can of cans, for example. stowed in a backpack. To reopen the Aufdrücklasche 1 can be easily turned to the side until the support 3 solves the grid 4 and the rotary cover 2 can be transferred after snapping back the snap disc S in its upwardly curved initial position back to its opening rotational position.

Die Ausgießöffnung 7 ist in dem dargestellten Fall kreisrund, sie kann aber auch oval, trapezförmig mit gegebenenfalls abgerundeten Ecken oder sonstigeThe pouring opening 7 is circular in the illustrated case, but it can also oval, trapezoidal with optionally rounded corners or other

In particular, the rotary cover 2 (in a manner not shown) at its outer edge 10 have one or more wings or the like handle elements, so that the rotary cover 2 can be detected to rotate easier.

The material thickness of the Aufdrücklasche 1 may be slightly larger than that of the can lid D, that of the rotary lid 2 is slightly less than that of the can lid D.
