Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a watch case comprising at least one upper glass, a bottom, front and rear edges adapted to be connected to a bracelet, and side edges.
  • the design of the clockwork mechanism also requires taking into account the fact that it will be visible, which can significantly change its architecture.
  • the master watchmaker may prefer to show such or such a piece or movement for technical reasons in order to illustrate his know-how, whereas if the mechanism had been entirely masked, he would probably have conceived differently, in a more traditional way and simpler for example, without this imposed constraint that can become expensive.
  • An object of the present invention is therefore to solve the problems mentioned above with a simple solution to manufacture, ergonomic, easy to use and reliable.
  • WO 2006/077240 discloses the preamble of claim 1.
  • the subject of the present invention is a watch according to the appended claim 1.
  • a watch 1 comprising a housing 10 according to the present invention is represented on the Figures 1 to 34 .
  • this housing 10 comprises at least one upper glass 11, a bottom 12, front and rear edges 13 adapted to be connected to a bracelet 14 and lateral edges 15.
  • the housing 10 is hollow and encloses at least, between the upper glass 11, the bottom 12 and all the edges 13 and 15, a clockwork mechanism 20 (see FIG. figure 31 in particular), powered by a source of energy (not shown), in particular mechanical or electrical.
  • the housing 10 also contains means 22 for indicating the elapsing time, such as hands, connected to the timepiece mechanism 20 by a shaft 23 and in particular indicating the hours and minutes. These needles 22 are placed above a movable and retractable dial bottom 30 which will be detailed below in connection with the Figures 6 to 34 .
  • the dial bottom 30 consists of elongate blades 31 pivoting parallel to each other.
  • the dial bottom 30 comprises two sets of slats 31 mounted and slidably guided, at two opposite longitudinal ends 31a, in two slideways.
  • main parallel 40 formed in the side edges 15 and described in more detail later.
  • each lamella 31 comprises, at its opposite longitudinal ends 31a, coaxial tenons 31b. These tenons 31b together form a pivot axis on itself of each lamella 31 and are adapted to be inserted into the main guide rails 40 to allow sliding movement of each lamella 31 along said slides 40.
  • the two sets of slats 31 forming the mobile dial bottom 30 are adapted to move from a first closed extreme position (see FIG. figures 1 , 7 , 14 and 21 ) in which said slats 31 form, arranged side by side, said dial bottom 30 and completely mask the clockwork mechanism 20 at a second open end position in which said slats 31 are retracted to reveal at least a portion of the clock mechanism 20 from outside the housing (see figures 13 , 20 and 27 ).
  • the slats 31 retract between the bottom of the housing 12 and the clockwork mechanism 20 to reveal it under the glass 11 of the watch, under the needles 22 (see also figure 31 ).
  • the two sets of strips 31 are substantially adjacent to the drive axis 23 of the needles 22.
  • the strip 31 of each group located closest to this axis of drive 23 has a notch 31c surrounding said axis 23 in the closed position of the dial 30.
  • the slides 40 each describe an oval loop and are formed in a respective inner side of the two lateral parallel edges 15.
  • the slats 31 move in opposite directions oriented according to the elongation of the strap 14 to move from the first position to the second position, and vice versa, that is to say along an imaginary line connecting the numbers 6 and 12 of the dial bottom 30.
  • the drive means 50 comprise gears 51 and a handling wheel 52 accessible from a lateral edge 15 of the housing 10.
  • the drive means 50 comprise two parallel transverse shafts 53 disposed respectively close to the front and rear edges 13 of the housing 10 and provided with first internal gears 51a driving the tenons 31b of the lamellae 31, and second external gears 51b arranged on the along a lateral edge 15 and connected on the one hand to said shafts 53 and on the other hand to the handling wheel 52.
  • the wheel 52 by turning the wheel 52 in a first direction F1, the user acts on the external gears 51b which themselves act on the internal gears 51a fixed on the shafts 53.
  • the tenons 31b being in direct contact with the recesses 55 formed in the internal gears 51a, the slats 31 are driven and slide in the sliders 40 to discover more and more the clockwork mechanism 20, in accordance with the Figures 7 to 27 .
  • the wheel 52 in a second direction F2 inverse F1 direction the direction of rotation of the internal gears 51a is reversed and the latter cause the slats 31 to return to the closed position illustrated by the figures 1 , 7 , 14 , 21 and 28 to hide the clockwork mechanism 20.
  • the watch 1 comprises a second set of lamellae 131 arranged under the first set of lamellae 31 constituting the dial bottom 30.
  • These second lamellae 131 move by sliding in slides 140 formed in the lateral sides 15, these second oval slides being parallel and interlocking in the first slides 40 coaxially, each set of slats 31 or 131 sliding in a pair of rails facing each other.
  • the second set of lamella 131 parallel to the first is visible and allows to see other parts 21 of the clockwork mechanism initially masked by the first lamellae 31.
  • the figure 29 illustrates the position in which all the slats 31 of the dial bottom 30 are retracted, revealing the parts 21 of the clockwork mechanism, for example a complex gear structure and chronograph type counters.
  • the figure 30 illustrates an intermediate position in which the second lamellae 131 begin to retract by revealing the clockwork mechanism 20.
  • the figure 31 illustrates a position in which the first and second strips 31 and 31 are respectively completely retracted to reveal the entire clockwork mechanism, including the parts 21 already visible on the figures 29 and 30 .
  • the slides 31 are formed in the front and rear edges 13 so that they are movable in opposite directions oriented perpendicular to the elongation of the strap 14 to move from the first position to the second position, and vice versa.
  • this direction connects the numbers 3 and 9 of the display dial and no longer the numbers 6 to 12 as before.
  • the mechanism 50 is similar to that described in relation to the figure 6 , with the difference that it is arranged on the front and rear edges 13.
  • the Figures 33 and 34 illustrate an alternative embodiment in which the watch comprises a first set of lamellae 312 similar to those of the preceding figures, and a second set of lamellae 231 distributed in four groups preferably sliding simultaneously but guided by intermediate guides 140 carrying for example needles 222.
  • the lamellae 213 of two groups adjoining each other are also separated by a small slot to allow them to pass on either side of the axes of the needles 222.
  • control mechanism of the slats can be replaced for example by belts and pulleys, by trigger or by a crown.
