Claims (12)

  1. Procédé de lubrification d'une chemise de cylindre de moteur diesel marin à combustion interne deux temps donnant une production de puissance d'au moins 1600 kilowatts, avec une composition lubrifiante, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à :
    (1) contrôler une ou plusieurs caractéristiques de performance du moteur ;
    (2) choisir une formulation d'additif pour fournir un indice de base total souhaité à une composition lubrifiante pour modifier les caractéristiques de performance du moteur, la formulation d'additif comprenant un détergent phénate ayant un indice de base total de 30 à 450 ;
    (3) combiner la formulation d'additif de l'étape (2) avec (a) un constituant ayant une viscosité de 2 mm2/s à 12 mm2/s, comprenant une huile de base neutre légère, dans laquelle l'huile de base neutre légère provient d'une huile neuve ou usée d'un système de carter d'un moteur diesel marin 2 temps et éventuellement (b) un constituant ayant une viscosité de plus de 12 mm2/s à 35 mm2/s, comprenant une huile de base neutre lourde ou une huile lubrifiante de base à haute viscosité, pour former une composition lubrifiante ; et
    (4) amener la composition lubrifiante de l'étape (3) au moteur ;
    dans lequel la composition lubrifiante possède un indice de base total d'au moins 10 mg KOH/g ;
    dans lequel le constituant comprenant l'huile de base neutre légère est amené à partir d'un réservoir d'huile dont est doté ledit moteur à combustion interne ; et dans lequel l'huile de base neutre légère est présente à raison de 40 à 99,9 % en poids de la composition lubrifiante.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'indice de base total de la composition lubrifiante est égal à 30 ou supérieur.
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la ou les caractéristiques du moteur couvrent l'usure, la charge du moteur, la variation de l'indice de base total, les dépôts ou la corrosion.
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la formulation d'additif de l'étape (2) est combinée avec une huile de base dans un mélangeur.
  5. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la formulation d'additif de l'étape (2) comprend au moins un autre additif de performance comprenant un épaississant polymère, un dispersant, et agent anti-usure, un détergent ou des mélanges de ceux-ci.
  6. Procédé selon la revendication 5, dans lequel l'épaississant polymère comprend du polyisobutylène ayant une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids Mw de plus de 8000 à 25 000 ou un poly(méth)acrylate ayant une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids Mw de 20 000 à 300 000.
  7. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'huile de base neutre légère est présente à raison de 50 à 99,9 pour cent en poids de la composition lubrifiante ; l'huile de base neutre lourde ou l'huile lubrifiante de base à haute viscosité est présente à raison de 0,01 à 25 pour cent en poids de la composition lubrifiante ; et au moins un additif de performance est présent à raison de 0,01 à 25 pour cent en poids de la composition lubrifiante.
  8. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le phénate contient des sels métalliques neutres et surbasiques d'un phénate contenant du soufre, d'un phénate non soufré ou de mélanges de ceux-ci.
  9. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le phénate possède un indice de base total de 70 à 175 mg de KOH/g.
  10. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la composition lubrifiante comprend 0 à 20 pour cent en poids de l'huile de base neutre lourde ou de l'huile lubrifiante de base à haute viscosité.
  11. Procédé selon la revendication 10, dans lequel un épaississant polymère ayant une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids (Mw) de plus de 8000 est présent en quantité permettant d'avoir une viscosité totale de la composition de 15 mm2/s à 29 mm2/s et dans lequel la composition lubrifiante comprend en outre au moins un additif de performance comprenant : un dispersant, un agent anti-usure, un détergent ou un mélange de ceux-ci.
  12. Procédé selon la revendication 11, dans lequel l'épaississant polymère est présent en quantité permettant d'avoir une viscosité totale de la composition dont le grade de viscosité va de SAE 40 à SAE 60.
