  • the invention is especially suitable for external supplementary insulation of concrete and brick walls. Tests of such walls in cold regions have proven that the relative humidity remains far below 100 % on all points within the wall, thereby avoiding condensation. Such supplementary insulation will also be favourable in warm regions as it is reducing storage of heat within the wall during the day and, thus, is contributing to maintain the indoor temperature at a lower level.
  • the insulating material can be any suitable material other than rock wool mats and that the drainage facilities thereof do not need to be vertical slits or channels. An irregular or uneven outer side of the material can be useful, or the drainage facility can inherently be within the construction of the material. Moreover, the thickness of the insulating material can be varied after requirements.

Abstract

La présente invention une paroi structurelle comprenant un mur autoporteur (1) extérieurement pourvu de lattes (4) destinées à la fixation d'une plaque de base (5) recevant un enduit extérieur de plâtre (10). La plaque de base (5) est constituée d'un matériau composite à base de bois, fait de polyuréthane mélangé à de la laine de bois et présentant un bon pouvoir isolant. Pour tirer profit des propriétés isolantes de la plaque de base et pour obtenir une meilleure résistance au feu de la paroi, l'espace entre les lattes (4), d'habitude rempli d'air, est comblé d'un matelas en laine de roche (7) pourvu d'une structure d'évacuation (8) de l'eau sur la face tournée vers le panneau de base (5).
