Description

The invention relates to a hand shower with a handle arranged on a shower head and a valve which is actuated by rotating the shower head, wherein the shower head has outlet openings through which water can escape with respect to the handle in a predetermined direction.

A hand shower of this type is in the art, for example by the EP-B-0 235 487 known. In this, the shower head can be operated with two different spray types. The shower head is mounted on the handle and is pivoted to change the beam. When swiveling the shower head, however, the shower jet is directed in a different direction. However, this would not be acceptable, especially with a kitchen shower. This also applies to the hand shower after the JP 2007 130614 in which a change of the beam type also results in a change of direction of the beam.

The DE-A-2426469 discloses a shower head, which is rotatably mounted on a fixed connection box. When turning the shower head, the spray mode can be changed. A handle is not provided with this sanitary shower.

Kitchen showers are also known in which the jet type can be switched with an actuating device. In particular, a central beam, the Also known as a hard jet and a shower jet possible. The changeover is usually carried out by pressing a button, a lever or a push button. For hygienic reasons and to avoid contamination, the actuating element is preferably arranged under a membrane. However, such a membrane has only a limited life. The membrane must therefore be replaced after a certain period of time. In addition, the assembly and production of such a membrane is relatively expensive.

In the EP 0 021 860 discloses a shower head in which an outer part of the shower head is rotatable relative to an inner body and a handle such that the flow rate and the number of shared outlet openings are adjustable.

The invention has for its object to provide a hand shower of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned and which is particularly suitable as a kitchen shower.

The object is achieved according to claim 1, characterized in that the shower head for actuating the valve is rotatable about an axis which is substantially parallel to the said predetermined direction of the beam.

With the hand shower according to the invention, actuation of the valve is possible without the direction of the outflowing water with respect to the handle changing in this case. Since the shower head is rotated, no key and no membrane or other actuator is required. There are fewer or even no pollution points. The hand shower can be held with one hand and also be changed with this. It is thus possible a one-hand operation. The valve is preferably arranged in the shower head and designed as a changeover valve and / or shut-off valve. In the case of a diverter valve, a changeover between at least two spray modes is possible. It is also conceivable to switch between more than two types of jet. The valve may be formed by a part of the head in particular of the valve housing and a part of the handle, in particular of the water guide tube be formed. This valve is a diverter valve and / or shut-off valve. In the case of a diverter valve, a changeover between two and more than two jet types is also possible here.

Preferably, the water in the shower head is deflected by a total of about 90 °. A vertical downward beam is then possible by keeping the handle substantially horizontal. In this holding position, the jet can be changed without the direction of the beam changes. Upon actuation of the valve by means of a rotary movement can be dispensed with the hitherto conventional return spring, which allows a simpler and more cost-effective production.

According to a development of the invention it is provided that the shower head preferably has a substantially cylindrical, conical or spherical outer surface and that the handle extends substantially at right angles or inclined to this lateral surface. There are also other head shapes conceivable that are inclined for rotating the shower head relative to the handle. In this hand shower, the flow direction in the handle is substantially perpendicular to the direction of control in the shower head or to the outlet direction of the water. Such a hand shower is particularly suitable as a kitchen shower. It can be held so that the jet exits downwards. Even with a changeover between two spray modes, the outlet jet is then directed downwards.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the shower head has a first outer side with said outlet openings and a second outer side extending substantially parallel and at a distance from the first outer side. In this hand shower, the shower head can be made very compact and rotated to operate the valve. For rotating the shower head is preferably taken on a circumferential surface. The outflow direction of the water then runs substantially vertically to the two outer sides mentioned. Preferably projecting cams, ribs or the like are mounted on the lateral surface, which allow an even safer and easier operation.

For actuating the valve is provided according to a development of the invention that the shower head is limited to rotate about said axis. The angle through which the showerhead can be rotated is preferably less than or equal to 90 °, and preferably less than or equal to 60 °. Such rotation can be done very easily and quickly even with one-handed operation.

If the entire shower head is rotatable, then a valve is possible which requires a movable closure body and also no spring element. In addition, the corresponding cooperating with the closure body sealing means can be omitted. According to a development of the invention it is provided that said predetermined direction in which the water emerges is substantially perpendicular to the flow direction of the water in the handle or that the angle between the two directions at least 80 ° and in particular at least 75 °, more preferably at least 70 ° is. This allows a particularly convenient operation of the hand shower, especially as a kitchen shower.

In the hand shower according to the invention it is provided that the handle has a sleeve which is displaceably supported at a front end on the outside of the shower head. This sleeve is preferably placed on a water guide tube, which has at an outer end a thread on which, for example, a flexible water supply hose can be attached. The sleeve is in particular a decorative sleeve. The support of the front end of the sleeve on the shower head results in a particularly stable construction. This is especially true if a sliding ring is arranged between said front end of the sleeve and the outside of the shower head. This seal allows sealing of the sleeve relative to the shower head and at the same time supports the shower head on this sleeve.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the handle has a water guide tube which has a mouth part at a front end, which engages in an opening of a housing of the shower head and is sealed from a valve housing. This allows a particularly simple and yet secure attachment of the shower head on the handle. Said opening is according to a development of the invention, a slot which extends substantially coaxially to said certain direction of the water outlet. The mouth part is according to a development of the invention depending on the rotational position of the shower head optionally connected to at least one first or a second water channel of the shower head. These two water channels are preferably connected to different outlet openings, for example outlet nozzles. In principle, more than two positions are conceivable. In particular, a position can also be a closing position in which no water flows out of the shower head.

According to a development of the invention it is provided that the valve of the shower head has a closure body which is adjustable between two positions and that the closure body has a control which is rotationally fixed with respect to the handle and is connected to a control curve of the shower head so that when turning of the shower head of the closure body is moved from one to the other position. This allows a comparatively simple structural design and a safe conversion of the closure body.

According to a development of the invention it is provided that for actuating the valve, only an outer housing of the shower head is rotated limited. Preferably, in this case a valve housing is firmly connected to the handle, in particular the water guide tube. The sealing of the water channel relative to the valve housing is comparatively simple and safe.

In the FIG. 1 shown hand shower 1 has a shower head 2, which is arranged on a handle 3. The handle 3 has a water guide tube 4 with a water channel 5. This extends substantially straight from a connecting piece 7 to a mouth 10. The connecting piece 7 serves to connect the hand shower 1, for example, to a flexible conduit not shown here, on the Water channel 5 and finally the shower head 2 water can be supplied. Through the mouth 10, the water can flow into the shower head 2 and leave this through outlet openings 25 or 26 as a jet.

On the water guide tube 4, a sleeve 8 is placed, which is for example cylindrical and forms a decorative part. In a groove 6 of the water guide tube 4, a rubber elastic ring, not shown here, is used, with which the sleeve 8 is sealed from the water supply pipe 4. The shower head 2 consists essentially of a sleeve-shaped outer housing 13 and a valve housing 14 inserted into this. In the valve housing 14, an insert 15 is inserted from below, which can be designed as known per se. It forms nozzle-shaped outlet openings 25 and 26, which are arranged coaxially with respect to an axis A of the shower head 2.

The mouth 10 is formed by a mouth part 11, which engages through an opening 29 of the outer housing 13 radially into an opening 44 of the valve housing 14. In this opening 44 of the mouth part 11 is sealed with a sealing ring 12 relative to the valve housing 14. On the outside of the mouth part 11, a groove 17 is arranged, in which a wedge 16 engages and thus the water supply pipe 4 fixedly connected to the valve housing 14. The wedge 16 is as shown inserted from below into the outer housing 13 and is located between this outer housing 13 and the insert 15. The water guide tube 4 is thus firmly connected to the valve housing 14. At a front end of the grip sleeve 8, a slide ring 9 is arranged, on which the outer housing 13 is supported on the grip sleeve 8. The slide ring 9 is also in the FIGS. 3 and 4 shown. It is comparatively narrow and on the outside substantially flush with an outside of the grip sleeve 8.

The sliding ring 9 is slidably on a lateral surface 28 of the outer housing 13 at. This lateral surface 28 is preferably cylindrical, in particular circular cylindrical, but may also be conical. It extends from an end face 27 to an opening 45 into which the valve housing 14 and the insert 15 are inserted. The lateral surface 28 is in particular coaxial with respect to the outlet direction of the water through the outlet openings 25 and 26. The insert 15 may have a known perlator 43, which forms the outlet opening 26. The direction in which the water exits the shower head 2 is substantially perpendicular to the flow direction of the water in the handle 3 perpendicular to the flow direction of the water in the handle 3 and to a longitudinal extent B of the handle 3. Der but corresponding angle can also be smaller and is preferably at least 80 °, in particular at least 75 ° and more preferably at least 70 °.

On the inside of the outer housing 13 two control cam 34 are formed opposite, as shown in the Figures 2 and 5 to 7 is shown. These two control cams 34 each engage radially in a recess 33 of a control element 30. In the middle of this control element 30, a closure body 18 is fixed, which forms a diverter valve with the valve housing 14. In the in FIG. 1 shown position of the closure body 18 is the closure body 18 with a sealing ring 20 at an upper valve seat 46 at. As a result, an opening to a passage 24 is closed by the closure body 18. A spring element 23 biases the closure body 18 against the valve seat. However, this spring element 23 is not mandatory. Open, however, is a second passage 22 which is connected to the outlet openings 26. Through the water channel 5 incoming water thus passes through the mouth 10 and the through hole 19 via a channel not shown here to the passage 22 and finally to the outlet opening 26. In the other position not shown here, the closure body 18 is located on a rubber-elastic ring 21 of the insert 15th on which forms a lower valve seat 42. The passage 22 is closed with it. By contrast, the passage opening 19 is now connected to the passage 24 so that water can pass from the mouth 10 to the outlet openings 25. Thus, two types of jet are possible; in the first, the jet is formed through the outlet opening 26 and, in the case of the other jet, through the outlet openings 25.

In order to change the closure body 18 from one to the other position and thus to change the jet type, the outer housing 13 according to the FIG. 7 rotated in the direction of arrow 39 or in the direction of arrow 40. The rotation takes place about an axis of rotation, which is simultaneously the longitudinal axis of a rod-shaped connecting part 31 and parallel to the directions of the outlet openings 25 and 26. If the outer housing 13 according FIG. 7 rotated in the direction of arrow 39 or in the direction of arrow 40, the two control cam 34 each act in a recess 33 on the control 30 and lifting or lowering this in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the connecting part 31, in an opening 41 with the control 30th connected is. Because the recesses 33 according to FIG. 6 extend obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the connecting part 31, according to the control element 30 and thus the closure body 18 is displaced either in the direction of the arrow 37 or in the direction of the arrow 38. The direction according to arrow 38 means that in FIG. 5 the closure body 18 is moved downward. In the other direction, the closure body 18 is again in the in FIG. 5 shown position. So that the control element 30 during rotation of the outer housing 13 can not rotate with this, are according to FIG. 7 formed on the valve housing 14 upstanding ribs 32 on which the control element 30 is positioned. The ribs 32 are formed so that the control element 30 for adjusting the closure body 18 in FIG. 2 move up and down, but can not rotate. When switching the valve thus only the outer housing 13 is rotated. In FIG. 6 arrows 35 and 36 indicate movement components of the cams 34. In order for such a rotation to be possible, the opening 29 in the outer housing 13 is designed as a slot which extends limitedly around the circumference of the outer housing 13. This opening 29 limits the rotatability of the outer housing 13. A rotation is preferably provided by less than or equal to 90 °, preferably less than 60 °.

Etwa mittig besitzt die Öffnung 70 eine Rastzunge 71.The FIGS. 8 to 12 show a hand shower 50, which also has a handle 52 and arranged on this shower head 53. The longitudinal extent B 'of the handle 52 is in this case, however, not perpendicular to the outflow direction or the axis A, but extends to this at an angle equal to or less than 90 °, preferably at least 80 °, preferably at least 75 ° and more preferably at least 70 °. The handle 52 has, as in the embodiment mentioned above, a water guide tube 51, on which a grip sleeve 83 is pushed. With a sliding ring 54, the grip sleeve 83 is supported on a lateral surface 55 of an outer housing 61 of the shower head 53. At this grip sleeve 83, the hand shower 50 can be held, the hand engages around this grip sleeve 83. The water guide tube 51 has an orifice 58 in a mouth portion 59 which is integrally formed at the front end of the water guide tube 51 and which engages through an opening 57 of the outer sleeve 61 and an opening 70 of a valve housing 62. The opening 57 is a slot extending in the circumferential direction of the lateral surface 55. The opening 70 is also in Essentially a slot, like the FIG. 10 shows. Approximately in the middle, the opening 70 has a latching tongue 71.

When mounting the mouth part 59 is according to FIG. 10 in the direction of arrow 73 left of the locking tabs 71 inserted through the opening 70 in the valve housing 62. Subsequently, the outer housing 61 is rotated together with the valve housing 62 in the direction of arrow 74 until the latching tongue 71 engages a not shown here cam of the mouth part 59. The shower head 53 is thus connected to the handle 52. However, the shower head 53 can be rotated to change the jet in the circumferential direction of the lateral surface 55 limited. The latching tongue 71 here forms the one stop. The angle of rotation is limited on the one hand by the locking tongues 71 and on the other hand by the opening 70. The possible angle of rotation is preferably less than or equal to 90 ° in this case, and preferably less than or equal to 60 °.

In the hand shower 50, the outer housing 61 is rotated together with the valve housing 62. The outer housing 61 is thus firmly connected to the valve housing 62. The connection may be, for example, a latching connection, not shown here. In the valve housing 62, an insert 15 is also used, which may be formed as already mentioned as usual. In a groove 63, a sealing ring, not shown here, is used, with which the insert 15 is sealed against the valve housing 62. In this case, however, no closure body is provided, which is displaceable between two positions, as is the case with the hand shower 1. But is also provided a ring 66 which seals the insert 15 relative to the valve housing 62 and thus corresponds to the ring 21 with respect to this function. The passage 69 ( Fig. 9 ) through the ring 66 always remains open in this case. Is the shower head 53 in the in the FIGS. 8 and 11 shown position, the mouth 58 is connected to a passage 72 which opens into an inner water channel 68. In this position of the shower head 53, the water thus passes through the outlet opening 26 to the outside. To change the beam type is in FIG. 11 the showerhead 53 is rotated with respect to the handle 52 in a clockwise direction. The passage 72 is thus in FIG. 11 pivoted from the six o'clock position approximately in the half-time position. The mouth 58 is now aligned with a Passage 64, according to FIG. 8 is connected to an outer water channel 67 and is formed by a wall 65 of the valve housing 62. This water channel 67 is in turn connected to the outlet openings 25. This outlet opening 25 are also arranged coaxially to the axis of rotation of the shower head 53. The outflow direction of the water through the outlet openings 25 is thus parallel to the axis of rotation of the shower head 53.

The elongated oval sealing element 60 is according to the FIGS. 8 and 12 inserted into a corresponding recess 76 on the front side of the mouth part 59 and surrounded by a flange 81. The sealing member 60 projects beyond the flange 81 with an in FIG. 12 shown sealing lip 82 which is integrally formed on a wall 80. The sealing lip 82 is formed so that it connects in the two mentioned positions of the shower head 53, the mouth 58 tightly with the passage 72 and the passage 64. For this purpose, the sealing element 60 has a circular passage 79. In the in FIG. 11 Thus, the water flowing in the direction of the arrow 75 can thus only reach the passage 72, but not the passage 64. In the other position, according to the water from the mouth 58 passes only into the passage 64. The sealing member 60 seals the mouth portion 59 also with respect to a guide groove 78, in which the mouth portion 59 is guided. The hand shower 50 has the particular advantage that it can be manufactured with comparatively few and robust individual parts. In particular, can be dispensed with a closure body here. Also conceivable is an embodiment in which the shower head 53 has more than two and in particular three positions or rotational positions. One of these positions may be a closure position in which no water can flow into the shower head 53 through the mouth 58. This position would thus be a shut-off position. In principle, a shut-off position is also conceivable for the valve of the hand shower 1. In the hand shower 50, the handle 52 can also project perpendicularly from the lateral surface 55, as is the case with the hand shower 1. The hand shower 50 is also preferably a kitchen shower. It also allows one One-hand operation. Thus, the hand shower 50 can be taken with one hand on the handle 52 and with two fingers of this hand, the shower head 53 can be rotated and thus the jet type can be changed. So that the shower head 53 can be securely rotated, 55 projecting cams, ribs or the like, not shown here can be attached to the lateral surface. Such means are also conceivable on an end face 56 of the outer housing 61. <B> LIST OF REFERENCES </ b> 1 Handheld shower 29 opening 2 shower head 30 control 3 handle 31 connecting part 4 Water guide tube 32 ribs 5 water channel 33 recess 6 seal groove 34 control cam 7 spigot 35 arrow 8th grip sleeve 36 arrow 9 sliding ring 37 arrow 10 muzzle 38 arrow 11 mouth part 39 arrow 12 sealing ring 40 arrow 13 outer casing 41 opening 14 valve housing 42 valve seat 15 commitment 43 aerator 16 wedge 44 opening 17 groove 45 opening 18 closure body 46 valve seat 19 Through opening 50 Handheld shower 20 poetry 51 Water guide tube 21 ring 52 handle 22 passage 53 shower head 23 feather 54 sliding ring 24 passage 55 lateral surface 25 outlet opening 56 face 26 Outlet opening (perforator opening) 57 opening 27 face 58 muzzle 28 lateral surface 59 mouth part 60 sealing element 74 arrow 61 outer casing 75 arrow 62 valve housing 76 recess 63 groove 77 area 64 passage 78 guide 65 wall 79 passage 66 ring 80 wall 67 outer water channel 81 flange 68 inner water channel 82 sealing lip 69 passage 83 grip sleeve 70 opening A Axis (rotation axis) 71 catch tongue B, B ' longitudinal extension 72 passage 73 arrow
