Description

The invention relates to a mobile sweeper with a housing in which an electric motor driven sweeping roller is rotatably mounted, and with a hopper for receiving debris, wherein on the housing of the sweeping roller adjacent two front support wheels and at a distance to these at least one rear support wheel in each case Rotary axis are rotatably mounted.

Such sweepers are for example from the EP 1 199 971 B1 known. They can be moved along a surface to be cleaned, wherein by means of the sweeping brush debris can be picked up by the surface to be cleaned and transferred to the hopper.

For cleaning of building interior surfaces such sweeping devices have been proven on flat surfaces can usually be achieved a good cleaning result. However, surfaces outside of buildings can often be insufficiently cleaned by means of such sweeping equipment. This is due to the often occurring bumps. These not only complicate a process of sweeping equipment, but there is a risk that the sweeping roller is blocked by bumps or the sweeper unintentionally tilts around an axis aligned transversely to the main direction of movement axis.

Object of the present invention is to develop a sweeping device of the type mentioned in such a way that even when surface irregularities occur no danger that the sweeping roller is blocked or the sweeper tips.

This object is achieved in a mobile sweeper of the generic type according to the invention that the axis of rotation of a first front support wheel coaxial with the axis of rotation of the sweeping roller and - relative to the main movement direction of the sweeping device - offset from the axis of rotation of the second front support wheel.

When sweeping device according to the invention, the axes of rotation of the two front support wheels are offset relative to each other with respect to the main direction of movement of the sweeping device. Namely, the rotation axis of a first front support wheel is aligned coaxially with the rotation axis of the sweeping roller, and the rotation axis of the second front support wheel is positioned offset thereto. This makes it possible to choose a relatively large diameter, at least for the first front jockey wheel, which simplifies the operation of the sweeper on uneven surfaces, without having to provide a large mounting space for the jockey wheel in front of the sweeping roller. Such a mounting space would have the disadvantage that in the main direction of movement of the sweeping device front edge regions of a surface to be cleaned from the sweeping roller could not be detected. The arrangement of the axis of rotation of the first front support wheel coaxial with the axis of rotation of the sweeping roller has the additional advantage that there is no risk that the sweeping roller is blocked by uneven ground, because the arranged flush with the sweeping roller first front support wheel forms a kind of spacer for the sweeping roller, by defining a unique distance between the axis of rotation of the sweeping roller and the surface to be cleaned. There is thus virtually no danger that the sweeping roller of the surface to be cleaned in the case of unevenness approaches too much and then catch the bristles of the sweeping roller with the ground. Also, an increase of the reciprocating resistance of the sweeping roller due to Uneven floors can be avoided. An increased sweeping resistance would have increased power consumption of a sweeping roller driving electric motor and thus heating and loading of the engine result By the arrangement of the first front support wheel in alignment with the sweeping roller of the sweeping resistance of the sweeping roller can be kept low even on uneven ground.

The staggered arrangement of the axes of rotation of the two support wheels makes it possible to select a position in front of or behind the sweeping roller for the second front support wheel, so that tilting of the sweeping device can be counteracted. The arrangement of the second front support wheel offset from the sweeping roller also has the advantage that the first front support wheel facing away from the end face of the sweeping roller can extend to the outer edge of the housing or even beyond. Thus, lateral edge regions of a surface to be cleaned can be reliably detected by the sweeping roller. The sweeping device according to the invention is thus characterized by a very good Randgängigkeit. For example, floor areas which are immediately adjacent to a wall can be cleaned in a simple manner by means of the sweeping roller. The sweeping roller according to the invention thus allows a near-sweeping sweeping.

Preferably, the axis of rotation of the second front support wheel is arranged with respect to the main direction of movement of the sweeping device behind the sweeping roller. This gives the possibility to store the sweeping roller at the front end of the housing.

Preferably, the second front support wheel is arranged immediately behind the sweeping roller. This increases the stability of the sweeper when moving along an uneven surface.

Conveniently, the diameter of the first front support wheel is greater than the diameter of the second front support wheel. The largest possible diameter for the first front jockey wheel improves the driving characteristics of the sweeper. In contrast, a smaller diameter can be selected for the second front support wheel arranged offset to the first front support wheel. This reduces the required mounting space for the second front jockey wheel, without the driving characteristics of the sweeper are significantly affected.

It can be provided that the diameter of the first front support wheel is at least 8 cm, preferably about 10 cm.

The diameter of the second front support wheel is less than about 7 cm in a preferred embodiment of the invention.

In an advantageous embodiment, the diameter of the first front support wheel is at least 1.3 times the diameter of the second front support wheel.

The end face of the sweeping roller facing away from the first front support wheel is preferably arranged transversely to the main direction of movement of the sweeping device at the same height as the second front support wheel. It is particularly advantageous if the end face of the sweeping roller facing away from the first front support wheel is particularly advantageous protrudes beyond the second front support wheel. Transverse to the main direction of movement of the sweeping device thus the second front support wheel is offset in a preferred embodiment of the invention in the direction of the central axis of the sweeping device inwards. This allows a sweeping close to the edges, since the bristles of the sweeping roller can extend laterally to the edge of a floor surface to be cleaned, without being hindered by the second front support wheel.

As already explained, the sweeping device according to the invention has, in addition to the two front support wheels, at least one rear support wheel, which is freely rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation. It is advantageous if the at least one rear support wheel is rotatably mounted on a pivotable about a vertical pivot axis pivot carrier. The at least one rear support wheel thus forms a steering wheel, which simplifies the process of the sweeping device along a surface, in particular an uneven surface.

It is favorable if the sweeping device has two rear support wheels. This avoids the risk that the sweeping device tilts along a surface about its longitudinal axis during the process.

When using two rear support wheels, it has proved to be particularly advantageous if the second front support wheel is arranged transversely to the main direction of movement of the sweeping device between a rear support wheel and the end face of the sweeping roller facing away from the first front support wheel.

In an advantageous embodiment, the at least one rear support wheel has a smaller diameter than a front support wheel. Especially it can be provided that the diameter of the at least one rear support wheel is smaller than the diameter of the second front support wheel.

The sweeping roller is driven in sweeping device according to the invention by an electric motor. The power supply of the electric motor can be done via a supply cable that can be connected to a power supply network or a generator. However, it is particularly advantageous if the mobile sweeper has at least one rechargeable battery. For the operation of the sweeping device, it is then not necessary that a power supply network or a generator is accessible. The use of a rechargeable battery, which is equipped with lithium-ion cells, this has the particular advantage that the battery has virtually no self-discharge. So even if the sweeper remains unused for a long time, it is not always necessary to charge the battery first. Lithium-ion cells also have the advantage that they are less sensitive to cold and that they have a relatively low weight. Moreover, they can be charged within a short time. Due to the aligned arrangement of the first front support wheel for sweeping roller whose sweeping resistance, as already described, be kept low, even on uneven ground. Thus, no large power consumption is required for the electric motor. This in turn prolongs the life of the battery.

In the drawing, a preferred embodiment of a mobile sweeping device 10 according to the invention is shown schematically with a housing 12 surrounding a hopper 14. The hopper 14 is designed in the manner of a drawer and can be pulled out of the housing at the back 16 of the housing, emptied and then pushed back into the housing 12.

Immediately adjacent to the front side 18 of the housing 12, a sweeping roller 20 is rotatably mounted about a rotation axis 21 within the housing. The sweeping roller 20 is rotated by a known per se and therefore not shown in the drawing to achieve a better overview in the drawing. The electric motor is disposed within the housing 12 in a central region in front of an on / off switch 22. Via a belt drive 24, the electric motor is in rotary connection with the sweeping roller. The belt drive 24 comprises, as usual, a pulley 26, which is rotatably held on a rotatably mounted drive shaft 28 and around which a drive belt 30 is guided, which via a two-stage belt transmission and a non-rotatably coupled to the motor shaft pulley (not shown in the drawing) driven becomes. The drive shaft 28 dives over a Driver 32 in a lateral recess 34 of a roller core 36 of the sweeping roller 20 a. About the driver 32, the drive shaft 28 is rotatably connected to the roller core 36 so that it can be rotated by the drive shaft 28 in rotation. From the roller core 36 are in the radial direction a plurality of bristles 38 from the outside, with the aid of a surface 40 can be cleaned.

To move the sweeper 10 along the surface 40, this has a total of four support wheels. A first front support wheel 41 is aligned with its axis of rotation 42 coaxial with the axis of rotation 21 of the sweeping roller 20. The first front support wheel 41 thus acts as a spacer for the sweeping roller 20 and prevents a large sweeping resistance or even blocking the sweeping roller on uneven ground. As a result, the power consumption of the electric motor is kept low and this in turn increases the life of the rechargeable battery 51, which supplies the electric motor with energy.

A second front support wheel 44 is relative to the main movement direction 45 of the sweeping device 10 to the rear offset from the axis of rotation 21 of the sweeping roller 20 and thus also offset from the axis of rotation 42 of the first front support wheel 41. The axis of rotation of the second front support wheel 44 is occupied by the reference numeral 46 in the drawing. Two rear support wheels 48, 49 are positioned at a distance to the front support wheels 41 and 44 in a rear region of the housing 12. A first rear support wheel 48 is disposed below the on / off switch 22, and the second rear support wheel 49 is disposed below the rechargeable battery 51. The battery 51 is equipped with lithium-ion cells, which are characterized not only by a very long life and by a relatively low weight but also by the fact that they have virtually no self-discharge and are little sensitive to cold. The rechargeable battery 51 can be charged within a very short time. It can be provided that the battery 51 is removed from the housing 12 and connected to a separate charging station. However, it can also be provided that the sweeper 10 has its own charging electronics, so that the battery 51 can be recharged within the housing 12, provided that the sweeping device 10 is connected to a power supply network.

On the upper side, a stem 52 is pivotably held on the housing 12, with the aid of which the sweeping device 10 can be moved by the user along a surface 40 to be cleaned.

How out FIG. 4 becomes clear, the sweeping roller 20 protrudes with its the first front support wheel 41 facing away from end face 53 transversely to the main movement direction 45 via the second front support wheel 44. The end face 53 is arranged on an outer wall 54 of the housing 12. As a result, an edge area of a surface to be cleaned can also be detected by the sweeping roller 20. For example, the sweeping device 10 can be moved directly along a wall defining a floor surface, wherein the sweeping roller 20 is arranged at a very small distance from the wall. Out FIG. 4 It is clear that the sweeping roller 20 extends directly to the front side 18 of the housing 12. Thus, even in the main direction of movement 45, a surface can be cleaned up to a very short distance from an end wall. The sweeper 10 thus has a very good Randgängigkeit.

The diameter of the first front support wheel 41, this is in particular from FIG. 4 For example, the diameter of the first front support wheel 41 may be about 10 cm, whereas the diameter of the second front support wheel is preferably about 4 to 6 cm. The diameter of the two rear support wheels 48, 49 is chosen smaller than the diameter of the second front support wheel 44. For example, the rear support wheels each have a diameter of about 4 cm.

The relatively large diameter of the first front support wheel 41 ensures that the sweeping device 10 can be reliably moved even over uneven surfaces, i. Uneven floors can be overcome without difficulty. At the same time it is ensured by the arrangement of the first front support wheel 41 in alignment with the sweeping roller 20, that the sweeping roller 20 has a constant distance to the surface to be cleaned 40, even in the presence of uneven floors. The risk that the sweeping roller 20 is blocked by bumps is thus very low.

63 gelagert. In order to simplify the process of the sweeping device 10 along the surface 40, the rear support wheels 48, 49 configured as steering wheels, which are not only freely rotatably mounted about a rotation axis 56 and 57 but also about a vertical pivot axis 59, 60 are pivoted can. For this purpose, the rear support wheels 48, 49 are each mounted on a pivotable about the respective vertical pivot axis 59 and 60 pivot carrier 62 and 63, respectively.

By means of the sweeping device 10, a surface 40 can be reliably cleaned. This sweeping material from the sweeping roller according to the so-called Überwurfprinzip taken from the surface 40 and transferred to the hopper 14. The direction of rotation of the sweeping roller 20 is selected such that the bristles 38 contacting the surface 40 are moved parallel to the main movement direction 45. This is in FIG. 2 symbolized by the arrow 65, which represents the direction of rotation of the sweeping roller 20. The debris is thus thrown over the sweeping roller 20 in the subsequent hopper 14. It has been found that a particularly good cleaning result can be achieved by such a direction of rotation of the sweeping roller 20.

Due to its good mobility even on uneven surfaces, the sweeping device 10 is particularly suitable for cleaning surfaces outside of buildings. However, the sweeper 10 is not limited to this purpose, of course, building interior surfaces can be cleaned by the sweeping device 10. Both outside of buildings and within buildings can be achieved by the sweeping device 10 a very good cleaning result.
