Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of capping capsules, in particular that of anti-fraud capping capsules for packaging liquid products of great value or of great renown, typically in the field of wines, alcohols, liqueurs or spirits. It relates more particularly to bottle corks containing drinks with a high alcohol content, whose sugar concentration is quite high and for which the horizontal storage before and after first opening is likely to present some problems when they are equipped with an un-refillable device.
  • a large number of patents are already known which describe composite capsules comprising a metal shell and provided with a device providing an anti-fraud or non-refillable function.
  • This device called the refill device, has an axis that coincides with the axis of the neck of the bottle when it is mounted on the bottle. It comprises a non-return valve, in the form of a chamber enclosing a moving part, an axial distribution duct located above said chamber and substantially irreversible fixing means on the neck of the bottle. Once the device is attached to the neck of the bottle, the chamber separates the axial distribution duct from the inside of the bottle.
  • the chamber typically comprises a substantially axial wall whose lower end is secured to a lower lip delimiting a lower orifice and forming a seat to said moving part.
  • the upper end of the chamber is occupied by a perforated transverse wall to allow the passage of liquid to the axial distribution duct.
  • the moving part which generally has a shutter disc or is in the form of a ball, comes, when the bottle is held vertical and straight, to press against said lower lip by gravity and thus closes the lower orifice by preventing the filling of the bottle by the outside.
  • the moving part tends to separate axially from the seat which defines the lower orifice, which releases the latter and allows the passage of the liquid from the inside of the bottle to the outside.
  • the fixing of the filling device on the neck is generally carried out either by depression inside the neck, a cylindrical wall - which may be the substantially axial wall of the chamber - being externally provided with at least one annular fin co-operating with the inner wall of the neck ("in-boron” arrangement), or by overlapping of the mouth of the neck with a fixing skirt provided with a hook or a typically annular bead, fixed on said skirt and cooperating with the attachment zone of the counter ring ("out-bore” arrangement).
  • Patent applications GB 466 474 , WO 00/75033 and GB 1,276,619 describe various non-refill devices comprising a movable axial rod, whose axial displacement is limited between a low position and a high position, which is associated with a shutter such that, when said movable axial rod is in the low position, said shutter closes an orifice which is formed in the chamber and thus prevents, even when said bottle is held horizontally, the flow of the liquid.
  • These devices do not have a transverse wall preventing access to the upper part of the chamber.
  • the Applicant has therefore sought to develop a composite closure capsule provided with an unloading device that remains effective after storage more or less long horizontally, even after first opening, namely that it results from on the one hand a deterioration of the non-refilling function due to a crippling bonding of the movable part on the wall of the chamber and, on the other hand, a loss of the beverage contained in the bottle by leakage, sagging or spraying when unscrewing the capsule.
  • a first object according to the invention is a refilling device intended to be irreversibly fixed to the neck of a bottle intended to contain a liquid and to be closed by a closure cap, said device comprising substantially irreversible fixing means said non-refill device on said neck, a chamber comprising a lower lip surrounding a lower orifice communicating the interior of the bottle with the chamber and trapping a movable piece which forms a valve cooperating with said lower lip, and an axial duct of distribution located above said chamber.
  • This device also comprises a movable axial rod integral with the non-refill device, whose axial displacement relative to said device is limited between a low position and a high position, and at least one shutter cooperating with said movable axial rod so that when said movable axial rod is in the low position, said shutter closes an orifice which is formed in said chamber and prevents, even when said bottle is held horizontally the flow of the liquid.
  • the axial distribution duct is above the chamber in the sense that it is located between the room and the outside of the bottle.
  • the lower orifice is located in the lower part of the chamber in that it is located on the side of the inside of the bottle.
  • the device according to the invention comprises firstly a movable piece forming a valve cooperating with the lower lip of the chamber surrounding the lower orifice and secondly a shutter for closing a hole in the chamber.
  • moving part and shutter designate a single piece and that "lower orifice” and “orifice.” designate a single orifice.
  • other embodiments of the invention, preferred, may have a separate movable part and a shutter, cooperating with separate orifices.
  • said shutter and said orifice cooperate under the direct effect of the axial movement of the axial movable rod, that is to say that the shutter is attached to the axial movable rod or directly driven by it and that the orifice is formed on a transverse wall of the chamber, for example on its upper wall.
  • the non-refill device comprises at least one transverse wall, openwork admittedly to allow the liquid to pass, but which prevents direct access from the outside to the moving part. It may be the upper wall of the chamber or, as reported in WO2006 / 134263 , a protective wall. We will call later "upper transverse wall", the transverse wall of the device, formed in the axial distribution duct or belonging to the chamber, which is exposed to the outside when the bottle is decapsulated.
  • this bore also serves to maintain the axial movable rod and is always closed by the axial movable rod, even in the low position. According to the invention, this bore must always be partially occupied by said axial movable rod: even in the high position, the upper end thereof must not exceed the upper surface of the upper transverse wall.
  • the movable axial rod is held in the low position when a closure cap is fixed on the neck, typically by screwing.
  • the axial rod is positioned in said refill device so that its upper end is brought into contact with a protrusion integral with the closure cap and is driven by it to its lower position, reached when said capsule is fixed on the neck, that is to say, typically, completely screwed on said neck.
  • the rod is secured to the non-refill device but can perform a limited axial movement relative thereto. It is called "axial" in that it is oriented parallel to the axis of the device and moves parallel to this axis.
  • the axial movable rod is unique, its axis coinciding with the axis of the device and moving along the axis of the device. Otherwise, it is preferable to provide the device with a plurality of movable axial rods regularly distributed around the axis. Subsequently, to facilitate the description, we will assume it unique and central.
  • the device is provided with at least one means for holding the rod allowing it to move along its axis.
  • This means may be an axial wall within which the movable axial rod can slide. It may be an axial bore formed in a transverse wall of the non-refill device or the bore of an axial sleeve secured to the device, for example by means of fixing arms.
  • the bore in the upper transverse wall has a large enough diameter, which leaves the passage to a rod, typically an unfolded paper clip, which can easily reach the moving part and move it from its seat, thus allowing a new (fraudulent) filling of the bottle. It must therefore be avoided that this passage is free when the bottle is decapsulated and the best way is to let the upper end of the movable axial rod occupy this passage, even when said movable axial rod is in the low position.
  • the rod must not be able to protrude from the upper transverse wall to prevent the protruding end of the axial movable rod from being easily gripped from the outside to hinder its axial displacement and thus to prevent proper operation of the 'shutter.
  • the bore in said upper transverse wall must therefore have a large height, greater than the axial stroke of the movable axial rod. Since it is unnecessary for the upper transverse wall to be too thick, it is advantageous to fix on said upper transverse wall an axial wall or axial chimney, serving as a means for holding said movable axial rod, the height of which is greater than the limited amplitude. of the displacement of the stem.
  • said chimney extends downward, so as not to exceed the upper surface of the upper transverse wall.
  • the movable axial rod is advantageously provided with an axial abutment shoulder cooperating with the lower end of said chimney. It is placed in the refilling device such that in the low position, the distance d between said shoulder and said lower end of the stack is less than the distance D between the upper end of said movable axial rod and the high end of said chimney.
  • said movable axial rod is held and guided by a second holding means, typically a second axial wall remote from the first, carried by the upper transverse wall.
  • a second holding means typically a second axial wall remote from the first, carried by the upper transverse wall.
  • the second axial wall can be arranged on the upper wall of the chamber.
  • the non-refill device comprises a movable piece, in the form of a ball, separate from the shutter, which is a disc integral with the rod bearing on the periphery of the upper wall of the chamber.
  • the disc has a tendency a little stronger than the ball to adhere against its seat
  • the lower end of the rod is arranged so that it always remains inside the chamber, distant from the ball, when it is in a low position of a certain value, typically at least the radius of the ball, preferably at least the diameter of the ball, so that when the ball is detached from its seat, it comes to strike said end with sufficient energy to help, via the rod, the disc to detach from its seat.
  • Another object of the invention is the assembly of a closure cap and an unloading device as described above, wherein said closure cap is provided with an axial protuberance and wherein said stem axial is placed in said device so that its upper end is brought into contact with said protuberance and is driven by it to its lower position, typically by screwing, during the fixing of said capsule on said neck.
  • Another object of the invention is a composite closure cap comprising a closure cap and an unsupplementable device according to the invention, the assembly being intended to be assembled and fixed to the neck of a bottle during the capping of said bottle, characterized in that said non-refill device is provided with a substantially irreversible fastening means on said neck and a temporary fastening means cooperating with a means for temporarily securing said capsule and in that said capsule is provided with an axial protuberance, the movable axial stem of said non-refill device being placed in said device so that its upper end is brought into contact with said protuberance and is driven by it so that it reaches its position low when said capsule mouth said neck.
  • said securing means are complementary threads of screwing and the movable rod is in its low position when said cap is completely screwed on the refill device.
  • Said closure capsule advantageously comprises a metal shell provided with a head and a metal skirt comprising two parts separated by a line of weakness: a lower part intended to remain attached to the neck of the bottle, for example as a result of crimping on the counter-ring during capping, and an upper part to be separated from said refill device and therefore the bottle, after breaking the line of weakness.
  • said upper part comprises the means of temporary attachment with the refill device which has been anchored on the neck of the bottle: it thus constitutes a removable conventional plugging cap that can be used to reseal the container after first opening.
  • the upper part is directly provided with temporary securing means complementary to that of the refilling device, typically a screw thread.
  • the capsule comprises an insert fixed inside the metal shell provided with said temporary fastening means.
  • the capsule comprises an insert-shutter, typically fixed on the underside of the head of the metal shell, provided with said axial protuberance which drives said movable axial rod towards its lower position and holds it in this position as long as the capsule mouth the neck, that is to say, typically, as long as it is screwed fully on said neck.
  • said temporary fastening means are used initially to assemble the elements of the composite capsule, before it is placed on the neck of the bottle and encapsulated, and in a second step to fix temporarily the conventional plugging capsule resulting from the breaking of the line of weakening.
  • the non-refillable device being driven into the neck of the bottle can not easily itself be provided with means for temporarily fixing the closure cap.
  • these temporary fixing means of the capsule are advantageously located on an insert and the temporary securing function between the capsule and the non-refill device is advantageously filled by said axial protuberance, with, for example, for example, its end which cooperates with an annular bead formed at the top of the chimney or the bore of the upper transverse wall.

  • the figure 1 represents a refilling device 3 intended to be fixed irreversibly to the neck 40 of a bottle.
  • This device has an axis of symmetry 60 which coincides with the axis of the neck when it is mounted on said neck. It comprises substantially irreversible fixing means 360 on said neck, a chamber 300 comprising a side wall 33 and a lower lip 330 surrounding a lower orifice 331 communicating the interior of the bottle with the chamber and trapping a movable member 50 which forms a valve cooperating with said lower lip, and an axial distribution duct 39 located above said chamber. It also comprises a movable axial rod 100, integral with said device, whose axial displacement relative to said device is limited between a low position and a high position.
