Abstract

The method involves rotating a drum (3) with predetermined speed and duration in multiple rotational phases, such that laundry items (8) are moved within the drum. Rotational breaks are given between the rotational phases. The duration of each rotational phase is limited by a water level dropping during the rotational phase. Duration of the rotational breaks is limited by the water level increasing during the rotational phase. The duration of the each rotational phase is defined by time of dropping of the water level from an upper limit value (H) to a lower limit value (L). An independent claim is also included for a washing machine or washer-dryer comprising a housing.

Description

The invention relates to a method for washing a laundry item in a washing machine with a tub, in which a drum is rotatably mounted and driven by a motor, comprising a washing phase, in which an amount of water is admitted into the tub until a predetermined water level is reached, and a plurality of rotational phases in which the drum is rotated at a predetermined speed and duration to move the laundry item within the drum, and wherein there are rotational pauses between each of the rotational phases.

The invention further relates to a washing machine or a washer-dryer with a housing and a therein, vibrating mounted tub, in which a drivable with a motor drum is rotatably mounted, a water inlet valve, a drain device, a detection device for the water level within the tub and a microprocessor Control device adapted to control the water inlet valve and the drainage device and the motor in dependence on the detected water level for carrying out the method described below.

For washing laundry in a washing machine, the laundry is washed in a first phase with heated water with the addition of detergent with slight or strong drum movement, depending on the selected or detected type of washing. In order to achieve a good development of the detergent and a good soil solution, the laundry is usually moved for about 20 to 80 minutes in the washing liquid. Subsequently, the laundry is rinsed, whereby spent washing liquid is pumped out. After rinsing, the laundry is spun to drain it. In this case, however, a stronger washing mechanism is effected at low load due to the approximately equal drum movement, which unnecessarily lengthens the wash cycle and increases the wear of the laundry.

From the DE 43 13 814 A1 For example, a method for washing laundry is known in which the rotational drive time in the washing phase can be varied by means of information about the amount of laundry. Here, the rotational drive time is determined by the ratio of drum rotation to pause is set accordingly. This tunes the washing process more precisely to the load.

From the DE 34 36 786 A1 It is known in a household washing machine with horizontally rotating drum, the rotational speed of the drum depending on the laundry items to be washed adjust. This is assumed in a highly absorbent laundry items from a large load of cooking color washing, with a high speed, for example, 65 1 / min, is set. For a low absorbency item, a lower load is assumed, with a low speed, such as 45 rpm, being set.

However, with these methods, there is still a risk that a highly absorbent laundry item will be subjected to too high a mechanical load at low loading, which may lead to excessive wear or damage.

The invention is therefore based on the object, in a washing or rinsing cycle to provide a good washing or rinsing effect with improved protection of the laundry items to be washed.

Vorteilhafte Ausführungen ergeben sich aus den abhängigen Ansprüchen 2 bis 6.The object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1 and with a washing machine having the features of claim 7. Advantageous embodiments emerge from the dependent claims 2 to 6.

The essential advantage of the method according to the invention is that a simple washing mechanism is provided in a simple manner, which is matched to the laundry items to be washed. The washing effect is not affected by the optimal mechanics entry or even improved at high loadings.

The optimal laundry movement is achieved in that the duration of the individual rotational phases is limited in each case by a sinking during the rotation phase water level and the duration of the rotation breaks is limited in each case by a rising during the rotation break water level. This means that the drive time of the drum is no longer set by the amount of laundry and / or the type of laundry detected at the beginning of the program, but by the amount of liquid in the free liquor during washing. This has the particular advantage that an optimal washing effect is achieved because the mechanical action on the laundry items only takes place until it has bound a large part of the wash liquor due to the suction effect. Subsequently, the rotation break is adjusted until the liquor flows out of the laundry, so that in this time the dirt is discharged from the laundry zw. Rinsed out. These two phases, the suction phase and the Schmutzaustragsphase now alternate several times, the time is determined by the respective water level, so there is no unnecessary waiting. With the method according to the invention, a mixed-composition laundry item can also be optimally washed. For the process, it is not necessary that the composition is known because the drum is rotated in response to the actually occurring suction and discharge behavior of the laundry item. Thus, the drum rotation is adjusted even when changing the suction or exit behavior during the washing phase.

It is expedient that the duration of the respective rotational phase by means of the time of lowering of the water level is set from an upper limit to a lower limit and the duration of the rotation break by means of the time of increase of the water level after the end of the rotational phase or from the lower limit is set to the upper limit. This reliably prevents the laundry item from being subjected to too high a mechanical action and, on the other hand, the breaks are only adjusted until no bound liquor leaves the laundry item. At fixed times, these may be too long, unnecessarily prolonging the entire wash phase, or too short, so that the dirt discharge phase is not completely completed when the drum is moved again, resulting in a poorer wash effect.

In a drum washing machine for the household with a drum volume in the range of 45 to 65 I, it is appropriate that intended for washing or rinsing amount of water of the free liquor has a predetermined water level of about 45 to 80 mmWs and that the low water level by about 5 to 15 mmWs lower than the specified water level. Thus, for almost all occurring in the household items of laundry, such as, among other things, kitchen cotton, easy care, delicates, and load amounts optimal washing results achieved with low water volume.

In an advantageous embodiment, the drum is rotated during the rotation phase at a speed of 25 to 40 1 / min. As a result, on the one hand little energy is used for the drive and on the other hand, a gentle movement of the laundry is achieved.

In an expedient development, the drum is rotated reversing, being rotated during a rotational phase in each case only in a single direction of rotation. As a result, the suction phase is kept quite short due to the suction behavior of moving laundry, resulting in a total of a short and effective washing phase.

Overall, it is expedient to provide a duration of about 30 to 80 minutes for the washing phase. The duration depends on the set pollution, the amount of laundry and the type of laundry.

In Fig. 1 is a purely schematic representation of a washing machine 1, shown with a tub 2. Within the tub 2 a rotatably mounted and driven by an electric motor 13 drum 3 is arranged, which are located in the tub 2 and in the drum 3 garments 8 and 8, respectively. Laundry items moved. The drum 3 is made in the present embodiment of stainless steel and provided with a plurality of openings for the flooding. The housing 4 has a loading opening 9, via which the interior of the drum 3 can be reached through the sealing sleeve 6. The loading opening 9 can be closed by means of the door 5. In the lower region of the tub 2, the water or the washing liquid 7, which is needed for cleaning or treating the laundry 8. For heating or for heating the liquid 7, a radiator 10 is arranged in the lower region of the tub 2. In the upper part of the machine 1, an inlet valve 15 is sketched, which controls the entry of the water from the supply network. About the Einspülkasten 11, the water is passed through the connecting pipe 14 in the tub 2, wherein in the dispenser 11 entered detergent is flushed into the tub 2. Below the tub 2, a drain device 12 is arranged, which brings out the spent washing liquid or the rinse water 7 from the tub 2 to the drain line 16, which usually opens into a sewer. The control device 17 controls the water inlet 15, the activity of the drain device 12 and the drive motor 13, which is energized via the power unit or a frequency converter 18, and the radiator 10. A sensor 19, here a pressure sensor, communicates with the tub 2, to detect the water level, at least a lower limit L and an upper limit H and transmit as a signal or date of the controller 17 so that they correspond to the water inlet and the in Fig. 2a and 2b can control outlined procedures.

In Fig. 2b is the drum speed (speed) in a diagram for a section of the washing phase of a washing cycle or a program for washing laundry 8 (FIG. Fig. 1 ). The duration of the respective phases and sections in time segments is shown here by way of example on the common time axis t.

At time t = 0 is during the washing phase Wa in the tub 2, a water level of about 45 mmWs (45 mm water column). The processes of the Water intake and the wetting phase are not outlined here, but are performed at or before the beginning of the washing phase Wa. From this time t = 0, the rotational phase Ro begins, in which the drum 3 is rotated in one direction of rotation. In this embodiment, the drum 3 is rotated at a speed of 30 1 / min. In Fig. 2a It can be seen that from the time t = 0 the water level of the free fleet decreases. As soon as the water level has reached the lower limit value L, in this example 35 mmWS, the rotation cycle Ro is ended, since further movement of the laundry would no longer have a dirt-dissolving effect. From this time t = 1, so as soon as the lower limit was reached, the rotation pause begins P. The duration of the rotation pause P is also set by the water level of the free fleet, the water level of the free fleet increases when the laundry item is not moved. This phase is also referred to as Schmutzaustragsphase, because the water penetrating from the tissue flooded dirt particles from the tissue in the free fleet. In Fig. 2a It can be seen that from the time t = 1, the water level in the tub 2 increases, and when reaching the upper limit H, which is reached at the time t = 2, the break ends and a new rotation cycle Ro is started. The direction of rotation is in this case opposite to the previous rotation cycle Ro, which is indicated by the indication of the speed = - 30 1 / min. For a laundry lot 8 with highly absorbent laundry turns for the individual cycles of rotation Ro a duration in the range of 5 to 15 sec. and for the rotation break P of about 5 to 15 sec. one. For a laundry item 8, which can not bind a lot of wash liquor, for example, a laundry item 8, for which a easy care or delicates program is provided, set correspondingly shorter times.

In Fig. 2a the rise and fall of the water level are sketched as a linear function, in practice they can also have curved courses. Thus, it often happens that at the beginning of a rotation phase, a greater decrease in the water level level occurs than shortly before reaching the lower limit L. Accordingly, the increase in the water level level at the beginning of the rotation P is stronger than shortly before reaching the upper limit H The method described here does not restrictively refer to water but also to a washing or rinsing liquid provided with detergent or other additives. The rotation phases Ro and rotation pauses P are repeated a plurality of times until a predetermined time for the washing phase WA is reached or a predetermined number of rotation cycles Ro have been performed.
