- the solenoid valve 9 opens As a result, incoming water takes from the detergent chamber 112 stored there with hydrophobic drug and now flows as a highly concentrated liquor in the tub 1. There, this liquor mixes with the already existing and heated water, so that the concentration of the liquor to a for the laundry 7 tolerable level decreases, which no longer represents a danger for otherwise possible staining with high concentrations of active ingredient.
- the drum continues to be driven and combs with its scooping devices 5 vigorously through the now higher (level N V2 ) standing liquor 6. As a result, the laundry, for example, for 20 minutes flooded intensively with hydrophobic brine.
- the drum movement stops and the operation of the drain pump 18.
- the free liquor present in the tub 1 is rapidly sucked through the drain line from the pump 18 and removed.
- the drum drive is then set to spin mode.
- the high speeds are shown compressed because of space. In any case, three centrifugal pulses are recognizable, each with increasing final speeds, is driven by the more and more bound liquor from the laundry. In the last spin interval, the final spin speed can reach 800 rpm.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a hydrophobic effect of textiles in a household washing machine with means for heating a liquor in a tub and for controlling a washing process and with a Waschmittelvorratskammer for storing a single dose of a liquid washing aid, in which method in the liquor dissolved hydrophobic agents during a washing process similar treatment process are brought into contact with the textiles.
Functional textiles such as outerwear, which is worn for protection against moisture from the air, gradually lose their water-repellent property, their impregnation during use. By applying a hydrophobic substance to the textile fibers, this property can be restored. Generally, this treatment of textiles is done in a commercial laundry or cleaning company. Increasingly, however, it is also desired to be able to carry out such treatments in a household washing machine.
Therefore, water repellents are offered in the relevant trade, which are suitable for use in household washing machines for impregnating textiles. Such agents consist predominantly of fluorocarbon resins or paraffin-containing agents. The impregnation is then carried out, as is known, in a standard washing operation in a so-called long liquor, which is characterized in that a relatively large amount of liquor per kg of laundry is used. A recommended amount of the hydrophobic active ingredient is filled before the start of this standard washing process in the main wash chamber of a WaschmittelEinspüleinrichtung and fed together with cold fresh water to the tub of the washing machine. Then, while moving the laundry by rotating the laundry drum, the impregnating liquor is brought into contact with the laundry while being heated in the tub by means of a heater. The duration of this treatment is determined by the program of washing machine control, which among other things, is determined by reaching the predetermined temperature of the impregnating liquor. At the end of the washing process, the laundry is rinsed several times, so that the amount of impregnating agent applied to the textile fibers of the laundry is reduced again. Therefore, the achievable by the known method hydrophobic effect is relatively low.
The invention has for its object to provide a method that is applicable in a household washing machine and in which the achievable hydrophobic effect compared to the prior art is significantly higher.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of
The totality of the above measures significantly increases the hydrophobic effect on the textiles. The high concentration of the active ingredient in the liquor improves the Aufziehverhalten the active ingredient and prevents over long fleets unnecessarily much drug consumption. The introduction of the active ingredient in the already heated liquor prevents stains on the textiles and improves the Aufziehverhalten of the active ingredient on the fiber again. With a treatment time of less than 30 minutes to achieve good results. Longer dwell times waste energy without added benefit. By dispensing with downstream rinses the risk of dilution or washing off of the active ingredient is avoided by the textile fibers.

At the bottom of the
All switchable or controllable devices, such as the
At the end of the phase Ph1 in which the water in the tub is heated to a maximum of 40 ° C. by the heater 13 (which may be the temperature recommended by the textile manufacturer as the treatment temperature), the
At the end of the phase Ph2 - namely in the phase Ph3 - first the drum movement stops and the operation of the
