Definitions
- the invention relates to an edge strip roll or an edge strip strand in the rolled up and transportable state.
- the publication DE-A-31 20 270 discloses an endless veneer strip, in particular a veneer edge band with a carrier, on which veneer is applied, wherein the veneer is applied in the form of strip pieces of constant length in the longitudinal direction of the band-shaped carrier.
- the carrier consists of paper, fleece, textile, plastic or thin metal foil.
- On this carrier are spaced veneer sheets or veneer strip pieces arranged in the longitudinal direction, each having an equal length.
- the final veneer edge bands are obtained by cutting the backing carrying the veneer longitudinally into strips.
- the prerequisite is that veneer strip pieces are applied to the support, which correspond in each case to the length or width dimension of workpieces.
- a mandatory requirement for the manual or automatic further processing of veneer strip pieces, however, is that they are fixed or arranged on the carrier.
- veneer strip pieces generally have a small thickness of about 0.2 to 0.4 mm and are to be applied as individual cut pieces to, for example, end faces of furniture panels.
- the carrier is to be regarded as a mandatory requirement for collecting and arranging the veneer strip pieces.
- the endless veneer strip described must also be guided as a horizontal band to the veneer edge belt conveyors or to the sheathing machines, since the veneer strip pieces are not bendable and the endless veneer strip can not be manufactured or transported as a roll in the sense of an edge strip roll.
- the invention is based on the object of simplifying the storage of companies that produce edgeband rolls or further processing and offer a variety of different edge bands.
- the edge strip roll is provided according to claim 1, which has according to the invention at least two different edge bands.
- the edge band roll according to the invention comprises a defined length, which is composed of different partial lengths of different edge bands.
- a customer eg furniture manufacturer
- edgebandings are no longer stored by the customer, but by the edge band manufacturer.
- the customer only carries out the final assembly. This makes it possible, on the one hand to drastically reduce warehousing at the customer and on the other hand to reduce the area for the production of furniture panels by an enormous reduction of the individual magazines and ultimately to reduce the cost of the customer.
- the finished edge bands are made available to the customer, which in turn performs a separation of the different edge bands on a single role itself, with the same advantages as described above.
- edge bands differ in at least one of the features: decor, geometry, material, consistency, surface property or layer structure.
- edge band roll is intended to include the entire visual and aesthetic appearance of an edge band, which is influenced in particular by an imaging, coloring, patterning, embossing, painting, gloss, etc.
- edge band roll By assembling edge bands with different geometry on an edge band roll, the customer's stocking can be further reduced compared to the conventional solution.
- edge bands with different width and / or thickness can be integrated in an edge band roll, which are then processed in order one after the other.
- the term "material” is intended to include not only the material itself, but also all material properties. With the solution according to the invention, the customer can despite minimal Stocks also offer or process edgebands made of different materials in order to meet the trend towards greater variety of products.
- edgebandings which differ in at least one of the characteristics of consistency, surface property or layer structure, or in any other feature which, according to the conventional solution, requires the stocking of a separate edgeband roll.
- the edge band roll when the edge band roll is formed substantially in one piece.
- the edge band roll comprises a one-piece substrate, which is produced in a uniform basic shade, for example in white.
- different decors are successively applied in a conventional method of digital printing, according to the requirements of the customer.
- the need of one or more customers for edgeband rolls with different properties for example, decor, consistency, surface property or layer structure, can be provided within the framework of production.
- an information medium can be printed, for example a so-called barcode.
- the edgeband roll also makes online production possible, which can be adapted to the exact requirements types or requirements quantities of customers.
- the edge band roll has a transparent or translucent substrate which has on at least one side, advantageously the later back, different decorations which can be applied in the per se known method of digital printing, so that the edge band roll has two different edge bands that differ with regard to the decor.
- any edge band in a variety of designs, textures, surface properties or layer structure can be made of a continuous roll, which is multifunctional attachable to any geometry of furniture panels, for example, since the transparent or translucent basic structure after attachment to the narrow side of a furniture board the actual decor visually appealing, but protected, providing.
- edge bands are arranged lying face to face. If the edge band roll with the different edge bands is formed so that the various edge bands are flush and abutment against each other, the edge bands can take on a particularly compact form when rolled up.
- edge band is positively connected to an adjacent edge band.
- edge strips can be held together in the rolled-up state of the edge strip roll captive.
- opposing free ends of the adjacent edge bands are connected to each other via positive connections with, for example, dovetail-shaped cutouts.
- an edge band is connected in a material-locking manner to an adjacent edge band.
- the cohesive connection proves to be particularly strong.
- the cohesive connection can also be designed such that e.g. can be solved particularly easily by heat, which facilitates the separation process of the edge bands.
- an edge band is positively connected to an adjacent edge band.
- the edge bands can be held together without adhesive.
- the non-positive connection exists only as long as a force acts, the two connection partners pressed against each other and holds together.
- the edge bands are clamped between adjacent layers of the edge band roll.
- the edge bands are then easily detached from one another without separate aids.
- the edge band roll has at least one information carrier which provides at least one information concerning the edge band roll.
- the information carrier can provide information which adjusts and actuates a device for processing an edge strip roll specifically to the respective edge band to be processed. It is particularly within the scope of the invention that information carriers are arranged at the junctions of adjacent edge bands, which "tell" an edge banding machine the next edge band.
- the information carrier has, for example, the form of a glued or fixed fastening element, which triggers a mechanical actuation on the edgebanding machine, or the shape of a in or at the joint joint of the different edge bands applied barcodes, magnetic stripe or an RFID chip.
- a mechanical actuation on the edgebanding machine or the shape of a in or at the joint joint of the different edge bands applied barcodes, magnetic stripe or an RFID chip.
- the information carrier provides electronically, magnetically, optically and / or mechanically readable information.
- Information that is electronically, magnetically or optically readable can be read or recorded contactlessly by a reading device, so that damage to the edge bands by the reading device is prevented.
- An RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip represents e.g. electronically / magnetically readable information ready.
- a barcode / barcode represents e.g. an optically readable information ready.
- a magnetic strip provides magnetically readable information.

- Each edge band / edge band connection can be designed in a form-fitting, non-positive and / or material-locking manner, depending on which type of connection is desired for the preferred application.
- the connection partners i. Edge band 2 and edge band 2 in the edge band / edge band connection form fit into each other.
- connection partners are adhesively and / or cohesively connected, in particular welded, glued or fused.
- connection partners are held together by an acting force, in particular by the force exerted by two adjacent layers of an edge band roll 1 on the intermediate layer.
- each edge band roll 1 has at least one information carrier 4 which provides at least one information concerning the edge band roll 1.
- the information carrier 4 is designed as a magnetic strip, barcode / barcode, RFID chip, as a mechanical element or the like. To provide an electronically, magnetically, optically and / or mechanically readable information that can be read by a reader.
- a Kantenanleimstrom can be set to each edge band to be processed 2 and operated accordingly.
- the information carrier 4 provides information about the length or the end of the edge band 2 to be processed, and triggers a separator when sweeping the information carrier 4 with a scanning device, which separates the adjacent edge bands 2 at the joint.
