Definitions
- the present invention relates to an exterior luminaire with a cylindrical, transparent luminaire housing in which at least one elongate luminous body held therein and end cap terminating on both sides of the luminaire housing.
- Lights of this type are available in various embodiments and for various purposes in the market.
- the end cover at the same time form the electrical socket, while on the socket a fferringani rests with recessed ring seal, which comes to rest on this version sealingly.
- the fferringica is pressed and on the fferringani an overarching screw ring is placed, wherein between the screw ring and the fferringuci a lip seal is clamped, which rests on the cylindrical light housing made of transparent material.
- Such a construction is for bathrooms or washrooms suitable, but designed for outdoor space too little stable.
- the electrical sockets of Enddeckel are not mounted directly on a solid surface and thus a free-hanging construction would be required, this concept is not suitable.
- a similar lamp which in turn has the features of the preamble of claim 1, goes out of the DE-A-4012588 out.
- This luminaire is designed in particular for cold rooms and has a plurality of transparent tubes which surround a fluorescent tube concentrically.
- the heat-insulating effect is particularly important because the luminous efficacy of such fluorescent lamps is significantly dependent on the prevailing ambient temperature and causes low light output at low temperatures.
- the seal is made only by means of a rotating O-ring.
- the outdoor lamp which may have a large longitudinal extent, namely not only in the length of a filament, but also of several such elongated filament, which can be arranged one behind the other.
- the outside light 1 consists essentially of a cylindrical, or tubular, transparent light housing 2, which may have virtually any shape in cross section and in the drawing as a light housing 2 with an approximately square cross-section, whose corners are rounded, is designed. This form is preferred in many applications. Because of the sealing problem, however, this form has not been realized so far for outdoor lighting practically.
- the cylindrical, transparent luminaire housing 2 is closed off at both ends by a first and a second end cover 10 or 10 '.
- the two end covers 10 and 10 ' are identical in construction and differ only in that one side an additional hole is present, through which a current feedthrough sleeve 7 is screwed. The further embodiment of this end cover 10 and 10 'will be explained later in detail.
- each a silicone sealing disc 30 On the two end covers 10 and 10 'are each a silicone sealing disc 30 and this is screwed together between the end cover 10, 10' by means of a counter-plate 20 so that the silicone sealing discs can deform so that it rests sealingly on the inside of the cylindrical lamp housing 2 ,
- the at least one elongated luminous element 3 is connected to one or both sides with a base 4, which forms the mechanical support and the electrical connection with the luminous element 3.
- the base or the base 4 may be mounted on a reflector 6, which in turn are connected by means of a bracket 5 on one side or both sides with the corresponding counter-plates 20.
- the Storm bushing 7 is usually a screw through which a line 8 leads, outside of the outside light 1 in the example 1 shown here, a ballast 9 is arranged.
- a ballast 9 is mounted inside or outside the exterior light.
- a reflector 6 it is also immaterial for the invention whether a reflector 6 is present or not and it is also conceivable that the base 4 and the base 4 are mounted directly or by means of additional brackets on the counter-plates 20.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 as in FIGS. 6 and 7 are each an end cap shown.
- the second end cover 10 ' is shown in the interior view and in a vertical diametral section, while in the FIGS. 6 and 7 the first end cover 10 is shown in the outer view and in the same vertical diametral section.
- the two end covers 10 and 10 ' are identical and differ only by the subsequently mounted threaded hole in the previously mentioned current feedthrough sleeve 7 is screwed.
- the terms first end cover 10 and second end cover 10 'in principle arbitrary.
- the end covers 10 and 10 ' have a base plate 11 which is delimited at the periphery by a peripheral wall section 12.
- the circumferential wall portion 12 is about twice as high as the Thickness of the base plate 11.
- a circumferential groove 13 is formed on the inside.
- This circumferential groove 13, which has a U-shaped cross-section here, is wider than the wall thickness of the lamp housing 2.
- the peripheral groove 13 is laid in such a way that a groove side wall is flush with the inner wall of the peripheral wall section 12.
- the luminaire housing 2 is practically form-fitting, that is, with relatively little play in this circumferential groove 13 immerse.
- the end covers 10 and 10 ' also have on the inside a cam-shaped elevation 14.
- the cam-shaped elevation 14 serves on the one hand to appropriate blind holes 15, with a considerable depth, to install to screw in fixing screws for the holder of the outdoor lamp 1 can.
- the cam-shaped elevation 14 also has a centering function for the correct positioning of the silicone sealing disc 30 and the overlying counter-plate 20. Further, one recognizes in the base plate 11 attached through holes 16, but in the corner regions of the base plate 11 outside the region of the circumferential groove 13 are attached. Through these through holes 16, which are provided on the outside with screw head recesses 17, screws can be carried out by means of which the counter-plate 20 to the end cover 10 and 10 '. can be attracted and thereby the intermediate silicone sealing disc 30 can be pressed together.
- silicone as a sealing disc is particularly useful, this material can be elastically deform well, but is virtually barely compressible. Thus, a high density and a pressing force of the silicone sealing disc to the lamp housing 2 can be realized.
- a silicone sealing disc 30, which in the FIGS. 4 and 5 is shown for yourself.
- the silicone sealing ring 30 corresponds to the external dimension of the inner dimensions of the lamp housing 2. Accordingly, the Insert silicone sealing disc 30 with clearance into the respective end cover 10 or 10 '.
- the silicone sealing disc 30 has a centering opening 31, which is adapted in the shape and the size of the cam-shaped elevation 14. Without this centering possibility, the silicone sealing disk 30 could hardly be placed in the end cover so precisely aligned that the luminaire housing 2 can then be inserted without squeezing the silicone sealing disc 30 therebetween.
- through holes 32 are provided, which are brought into alignment with the through holes 16 in the two end caps.
- a through hole 33 is also mounted centrally above the centering opening 31. This feedthrough hole 33 communicates with the screw hole 18. Through the feedthrough hole 33, the required electrical cables can be pulled through.
- This counter-plate 20 comes to rest.
- This counter-plate 20 is usually made of a solid metal plate.
- the counter-plate 20 also has a centering opening 21, which in turn is designed in shape and size so that the cam-shaped elevation 14 of the end plates can be passed with a certain play. However, this clearance must be small, so that corresponding screws passing through the through holes 16 in the end cap and through the through holes 32 in the silicone sealing disc 30th be passed through, then come in the corresponding threaded holes 22 for engagement.
- a through hole 23 is attached, through which the electrical wires or cables with a corresponding game can be performed.
- this trough-shaped reflector 6 is designed trough-shaped here.
- the side walls of this trough-shaped reflector 6 are inclined and lie with their outer edges on the inner surface of the lamp housing 2 with bias. It makes sense that these outer edges are provided with a bend, so that a flat support is achieved.
- the construction shown here can be virtually any length.
- a connection between the two end covers 10 and 10 ' is not required except for the connection via the lamp housing 2.
- the circumferential wall section 12 also serves to counter-support the luminaire housing 2 when it is pressed outward by the silicone sealing disc 30 during the compression. Consequently, results between the lamp housing 2 and the two end plates 10 and 10 'is a purely positive connection. If one loosens the screws with which the counter-plate 20 presses on the silicone sealing disc, the silicone sealing disc relaxes and the frictional connection is released. Thus, a very simple disassembly for the replacement of the luminous body 3 can be achieved.

On the two end covers 10 and 10 'are each a
The at least one elongated

The end covers 10 and 10 'also have on the inside a cam-shaped
In addition, however, the cam-shaped
For optical reasons, as well as strength considerations, it will be advantageous to choose the
The use of silicone as a sealing disc is particularly useful, this material can be elastically deform well, but is virtually barely compressible. Thus, a high density and a pressing force of the silicone sealing disc to the

On the
Ultimately, the construction shown here can be virtually any length.
