Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Triebzug, der mehrere miteinander verbundene Wagen (1) mit mindestens zwei Drehgestellen (2) aufweist, wobei mindestens einer der Wagen (1) als Motorwagen (3) ausgebildet ist, der mindestens eine Antriebseinrichtung (4) aufweist, wobei mindestens ein weiterer Wagen (1) als Energieversorgungswagen (5) ausgebildet ist, der eine Energieversorgungseinrichtung für Wechselstrombetrieb (6) für mindestens eine Antriebseinrichtung (4) aufweist, wobei mindestens noch ein weiterer der Wagen (1) als antriebsloser Zusatzwagen (7) ausgebildet ist, der keine Antriebseinrichtung aufweist. Um eine erhöhte Flexibilität u.a. hinsichtlich der Antriebsleistung zu erreichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass alle Motorwagen (3) und alle Energieversorgungswagen (5) Bestandteil von Antriebsmodulen sind, die lösbar gekuppelt sind, dass die Antriebsmodule zumindest jeweils einen Motorwagen (3) und einen Energieversorgungswagen (5) mit einer Energieversorgungseinrichtung (6) für Wechselstrombetrieb aufweisen, dass mindestens zwei Antriebsmodule vorgesehen sind, dass die Wagen (1) innerhalb eines Antriebsmoduls fest aneinander gekuppelt sind, dass die Antriebsmodule alle wesentlichen Antriebskomponenten (4,6,10,13) enthalten, und dass aus den Antriebsmodulen und mindestens einem antriebslosen Zusatzwagen (7) durch Aneinanderkuppeln beliebig lange Züge mit mindestens fünf Wagen (1) gebildet werden können, wobei das Aneinanderkuppeln ohne wesentliche Änderungen oder Umbauten möglich ist.
