- a method for achieving this object comprises the measures of claim 1. It has surprisingly been found that with a small proportion of at least one hydrocarbon polymer distillation bitumen hard, in particular hardens or solidifies. This is due to the fact that the addition of the at least one hydrocarbon polymer to the distillation bitumen substantially increases the softening point thereof. As a result, the distillation bitumen can be solidified with only a minor proportion of at least one hydrocarbon polymer. It is enough for this already a smallest amount of at least one hydrocarbon polymer. The hardened distillation bitumen can then be transported in the cold state simply as general cargo, for example in blocks.
- the distillation bitumen acquires thermoplastic properties, allowing it to be reversibly solidified by curing in the cold state. Upon heating, the distilling bitumen becomes soft or liquid again with the at least one hydrocarbon polymer due to its thermoplastic properties.
