Device for contactlessly triggering a cistern valve, comprising a cover plate (6) for covering an inspection opening of a cistern, an electronic control unit (4), an electromagnetic actuator (5) for actuating a cistern valve and a display device (16, 17, 18), a water level sensor for detecting the cistern fill level being connected to the control unit (4), characterised in that a sensor matrix for contactlessly detecting body movements is connected to the control unit (4), the control unit (4) being provided with a memory for storing at least one signal value emitted by the sensor matrix and an evaluation device for comparing a signal value emitted by the sensor matrix with at least one stored signal value associated with a body movement, the cover plate (6) being provided with the display device (16, 17, 18) and the display device (16, 17, 18) being designed to display a triggered flushing and the current cistern fill level.
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the sensor matrix is formed of a plurality of optical electronic elements.
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that the optical electronic elements operate on the basis of infrared light.
  4. Device according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the cover plate (6) is formed by a semitransparent glass plate or plastics plate.

  6. Device according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the evaluation device is formed by a microcontroller circuit.
  7. Device according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that electronic conductor tracks of the control unit and/or electrical contact surfaces of the control unit are laminated onto the back of the cover plate (6).
  8. Device according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the display device is formed by at least one electroluminescent film and/or a plurality of light-emitting diodes (16, 17, 18).
  9. Device according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the display device (16, 17, 18) is arranged on the back of the cover plate (6).
  10. Device according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the actuator (5) is formed as a linear actuator.
