Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connection system having a housing, in which electrical and / or mechanical components can be integrated, at least one positionable on the housing circuit board having at least one circuit board connection for electrical contacting, and at least one fixedly held on the housing contact element to electrical contacting of the PCB connection.
- the terminal box comprises an upper and a lower housing part, which can be assembled to form an integral housing.
- a printed circuit board is accommodated, which has a plurality of conductor webs, which each comprise printed circuit board connections for making electrical contact in the form of web strips arranged perpendicular to the printed circuit board.
- contact elements are provided. These each comprise a base part, at least one contact piece formed on the base part and a clamping piece formed integrally with the base part and in frictional engagement with a contact element.
- Each clamping piece comprises two protruding legs whose free ends are formed into clamping lugs, so that a web strip of a conductor bar can be resiliently and frictionally received between these two legs.
- a disadvantage of this electrical connection system is that the contact elements always encompass the printed circuit board connections from above, which is why the contact elements and the printed circuit board must be arranged one above the other. Accordingly, the freedom of design in the design of the electrical connection system is severely limited.
- the contact element is formed bendable, so that the contacting portion of a mounting position in which it is not in electrical contact with the printed circuit board connection, is movable into a contacting position in which it is in electrical contact with the printed circuit board connection , Due to the bendable design of its contacting end, the contact element needs to be transferred after arrangement of the circuit board to the housing only from the mounting position in the contacting position to electrically connect the contact element with the circuit board.
- the electrical contact can therefore be made easily and conveniently.
- the contact element and the printed circuit board connection within the housing by the inventive design need not be superimposed, but they can also be positioned side by side, whereby a great design freedom in the design of the electrical connection system is achieved.
- the housing is advantageous for reducing the dead weight of plastic or isolated in light metal, in particular produced as an injection molded part.
- the at least one contact element is embedded in the housing and in particular in the housing bottom. Such embedding eliminates an assembly step in assembling the electrical connection system.
- the housing preferably has an opening into which the printed circuit board is inserted at least partially from outside. bar, in particular can be inserted.
- the positioning of the opening is freely selectable in the construction of the electrical connection system according to the invention. For example, it may be formed in the housing bottom.
- the printed circuit board connection preferably has a recess which is open toward an end face of the printed circuit board and into which the contacting section of the contact element engages in its contacting position.
- the contact element is bent from the mounting position into the contacting position such that it is introduced into the recess of the printed circuit board connection.
- the printed circuit board connection is preferably U-shaped.
- the contacting portion of the contact element is expediently substantially H- or C-shaped, wherein the connecting web is insertable into the frontal open recess of the printed circuit board connector.
- the dimensions of the connecting web correspond with the dimensions of the recess in a preferred manner such that a secure and robust electrical contact is ensured.
- the contact elements are designed so that their parallel holding webs on the main surfaces - that is, the top and bottom - come into contact with the circuit board, when the connecting web is inserted into the recess of the printed circuit board connection and held in particular frictionally engaged. In this way, a releasable electrical contact can be generated, so that the circuit board can be easily removed and repaired or replaced by a new circuit board.
- the free contacting end of the contact element in the contacting position can also be soldered to the printed circuit board connection or adhesively bonded using an electrically conductive adhesive.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of an electrical connection system according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the designated in Figure 1 by the reference numeral Il section;
- Figure 3 is a perspective view corresponding to Figure 2 with mounted circuit board, wherein Imaginesabête of contact elements of the connection system are in a mounting position;
- Figure 4 is a view corresponding to Figure 3, in which the contacting portions of the contact elements are in a contacting position;
- Figure 5 is a perspective enlarged partial view of the circuit board connections having portion of the circuit board.
- Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the portion shown in Fig. 5, showing the engagement between the contacting portions of the contact members and the board terminals.
- the electrical connection system 10 comprises a housing 12 with a housing wall 14, which essentially has the shape of a hollow cylinder, and a housing base 16 formed integrally with the housing wall 14.
- Contact elements 18, 20, the electrical contacting sections 22 and 24, protrude into the housing interior 26 wear.
- the contacting portions 22 and 24 are formed substantially H-shaped. They each include two mutually parallel holding webs 25a and 25b and a transverse to this extending connecting web 25c.
- an opening 28 is formed, in which a printed circuit board 30 of the connection system 10 is inserted from the outside so that the circuit board 30 is positively held and slightly protrudes into the housing interior 26, as can be seen in particular in Figures 3 and 4 is.
- the printed circuit board 30 is additionally held in pockets 40 of the housing 12, so that the printed circuit board 30 of the housing 12 seals to the outside.
- upper circuit board front side 31 two printed circuit board terminals 34 and 36 are provided for electrical contacting.
- the printed circuit board connections 34 and 36 are U-shaped or rectangular in shape and inserted into corresponding recesses in the printed circuit board front side 31 in such a way that they respectively define a recess 38 which is open towards the end side 31.
- the contact elements 18, 20 are bent in the direction of the printed circuit board end face 31 in such a way that the connecting webs 25 c of their contacting sections 22 and 24 are cut into the recesses 38 provided on the printed circuit board front side 31 the PCB terminals 34 and 36 engage, so that an electrical contact is made.
- the holding webs 25a and 25b attach themselves to the main surface of the printed circuit board 30, preferably to produce a frictional connection, whereby the contacting sections 22 and 24 are fixed to the printed circuit board 30.
- a releasable connection is produced, which is advantageous in that the circuit board 30 can be disassembled at any time for the purpose of repair or replacement.
- the contacting portions 22 and 24 may also be soldered to the printed circuit board terminals 34 and 36 or bonded using a conductive adhesive.
- the ends of the contacts 22, 24 can be bent so that the circuit board 30 is electrically contacted.
- the printed circuit board 30 has connections 34, 36 for making electrical contact with the ends of the contacts 22, 24.
- the construction according to the invention of contacting with the printed circuit board 30 now makes it possible to electrically contact the printed circuit board with the contacts 22, 24, to secure the printed circuit board 30 in the housing 12 and, moreover, to ensure reliable electrical contacting.
- the printed circuit board 30 can be installed in the direction of the cylindrical configuration of the housing 12, that is to say that the printed circuit board does not have to be aligned flat or parallel to a lower end 16 of the housing 12, as in the case of the customary electrical assemblies. such as switches, controls, sensors or control devices, but can be installed offset by 90 ° to the bottom 16 of the housing 12 in the direction of the cylindrical formation of the housing 12.
- compensation loops 21, 23 are introduced, which are meandering in front of the contacting portions 22, 24 are introduced into the contact elements 18, 20, as shown particularly clearly in Figure 6. Due to the meandering design of the contact elements 18, 20 no mechanical stress on the contact point 34, 36 is exercised, that is, the contacting portions 22, 24 are low-stress or even stress-free in the PCB terminals 34, 36.
- the compensation loops 21, 23 serve the temperature compensation. In the case of large temperature changes, the compensation loops serve to relieve the stress on the printed circuit board connections 34, 36.
- the H-shaped recordable contacting sections 22, 24 enclose the printed circuit board 30 with the webs 25a and 25b between them and thus provide additional stabilization of the contact point.
- the holding webs 25a, 25b thus serve to stabilize and hold the contacting sections 22, 24 on the contact point 34, 36.
- the holding webs 25a, 25b serve to stabilize the position of the printed circuit board 30 in the connection system 10.
- the circuit board 30 is, as shown in Figure 5, coated in the region of the recesses 38 metallically conductive. As a result, the contact with the contact elements 18, 20 is produced.
- a possible alternative is a Kupferkaschtechnik in the region of the recesses 38 on the circuit board 30.
- the circuit board 30 on its front side 32 and the back 33 in the recesses 38 also metallic conductive form or to coat.
- the electrically conductive lining 40 on the front side 32 of the printed circuit board 30 in this case extends substantially over the region of the printed circuit board, which is covered by the retaining webs 25 a, that is, the retaining webs 25 a, as well as the retaining webs 25 b, one with the contact surfaces 40th matching width.
- the contacting sections should, for example, engage in the recesses 38 in a C-shaped manner, in which only the areas in which the holding webs 25a, 25b abut the outer surface 32, 33 of the printed circuit board are electrically coated or formed. It is also conceivable that only one of the sides 32, 33 of the printed circuit board 30 is formed or coated electrically conductive.
- the lamination of the printed circuit board terminals 34, 36 beyond the region of the recesses 38 addition, has the advantage that when a soldered contact between contact elements 18, 20 and circuit board 30, for example, a greater mechanical load on the solder joint of the PCB connections 34,36 is possible.
