Definitions
- the invention relates to a corrugated tube of a fuel line of a fuel supply system of a motor vehicle with a rigid end piece and with a flexible shaft having shaft portion and having a surveys, designed for applying an assembly tool mounting portion.
- Such corrugated pipes are often used in today's fuel supply systems of today's motor vehicles for connecting a fuel pump and are known in practice.
- the corrugated pipe is pushed with the end portion of a usually a Christmas tree profile having a connecting piece of the fuel pump.
- the tail is cylindrical designed for this purpose.
- the mounting portion is disposed between the end piece and the shaft portion.
- the shaft section allows the flexibility of the corrugated tube in the fuel tank and a balance of tolerances of the fuel supply system.
- the mounting portion of the known corrugated pipe is rigid in the axial direction and allows the introduction of compressive forces in the corrugated pipe. This initiation of compressive forces is necessary to postpone the tail to the Christmas tree profile of the fuel pump.
- An assembly tool for introducing these compressive forces grips the mounting portion like a pliers and is supported on the elevations.
- a simple enlargement of the surveys leads to a production-related Approximation of the shape of the waves of the shaft portion and thus to a reduction in the rigidity of the mounting portion in the axial direction.
- An automated gripping the mounting portion is very difficult in the known corrugated pipe.
- the invention is based on the problem, a corrugated tube of the type mentioned so on to form that it can be reliably used with a mounting tool and allows the introduction of high axial forces in the tail.
- one of the elevations of the mounting portion is wave-shaped and projects beyond the other elevations and that the wave-shaped elevation of the mounting portion has a higher stiffness in the axial direction than the waves of the shaft portion.
- the wave-shaped protrusion allows easy finding and gripping of the mounting portion with the mounting tool. Because of the large dimensions of the wave-shaped elevation, the assembly tool is easy to set and reliably aligned with respect to the other surveys. As a result, an automated gripping the corrugated pipe is possible. Furthermore, particularly high forces can be introduced into the mounting section in the axial direction because the wave-shaped elevation has a higher rigidity than the shafts of the shaft section. Thus, the wave-shaped elevation contributes to the stiffening of the mounting portion.
- the proposed positioning of the mounting tool on the mounting portion is particularly simple according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, when a cylindrical guide portion is disposed between the elevations of the mounting portion and the shaft portion.
- the assembly tool with a the Guide section provided corresponding wide edge, which is introduced during attachment of the mounting tool in the guide portion.
- the guide section thus serves as a clearly visible insertion aid for the assembly tool.
- the mounting portion has for the introduction of axial forces in the tail a particularly high stability, when the wave-shaped elevation has a straight on the diameter of the tail facing web.
- the mounting tool supports the web radially outward and thus prevents deflection of the wave-shaped elevation in the radial direction in the axial pressure load.
- the wave-shaped elevation allows a slight bending of the corrugated pipe according to the invention.
- the corrugated pipe according to the invention can be bent particularly uniformly when the wave-shaped elevation is arranged closer to the shaft portion than the other elevations. By this configuration it is avoided that a relatively rigid portion of the mounting portion between the wave-shaped protrusion and the shaft portion is arranged.
- the stiffening of the wave-shaped elevation is structurally particularly simple according to another advantageous development of the invention, when the wave-shaped elevation has at least one depression, which is arranged in the axial direction of the mounting section and guided from a wave crest to a wave valley.
- a uniform axial force transmission from the mounting section into the end section can be easily achieved if several depressions are arranged symmetrically around the circumference of the wave-shaped elevation.
- the corrugated pipe according to the invention can be manufactured particularly cost-effectively, if the end piece, the mounting portion and the shaft portion are made in one piece by forming.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a portion of a fuel tank 1 of a motor vehicle with a fuel supply system 2 arranged therein in a sectional view.
- the fuel supply system 2 is attached to a flange 3 of the fuel tank 1 and is biased with a swirl pot 4 against a bottom portion of the fuel tank 1.
- the fuel supply system 2 is connected to a corrugated pipe 5 with a connection 6 arranged on the flange 3. At the terminal 6 can connect a not shown, leading to an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle flow line.
- the corrugated tube 5 has at its ends in each case an end piece 7, with which it is connected to connecting pieces 8, 9 of the fuel supply system 2 and the flange 3 is connected.
- FIG. 2 shows enlarged the corrugated pipe 5 from FIG. 1 before assembly.
- the corrugated tube 5 has a shaft portion 10 with a plurality of successively arranged shafts 11 and two mounting portions 12.
- the mounting portions 12 have compared to the shaft portion 10 a high rigidity and allow to initiate forces in the axial direction in the end pieces 7.
- the shaft section 10 establishes the flexibility of the corrugated tube 5 under loads in the axial direction and in the bending direction.
- the end pieces 7 and the mounting portions 12 are the same in this embodiment of the corrugated tube 5.
- FIG. 3 shows one end of the corrugated tube 5 from FIG. 1 before the connection to the connecting piece 8 of the fuel supply system 2 in an enlarged sectional view.
- the connecting piece 8 of the fuel supply system 2 has a Christmas tree profile 13, on which the end piece 7 of the corrugated tube 5 is pushed during assembly.
- a pincer-like mounting tool 14 is provided, which surrounds the mounting portion 12 of the corrugated pipe 5.
- the mounting portion 12 has a plurality of elevations 15, 16.
- the shaft portion 10 nearest the elevation 16 is wave-shaped and has an ⁇ at an angle inclined web 17.
- the web 17 is guided by a wave crest 18 of the survey 16 to a diameter of the tail 7 corresponding trough 19.
- the mounting tool 14 supports the wave-shaped elevation 16 radially from the outside and prevents bending in the introduction of axial forces in the tail 7.
- the wave-shaped elevation 16 is substantially larger than the other elevations 15 and has a higher rigidity than the waves 11 of the shaft portion 10th
- a cylindrical guide portion 20 is arranged between the mounting portion 12 and the shaft portion 10.
- FIG. 4 shows a sectional view through the wave-shaped elevation 16 of the corrugated tube 5 FIG. 3 along the line IV - IV. It can be seen that the wave-shaped elevation 16 distributed over the circumference has a plurality of recesses 21. The recesses 21 are guided by the wave crest 18 to the wave trough 19 and stiffen the wave-shaped elevation 16 in the axial direction.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- eine Kraftstoffversorgungsanlage mit einem erfindungsgemäßen Wellrohr,
