Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Prüfung der Funktion eines Tankentlüftungsventils (11) zwischen einem Ansaugtrakt (10) einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) und einem Kraftstofftank (2) oder einem Kraftstoffdampfspeicher (5), bei dem das Tankentlüftungsventil (11) im Betrieb der Brennkraftmaschine (1) mehrmals geöffnet und nach einer kurzen Öffnungszeit wieder geschlossen wird und bei dem während des mehrmaligen Öffnens und Schließens ein zeitlicher Verlauf von mindestens einer vom Öffnungszustand des Tankentlüftungsventils (11) abhängigen Größe aufgezeichnet wird. Um selbst im Fall von sehr kleinen und/oder zeitversetzten Amplituden der zu überwachenden Größe eine zuverlässige Funktionsprüfung des Tankentlüftungsventils (11) zu ermöglichen, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, dass die erste Ableitung des zeitlichen Verlaufs der Größe ausgewertet wird.
