Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement of a snowboard with a binding with front and rear jaws, and a binding plate, wherein the binding plate has a central vertical bearing and at least one, preferably two horizontal bearings.
- Conventional safety bindings usually consist of a front and a rear jaw, between which the ski boot is clamped. Bends the ski, which is unavoidable in normal use, so the distance between the two binding parts changes. As a result, the clamping force transmitted to the ski shoe varies greatly. In extreme cases, it may also happen that the distance between the two binding jaws becomes so large that the ski boot is no longer held in the binding. To avoid these effects, bonds have been mounted on rigid binding plates for some time. These are firmly attached to the ski and prevent deflection in the binding area.
- a disadvantage of these rigid plates is that discontinuities occur in the bending line of the ski due to their high rigidity. This has a negative effect on the handling of the ski, as the free deflection of the ski is obstructed.
- a rigid plate which is provided by means of a horizontal arrangement of a fixed and a movable bearing at a distance from the ski. If the ski bends, neither the horizontal nor the vertical displacements are obstructed.
- a disadvantage of this design according to the prior art is that it comes with the deflection of the ski to a horizontal displacement of the plate. This displacement is proportional to the deflection of the bend. In practice, depending on the deflection of the ski, so depending on the curve speed and curve radius, the positioning of the driver on the ski changes.
- the WO 99/07450 shows a device with a binding plate for a ski, which is characterized in that the binding plate is rotatably mounted about an axis, preferably at its front end in the direction of travel, and with a device for limiting the stroke of the binding plate, with respect to which the binding plate is longitudinally displaceable, is provided. Furthermore, a suspension is provided between binding plate and ski.
- the object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement of snow sliding board, in particular ski, binding and a binding plate, which allows an exact positioning of the force application point above the binding mounting point, which keeps this positioning regardless of the current bending state of the ski and thereby the free deflection of the ski not disabled.
- Spindles rotatably mounted about their axis of rotation are preferably provided both in the rear jaw and in the front jaw, said spindles projecting with their threads into spindle recesses of the binding plate.
- the front spindle and the rear spindle may be rotatably arranged separately from each other or connected to each other to rotate. For connected spindles, it may be advantageous if the front and rear spindles have opposing threads.
- the binding jaws may be fixable to the binding plate with a clamping mechanism.
- Preferably elastic end caps are provided between the binding plate and the ski, wherein the end caps are provided for influencing the bending line of the ski differently hard or their hardness are adjustable.
- Fig.1 shows an arrangement with a ski 1, a binding consisting of a toe 2 and a buttock 3, a binding plate 4, the front spindle 8 and the rear spindle 9, which engage in the spindle recesses 10, and the caps 5. Further can be seen the vertical bearing 6 and the two horizontal bearings. 7
- Fig.2 Shown are the ski 1, the binding plate 4, the pins 14 of the vertical bearing 6, the toe 2, the buttocks 3, the spindle recesses 10 and the closure caps. 5
- Fig. 3 shown schematically. You can see the binding plate 4, the ski 1 and the horizontal bearings 7 and the vertical bearing. 6
- the horizontal bearing has an upper rocker 11 and a lower rocker 13, which are interconnected by a hinge 12, wherein the lower rocker is screwed to the ski 1 fixed by means of screws 21 and the upper rocker 11 in the binding plate 4 along the direction of travel slidably but vertically guided.
- the vertical bearing has in this embodiment two pins 14, which are screwed tightly to the ski by means of the screws 22 and project into the guide recesses 15 of the binding plate 4 ( Fig. 2 ). These recesses are designed such that the pins 14 are movable only in the vertical direction relative to the guide recesses, but have no degrees of freedom horizontally.
- Fig. 1, 2 are further drawn in the binding mounting point 16 and the force application point 17th
- the binding mounting point 16 is specified by the ski and ideally should be introduced into this point, the resultant force of the driver.
- the force introduction point is the point of initiation of the resulting from the driver. Force and is determined by the positioning of the front and rear jaws. As a rule, this is close to the shoe center, the binding mounting point is in the narrowest side of the ski. Binding mounting point 16 and force introduction point 17 should therefore coincide, as in Fig. 1, 2 shown.
- Fig. 4 illustrates the function of the arrangement according to the invention.
- the pin 14 is only vertically displaced by the deflection of the ski in the guide recesses 15.
- the horizontal bearings undergo a horizontal displacement by the relative change in length of the curved ski relative to the rigid plate.
- the upper and the lower rocker 11, 13 experience a relative rotation about the joint 12 to each other. This rotation is due to the fact that change by the bending line of the bent ski, the angle of the plate to the ski in the areas of horizontal bearings.
- Fig. 5 shows a front view of an inventive arrangement with the ski 1 and the binding plate 4, wherein the binding plate longitudinal guide elements 18, in which the guide extensions 19 of the front and rear jaws 2, 3 protrude and thus allow a displacement of the binding elements 2, 3 only in the longitudinal direction. Also shown are the horizontal bearing 7 with the upper and lower Rocker 11, 13, the screws 21, with which the lower rocker is attached to the ski and the horizontal bearing guide extensions 23 which project into the Platten AdjustsausEnglishept 24 and are arranged longitudinally displaceable in this. From the front spindle 8 of the adjusting head is shown.
- Fig. 7 shows a horizontal bearing element with the lower rocker 13 which is articulated via the joint 12 with the upper rocker 11.
- the mounting on the ski as already mentioned above, by means of the screws 22.
- the guide in the plate is ensured by the horizontal bearing guide extensions 23 and the corresponding, not shown here Platten Unitsausappel traditions 24 of the binding plate 4.
- Fig. 8 shows a representation analog Fig. 1 , the difference being that the spindles 8, 9 of the front jaw 2 and rear jaw 3 are connected to each other via a connecting rod 26 to rotate.
- the spindles 8, 9 are in opposite directions. This makes it possible to adjust the binding by turning the adjusting screw on only one of the jaws on the desired shoe size, without adjusting the force application point 7. This is particularly advantageous when the binding often has to be adjusted to other shoe sizes and prevents mistakes in adjusting the binding by the assembly personnel.
- Fig. 5 single-layer structure of the ski can have any structure, be it as a sandwich construction, as a shell construction with foam core or other design.
- Fig. 6 shows the binding area at the toe in longitudinal section.
- the parallel to the binding plate 4 lying spindle 8 has the thread 20, which engages in the spindle recesses 10 of the binding plate 4.
- the same arrangement may also be provided at the buttocks 3, as is to Fig. 8 is described.

Description
The invention relates to an arrangement of a snowboard with a binding with front and rear jaws, and a binding plate, wherein the binding plate has a central vertical bearing and at least one, preferably two horizontal bearings.
Arrangements with binding plates for fastening safety bonds on snow gliding boards and in particular skis have been known for some time. When referring to Schier, this includes all types of snow gliding boards.
- The "longitudinal direction" corresponds to the direction from the rear end of the ski to the ski tip.
- "Horizontal" corresponds to the horizontal plane of the ski lying flat on its tread on the ground.
- "Vertical" corresponds to the direction of the normal vector on the horizontal plane.
- A "horizontal bearing" is defined as a bearing which allows horizontal displacements in the longitudinal direction, but prevents vertical displacements.
- A "bearing" is defined as a bearing which only allows vertical but not horizontal displacements.
Conventional safety bindings usually consist of a front and a rear jaw, between which the ski boot is clamped.
Modern safety bindings have highly complex triggering mechanisms designed to prevent injuries. Also, these safety locks require a constant distance and constant clamping force to be able to act optimally. Again, rigid binding plates offer great advantages and ensure the best possible binding function, regardless of the current bending state of the ski.
A disadvantage of these rigid plates is that discontinuities occur in the bending line of the ski due to their high rigidity. This has a negative effect on the handling of the ski, as the free deflection of the ski is obstructed.

A disadvantage of this design according to the prior art is that it comes with the deflection of the ski to a horizontal displacement of the plate. This displacement is proportional to the deflection of the bend. In practice, depending on the deflection of the ski, so depending on the curve speed and curve radius, the positioning of the driver on the ski changes.
