  • the variable length struts 52 each include a hydraulic cylinder which can be controlled by a ROV. For example, so-called "hot stabs" may be provided in a ROV interface panel for ROV-controlled activation of the hydraulic cylinders.
  • the pile guide 10 further includes a releasable anchor 60 for anchoring the base frame 12 to the surrounding substrate 40.
  • the anchor 60 comprises blade 62 mounted on arms 64 which are pivotally coupled to the base frame 12. Hydraulic pistons 66 are pivotally coupled at each end to the base frame 12 and the arms 64. As the pistons 66 extend, the blade 62 is urged into the substrate 40. Thereafter, if the pistons contract, the blade 62 is retracted from the substrate 40.
  • the pile guide member 10 may be deployed on an inclined underwater substrate 40.
  • the pile guide member 16 may be initially orientated to guide a pile 20 substantially perpendicularly to the inclined underwater substrate 40.
  • the variable length struts 52 may be used to rotate the pile guide member 16 about pivot axis AA, forcing the pile 20 into a vertical orientation (dragging the pile guide 10 along the inclined underwater substrate 40 as it does so). Once in the vertical orientation, the pile 20 may be driven fully into the inclined underwater substrate 40.
  • anchor 60 obviates the need to initially orientate the pile guide member 16 in such a way as to guide the pile 20 substantially perpendicularly to the inclined underwater substrate 40.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de guidage de pieu pour supporter un pieu lorsqu'il est enfoncé dans un substrat, lequel dispositif comprend un bâti de base comportant une surface d'engagement de substrat plane ; et un élément de guidage de pieu monté sur le bâti de base, l'élément de guidage de pieu étant configuré pour guider un pieu dans une direction prédéterminée à travers celui-ci lorsqu'il est enfoncé dans un substrat. L'élément de guidage de pieu est monté pivotant sur le bâti de base, un mouvement de pivotement de l'élément de guidage de pieu faisant varier la direction prédéterminée par rapport à la surface d'engagement de substrat plane du bâti de base.

Claims (14)

  1. Guide de pieu (10) pour soutenir un pieu au fur et à mesure qu'il est enfoncé dans un substrat, comprenant : un cadre de base (12) présentant une surface plane à engagement de substrat (14) ; et un élément de guidage de pieu (16) configuré pour guider un pieu suivant un sens prédéterminé à travers celui-ci au fur et à mesure qu'il est enfoncé dans un substrat, l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) étant monté de façon pivotante sur le cadre de base (12), alors que le mouvement de pivotement de l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) fait varier le sens prédéterminé par rapport à la surface plane à engagement de substrat (14) du cadre de base (12), caractérisé en ce que l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) est monté de façon pivotante sur le cadre de base (12) à l'aide d'un axe-pivot unique (AA) lequel est fixe par rapport au cadre de base (12).
  2. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) est apte à se déplacer de façon pivotante par rapport au cadre de base (12) entre une première position (30) et une seconde position (32), alors que les première et seconde positions sont espacées dans le plan angulaire d'au moins 30° environ.
  3. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 2, dans lequel la première position (30) est sensiblement perpendiculaire à la surface à engagement de substrat (14).
  4. Guide de pieu (10) selon une revendication précédente quelconque, comprenant en outre un dispositif de blocage libérable (50) destiné, en utilisation, à empêcher tout mouvement de pivotement de l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) par rapport au cadre de base (12).
  5. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 4, dans lequel le dispositif de blocage libérable (50) comporte un étai à longueur variable (52) lequel est couplé de façon pivotante entre l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) et le cadre de base (12).
  6. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 5, dans lequel l'étai à longueur variable (52) est entraîné hydrauliquement.
  7. Guide de pieu (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre un ancrage libérable (60) destiné, en utilisation, à stabiliser la position du guide de pieu (10) lors de l'enfoncement du pieu.
  8. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 7, dans lequel l'ancrage libérable (60) est couplé de façon pivotante au cadre de base (12), alors que l'ancrage libérable (60) est déployé/libéré grâce au mouvement de pivotement par rapport au cadre de base (12).
  9. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 8, dans lequel l'ancrage libérable (60) est positionné sur un côté latéral de l'axe-pivot unique (AA) de l'élément de guidage de pieu (16).
  10. Guide de pieu (10) selon la revendication 8 ou la revendication 9, dans lequel le mouvement de pivotement de l'ancrage libérable (60) est entraîné hydrauliquement.
  11. Procédé permettant d'enfoncer un pieu (20) dans un substrat incliné (40), comprenant les opérations consistant à : mettre à disposition le guide de pieu (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10 ; positionneer le cadre de base (12) du guide de pieu (10) sur le substrat incliné (40) ; et déplacer de façon pivotante l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) par rapport au cadre de base (12) autour de l'axe-pivot unique AA de sorte que l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) soit configuré pour guider le pieu (20) dans le substrat qui est sous-jacent au cadre de base (12) suivant un angle aigu par rapport au substrat (40) lors de l'enfoncement du pieu.
  12. Procédé selon la revendication 11, comprenant en outre les opérations consistant à : positionner initialement l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) afin de guider le pieu (20) suivant une orientation non verticale, l'orientation non verticale étant choisie pour réduire ou éviter les forces générées par l'enfoncement d'un pieu suivant une orientation verticale qui sollicite le guide de pieu (10) vers le bas dans le substrat incliné (40) ; et enfoncer partiellement le pieu (20) dans le substrat incliné (40) avant de déplacer de façon pivotante l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) afin de guider le pieu suivant un angle aigu lors de l'enfoncement ultérieur du pieu.
  13. Procédé selon la revendication 11 ou la revendication 12, comprenant en outre les opérations consistant à : munir le guide de pieu d'un dispositif de blocage libérable (50), et bloquer l'orientation de l'élément de guidage de pieu (16) par rapport au cadre de base (12) lors de l'enfoncement du pieu,
  14. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 13, comprenant en outre les opérations consistant à : munir le guide de pieu (10) d'un ancrage (60), et ancrer le guide de pieu (10) au substrat (40) lors de l'enfoncement du pieu.
