Definitions
- Thrust washer and radial-axial bearing with such
- the invention relates to a thrust washer in the form of a semicircular flange with at least two, preferably at least three arranged at its radially inner edge in the circumferential direction, radially inwardly directed connecting straps for positive connection with a radial bearing part and a radial-axial bearing with a radial bearing part and with this connected thrust washer of the aforementioned type.
- radial-axial bearings are used in engine construction as crankshaft bearings or the like.
- the radial bearing part may be formed as a semi-cylindrical bearing shell or as a socket.
- built bearings of the radial bearing part and the thrust washer are latched by means of appropriately difficultstaltete tabs on the thrust washer and corresponding holding openings on the radial bearing part with each other form-fitting and captive.
- Embodiments of such built bearings are known for example from DE 33 45 652 A1 or DE 41 40 277 A1.
- the assembly of the bearings requires a special tool or a specially set-up automatic assembly machine.
- the assembly is therefore often carried out under manual intervention.
- the connecting straps and / or holding openings have complicated and thus manufacturing technically complex geometries that ensure a secure connection between the two components in the latched state.
- the radial-axial bearings are welded together.
- the radial bearing part has in this design frontal recesses, in which the connecting straps of the thrust washer are used in the axial feed direction.
- a bearing half shell usually has a spread, d. H. their basic shape is not semi-circular in contrast to the thrust washer.
- the spread is canceled when installing the half bearing in the designated bearing seat of a bearing housing or -deckeis. Previously, however, the spread must also be at least partially canceled when assembling the bearing shell with the thrust washer until the connecting straps and the recesses are aligned.
- the thrust washer and the bearing half shell are not permanently connected to each other in this design after merging, they are connected to one another after merging at one or more points of the outer periphery of the bearing half shell by welding.
- DE-OS 25 28 576 A1, DE-OS 24 12 870 A1 (the latter without explicit reference to a welded joint) or WO 2005/090803 A1 referenced.
- WO 2005/090803 A1 teaches, for example, to provide a radially inwardly directed projection for welding the thrust washer to the radial bearing part at the radially inner edge of the thrust washer, wherein the welded joint is designed as a predetermined breaking point, which breaks up in the proper use of the radial-axial bearing.
- a special mounting device is required, which is a despreading of Bearing half shell provides, and a specially arranged for the axial feed of the thrust washer assembly machine is required.
- bearing shells which provide a connection tab, which is arranged circumferentially offset from a center line of the thrust washer to preclude an accidentally wrong orientation of the thrust washer during assembly with the radial bearing part.
- the welded radial-axial bearings are all the connection tabs directed radially inwardly such that their circumferentially inner and outer edges are approximately radially.
- at least the circumferentially outer connecting straps with respect to a direction parallel to the center line of the thrust washer undercuts.
- This causes the thrust washer can be assembled only in the axial feed direction with the radial bearing part.
- DE 198 25 117 A1 discloses a flange bearing shell with a thrust washer whose outer connecting straps are aligned parallel to the center line of the thrust washer and engage in corresponding holding openings of the radial bearing part. More specifically, both the edges facing the centerline and the edges facing away from the centerline are parallel to the centerline. This allows a radial feed of the thrust washer for assembling the radial-axial bearing.
- the thrust washer according to the invention further developed in that the outer circumferential connecting straps facing away from the center line edges (outer edges), which extend radially.
- the imaginary center line of the thrust washer facing edges (inner edges) of the outer connecting tabs still form no undercuts with respect to a feed line parallel to the center line.
- This includes connecting straps with geometries in which the edges facing the center line are preferably parallel to the center line, rounded outwards or beveled.
- the key here is that the centerline facing edges of the connection tabs have no undercuts with respect to the center line and thus to a radial feed direction along the center line. This makes it possible to radially feed the thrust washer during assembly with the radial bearing part. This movement is automatically easier to implement.
- the tabs are thus inserted into corresponding holding openings of the radial bearing part perpendicular to the bearing axis without latching and the bearing half shell does not have to be despread for this purpose.
- the tab geometry according to the invention allows a flat end face of the radial bearing part without end-side recesses, since the thrust washer with its connecting straps can also be inserted radially from the outside into slot-shaped holding openings in the lateral surface of the radial bearing part.
- the position of the thrust washer relative to the radial bearing part is in slit-shaped holding openings in the axial direction and thus completely determined. An exact positioning and fixation of the two components is therefore ensured without special mounting device.
- the geometry of the outer edge ensures that the thrust washer rests over the outer edges of the connecting straps in the installed state of the bearing form-fitting and flat against the corresponding outer side edges of the holding openings.
- the thrust washer is supported during the rotational movement of the counter-rotor in the one as in the other direction in each case via one of the two outer edges against the radial bearing part.
- the advantageous frictional connection is ensured in this geometry of the outer edge even when the corresponding holding opening is punched radially in the radial bearing part.
- holding openings with radially extending side walls are relatively simple in terms of production engineering and, in particular, can also be inserted in far outward angular regions of the bearing shell by punching. Far outside and thus further apart connections between the thrust washer and the radial bearing part improve the positive support.
- a central connection tab is provided, which is arranged offset in the circumferential direction to the center line.
- the orientation of the thrust washer relative to the radial bearing part is unmistakably determined.
- the edge of the center connecting link facing the center line of the thrust washer preferably also does not form an undercut and particularly preferably runs parallel to the center line.
- the facing edge is also to be understood as the edge of the middle connecting link which is closer to the center line.
- one end face of the outer connecting straps which connects the inner edge to the outer edge is arranged substantially tangentially.
- This tangential end face facilitates the threading of the connecting plates of the thrust washer in the holding openings of the radial bearing part during assembly, in particular when the bearing shell has a spread.
- the thrust washer is connected according to an advantageous embodiment of the radial-axial bearing with the radial bearing part by means of a welded joint.
- the welded connection is preferably carried out by laser welding or spot welding.
- this welded joint is designed as a predetermined breaking point, which breaks at the initiation of a certain tangential force.
- the welded joint thus serves as a temporary connection for the transport and to simplify the assembly.
- a small axial and radial clearance between the thrust washer and the radial bearing part is desired. That is why the break rigid connection during operation and the thrust bearing (the thrust washer) and the radial bearing part are released for a relative movement. Therefore, the welding parameters are to be set so that the welded joint does not withstand the forces in the tangential direction exerted by the torque at the start of the counter-rotor (crankshaft or the like).
- a design of the welded joint must be determined depending on the application, bearing size, contact surface between counter-rotor and thrust washer, material combination (bearing material and counter-rotor), etc.
- the thrust washer is welded to the radial bearing part in the apex region and particularly preferably arranged on a radially inwardly directed at its radially inner edge approach.
- the welded connection is preferably arranged here.
- FIG 1 shows an embodiment of the invention
- Thrust washer; 2 shows the thrust washer according to the figure 1 during the
- the thrust washer 10 has the shape of a semicircular flange and has at its radially inner edge 12 three circumferentially spaced and radially inwardly directed connecting straps 14, 18 and 20.
- the circumferentially outer connecting tabs 14 and 20 each have edges or inner edges facing the imaginary center line "A" (strictly speaking, surfaces) 15 and 19, respectively, which run parallel to each center line A.
- the middle connecting tab 18 is offset from the center line A. This results in an asymmetry which excludes interchanging or twisting of the thrust washers during assembly with the radial bearing part 20 as shown in Figure 2.
- the central connecting link also has an edge 17 facing the center line A, which runs parallel to that center line A. Also, this edge thus forms no undercut with respect to the feed line 30 parallel to the center line A.
- the installation situation is shown schematically in FIG.
- the thrust washer 10 is radially, ie more precisely parallel to the center line A, a radial bearing element in the form of a bearing half-shell 20 fed.
- No edge of the three connecting tabs 14, 18, 20, in particular none of the center line A facing edges form an undercut with respect to the feed direction 30. Therefore, the tabs without Verklinkung and thus without overcoming an inhibition in corresponding holding openings 24, 26 and 28 of the Bearing half shell 22 are introduced.
- the thrust washer 10 is fixed by means of a welded joint 31 as possible in the region of the center line A on the bearing half shell 22 for the transport and assembly of the radial-axial bearing. More precisely, this purpose is a shoulder 32, which is machined out of the steel of the thrust washer and which is welded to the outer circumferential steel back (not explicitly shown) of the bearing half shell, preferably the front side. Since the bearing shell at the front usually has a running surface of a sliding layer or bearing layer material of other composition, which is not usually suitable for welding, this layer material is removed in the region of the approach. This has happened in the embodiment in the form of a cleared groove 34.
- the holding openings 24, 26, 28 are formed in the bearing half-shell 22 in the form of open-sided recesses or in the form of slits surrounded on all sides.
- the geometry and dimensions of the connecting straps 14, 18, 20 and the holding openings 24, 26, 28 is further selected so that the thrust washer, in particular in operation, in each direction of rotation in each case with an outer edge 13, 21 of the outer connecting plates 14, 20 and with an equally oriented edge 16, 17 of the central connecting plate 18 is supported against the respective corresponding side edges of the holding openings (torque support).
- the radially inwardly extending surfaces of the outer edges 13 and 21 and the approximately radially inwardly extending surfaces of the edges 16 and 17 lie flat against the associated surfaces of the side edges of the holding openings and form the best possible form fit for initiating the forces acting in the circumferential direction.
- the retaining apertures designed in this way can be radially punched out in a production-technically simple manner, even if they are arranged very far outside, for example in angular ranges greater than or equal to 25 °, preferably greater than or equal to 30 ° or greater than 35 ° with respect to the center lines A. This geometry again improves the torque support.
- the two connecting straps 14 and 18 also each have an upper inner edge 15 or 19 with the outer edge 13 and 21 connecting end face 36 and 38, respectively. This extends substantially tangentially to an imaginary circle around the center of the thrust washer 10. The slope formed by the tangential end face (with respect to the feed direction 33) facilitates facilitating threading the tabs in the corresponding holding openings 24 and 22 during assembly without despreading of the radial bearing part 22.
- connecting straps prove to be advantageous. With only two connecting straps (or even only one) is used at least in one direction of rotation only one edge for torque support, which then forms a fulcrum around which unwanted tilting moments can arise. This effect and associated wear does not occur at two circumferentially spaced abutment edges.
- the thrust washer according to the invention also operate with two connecting straps, of which at least one connecting strap is not arranged in the center about the center line and has a facing edge, which does not form undercuts. Also, four or more connecting straps are possible, which provide a correspondingly increased number of edges for torque support.
- the thrust washer can according to the invention be fastened in the same way to a bush.
- two thrust washers would be assembled in the manner described from radially opposite directions with the bushing to form a full-complement thrust bearing ring.
- Thrust washer radially inner edge outer edge outer connecting link of the center line facing edge outer edge of the center line facing edge middle connecting link of the center line facing edge outer connecting strap outer edge of semi-cylindrical bearing shell
