Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The invention relates to a lowerable door seal according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

A generic door seal is for example off EP-A-0'509'961 known. The door seal is preferably arranged in a groove of a lower edge of the door leaf and can be automatically lowered by means of its actuating rod when the door is closed, or raised again when it is opened. The door seal has a guide rail, a sealing body which can be raised and lowered relative thereto and a drive or actuating mechanism with at least two leaf springs for lowering and lifting the sealing body. The leaf springs are connected at a first attachment point with the actuating rod, at a second attachment point with the sealing body and at a third attachment point with the guide rail.

Out EP-A-338'974 Furthermore, a lowering seal is known, which has a sealing body with a carrier rail and a one-piece sealing lip arranged thereon. The Sealing lip has over the attachment point upwardly projecting legs, which abut while lowering sliding on the inside of the guide rail.

In FIG. 1 shows how a seal according to EP '974 is equipped with the drive mechanism described above. The carrier rail is denoted by the reference numeral 2, the second attachment point by 8 ', the guide rail by the reference numeral 1 and the third attachment point by 8 " FIG. 1 can be seen, the seal is relatively high, so that two leaf springs 5, 9 can be attached.

Also the off EP-A-1'138'865 known seal also requires a relatively large amount of space for the attachment of the drive mechanism.

Lower door seals are for example off DE 299'12'962 U and DE-A-4'304'155 known. However, this low construction is obtained at the expense of the lateral sealing performance, which is not available or only slightly thanks to very short sealing lips.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a lowerable door seal, which has a low height and still seals sufficiently laterally.

This object is achieved by a door seal with the features of patent claim 1.

The inventive door seal has a downwardly open U-shaped guide rail, a in the guide rail (1) arranged sealing body, a drive mechanism for lowering and raising the sealing body relative to the guide rail and an actuating rod. The drive mechanism is mounted in the assembled state at a first attachment point on the actuating rod, at a second attachment point on the sealing body and at a third attachment point on the guide rail. The third attachment point is arranged lower than an upper end of the sealing body. The sealing body has a carrier rail and a sealing element arranged thereon, wherein the sealing element extends at least in the raised state between the rib and an outer leg of the guide rail (1) and wherein in the raised state of the sealing element, the third fastening point is arranged lower than an upper end this sealing element.

In a preferred embodiment, this is achieved in that the guide rail has at least one downwardly projecting inner rib, which serves as a fastening point for a drive mechanism for lowering and lifting a sealing body.

As a result, a gap between the inner rib and an outer leg of the guide rail is created, in which a sealing element, in particular a leg of a one-piece sealing lip, can extend.

Thanks to the inner rib can be particularly according to the seals EP 0'338'974 make shorter, without the lateral legs of the sealing lip must be shortened. However, the invention is not limited to this seal.

In a preferred embodiment, the drive mechanism can engage in this attachment point. The guide rail has for this purpose a downwardly open, preferably downwardly expanding, recess into which the drive mechanism from below can be inserted and latched in its upper position. This type of fastening can, as stated in claim 12, also be used in lowerable door seals according to the prior art, in which this attachment point is arranged on an outer limb of the guide rail.

Further advantageous embodiments will become apparent from the dependent claims.

Wege zur Ausführung der ErfindungWays to carry out the invention

In this text, location details are referred to as below and above on the preferred method of installation of a lowerable door seal, in which the door seal is arranged in a groove in a lower edge of the door. However, other methods of installation, for example on an upper edge or a side edge of the door, should not be ruled out. The location details are to be transferred analogously in this case.

In the FIGS. 3a and 3b is part of an inventive lowered door seal shown. It consists essentially of a guide profile 1, a sealing body 2, 3 and a drive mechanism with at least one actuating rod 4 and at least one spring element 5, 9. The spring element 5 is preferably an elongated, flat and arcuate leaf spring, also referred to below as bending spring. In the example shown here, at least one bending spring 5 and a base spring 9 is present. The base spring 9 is, as in FIG. 6 can be seen, attached to the actuating rod 4, preferably welded to it. The bending spring 5 is fixed to the base spring 9. Depending on the length of the lowerable seal, further torsion springs 5 may be fastened to the base spring 9. For this purpose, the base spring 9 extends above the first spiral spring 5 to the other, arranged in the longitudinal direction after the first spiral spring 5 next bending spring. This arrangement has the advantage that a plurality of bending springs 5 can be used for lowering the sealing body 2, 3, wherein an actuating rod only has to be arranged on one of the two vertical end faces of the door. However, it is also possible to use only one bending spring without a basic spring and to connect them to the actuating rod. It is also possible to arrange actuating rods on both vertical end faces and thus omit the basic spring.

The actuating rod 4 has an actuating cam 40 which projects the guide rail 1. About a Einstellgewinde 41, a connecting piece 42 is connected to the actuating cam 40. At the connecting piece 42, the drive mechanism, or the base spring 9 or the bending spring 5, is fastened to a first attachment point 8.

The spiral spring 5 extends from this first attachment point 8 in guide rail 1 to a second attachment point 8 'for the drive mechanism. At this point, the spiral spring 5 is connected to the sealing body, more precisely to a carrier rail 2. As a fastening means a pressure joint 6 is present. This pressure joint is rotatably secured with retaining cam 60 on the support rail 2 and has a spring guide 61. This is detailed in the FIGS. 4a and 4b recognizable.

At its second end, the bending spring 5 is fastened to the guide rail 1 at a third fastening point 8 "of the drive mechanism 1. A rotary joint 7 serves as the fastening means. The rotary joint 7 has a latching element 70 for latching into a recess 13 of the guide rail 1 and a spring receptacle 71 for fixing the second end.

FIG. 3a represents the raised state of the door seal, as is the case with an open door leaf. The sealing body 2, 3 is biased by the bending spring 5 upwards. If the door is closed, the actuating cam 40 is pressed, pushed the connector 42 with the base spring 9 to the rear and the bending spring 5 is bent. The bending spring 5 presses the sealing body, more precisely, the support rail 2, against the abutment 7 on the pressure joint 6 down. If at least two such bending springs are present, the carrier rail 2 is lowered at least approximately parallel to the guide rail 1 downwards.

The door seal now points, as in FIG. 2 shown and described below, a special third attachment point 8 "for the drive mechanism, wherein the door seal is preferably of mirror-symmetrical construction with regard to its vertical longitudinal center plane, in particular at least the guide rail 1 and the support rail 2 are mirror-symmetrical.

As can be seen, the guide rail 1 a web 11 and two laterally disposed thereon, downwardly projecting leg 10. The guide rail 1 thus has a substantially U-shaped cross-section, being open at the bottom.

The sealing body comprises the carrier rail 2 and a sealing element 3 arranged thereon. The support rail 2 is preferably also formed substantially U-shaped, wherein it is formed open at the top. It preferably has an outer leg 20 and an inner leg 21 on both sides. The outer leg 20 has at the second attachment point 8 'an opening 22 for receiving the retaining cams 60, with which the bending spring 5 is fixed to the support rail 2.

The sealing element 3 is in this embodiment, a one-piece sealing lip, which is laterally attached to the support rail 2 and has protruding legs 30 which abut when lowering the seal slidably on inner walls of the legs of the guide rail 1. Guide rail 1 and support rail 2 are preferably made of metal, in particular aluminum, and the sealing element made of an elastomeric material, in particular a rubber.

According to the invention, the guide rail 1 has at least one, here on each side of a downwardly projecting inner rib 12. This rib 12 preferably extends over the entire length of the guide rail 1. However, it may also be present only in the region of the attachment points.

The recess 13 for fastening the spiral spring 5 at the third attachment point 8 "is arranged in this inner rib 12. As a result, the spiral spring 5 extends in a space formed by the inner leg 21 of the support rail 2 and the inner rib 12 of the guide rail 1 A gap, which is formed by the outer leg 10 of the guide rail 1 and its inner rib 12, is free and can thus be used by the upwardly projecting leg 30 of the sealing element 3. The support rail 2 has a recess in the region of the third fastening point 8 " 23, so that the carrier rail 2 can be raised beyond this attachment point 8 "as far as the stop on the underside of the web 11 of the guide rail 1. This is in the FIGS. 3a and 3b recognizable.

Thus, the bending spring 5 can be attached in a simple manner to the usually not visible from the outside rib 12, the recess 13 is formed open at the bottom. As a result, the latching element 70, for example a projecting nubs, can be inserted or snapped in from below. An opening in the outer leg 10 of the guide rail 1 is not necessary. Thus, the insertion point can be easily found even without visual contact, the recess 13 down preferably an extension 14, as shown in FIG. 5 is clearly recognizable. The extension 14 is preferably trapezoidal and ends in the upper region in a circular receptacle 15, which has a larger diameter than the upper side of the trapezium. The inserted from below latching element 70 thus latches into this circular receptacle 15 and holds the pivot 7 and thus the second end of the spiral spring 5 firmly in this upper position. As mentioned above, this type of attachment can be used not only on guide rails 1 with inner ribs 12, but on the known guide rails 1 on their outer legs 10.

Die nach unten offene Ausnehmung erleichtert die Montage der Biegefeder 5.The attachment of the spiral spring 5 on the inner rib 12 thus allows the lowerable seal formed overall relatively low, wherein the sealing element can still extend laterally over a sufficiently long distance. The downwardly open recess facilitates the assembly of the bending spring. 5
