Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Falzapparat (1) für eine Rollenrotationsdruckmaschine, mit einer Querschneideinrichtung (11), einem Sammelzylinder (12) und einem Falzklappenzylinder (13), wobei ein der Querschneideinrichtung (11) zugeführter erster Bahnstrang (6) aus einer ersten Anzahl Bedruckstoffbahnen mit der Querschneideinrichtung (11) in erste Druckprodukte querschneidbar ist und die ersten Druckprodukte mit dem Sammelzylinder (12) und dem Falzklappenzylinder (13) anschließend querfalzbar sind. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass eine Zusatzquerschneideinrichtung (21) vorgesehen ist, wobei ein zugeführter zweiter Bahnstrang (7) aus einer zweiten Anzahl Bedruckstoffbahnen (8,9) mit der Zusatzquerschneideinrichtung (21) in zweite Druckprodukte schneidbar ist, und dass eine Überführungseinrichtung (26) zum Überführen der aus dem zweiten Bahnstrang (7) erzeugten zweiten Druckprodukte auf den Sammelzylinder (12) vorgesehen ist, so dass je ein erstes und ein zweites Produkt auf dem Sammelzylinder (12) zusammengeführt und bei der Übergabe an den Falzklappenzylinder (13) gemeinsam quergefalzt werden. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Falzverfahren, wobei erste Druckprodukte und zweite Druckprodukte, welche insbesondere unterschiedliche Formate aufweisen, aufeinander gelegt werden und gemeinsam quergefalzt werden. Das Falzverfahren zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die ersten und die zweiten Druckprodukte jeweils aus zwei separaten Querschneideinrichtungen (11, 21) eines Falzapparats (1) parallel zugeführten Bahnsträngen quergeschnitten werden und das Aufeinanderlegen auf einem mit den ersten und den zweiten Druckprodukten beschickten Sammelzylinder (12) paarweise erfolgt.
