In addition to this radial alignment of the two parts 4 and 6 to each other, these must not be aligned axially with each other. This significantly simplifies the subsequent assembly.

Abstract

In order to manufacture a closure having an improved seal and lower degree of wear at more reasonable cost, a closure is proposed, the closure comprising an upper part (5), a lower part (4) and a conveying sleeve (6) with a sealing pin (65). On the lower part (4) there are two concentric, upwardly directed annular walls (48) which interact under prestress with two corresponding, concentrically downwardly directed annular walls (500) on the upper part (5), which annular walls are directed downwards. The lower part (4) and the conveying sleeve (6) can be manufactured integrally via predetermined breaking point bridges (600), thus making it possible to obtain a cost-saving method of assembly.

Description

The present invention relates to a closure for the metered dispensing of adhesive from a container according to the preamble of claim 1 and a semi-finished product for the production of the closure according to claim 1 and a method for producing the closure according to claim 1 using a semi-finished product according to claim 9.

The storage and metered release of adhesives, such as cyanoacrylates, superglue or anaerobic adhesives and sealants is extremely problematic. Depending on the type of adhesive, it hardens when oxygen is supplied or, in the case of anaerobic adhesives and sealants, through the supply of atmospheric moisture. To avoid this has already been in the EP-B-0899211 proposed a container which is designed double-walled from top to bottom including the bottom so as to prevent penetration of oxygen largely. A matching plastic closure shows, for example, the CH-A-693064 , The sealing pin is firmly attached to this sealing pin lock formed the mouth of the container and the closure itself is in one piece and screwed onto the neck of the container. The one-piece closure has a jacket wall, which is provided with an internal thread, which can be placed with an external thread on the container neck. Subsequently to the jacket wall is followed by a circumferential shoulder on which a sleeve-shaped part follows, which merges into an outlet nozzle in which the sealing pin sealingly engages in the closed position. The mouth of the bottle neck protrudes in the closed state up to the sleeve-shaped structure. When opening and closing the closure of the upper edge of the bottle neck acts as a sliding seal against the sleeve-shaped structure of the closure.

Manufacturing technology, the sleeve-shaped structure a certain taper to be able to be demoulded at all. This means that the sleeve-like structure is furthest in the region of the shoulder and closest to the top in the direction of the outlet nozzle. The area of the sleeve-shaped structure thus comes into contact with the adhesive and various such adhesives are extremely aggressive and dissolve various plastics, especially those which are suitable for the manufacture of shells, slightly superficially. Consequently, the frequent use causes the seal in the sleeve-shaped structure loses its tightness. On top of that, a sufficient tightness too achieve such a closure and the corresponding container must be made extremely accurate mass, resulting in a relatively high reject rate. In addition, such closures and containers must be checked for dimensional accuracy during production so that no faulty batches occur in which the filled adhesive in the container hardens itself.

In order to get a grip on this problem, both the design and the arrangement of the seals must be given the highest degree of attention.

From the DE-A-1536129 is a multi-part closure according to the preamble of claim 1 is known. In this document, various closures are shown, which are partially multi-part and show a separate feed sleeve. However, they are not designed for adhesives and therefore do not meet the requirements of tightness, as they are required for adhesives for various reasons. In particular, show virtually all versions two mutually superposed in the conical region of the feed sleeve seals, which as already mentioned, the lower seal just because of the mentioned conicity, practically even liquid-tight, but in any case can be airtight more. In all solutions considered here, an inner seal is always between the sleeve-shaped structure and a cylindrical wall, which surrounds the sleeve-shaped structure. The lower seal is located at the bottom of the cylindrical structure and in the lower part of the concentric around it running wall, which must have a taper as already mentioned. Depending on the type, these conicities are designed differently. Certain embodiments also show a sealing pin which is fixed to the lower part or even as the figure 9, with the bottleneck itself is connected.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a closure in which the sealing surfaces under bias to lie sealingly against each other so that the aforementioned problems can be avoided.

It is a further object of the present invention to be able to produce such a closure as simply and inexpensively as possible.

Finally, it is a further object of the invention to provide an assembly method by means of which a closure according to the invention can be mounted as simply and inexpensively as possible.

The first object is achieved by a closure having the features of claim 1. As simple and inexpensive as possible, such a closure can be produced during use a semi-finished product having the features of claim 9.

Using a semi-finished product according to claim 9, the closure according to the invention can be mounted in the simplest and most cost-effective manner according to the claim, according to the method according to claim 13.

Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and their meaning and effect will be apparent from the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings.

From the closure 1 in this view, practically only the upper part 5 can be seen, which will be described later in detail. At the bottom of the upper part 5 a guarantee strip 7 is formed, which ensures that the closure has not previously been opened. Consequently, before the first opening, the guarantee strip must be removed, for which purpose it has a tear-off tab 8. Furthermore, in this view, a window 9 is visible through which a view is released on a scale which indicates the degree of opening of the closure 1. Since the closure 1 is completely closed in the present case, a zero is visible on the scale.

In the FIG. 2 the inventive closure is shown in the mounted state before the first opening in a vertical diametral section. The dashed line AA indicates the centerline of the closure. From the container 2, only the container neck 20 is visible in this view. The container neck 20 is provided with an external thread 21 on which the lower part 4, which is provided with an internal thread, is screwed. The container neck 20 is sealed at its clear mouth 22 by means of a sealing olive. The lower part 4 has a jacket wall 40, which is provided with the already mentioned internal thread 41. The lower edge of the jacket wall 40 has a thickening 42 with a conically inclined inner surface 43 which rests sealingly and clampingly on the shoulder of the container 2 in the assembled state of the lower part 4 on the container 2. On the outside of the thickening a retaining bead 44 is formed behind the retaining cam 70 or as shown in FIG. 3 can grip a circumferential retaining bead of the guarantee strip 7, or attacks. On one side, the tear-off tab 8 can be seen.

Zwei Ringwülste 47 auf der Aussenseite der Mantelwand 40 dienen der Führung des Oberteiles 5.The jacket wall 40 of the lower part 4 merges at the upper edge into a first shoulder 45, which forms an annular surface which extends somewhat to the central axis A - A down. At the bottom of this first shoulder 45, the aforementioned sealing olive 46 is formed, which seals the lower part 4 relative to the container 2. Two rings 47 on the outside of the jacket wall 40 serve to guide the upper part. 5

On the aforementioned first shoulder 45 of the lower part 2, two concentric, vertically upwardly directed annular walls 48 are integrally formed. This is most evident in the FIG. 4 can be seen in the only the lower part 4 and the supply sleeve 6 are shown. These two parts are shown here in one piece, which will be discussed later. Otherwise, all previously described elements of the lower part 4 are here again visible, and in addition can be seen in this illustration, an integrally formed on the shell wall 40, radially outwardly projecting stop rib 49, the meaning and effect will be described later. This stop rib 49 extends from the first shoulder 45 to the upper of the two annular beads 47. In the area between the upper annular bead 47 and the first shoulder 45 of the lower part 2, a scale 400 is attached, which of course not visible in section but indicated on the right in the drawing is. For this purpose, the already described FIG. 1 as well as to be described later FIG. 5 directed. In the annular surface of the first shoulder 45 outwardly directed indentations 401 can be seen. The first shoulder 45, or its surface, thus protrudes by twice the depth of the notches 401 extends inwardly toward the center axis A - A.

Dieser Dichtstift 65 weist eine gewisse Konizität auf und hat an seiner äusseren Spitze eine Senkung 66.Furthermore, the closure 1 comprises a feed sleeve 6, which is completely separated in the assembled state of the closure 1 from the remaining parts of the closure. This is in the FIG. 2 seen. For the description of this feed sleeve 6 is, however, to the FIG. 2 not overly burdening on the FIG. 4 Referenced. The supply sleeve 6 has a cylindrical jacket wall 60, which is provided in the upper region with an external thread 61. The feed sleeve 6 thus forms a kind of tube open on both sides. Below the thread 61, a number of guide ribs 62 are likewise integrally formed on the outside of the cylindrical jacket wall 60 in the example shown here four. These guide ribs 62 extend axially practically over half the length of the cylindrical jacket wall 60 from the region below the external thread 61 to the lower edge. On the inner surface 63 of the cylindrical shell wall 60 a plurality of obliquely outwardly inwardly and upwardly directed supports 64 are integrally formed in the upper region, which carry the actual sealing pin 65. This sealing pin 65 has a certain conicity and has a countersink 66 at its outer tip.

The width of the guide ribs 62 are adapted to the width of the notches 401, which, as already mentioned, are formed in the radially inwardly directed wall region of the first shoulder 45.

In der Mantelwand 50 erkennt man zudem, dass darin angebrachte Fenster 9.The upper part 5 of the closure 1 is in the FIG. 3 shown by itself in a centric, vertical diametrical section. The upper part 5 has a circumferential casing wall 50 at the lower edge of a thickening 51 is formed and under this alignment is the already mentioned guarantee strip 7 with its tear-off 8. The guarantee strip 7 is connected via predetermined breaking points 71 with the jacket wall 50. Above the thickening 51 on the inside of the jacket wall 50 elongated cams 52 are formed, which engage in the mounted state of the closure between the two annular beads 47 on the lower part. As a result, the upper part 5 is axially secured relative to the lower part 4 and rotatably guided. In the jacket wall 50 can be seen also that therein mounted window 9.

Die Austrittstülle 58 endet zuoberst in einer Austrittsöffnung 59.At the upper end of the jacket wall 50 is in a second shoulder 53, which extends slightly obliquely upwards toward the center. This second shoulder 53 merges into a sleeve-shaped attachment 54. The sleeve-shaped attachment 54 has on the inside an internal thread 55. This internal thread 55 is designed so that it mates with the external thread 61, the feed sleeve 6 described above. In the transition region of the sleeve-shaped attachment 54 to the shoulder 53 is a flat annular stop or a stop surface 56. Above the cylindrical portion of the sleeve-shaped attachment 54 is followed by a funnel-shaped portion 57, the finally flows into a discharge spout 58. The outlet grommet 58 ends at the top in an outlet opening 59.

The second shoulder 53 has on the underside two concentric, downwardly directed annular walls 500. These concentric annular walls 500 are arranged so that in the assembled state of the closure whose outer side surfaces extend approximately in alignment with the inner side surfaces of the concentric annular walls 48 of the lower part 4. At the lower ends of these concentric ring walls 500 outwardly directed annular beads 501 are integrally formed. The thickness of these annular beads 501 deform the prestressing with which the annular walls 500 rest on the concentric annular walls 48 of the lower part. Of course, this arrangement could also reverse in which the concentric ring walls would be equipped on the upper part without the annular beads 501, while at the same time the concentric rings 48 on the lower part 4 could be configured at their upper ends with annular beads directed towards the inside.

Also on the underside of the shoulder 53 a stop element 502 is present at this practically directly on the jacket wall 50 fitting. This stop element 502 may of course also be formed on the casing wall 50 in this area. This stop element 502 acts in the assembled state of the closure 1 with the stop rib 49 of the lower part together and defined on the one hand in the stop position the fully closed state of the closure and in the rotated position by 360 ° the stop for the maximum opening at which the sealing pin 65 is in its lowest position.

In the FIG. 4 the semi-finished product according to the invention is also shown, which consists of the lower part 4 and the feed sleeve 6. These two parts are connected to each other in the position in which these two parts as a semi-finished product via predetermined breaking point bridges 600. These predetermined breaking point bridges 600 form a connection between the guide ribs 62 and the first shoulder 45 of the lower part 4 in the region of the center of the outermost edge of the notches 401. This arrangement is particularly useful because in this direction and at this point the Game between the supply sleeve 6 and lower part 4 can be greatest. Any remaining residues on the two parts after the separation consequently do not have a negative effect.

The advantage of the semifinished product according to the invention in itself consists in the fact that as a result an injection mold is less required and, correspondingly, no further injection molding machine has to be occupied during production. The additional cost of the slightly greater depth of the injection mold is insignificant. Even the slightly longer Cycle time per injection process is hardly significant in comparison to the savings in particular since the semifinished product consisting of the lower part 4 and the feed sleeve 6 requires no additional use of the surface on the injection mold. The fact that the semi-finished from the retaining bead 44 on the jacket wall 40 of the lower part 4 to the top of the sealing pin 65 on the supply sleeve 6 without exception from bottom to top decreases steadily, the semifinished product can be removed without problems without slide. The small outwardly projecting elevations, for example of the thread 61 or the annular beads 47, are so small that the semi-finished product can be torn out thanks to its elasticity after the injection process without defects occurring. Another advantage of the semi-finished product is that the relative position of the feed sleeve 6 is exactly predetermined in relation to the lower part 4 in the radial direction, and consequently a corresponding alignment of the parts is omitted in the subsequent assembly. In addition to this radial alignment of the two parts 4 and 6 to each other, these must not be aligned axially with each other. This significantly simplifies the subsequent assembly.

Furthermore, as already mentioned, the invention comprises the assembly method for the assembly of the closure according to the invention using the semifinished product as described in US Pat FIG. 4 is shown.

In this inventive method, the two parts, namely on the one hand, the upper part 5 and on the other hand, the feed sleeve 6 are aligned in the axial direction to each other. In this aligned position, on the one hand, the center axis of the supply sleeve 6 and on the other hand, the center axis of the sleeve-shaped attachment of the upper part 5 are aligned with each other. In this case, the upper part 5 is held by a gripper, while at the same time in the feed sleeve or in the interior of this feed sleeve 6, a rotatable finger is inserted, which has at its upper end corresponding slots which are designed so that the supports 64, which the pivot pin 65 hold, fit into these slots form fit. One will normally insert the finger and then turn the supply sleeve 6 until the mentioned supports 64 fall into said slots. Now the entire semi-finished product is kept in the correct position.

In a next step, the upper part 5 is now fed onto the semifinished product 4, 6 and screwed with the external thread 61 into the internal thread 55 of the sleeve-shaped attachment 54 of the upper part 5. This screw-on movement is carried out until the guide ribs 62 on the supply sleeve 6 come to rest on the annular abutment surface 56 below the internal thread 55. Advantageously, this screwing under Monitoring the torque, so that you can be sure when reaching a predetermined torque, an exact radial alignment of the feed sleeve 6 relative to the upper part 5 and on the other hand to have achieved an exact alignment of the lower part 4 to the upper part 5.

As soon as this position is reached, a collision movement between the lower part 4 and the upper part 5 is now carried out, whereby the predetermined breaking point bridges 600 are destroyed. The guide ribs 62 now slide down through the notches 401, while at the same time the patch upper part with its concentric annular walls 500 moves down and slides along the concentric walls 48 on the lower part 4 down to the final position. The already mentioned annular beads 501 thereby cause, on the one hand, the annular walls 500 to be slightly deformed inwards, while at the same time the annular walls 48 are slightly deformed outwards. Thus, the concentric ring walls 500 and 48 are under a bias to each other.

Thanks to the exact radial orientation, the stop element 502 will come to rest on the upper part 5 at least approximately fitting against the stop rib 49 of the lower part 4 in this position at the same time. In this position, the shutter 1 is in the fully closed position, as shown in the FIG. 2 is shown. At the same time, in this downward movement, on the one hand, the long cams 52 snap in the Region between the two annular beads 47 on the lower part and on the other hand, the cams 70, or optionally the annular bead, pushed under the retaining bead 44 on the jacket wall 40 of the lower part 4.

Consequently, before the closure can be actuated, the tear-off tab 8 must be grasped and the guarantee band 7 torn off. Now, the upper part 5 can be rotated, at the same time the now completely separate feed sleeve 6 moves downward, so that the sealing pin 65 is moved in the outlet nozzle 48 down. The adhesive can flow upwards through the supply sleeve 6 and flows around the sealing pin 65 to finally exit at the outlet opening 59.

Since practically an air-tight connection to the outside is realized by the prestressing of the mentioned concentric walls, hardly any adhesive will reach the area of the concentric ring seals thus formed on the outer surface of the feed sleeve 6. Even if a small amount of the adhesive gets into this area, only the inner of the two ring seals is loaded thereby and under certain circumstances can show a certain degree of wear. The outer of the two ring seals, however, remains intact. Thus, in the worst case, the surface dissolution phenomenon can only have minimal effect on the inner ring seal.

In the FIG. 5 is the semifinished product consisting of the lower part 4 and the supply sleeve 6 shown in a 3-D drawing. In this drawing, on the one hand, the guide ribs, in the sectional drawing of FIG. 4 less clearly expressed, clearly recognizable. Furthermore, you can see here also the notches 401. Also visible here are the predetermined breaking points 600th Die FIG. 5 But in particular also serves to show the scale 400, which is mounted above the two annular beads 47 on the outside of the jacket wall 40. This scale can in principle be designed arbitrarily. In the present example, it is formed as a band of corrugations, which can be seen in the mentioned window 9. The further the shutter is opened, the wider this band becomes. When fully closed, the tape is no longer visible, but it appears as in the FIG. 1 represented a number 0. Again, of course, the scale is automatically in the right place, since this scale 400 is mounted by injection molding technology and therefore always the same and in a predetermined relation to the stop rib 49th Thus, it is ensured that the number 0 after assembly, in the completely closed position is reached, also the window 9 the mentioned digit 0 appears. Such a scale is particularly useful in the use of the adhesives provided here, since these act particularly fast and cheap, when the applied layer is as thin as possible. at the previously known closures of this type with a sealing pin, such a control option was not yet.

Thus, the invention provides a closure 1, which is optimally designed for its use, sealing technology has excellent properties and also when using a semi-finished product as in FIG. 4 represented, can be manufactured inexpensively and can be mounted as inexpensively, as has been previously described.
