Description

B. eine Tür eines Kühloder Gefrierschrankes .The invention relates to a heat insulating door for a built-in refrigeration appliance, in particular a household refrigerating appliance, according to the preamble of claim 1, z. B. a door of a refrigerator or freezer.

Doors of household refrigerators usually have a solid outer wall formed of sheet metal and a plastic inner deep drawn wall, which are interconnected at their edges to define a cavity. This cavity is filled with a foam material to form an insulating layer. This structure is quite simple, yet high demands are placed on the doors, resulting from the field of application and the competition.

The heat-insulating doors, which are used in refrigerators, must have a certain stability, since they must be suitable for carrying an often considerable weight, because on the refrigerator door often fitted to the inner wall door racks are attached, which is the storage of small parts or bottles allow the inside of the door.

Vacuum insulation panels, whose walls are profiled to improve the resistance to the external atmospheric pressure are, for example GB 730 699 A . GB 715 174 A and GB 730 146A known. Inner and outer wall of the panels are welded at their edges to form laterally projecting webs. These bars prevent the direct use of the panels as the door of a refrigerator.

Household appliances using heat-insulating walls are under enormous price pressure. The devices and thus their components must therefore always be cheaper both in material costs and assembly. Consequently, one strives to keep the proportion of material as low as possible. Therefore, as thin as possible sheets are used for the outer walls. However, to give the walls the required stability, these relatively unstable walls are provided with stiffening rails extending along or around the walls particularly neuralgic areas, such as the attachment regions of subjects or recordings extend provided. However, these rails must be integrated into the wall or housing wall structure and fixed there, which in turn means an effort that one would like to avoid.

A heat-insulating door for a refrigerator of the type described above, having the features of the preamble of claim 1, is made of US-A-6 138 432 known.

The invention has for its object to provide a heat insulating door for a built-in refrigeration appliance, in particular household refrigeration appliance, which has sufficient rigidity with the least possible use of materials.

The object is achieved according to the invention by a heat-insulating door for a built-in refrigerator with the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, an outer wall of the heat-insulating door is profiled at least in regions. Thus, with low material requirements, a sufficient stability of the heat-insulating door can be achieved without the need for additional stiffening elements, such as stiffening rails. Due to the profiling, extremely thin, material-saving outer walls can be used, which nevertheless are able to build a rigid door which is suitable to serve as a support for the carriers of Kühlgutablagen, such as shelves or door shelves.

By at least 60% of a wall surface is profiled, the inherent rigidity is increased so that it can be dispensed with additional stiffening elements. Thus, the entire wall can take over the functionality of a load-bearing wall, it is also stable enough to attach chilled goods to her, although it can be worked with an extremely thin wall thickness. Since the edge regions of the wall surface are not profiled, connections of the walls with each other or with other components of the heat-insulating door, in particular with a closing bar bordering the cavity of the door at the top or bottom, can be produced in a simple manner on this smooth surface.

Preferably, metal sheets of the heat-insulating door are at least partially profiled. Often, the surface of the outside wall of the refrigerator door is made of metal, steel or stainless steel. These metal sheets are particularly suitable for the application of surface profiles. The profiling can be realized in the context of the manufacturing process of the sheets particularly advantageous by means of profile rolling. A profiling of the outer wall has the additional advantage that the refrigerator can thereby be added to an individual note in terms of aesthetic considerations.

In a preferred embodiment, elongated profiles are used which extend over the height of the door. As a result, the heat-insulating door, in particular in the direction of gravity, which is the main direction of action of the forces caused by the refrigerated goods trays fastened to the door, has an increased inherent rigidity.

In a preferred embodiment, the profiled wall is designed as a trapezoidal or rectangular wall. That is, the profile causes at least partially a flat pattern on the wall, which is similar in cross-section of the wall of a canted line, which consists of juxtaposed trapezoidal or rectangular elements. In particular, the trapezoidal design of the profiling gives the wall a particularly high rigidity.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the profiling takes place in the form of waves, so that the profiled wall in cross section shows a wavy line, ie a curved line. This form of profiling results in a somewhat less stable wall than the profiling with angular lines, but the wall is easier to clean because a shaft surface has no edges but is relatively smooth.

Other developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

Further details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the subclaims in connection with the description of an embodiment which is explained in detail with reference to the drawing.

Elements with the same function and mode of action are in the FIGS. 1 to 6 each provided with the same reference numerals.

Fig. 1 shows a section through a refrigerator door 1 of the prior art, which has a formed by thermoforming plastic inner wall 2, a heat insulating layer 3 and an outer wall 4 connected to the inner wall 2 to a door body. The outer wall 4 formed of sheet steel is connected to the inner wall 2 by the wetting effect of the foaming of polyethane, in which bounded by the inner wall 2 and the outer wall 4 space, insulating layer 3 to form a dimensionally stable structure. In the foamed insulation layer 3 usually stiffening rails 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d are formed, which give the refrigerator door 1 sufficient stability, although both the plastic inner wall 2 and the steel outer wall 4 are extremely thin and material-saving design. This known structure is the basis of the invention. Above all, it is in need of improvement, since the introduction of reinforcing elements such as the steel rails 5a, b, c and d in the manufacturing process is relatively complex, and thus the cost of such a refrigerator door 1 are unnecessarily driven up.

In the Fig. 2 illustrated refrigerator door according to the invention, in particular refrigerator door 1, is also constructed of a plastic inner wall 2, an outer door panel 4 formed of sheet metal and a Schaumisolierschicht 3 introduced between them. In this refrigerator door 1, however, on the in the Fig. 1 shown stiffening elements 5a to d are omitted, since the door outer wall has 4 profiles 6, which give the refrigerator door 1 the required inherent rigidity. The profiling of the outer wall 4 can be produced for example in the context of the manufacturing process by profiling rolls, which the Press rectangular profiles into the steel sheet of the outer wall 4.

The profiles 6 run as on the Fig. 3 can be seen over the entire length of the outer wall 4 of the refrigerator door 1. This extended course of the elongated rectangular profiles 6 results in a profile element 7, which comprises the entire outer wall 4 of the refrigerator door 1. Through these profiling 6, the outer wall 4 and thus the entire refrigerator door 1 in the direction of gravity is imparted by the wall thickness of the outer wall 4 alone conditional, significantly exceeding rigidity and stability, which ensures that attached to the door inner wall 2, not shown Kühlgutablagen can be, without the refrigerator door 1 is thereby overloaded.

Fig. 4 shows a fragmentary view of a lower corner of a refrigerator door 1 according to a preferred development of the invention. The an inner cavity 8 of the door filling foam material is in Fig. 4 omitted to better show details of inner and outer walls 2 and 4 respectively. On the front of the door, in the sheet-metal-formed outer wall 4, a plurality of profile elements 6 in the form of vertically elongated ribs is formed with round-arched cross-section. The ribs 6 follow each other at a uniform distance without gaps and fill the front of the door substantially over its entire width, from a lateral edge 9 to the opposite edge, not shown substantially completely. On the side edges 9 subsequent lateral flanks 10, which are also integrally formed from the sheet of the outer wall 4, are free of profile elements 6; in the region of the lateral flanks 10, the outer wall is inherently stiffened by the presence of the flanks 10 delimiting edges 9, 11. The edge 11 is adjoined by an edge strip 12 which is essentially parallel to the front side of the outer wall 4 and to which the inner wall 2 is attached in a foam-tight manner, for example by gluing.

The profile elements 6 extend over substantially the entire height of the outer wall 4 with the exception of edge strips 13 at its upper or lower edge. These edge strips 13 are left flat to ensure a foam-tight engagement of the outer wall 4 in a groove 14 of a lower end strip 15, which, connected to inner and outer walls 2 and 4, the interior 8 closes down.

One of the lower end strip 15 mirror image, not shown upper end bar closes the interior 8 at its upper end.

In the vicinity of the lateral edge 9, two screw holes 16 are formed in the lower edge strip 13 and the upper edge strip. As in particular in the running through such a screw hole 16 vertical section of the Fig. 5 can be seen, the outer wall 4 in the vicinity of the screw holes 16 foam side stiffened by a backing member 17, in which a screw thread of a screwed from the outside, not shown screw stops. The backing member 17 on the outside opposite a spacer plate 18, also with screw holes whose thickness is slightly larger than a projection of the lower end strip 15 on the front of the outer wall 4. Thus prevents the spacer plate 18 that a fastened by means of screws on its outside, L-shaped fitting member 19 presses against the protruding edge of the lower end strip 15 and affects their seat or damaged.

A horizontal leg 20 of the fitting part 19 extends at a small distance along the underside of the end strip 15th

The fitting 19 is part of a hinge for the pivotal suspension of the door 1. In Fig. 5 This fact is indicated by a pivot pin 21 extending vertically downwards from the horizontal leg 20 and engaging a bearing, not shown, on the body of the refrigerator. Of course, the fitting part 19 can also be combined with any other hinge constructions in order to obtain a pivotable suspension of the door 1.

Fig. 6 shows a horizontal partial section through a refrigerator door according to another embodiment of the invention. While the design of the 4 and 5 , Especially because of the attachment of the fitting part 19 on the door front is predestined for a built-in refrigerator, in which the outer wall 4 is hidden behind a furniture panel, the embodiment of Fig. 6 especially intended for a refrigerator with a freely visible door. The outer wall 4 is here laminated with a film 22 which is stiff in itself and just above the ribs 6 pulls away.

Dies ist jedoch kein Bestandteil der vorliegenden ErfindungThe functional constructions of the embodiments according to the FIGS. 1 to 6 can of course be transferred to any heat-insulating walls or wall parts of a household refrigerating appliance in an advantageous manner. For example, a wall constructed in this way can also be provided as a rear wall and / or side wall of a household refrigerating appliance. However, this is not part of the present invention
