The cross member extends below the refrigerated goods; and can advantageously simultaneously serve as a support for an edge of a cover plate of a lying below the refrigerated goods compartment.
If the refrigerated goods only partially fill the depth of the interior, the cover plate preferably extends between the cross member and a front of the interior, that is, in front of the refrigerated goods when they are in an inserted position; and the cover plate is transparent to allow the view from above into the compartment below the refrigerated goods container.
A cover plate may also be provided between the cross member and the rear wall of the interior. If this is the case, the longitudinal member should be detachable from the cross member to remove and remove the cover plate after removal of the longitudinal member.
Alternatively, the cover plate can be subdivided along the longitudinal carrier, so that its two parts can be removed in each case without the longitudinal carrier having to be removed for this purpose. Conveniently, the two parts of the cover plate can then rest on the side member for support.
The two refrigerated goods containers arranged next to one another in a two-door refrigeration appliance are particularly advantageous if each of the refrigerated goods containers is aligned with one of the doors, so that it can be pulled out if only one of the two doors is opened.

So ist der Längsträger 31 am Querträger 9 exakt fixiert, ohne dass hierfür zusätzliche Befestigungsteile erforderlich wären, die für eine Demontage des Längsträgers 31 erst zeitraubend wieder gelöst werden müssten. Es genügt, dass die Auszugkästen entfernt werden, damit der dann wieder unbelastete Querträger 9 den Längsträger 31 freigibt, so dass letzterer ebenfalls entfernt und schließlich die Glasplatte 37 entnommen werden kann, um sie zu reinigen.The

- Refrigerator according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that one end, adjacent to a rear wall of the housing (1, 4, 5), of the longitudinal bearing (31) is secured to the rear wall and the at least one transverse bearing (9) engages with the longitudinal bearing (31) adjacently to a front end thereof.
- Refrigerator according to claim 3, characterised in that lugs (34) are offset in opposite directions on the end, adjacent to the rear wall, of the longitudinal bearing (31) and in that the lugs (34) are secured applied against the rear wall.
- Refrigerator according to claim 1, characterised in that the longitudinal bearing (31) is supported via two transverse bearings (9) on the side walls (6, 7) of the housing (1, 4, 5) that engage with opposite ends of the longitudinal bearing (31).
- Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the one end of the at least one transverse bearing is secured to the supporting surface (30) crosswise relative to the longitudinal direction of the at least one transverse bearing (9) in a form-fit manner.
- Refrigerator according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one cover plate (37, 39) of a compartment located beneath the chilled-goods containers (38) has an edge lying upon the at least one transverse bearing (9).
- Refrigerator according to claim 7, characterised in that the chilled-goods containers (38) occupy only a part of the depth of the interior space and in that the transparent first cover plate (39) extends between the at least one transverse bearing (9) and a front side of the interior space.
- Refrigerator according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that the second cover plate (37) extends between the at least one transverse bearing (9) and the rear wall of the interior space (2).
- Refrigerator according to claim 9, characterised in that the longitudinal bearing (31) is detachable from the at least one transverse bearing (9).
- Refrigerator according to claim 1, characterised in that the second cover plate (37, 52) is bisected along the longitudinal bearing (31).
- Refrigerator according to claim 3, characterised in that the two parts (52) of the second cover plate lie upon the longitudinal bearing (31, 51).
- Refrigerator according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the interior space (2) can be sealed by two adjacently arranged doors (4, 5) and in that each of the chilled-goods containers (38) is in alignment with one of the doors (4, 5).
