Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a maintenance article having three layers, a first and second outer layer and a foam intermediate layer.
  • a first configuration maintenance article suitable for the recovery of particles and dry friction dust, of the impregnated nonwoven gauze type, in particular a polypropylene web of the 20 to 30 g / m 2 impregnated with a paraffin-based oil then a second cleaning article of the mop or strip type for cleaning, in particular the degreasing of said surface in a moist medium generally admixed with detergents .
  • Said second maintenance articles generally have a basis weight ranging from 450 g / m 2 to more than 800 g / m 2 .
  • a third maintenance article which comprises three layers according to the preamble of claim 1, is described in the document US 5,804,274 . More specifically, this document describes a cleaning cloth (6) which has on its outer face, facing the surface to be cleaned, a plurality of first and second loops having different heights.
  • the first loops (3) are made from yarns having a fineness of fibers up to about 1 dtex. The first loops have a greater height than the second loops.
  • the cleaning cloth (6) can be secured to a textile (7) adapted to cooperate with Velcro® type strips. Between the layers (6) and (7) can be arranged water absorbing layers.
  • the yarns having a titration greater than 1.11 dtex are textured.
  • textured yarns yarns of fibers or continuous multi-filamentary yarns having undergone a texturing operation, as known in the state of the art, are conferred, conferring on said yarns a crimp and elasticity and elasticity properties. volume and improved feel and appearance.
  • textured yarn denotes yarns having a titration greater than 1.11 dtex and having undergone a texturing operation.
  • the loops of the first group may be alternated with the loops of the second group randomly or in particular patterns, such as zig-zags.
  • the maintenance article comprises a first group of loops with microfibers making it possible, when wiping a surface to be treated, especially in a dry environment, to collect all the dusts on said surface by the fineness of the fibers. embedding easily in the asperities of said surface and whose entanglement creates a network trapping the particles.
  • the second group of loops with textured yarns provide, especially in a humid medium, a substantially abrasive effect combined with the microfibers of the first group providing their significant absorbency and degreasing power. Said article may thus be used for sweeping and washing.
  • the user changes maintenance item between the sweeping and washing but retains the same support element (or brush), which simplifies cleaning and improves ergonomics, especially for professionals. Storage is also simplified.
  • the same support element or brush
  • the proportion of the textured yarns must be sufficient in relation to the microfibres so that the wiping article does not have a coefficient of friction on its so-called high cleaning surface, which would then oppose a high resistance to sliding, especially in a damp environment. , harmful to the comfort of the user.
  • the microfiber loops form more than half of the loops on said cleaning surface while the textured loops represent at least one-third of the loops on said surface. This arrangement facilitates the use of the maintenance article and provides effective wiping in both wet and dry conditions.
  • the maintenance article according to the present invention has a basis weight of less than 350 g / m 2 , which is much lower than the mass per unit area of the wet maintenance articles of the state of the art. This feature significantly reduces the cost of use of said article by the reduced consumption of water and detergents during the maintenance of said article.
  • the service life of a maintenance article according to the present invention generally comprises about fifty washes comprising the following steps: prewash, wash, spin and then dry.
  • the article is economical and environmentally friendly since it is reusable and machine washable.
  • the first layer and the second layer may be textiles obtained by weaving or knitting or be non-woven or tufts. Of preferably, they are made from panels obtained by knitting chain or Rachel type. The knitting provides more elasticity and flexibility to the first and second layers thus facilitating the handling of the article of maintenance and in particular the spin.
  • the first outer layer preferably has a basis weight in the range [180; 250] g / m 2 .
  • the intermediate layer preferably of sponge-type foam or foamed polymers, or of a polyester needle-punched nonwoven, forms a reserve of water during the washing of the surface to be treated, thereby providing the user with sufficient autonomy for effective cleaning of the surface. all the said surface.
  • the intermediate layer is preferably taken from the following families of polymers: polyurethane, polyether, polyester, polyamide or copolymers from these polymers.
  • the intermediate layer also forms a reserve of detergent if the washing water has been adjuvanted with chemicals eg fungicides, bactericides, etc. depending on the application. Obviously due to the absorbency inherent in the textile first and second outer layers, they also constitute a reserve of water and possibly detergent.
  • the textured yarns are preferably chosen from the following families of polymers, optionally mixed in the said yarns: polyamide, rayon, cotton and more particularly polyester.
  • the titration of the textured yarns is preferably between 4 and 8 dtex, for example equal to 5.11 dtex.

  • the microfibers are preferably selected from the following families of polymers, optionally in a mixture: nylon, polypropylene and polyester. They can be mixed with spun yarns of fibers preferably taken from the following families of polymers: nylon, rayon, cotton, polyester, polypropylene.
  • the maintenance article can take any form as long as it is adapted to the ergonomics of the surface to be cleaned and facilitates the handling of said article.
  • the maintenance article preferably has a rectangular or substantially trapezoidal shape. It can also have a round or elliptical shape.
  • the intermediate layer is a foam secured by buckling along its two faces to the first and second outer layers.
  • This technique consists in sticking, according to its two faces melted superficially by the flame during buckling, the intermediate layer of synthetic foam between the first and second outer layers thus avoiding a sewing operation less productive and more expensive.
  • This technique makes it possible to obtain an assembly which is very resistant to delamination, without any external adhesive supply, and avoids possible fraying due to sewing threads.
  • the complex formed of the first and second layers and the intermediate layer is cut by ultrasound to form a maintenance article.
  • the selected materials forming said layers allow ultrasonic cutting. This cutting technique is precise, fast, avoids the formation of pilling, does not stiffen the edges of said article and does not increase its mass per unit area.
  • the intermediate layer is a polyurethane and polyether copolymer foam, preferably having a density in the range [20; 30] Kg / m3.
  • the polyurethane and polyether copolymer foam is elastic, flexible and has good resistance to abrasion, tearing and machine washes at 60 ° C.
  • the foam is selected so that the buckling operation is feasible.
  • This thin foam has a reserve of sufficient water for cleaning a room of the order of 20 m 2 , and a sufficient thickness, preferably of the order of 3 mm to 5 mm, to marry the surface to be wiped. to to collect the maximum of particles and bacteria and ensure satisfactory ergonomics.
  • the maintenance article has a basis weight of less than 250 g / m 2, in particular of the order of 230 g / m 2 .
  • the maintenance article has an absorption capacity of 3.4 grams of water per gram of said article. • the article has a water release rate on the surface to be washed improved compared to traditional washing article formats, as shown in the table below.
  • Composition care article Absorption capacity in gram of water per gram of maintenance article Water restitution rate on the surface to be washed AT 3.4 69% B 2 60%
  • This characteristic gives the user more autonomy and avoids wasting water and detergent, an important criterion in the case of industrial cleaning where the doses of detergent are measured, sometimes for meet specific quality criteria, for example for the pharmaceutical or advanced industries (microprocessor manufacturing, ).
  • the loops at the so-called cleaning surface of the first outer layer have a height in the range [2; 5] mm. In this interval the loops, by their shape and size, facilitate the recovery and imprisonment of dust particles or other fine particles.
  • the first group and the second group of loops form continuous and alternating columns.
  • the number of columns of loops of the first group relative to the number of columns of loops of the second group on the so-called cleaning surface is of the order of 9 to 1 to 6 for 4, and preferably of 7 for 3.
  • the number of loop columns of the first group comprising microfibers is greater than the number of loop columns of the second group comprising textured yarns.
  • the Applicant has found that the best compromise for achieving efficient sweeping and washing is 7 loop columns comprising alternating polyester microfibers with 3 loop columns comprising polyester textured yarns. This arrangement corresponds to a proportion by weight of 70% of microfibre loops with respect to 30% of textured yarn loops on the first outer layer.
  • the first group of loops comprises only polyester microfibers and the second group of loops comprises only polyester textured yarns.
  • polyester fibers being hydrophobic by definition, have a low absorption capacity but sufficient to retain chemical agents without excess. In addition, they release little water on the surface to be washed so that it dries quickly. By nature polyester absorbs fat thus preventing that they do not redeposit themselves. The polyester is finally very resistant to abrasion and chemicals, especially those used in alkaline detergents. Polyester being a synthetic material, by rubbing the so-called cleaning surface, the fibers are charged with static electricity thus attracting more particles.
  • the titration of microfibers is preferably between 0.56 dtex and 0.58 dtex.
  • the titration of the textured yarns is preferably 5.11 dtex.
  • the second outer layer has on all or part of one of its faces loops able to hook with a cleaning support element comprising hooks, which loops are formed during the knitting of the panel in which said second layer has been made.
  • the knit forming the second layer is polyester so that the maintenance article is easily recyclable, the first layer also being polyester.
  • the second outer layer preferably has a basis weight of the order of 20 to 50 g / m 2 .
  • the loops are formed by the openings or 'days' in the knit of the second outer layer, through which the foam of the intermediate layer is visible. Hooks and / or loops, of the self-gripping type, are able to hook securely to the surface of the knit of the second outer layer.
  • the telescopic handle has a length that is adjustable by definition and allows the user to access and clean easily high surfaces.
  • the said maintenance article being securely fixed by the system fastening on the underside of the tray or "head", which is removably attached to the telescopic handle, the user does not need to bend down to recover said maintenance item, just do rotate the telescopic handle.
  • the subject of the present invention is, according to a second aspect, a method for cleaning a given surface, typically comprising a first wiping step in a dry medium of said surface with a view to dedusting with a first cleaning assembly described above, then a second moist wipe step of said surface for washing with a second cleaning assembly described above.
  • the first and second cleaning assemblies have the same support element.
  • the user uses a first support element and a first maintenance article for scanning. Then, without stooping, he changes the first cleaning article by a second article on the tray of the first support element to carry out the washing.
  • This method is preferably particularly adapted to reduced surfaces, of the order of 20m 2 to 30m 2 .
  • the outer layers of said articles have loops or "days" capable of cooperating for their attachment with hooks and / or loops Velcro® type arranged on the plate of a same support member.
  • the user especially in the field of professional cleaning, thus only needs a single support element on his carriage and not two respectively adapted in the state of the art nonwoven impregnated for dusting and the headband.
  • cotton or microfiber having a basis weight greater than 450 g / m 2 for washing.
  • the use of two maintenance articles with very different characteristics requires specific support elements.
  • the use of a lightweight non-impregnated nonwoven for example requires a sufficiently heavy plateau to drive said nonwoven which decreases the ergonomics of the station.
  • the maintenance article 1 comprises three layers: a first outer layer 2, a second outer layer 4 and an intermediate layer 3. Said article 1 makes it possible to collect the dust from a surface and to wash it.
  • the first outer layer 2 has a so-called cleaning surface 5, which is provided with groups of columns of alternating loops.
  • the first three groups 8, 10 and 12 are made of polyester microfibers and the second two groups 9 and 11 consist of textured polyester yarns.
  • the polyester textured yarns have a titration of about 5.11 dtex and the polyester microfibers have a titration of between 0.56 dtex and 0.58 dtex.
  • the first outer layer 2 can be made from a woven panel, knitted or from a tuft or a nonwoven. Said panel is knitted according to a chain type knitting or Rachel, more particularly according to a type of armor Rachel allowing in particular to obtain knitwear.
  • the first layer 2 has a weight per unit area in the range [180; 250] g / m 2 , and preferably equal to 180 g / m 2 .
  • the intermediate layer 3 is secured by buckling along its two faces to the first 2 and second 4 outer layers.
  • This technique consists of superficially flaming each face against the glue of the intermediate layer 3 thus avoiding a less productive seam and risk of fray. This provides sharp edges and retaining the flexibility of layers 2,3 and 4 constituting Article 1.
  • the loops 7 at the so-called cleaning surface 5 have a height preferably in the range [2; 5] mm. By their shape and their dimensions, these loops 7 make it possible to collect and imprison more dust than if the first outer layer 2 was a knit or a velvet fabric.
  • the intermediate layer 3 is preferably chosen from the following families of polymers or copolymers: polyester, polyether or polyurethane.
  • the intermediate layer 3 is a polyurethane and polyether copolymer foam preferably having a density in the range [20; 30] kg / m 3, preferably equal to about 25 Kg / m 3, providing good strength. abrasion and compression of the maintenance article.
  • the intermediate layer 3 has a weight per unit area in the range [20; 50] g / m 2 , and preferably equal to 30 g / m 2 .
  • the intermediate layer 3 forms a reserve of water and possibly detergent during washing.
  • the microfibers are very absorbent and can degrease a surface without detergent.
  • the textured yarns have a titration and an apparent volume by their curling much greater than the microfibres, allowing them to exert a slight abrasion on the surface to be maintained in a dry medium as in a humid environment, facilitating the stain removal of the particles of the so-called area.
  • the textured polyester son reduce the coefficient of friction of the so-called cleaning surface 5 facilitating the slipperiness of the cleaning article during wiping, especially in a humid environment.
  • This layer 3 preferably has an absorption capacity of 3.4 g of water per g of said article 1.
  • article 1 progressively restores the water to be cleaned on the surface, thus ensuring degreasing and possibly uniform disinfection if detergents have been added to the wash water.
  • the number of loop columns of the first groups 8, 10 and 12 is between 7 and 9 for a number of columns of loops of the second groups 9 and 11 ranging from 1 to 4.
  • This arrangement corresponds to a proportion by weight of 70% of polyester microfibers for 30% of yarns. textured polyester. This ratio is optimal for producing an effective maintenance article 1 for both dusting and washing.
  • the second outer layer 4 has the function of ensuring the joining of the article 1 to the underside of a tray or head of a broom with self-gripping means Velcro® type.
  • the second layer 4 is made of a panel which can be knitted, nonwoven or woven and more particularly knitted according to a knitting of the warp type leaving openings or 'days' in the knit through which the foam 3 is visible.
