Definitions

  • the invention relates to applicators for applying a product, such as mascara, to eyelashes and / or eyebrows.
  • Such applicators have been known for many years. Applicators of various shapes and configurations have been proposed without always giving complete satisfaction to the users. In fact, it is most often expected that the applicator performs as many functions as possible.
  • the first is an elongation function. In other words, eyelashes once made up must give the impression of being relatively long.
  • the second function is to give volume; The application of the product makes it possible to give the eyelashes an apparent volume larger than their volume in the naked state.
  • the third function is a bending function that aims to curl the lashes as much as possible.
  • a fourth function is the function of separation: the eyelashes must be made up by being properly separated from each other, without forming a package.
  • Applicators have been proposed which include a bottle brush.
  • the advantage of the brush is to load easily with a large amount of product, which avoids the user having to replace the applicator frequently in the product tank during the makeup operation to recharge it .
  • Applicators comprising a comb have also been proposed. These allow to separate the eyelashes from each other.
  • EP-1 475 013 an applicator comprising a plurality of brush sectors and a plurality of combs distributed around the longitudinal axis of the applicator. This applicator makes it possible to obtain good results in terms of makeup. However, it was found that to achieve this result, the user had to perform a gesture requiring some attention and a certain address.
  • An object of the invention is to provide an even more efficient applicator, including an applicator to obtain a good result in terms of elongation, bending and volume by means of a makeup gesture that is particularly simple and easy to implement.
  • the helical configuration of such a brush makes it possible to obtain a very satisfactory makeup result by means of a gesture that is particularly simple and easy to carry out by the user.
  • This action makes it possible to apply a substantial amount of product on the eyelashes.
  • the applicator catches all the eyelashes coming to his contact.
  • the eyelashes are taken in particular in the teeth of the comb and undergo a homogeneous treatment.
  • this applicator uses the four functions of treatment of the eyelashes (volume, separation, elongation and curling) simultaneously on each eyelash, and this over the entire length of the eyelash from its base to its free end.
  • the or each brush sector of the applicator according to the invention makes it possible to hang the eyelashes and to apply the product gently on each of them. It distributes the product properly on the eyelashes and gives each lash a certain volume quickly, as well as shine, while giving it a curvature.
  • the or each comb makes it possible to treat the eyelashes individually by separating them from each other and producing an elongating effect.
  • the comb drives the product throughout each eyelash and also promotes a good distribution.
  • the eyelash is masked from the root to the tip and properly curved.
  • the invention makes it possible more generally to obtain a better result in terms of make-up than in the case of a brush-type applicator. Indeed, it gives volume to the eyelashes without forming packages on them. And the eyelashes are not stuck together. Compared to an applicator consisting only of a comb, the invention again makes it possible to avoid the formation of packets.
  • the applicator according to the invention also makes it possible to increase the reproducibility of the result constituted by the makeup. Indeed, the application taking place by means of a simple and fast gesture, the result is obtained immediately. The user therefore reloads the applicator less often than with a conventional applicator. The air movements in the product tank are reduced. The properties, in particular the rheological properties of the product contained in the reservoir are therefore preserved longer. The result of makeup to which they lead is therefore also reproducible longer.
  • the user passes the applicator on the eyelashes by means of a straight gesture without rotating the applicator, it obtains by means of this simple gesture and immediately the effects of volume, separation, elongation and bending. In this way, it is possible in particular to give the eyelashes the classic fan configuration.
  • This applicator has the particular advantage of allowing to obtain two makeup results of different configurations depending on the type of gesture performed, and in both cases in a very simple way for the user.

These three separators are located right on the figure 22 . Two more separators are planned in coincidence with each other, however, being angularly offset by 120 ° relative to the first three and have a longitudinal offset with respect to the latter. Finally, the last two separators located to the right and back on the figure 22 are in coincidence with each other but offset angularly by 120 ° with respect to the two previous groups. • the fibers will be distinguished from the teeth by their arrangement, their shape and / or their dimensions. It can also be differentiated by the fact that the fibers are more flexible than the teeth, that is to say that the teeth are stiffer than the fibers.
  • An applicator may be used in which none of the rows of fibers have a general helix shape, the applicator being otherwise compliant with any of the foregoing embodiments, for example.
  • the brush sector or sectors will be rectilinear for example. On this basis, it will be possible in particular to provide that the comb or combs exceed of the brush or brushes in the radial direction as explained above. We can even implement the color difference.

Description

The invention relates to applicators for applying a product, such as mascara, to eyelashes and / or eyebrows.

Such applicators have been known for many years. Applicators of various shapes and configurations have been proposed without always giving complete satisfaction to the users. In fact, it is most often expected that the applicator performs as many functions as possible. The first is an elongation function. In other words, eyelashes once made up must give the impression of being relatively long. The second function is to give volume; The application of the product makes it possible to give the eyelashes an apparent volume larger than their volume in the naked state. The third function is a bending function that aims to curl the lashes as much as possible. A fourth function is the function of separation: the eyelashes must be made up by being properly separated from each other, without forming a package.

Applicators have been proposed which include a bottle brush. The advantage of the brush is to load easily with a large amount of product, which avoids the user having to replace the applicator frequently in the product tank during the makeup operation to recharge it . Applicators comprising a comb have also been proposed. These allow to separate the eyelashes from each other.

Document is known EP-1 475 013 an applicator comprising a plurality of brush sectors and a plurality of combs distributed around the longitudinal axis of the applicator. This applicator makes it possible to obtain good results in terms of makeup. However, it was found that to achieve this result, the user had to perform a gesture requiring some attention and a certain address.

An object of the invention is to provide an even more efficient applicator, including an applicator to obtain a good result in terms of elongation, bending and volume by means of a makeup gesture that is particularly simple and easy to implement.

For this purpose, there is provided, according to the invention, an applicator for applying a product to the eyelashes and / or the eyebrows, comprising:
  • at least one brush sector comprising a row of fibers; and
  • at least one comb comprising a row of teeth and having a generally helical shape.

Surprisingly, it has been found that the helical configuration of such a brush makes it possible to obtain a very satisfactory makeup result by means of a gesture that is particularly simple and easy to carry out by the user. This action makes it possible to apply a substantial amount of product on the eyelashes. The applicator catches all the eyelashes coming to his contact. The eyelashes are taken in particular in the teeth of the comb and undergo a homogeneous treatment. In particular, it is observed that this applicator uses the four functions of treatment of the eyelashes (volume, separation, elongation and curling) simultaneously on each eyelash, and this over the entire length of the eyelash from its base to its free end.

The or each brush sector of the applicator according to the invention makes it possible to hang the eyelashes and to apply the product gently on each of them. It distributes the product properly on the eyelashes and gives each lash a certain volume quickly, as well as shine, while giving it a curvature.

The or each comb makes it possible to treat the eyelashes individually by separating them from each other and producing an elongating effect. The comb drives the product throughout each eyelash and also promotes a good distribution. The eyelash is masked from the root to the tip and properly curved.

The invention makes it possible more generally to obtain a better result in terms of make-up than in the case of a brush-type applicator. Indeed, it gives volume to the eyelashes without forming packages on them. And the eyelashes are not stuck together. Compared to an applicator consisting only of a comb, the invention again makes it possible to avoid the formation of packets.

The applicator according to the invention also makes it possible to increase the reproducibility of the result constituted by the makeup.

In addition, it has been found that such an applicator makes it possible to obtain different make-up effects depending on the nature of the gesture used to carry out the make-up.

Thus, if the user passes the applicator on the eyelashes by means of a straight gesture without rotating the applicator, it obtains by means of this simple gesture and immediately the effects of volume, separation, elongation and bending. In this way, it is possible in particular to give the eyelashes the classic fan configuration.

It is also possible to handle the applicator by means of a rotating gesture (the rotation taking place around an axis corresponding most often to the longitudinal direction of the applicator). Due to the presence of the helix, it is observed that this gesture makes it possible to orient the eyelashes towards the outside of the eye, that is to say in the direction opposite to the other the eye. This installs a fringe of eyelashes in a previously unknown configuration. The effect obtained could be described as a doe-eye effect or a lateral leak.

This applicator has the particular advantage of allowing to obtain two makeup results of different configurations depending on the type of gesture performed, and in both cases in a very simple way for the user.

In addition, if the dimensions of the applicator and / or the number of brush sector (s) and the number of combs (s) are suitably selected, the eyelashes are in simultaneous contact with at least one brush sector and at least a comb, thus providing a particularly clear result in terms of volume and separation of eyelashes.

The fibers of the or each brush sector may be bristles or filaments. The row of fibers may be a row of unit fibers or a row of fiber tufts. The brush sector or at least one of the brush sectors may comprise at least two rows of fibers.

  • le secteur de brosse ou l'un au moins des secteurs de brosse présente une forme hélicoïdale ;
  • le nombre de rangées ayant une forme hélicoïdale est supérieur ou égal à deux, ces rangées ayant des hélices de même axe et/ou orientées dans le même sens ;
  • chaque rangée a une forme hélicoïdale ;
  • l'hélice ou l'une au moins des hélices s'étend sur un secteur angulaire autour d'un axe de l'applicateur compris entre 10 et 360°, notamment entre 20° et 130°, et de préférence entre 50 et 100° ;
  • le nombre de secteurs de brosse est supérieur ou égal à deux, notamment supérieur ou égal à trois, et de préférence égal à trois ;
  • les secteurs de brosse sont à égale distance les uns des autres ;
  • le nombre de peignes est supérieur ou égal à deux, notamment supérieur ou égal à trois, et de préférence égal à trois ;
  • les peignes sont à égale distance les uns des autres ;
The applicator according to the invention may also have at least one of the following characteristics:
  • the brush sector or at least one of the brush sectors has a helical shape;
  • the number of rows having a helical shape is greater than or equal to two, these rows having helices of the same axis and / or oriented in the same direction;
  • each row has a helical shape;
  • the helix or at least one of the helices extends over an angular sector around an axis of the applicator between 10 and 360 °, in particular between 20 ° and 130 °, and preferably between 50 and 100 ° ;
  • the number of brush sectors is greater than or equal to two, in particular greater than or equal to three, and preferably equal to three;
  • the brush sectors are equidistant from each other;
  • the number of combs is greater than or equal to two, in particular greater than or equal to three, and preferably equal to three;
  • the combs are equidistant from one another;
  • the number of brush sector (s) is equal to the number of comb (s); and
  • the rows are evenly distributed around an axis of the applicator.

Advantageously, the teeth of the or each comb are locally arranged following each other in a zigzag pattern or following a corrugation.

Thus, it emphasizes the combing effect provided by the or each comb. It also increases the phenomenon of creation of product reservoir at the base of the teeth and between them, This makes it possible to charge the applicator with a large quantity of product at the outlet of the tank.

Advantageously, the comb or at least one of the combs comprises at least two rows of teeth, the teeth of each row being locally aligned with each other and being offset or inclined with respect to the teeth of the other row or of one of the other rows. rows.

In this case also the reservoir effect is observed, this time between the two rows of the comb.

Advantageously, the teeth of one of the rows diverge from their bases relative to the teeth of the other row or one of the other rows.

Here, tanks are still generated but closer to the top of the teeth.

Advantageously, the or one of the combs extends radially with reference to an axis of the applicator beyond an envelope surface defined by the brush sector (s).

Cet agencement accroît l'effet de peignage.This arrangement increases the combing effect.

Advantageously, the brush sector or at least one of the brush sectors has a color different from the color of the comb or at least one of the combs.

This difference in color makes it possible to better control the state of the charge in product of the applicator during use. When the applicator leaves the tank, it is loaded with product and has the color of the latter, black most often for mascara. During use, the product disappears gradually and the color difference between brush sector (s) and comb (s) appears gradually. At a certain stage, the user can thus decide to reload the applicator by placing it in the reservoir.

Advantageously, the applicator comprises at least one separator extending in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the applicator being contiguous to one of the rows.

It is thus possible to delimit and distinguish different groups of eyelashes.

It can be provided that the number of separators is greater than or equal to two, the separators being mutually offset longitudinally along the axis and / or angularly about the axis.

Advantageously, the or each brush sector is in one piece. If the brush sectors are at least two in number, they can form a single piece.

It can be provided that the applicator is in one piece.

According to the invention, an assembly is also provided for applying a product to the eyelashes and / or the eyebrows, comprising a product reservoir and an applicator according to the invention, the assembly preferably further comprising a wiper.

The invention also relates to a process for making eyelashes and / or eyebrows in which a product is applied to the eyelashes and / or the eyebrows by means of an applicator according to the invention.

Avantageusement, on déplace en translation l'applicateur le long des cils ou des sourcils suivant une direction parallèle à ceux-ci.Advantageously, the applicator is moved in translation along the eyelashes or the eyebrows in a direction parallel to them.

Advantageously also, the applicator is moved along the eyelashes or the eyebrows in a movement comprising a rotation, the movement possibly further comprising a translation.

Advantageously, the applicator is moved along the eyelashes or eyebrows in a direction opposite to the nose of the person whose eyelashes or eyebrows are being made.

Finally, it is provided according to the invention a make-up which has been obtained by using an applicator according to the invention or by means of a method according to the invention.

We illustrated at the figure 1 a set 2 of eyelash makeup according to the invention. This set comprises a reservoir 4 comprising the product 6 (here a mascara) intended to be applied to the eyelashes. The reservoir 4 is extended at the top by a neck 8. The assembly comprises an applicator 160 comprising a gripping portion 12 having a skirt 10. The neck 8 has on its outer face a not shown thread cooperating with an internal thread of the skirt 10. The applicator 160 comprises a rod 14 connected at its proximal end to the gripping portion 12 and at its distal end to a tip 161 intended to come into contact sometimes with the mascara located in the reservoir as shown in FIG. figure 1 and sometimes with the eyelashes. The rod here is rectilinear elongated circular section. The assembly comprises a wiper 18 whose upper edge is fixed to the neck 8 and the lower edge is in contact with the rod 14 when it is received in the reservoir in order to wring the latter and the tip 161 to eliminate these excess product at the exit of the applicator 160 out of the tank 4.

With reference to Figures 2 and 3 , the tip of the first embodiment comprises three brush sectors 162a, 162b and 162c each extending from one longitudinal end to the other end of the nozzle. The three sectors are uniformly distributed around the longitudinal axis 164 of the endpiece which is the longitudinal axis of the rod 14.

The tip also comprises three combs 166a, 166b and 166c also regularly distributed about the axis 164 and each extending from one end to the other end of the tip. The combs are arranged alternately spatially with the brush sectors around the axis 164. Each brush sector is equidistant from the two adjacent combs and vice versa. As a result, the brush sectors 162a, 162b and 162c are separated one-third of a turn about the axis 164, i.e., 120 °. It is the same for the mutual spacing between the combs. It also results that each brush sector has with each adjacent comb an angular spacing of 60 °. The brush sectors are fixedly positioned relative to the combs. The brush sectors and the combs are arranged so that they are able to extend on the same side of the eyelashes to come into contact with them, as illustrated for example in Figures 24 and 25 .

Each brush sector 162a, 162b, 162c is formed by a row of tufts 167 of fibers or bristles while each comb 166a, 166b, 166c is formed by a row of teeth 169. In the present example, the fibers of each sector of brush have a radial orientation with reference to the axis 164. It is the same for the teeth of each comb.

Le pas de chaque hélice est donc ici de 118 mm.The brush sectors and the combs present in this case each a helical shape having as a helix axis axis 164. The inclination of the propeller is here constant from one longitudinal end to the other end of the mouthpiece. (It is the same for his step.) It can be provided for example that the tip has a length of between 20 and 30 millimeters, or more generally between 15 and 35 millimeters. The length of the tip is here about 25 millimeters. Given this length of the tip, it is possible here to measure the inclination of each helix by the angular spacing around the axis 164 between the first and the last element of each comb or each brush sector. As we observe in particular on the figure 3 each comb thus stretches about 76 ° about the axis 164 in the present example. It is the same for each brush sector. The pitch of each helix is here 118 mm.

More generally, provision may be made, for example, of any of the following angular spacing values in the present embodiment and the following, with the step values that correspond to: Angular sector in degrees 26.5 30 52.8 54 55 60 76 80 90 105.8 120 Not in mm 340 300 170 167 164 150 118 113 100 85 75

The helices of the six rows respectively forming the combs and the brush sectors are here all oriented in the same direction, giving a general impression of torsion to the tip. When the tip is observed with its vertical axis and its free end directed upwards, the direction of the helices is such that the brush sectors and the combs on the side of the observer are mounted along the axis of the left bottom right up.

In each brush sector, the fibers are all the same length over most of the tip, except in the distal portion 165 farthest from the grip portion 12 which corresponds to about 20% of the length of the sector. On this portion, the length of the fibers is gradually decreasing. It is the same for the distribution of the length of the teeth of each comb, so that the length of the teeth is also reduced at the distal portion 165 of the tip. These reduced lengths near the free end of the applicator make it possible to better treat the small eyelashes located at the two corners of each eye.

As we see in particular on the figure 3 in the radial direction, the length of the teeth 169 is greater than the length of the fibers 167 forming the brush sectors. In the present example, the teeth are about 5 millimeters long over most of the tip, while on the same part the fibers of the brush sectors have a length of 4 millimeters. Over the entire tip, the combs extend radially beyond the envelope surface of the brush sectors, this surface being cylindrical over the greater length of the tip and conical on the portion 165. This exceeding of the combs increases the effect of separation and elongation provided by the combs and the regularity of the application of the product on the eyelashes.

To achieve the brush sectors, we can provide a brush brush comprising a rod formed by two twisted metal son 171 trapping between them fibers or bundles of fibers, as is known per se. The delimitation of three sectors on the brush may be obtained either by cutting brush sections leaving free spaces between them, or by locally crushing the brush. The metal rod of the brush is fixed to the end of the rod 14, for example by being forced into the latter.

Each comb comprises a base 168 or bar, of cross section for example of rectangular shape or square. The teeth extend projecting from the same side of this base opposite the side facing the twisted rod of the brush. The combs are for example formed by being connected to each other at their distal longitudinal ends by a joint 170 common to the three combs, their proximal longitudinal ends 172 being free from each other at the origin. The three combs thus form the three parts of a cage. The combs may be installed on the brush by bringing the link 170 to the distal end of the brush and folding the three combs around the brush sectors, therebetween, to contact their ends 172.

The fibers of the brush sectors are made of plastic material, for example polyamide such as that sold under the trademark nylon.

Combs can also be made of plastic. This is an elastomeric PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) marketed by Dupont de Nemours under the trademark Hytrel.

The fibers may be given a diameter of 3 to 4 mils, or even 5 mils, for example. The fibers may be solid or hollow fibers, or even form a mixture of solid and hollow fibers. The teeth of the combs may have, for some of them, a polished surface and, for others, a frosted state to better catch the eyelashes.

This tip with three brush sectors and three combs equidistant from each other around the axis 164 and each having a helical shape gives a particularly good result in terms of makeup. The tip allows to deposit enough product on each eyelash without overload and without this product is eliminated by the combs.

The combs here have originally a color, for example white, different from that of the brush sectors, here black. This difference in color allows the user to better control the load of the applicator product. When the tip comes out of the wiper and neck, it is loaded product and has the full color of the latter, black most often for mascara. During use, the product gradually disappears from the tip and the combs thus gradually regain their white color. At a certain stage, the user can thus detect that the load of the product nozzle is reduced too much and decide to reload the tip by placing it in the tank. On the contrary, black combs and white brush sectors can be provided. Alternatively, other colors than black and white may be used for the different parts of the mouthpiece.

In the figures that will follow, and with the exception of Figures 10, 11 and 22 and 23 only the end combs have been illustrated for the sake of clarity. It is understood that several brush sectors are each time present.

A variant of this first embodiment is illustrated in FIGS. Figures 4 and 5 . The characteristics of the applicator 160 'are the same as those of the applicator 160 except that the inclination of each helix is more pronounced (relative to a plane perpendicular to the axis) so that the angular offset between the first and the last tooth of each comb 166a, 166b, 166c is reduced to 26.5 °. It is the same naturally for the brush sectors (not shown).

In the variant of Figures 6 and 7 it is again only the angular shift that varies. In this applicator 160 ", the offset is this time close to twice that of the two previous figures and is brought to 52.8 °.

Dans l'applicateur 160"' de la variante des figures 8 et 9, ce décalage angulaire a été accentué et se monte cette fois à 120°.In the applicator 160 "'of the variant of Figures 8 and 9 this angular shift has been accentuated and amounts to 120 ° this time.

We will now present other embodiments of the tip of the applicator.

A second embodiment of the tip of the applicator according to the invention has been illustrated in Figures 10 and 11 . The tip of this applicator 260 has a general configuration very close to that of Figures 2 and 3 . There are thus the plurality of brush sectors and the plurality of combs. However, the number of brush sectors 262a, 262b, 262c, 262d is this time increased to four, as is the number of combs 266a, 266b, 266c, 266d. Again, the brushes are arranged alternately spaced with the combs about the axis 264.

The pitch of the propeller here retained is such that the angular offset between the first and the last tooth of each comb is 90 °. Naturally, this angular offset could be modified while keeping the number of brush sectors equal to four, as well as the number of combs equal to four.

This is illustrated in the two variants that follow. Thus, with reference to Figures 12 and 13 , a variant of the tip of the applicator Figures 10 and 11 has been illustrated, which differs from the latter only in that the angular offset in each helix is reduced to 54 °. It is about 100 ° on the tip illustrated as an alternative to Figures 14 and 15 .

Chaque hélice s'étend ici sur un secteur de 60°.A third embodiment of the applicator 360 according to the invention is illustrated in FIGS. Figures 16 and 17 . The tip of this applicator is different from that of Figures 2 and 3 only by the fact that each of the three combs 366a, 366b, 366c consists of not one but two rows 366a1, 366a2, 366b1, 366b2, 366c1, 366c2 of teeth. In each row, the teeth are arranged precisely following each other to form a helix. The distance between the two rows is constant along the comb. In each row also, the teeth have a radial orientation with reference to the axis 374 of the rod, so that the teeth of one of the rows are closer to those of the other row at their bases than at their highs. It is observed that the angular distance between the two rows of each comb is much smaller than the angular distance separating each comb from the other comb. These distances are for example respectively 20 ° and about 100 °. The presence of two rows of teeth in each comb makes it possible to form product tanks between the two rows in order to increase the product load carried by the nozzle during its extraction from the tank. Each helix here extends over a sector of 60 °.

Chaque hélice s'étend ici sur un secteur de 80°.A fourth embodiment is illustrated in Figures 18 and 19 . As in the previous embodiment, each of the three combs 466a, 466b, 466c of the applicator 460 has two rows of teeth 466a1 and 466a2, 466b1 and 466b2, 466c1 and 466c2. Unlike the previous embodiment, however, the teeth of the two rows are such that their bases are aligned to form a single row. The teeth of one of the rows diverge from those of the other row from this base. The teeth of each row are therefore each inclined, with respect to the radial direction to the axis 474, in the opposite direction to the other row. Each tooth has, in the present example, a triangular shape in end view of the mouthpiece as shown in FIG. figure 19 . The base of the tooth is the smallest side of the triangle. Here again, the production of each comb by means of a double row of teeth makes it possible to constitute a reservoir of product between the two rows of each comb. Knowing that relatively little space is left free for the product in the vicinity of the base of the teeth, the greater part of the reservoir is this time arranged at a distance from this base, in the vicinity of the free end of each tooth. Each helix here extends over a sector of 80 °.

Chaque hélice s'étend ici sur un secteur de 90°.A fifth embodiment of the applicator 560 has been illustrated in Figures 20 and 21 . This embodiment differs from that of Figures 2 and 3 in that the row of teeth 569 forming each of the three combs 566a, 566b, 566c, although retaining a generally helical shape, does not have a helical shape locally. It is observed that the teeth 569 are arranged locally following each other to form a zigzag or a corrugation. This arrangement is such that one can also distinguish in fact in the comb three rows of teeth formed respectively by the teeth forming a first series of peaks located on one side of the undulation, the teeth forming a second series of peaks located on the opposite side of the ripple and the teeth located midway between the two ridges. This embodiment enhances the eyelash combing effect provided by the applicator. This effect is particularly pronounced if the number of teeth and / or their dimensions in each comb are so large that this number or these dimensions could not be reproduced in the embodiment of the teeth. Figures 2 and 3 giving locally to the teeth, a helical configuration. As we see on the figure 20 in the present embodiment, the teeth may be in a high number in each row and / or have large dimensions due to the fact that the arrangement in zigzag or corrugation makes it possible to tighten them. This embodiment of Figures 20 and 21 also provides a product reservoir effect at the teeth of each comb. Each helix here extends over a 90 ° sector.

A sixth embodiment of the applicator 660 of the invention is illustrated in FIGS. Figures 22 and 23 . In these figures, the brush sectors as well as the teeth of the combs have been omitted for the sake of clarity. Only the bases 668 of the combs have been preserved. Also shown are separators 680 which constitute the feature of this embodiment. These separators are here to number seven, but it could be provided any number of separators, or even a single separator. Each separator has a flat shape. It is arranged perpendicularly to the axis 674 of the rod so as to extend over a limited angular sector around this rod, for example 120 °, as illustrated in FIG. figure 23 . The separators 680 have in this case all the same shape, namely a disc sector form. They are each attached to two bases 668 combs forming a bridge thrown from one to the other of these bases.

The separators 680 are arranged as follows. Three of the separators 680 are arranged in coincidence in end view of the tip. The distance along the axis 674 separating two consecutive separators from these three separators is the same as that separating each end of the tip of the nearest separator. They also have a longitudinal offset with respect to them. The seven separators succeed each other so that alternatively we find a separator of each of the three groups along the axis. The seven separators are evenly spaced along the length of the mouthpiece.

Separators make it easier to separate groups of eyelashes from one another when using the applicator. Each separator is further provided with a product reservoir cavity 681. Although the separators have here been described as having the same shape and dimensions, the shape and / or dimensions of the separators could be varied.

We have illustrated to Figures 24 to 26 make-up gestures that can be performed by means of an applicator according to the invention, in particular any of those which have just been described.

On the figure 24 , the tip (for example the tip 161 of the figure 2 ) is oriented with its longitudinal axis 164 horizontal. The user performs a translation gesture forward in a direction perpendicular to this axis. This direction is located in the plane of each eyelash, which is the plane of Figures 24 and 25 for the eyelashes visible in these figures. This direction is modulated according to whether the upper or lower eyelashes of the eye are painted, and that by above or below as shown in FIGS. Figures 24 and 25 .

On the figure 25 , the translation movement is combined or composed with a rotational movement about the axis 164, in a direction that accentuates the friction between the applicator and the eyelashes.

On the figure 26 the applicator is manipulated with the same movements except that the axis 164 is inclined and the direction 190 directed outwards and upwards, in the opposite direction to the nose 192 of the person being made up. The eyelashes are thus oriented towards the outside with a leak effect or crowbar.

Bien entendu, on pourra apporter à l'invention de nombreuses modifications sans sortir du cadre de celle-ci.Of course, we can bring to the invention many changes without departing from the scope thereof.

The number of combs on the applicator may be reduced to one or two or, on the contrary, be increased to four or more. It is the same for the number of brush sectors.

When the applicator comprises at least two brush sectors, they may have different dimensions or configurations. It is the same for combs. In particular, the length of the fibers or teeth may vary from one brush sector to another or from one comb to another. The different combs may be made of different materials or have different colors from each other. It is the same for the brush sectors. The applicator may comprise a complete brush brush forming a single brush sector supplemented by at least one comb.

Within the same comb, the dimensions of the teeth and / or their arrangement may be different depending on the portions of the comb. It will thus be possible for each comb to have at its ends portions in which the teeth are relatively short, while in the middle part the teeth are longer and more spaced apart than in the end portions. The short teeth make it possible to treat the small eyelashes at the corners of the eye, while the long teeth make it possible to treat the long eyelashes to give them volume.

It can be provided that the helix forming the brush sectors does not have the same dimensional characteristics on the different brush sectors. It may be the same on the combs. The propellers of the different brush sectors could be oriented in different directions. It is the same for the helices of the combs. Likewise, the helix of the brush sector or sectors could rotate in the opposite direction to the helix of the comb or combs. It can be provided that the inclination of the helix or at least one of the propellers is not constant. One could thus imagine that this inclination (measured with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis) increases as one approaches the free end of the tip opposite to the gripping portion 12.

It can be provided that the or each brush sector is in one piece for example by being produced by injection of a synthetic material. Similarly, if the brush sectors are at least two in number and for example three in number, they may form one piece. We can then bring the comb or combs on this piece. Finally, we can manufacture the entire applicator (brush (s) and comb (s)) in one piece injected. In this case, the fibers will be distinguished from the teeth by their arrangement, their shape and / or their dimensions. It can also be differentiated by the fact that the fibers are more flexible than the teeth, that is to say that the teeth are stiffer than the fibers.

An applicator may be used in which none of the rows of fibers have a general helix shape, the applicator being otherwise compliant with any of the foregoing embodiments, for example. In this brush, the brush sector or sectors will be rectilinear for example. On this basis, it will be possible in particular to provide that the comb or combs exceed of the brush or brushes in the radial direction as explained above. We can even implement the color difference.
